Husband and I were very excited to pick out a few rugs for our new apartment, and after confirming the posted hours on their Facebook and website, drove over an hour to the Milford showroom.Upon arrival, we were told the entire lower floor (where ALL the rugs are) was completely closed due to construction and the employee had “no idea” when it might be open again. However, there was nothing on their Facebook page (which seems very active) or store website that mentioned this! Had we known, we would have scheduled another day to go.Very disappointing, and we won’t be making the trip again. If you want to buy a rug in Milford, I recommend calling to see if they’re actually even available.

Had 3/4 inch pre-finished light oak flooring installed in my entire condo. It came out great and appears like a showroom floor in a magazine. After several months of contacting flooring companies and countless blown appointments we finally found Galaxy Flooring! Vinny was extremely helpful and never pressured us. I am so impressed with my new floor! A little background: I bought my home 2 years ago and it was a dream of mine, at the beach with views. It was move in ready with hardwood throughout most of the house. The entranceway, kitchen and dining room was a different story. Cheap peel & stick linoleum over porcelain tile as a tan slate. It was ok but I wanted a change & a more modern, contemporary look.I spoke to Vinny about my options. I enjoyed learning the process, what I should get with great detail. I always appreciate knowing the “why”. My house was rebuilt back in 1996 so not an old house but certainly not a new construction. Getting a luxury flooring with a cork backing was the best choice for my scenario.The workers who installed my floor were so professional & hardworking! It shows when someone knows what they are doing and what they are talking about.I’m so glad Vinny steered me in the right direction for the product line and the floor looks incredible!I would use Galaxy again if I ever re-do my guest bathroom flooring. We are in the process of moving from New York to Milford, CT. I needed flooring installed ASAP not to delay our move. Went to a big box store and waited a week or so for an estimate.. We were told they would deliver the product but we had to carry up the 38 boxes of flooring. We could not do that.am not too familiar with the area so looked up local stores with great reviews . So happy I found Galaxy. Called last Monday, Vinny went right out to measure. By Wednesday the floors were delivered and by Friday installed. What a great job! We were so happy to see the finished product and so much cheaper than the other stores yet professionally done and immaculate. Vinny is the best and so are his hard workers. Highly recommend.

I chose Galaxy Discount Flooring in Milford to install laminate flooring for my living room. So glad I did! Vinny really knows his flooring, and is incredibly helpful and patient. I was shown all the specials, as well as all the different brands of flooring, and he explained all the differences I needed to know. He encouraged me to spend time checking them all out, and even let me take some large sample panels home in order to make the best choice for our home. He came out to the house for measurements and selecting coordinating trim. He has flooring for every price range, and installation went great. His workers were prompt, polite, and no nonsense. From start to finish, my experience with Galaxy Discount Flooring was phenomenal. My wife, 2 year old daughter, and I walked into the store on a Saturday and were greeted immediately by Vinny. He walked us through all our options for replacing our old kitchen and playroom floors, detailing all of the pros and cons of each one. While doing this, my daughter got bored and ran around the store exploring and even went into the basement where they have their rug storage. I apologized and he said dont worry about it, let her run around as long as you want. While this has nothing to do with flooring, it meant a lot as many stores would not be as understanding of a toddler running free through their shop. We picked a couple of options and he gave us full floor samples to take home with us. He then scheduled an appointment to come measure the floors within 2 days. He priced out the two options we were looking at and gave his honest opinion on which would look and perform better. He was truly honest as the one he suggested we go with was the cheaper one! He also priced out options based on doing the demolition ourselves vs. his team. Once we decided, he scheduled our install about 3 weeks out based on our availability (he had openings earlier but they wouldnt work for us). On the day of install, the guys arrived on time at 8:00 AM and worked continuously through the day until about 3:00 PM. They were very polite and told us any concerns or suggestions they had based on our rooms and the materials. They did a wonderful job and the new floors truly make a difference in the room. I will recommend Galaxy to anyone in the area for any type of flooring install, they really provide wonderful service.

Replaced good size area in kitchen, hallway, family room and laundry area. All appointments for measuring and installation were met. Installation of CORTek somewhat complex but installers were up to the task. Variety of thresholds and different surfaces to match and all were done correctly. Clean and neat after each day of a two day job.Everyone at Galaxy friendly and polite. Would recommend highly.

I strongly recommend Galaxy. Let me explain.We own Scratch Baking, which recently moved from 58 River Street to 84 Broad Street on the Milford Green in Milford, CT.For the new bakery space, we were provided architectural specs for a quarry tile floor that would have cost $20-25k (including floor prep), which exceeded our remodeling budget. Immediately, I called three different tile stores and researched options at Home Depot and Lowes.Vinny and the folks at Galaxy researched different alternative commercial waterproof plank options and provided specs that I was able to present to the Milford Building Department for approval. The tile (PROGEN) was approved for commercial use by the City. I did a considerable amount of research and Galaxy provided a fair price for high-grade 2,000 sf of tile (which had to be ordered from Europe) and fair price for the installation over a very uneven plywood floor with discontinuous sections of old tile.Vinny worked with a narrow window we provided to obtain the tile and install it. We have already gotten numerous comments about how great the floor looks and feels. I encourage anyone reading this post to check out the bakery floor at the new Scratch Baking location - 84 Broad Street on the Milford Green (formerly Liquid Lunch, between the Bike Shop and Colony Grill).PS. A month after Galaxy was paid in full for the floor installation and in the chaos of remodeling, I forgot to call them to install the final threshold/trim piece. I called Vinny and his crew addressed the issue within 2 business days and completed the task on the day of the opening.In short - we strongly recommend Galaxy.

Im a bit obsessive, and went to a lot of tile and flooring places in Milford (and surrounding areas!)... Vinny and the rest at Galaxy tile were the only ones who not only took the time to really discuss our project (even though it was a very small job!), but also had lots of options, offered great advice, and gave no pressure for up-selling or extras. Even after the sale, they went above and beyond to help us rush order a few more tiles (a last minute change of design caused me to run short!! My bad). Overall a great experience... and the bathroom looks great! We will definitely give a call when its time to replace the rugs!!

Galaxy Flooring did a great job removing my old carpet and installing LVPs throughout my condo. Dealing with Edina and Vinny was great and their installation crew was effiecent, polite, thorough, and left the place spotless. Very reasonably priced and very satisfied with the work done.
