Good except out of lots of things

Out of the items I needed but nice people work there

I know I dont look like a typical Sunday Mormon but I did not feel welcome in the store at all and the older lady in the back was less than helpful.

Garment side is commonly out of popular mens sizes and selections. Theres not enough inventory on the shelves, and the size bins are poorly labeled. The floor space is probably too small nowadays.

Very nice people with great customer service abilities. Thank you for all of your help yesterday!

Pick up a copy of Christmas Break-In starring Cameron Seely from the New Grinch movie! Makes a great Christmas gift!

This is one of their smaller stores so its a limited selection and inventory of books and church related material. Not a bad selection of art pieces if you want what your neighbors have. Theres a small distribution center. The help there are nice, just very slow and often only one register is open meaning long waits.

Had the book I wanted in stock. It was an easy in and out just before closing time!

Deseret Book is always a comfortable place ti visit. During the COVID restrictions it still has the same welcoming peaceful feeling to it. It is clean and has friendly people working there. Sanitizer is readily available. They have spaced shelving out more to allow more social distancing. The Art shop upstairs is a quaint treasure to the store. It has art from so many notable Christian artist and even has Thomas Kindades Disneys collection. They also sell puzzles, prints, calendars, books, and other items the beautiful art is on. The Distribution Center, on the right back side of the store, is another great place to visit which sells temple clothing, garments, and such. I always enjoy going to Deseret Book and this store has the two added departments that ate big benefits to this location.

It is always such a great experience to shop at DB! From books, to gifts, to treats they have a wide selection of uplifting items to brighten any mood or holiday.

Staff here are friendly and generally knowledgeable about what they have in the store. The art gallery upstairs (technically a separate business) has some beautiful religious art (and had great sales at Christmas). Parking is available on either side, and there is a public entrance on both which is convenient. The only complaint I might have is they sometimes dont have enough people at the register so wait times can be a few minutes (the line also isnt clearly delineated, so line-cutters, inadvertent or intentional, are not uncommon). Otherwise, this location is convenient and easy for a quick stop.

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful along with their knowledge of every item in the store. I had so much fun walking around the store asking about different items and they would tell me about every single one. A history of the item. Pricing history of the item. Very great visit I had today!I am trying to be a little bit more like Jesus after my visit.

I love Deseret Book. I love their people & their books. They have more things besides books. Ive done a lot of shopping there. It one of my favorite places to shop.

Very friendly staff whenever we visit. Always knowledgable and helpful with our needs and answering questions about their goods/inventory. Always have sales and great deals going on. Even things not on sale are reasonably priced. Home goods can be on the pricey end sometimes. There is an LDS distribution center at this location as well, which is convenient.

I came to this location to get all things necessary to go through the temple for the first time. When I arrived, I didnt know what I was doing and a bit frazzled, but everyone was so welcoming, especially Beverly. She was the one who helped us and is just the sweetest lady! She was an awesome help! Thank you for making this new experience feel less foreign to me.

The store was clean, the parking easily accessible, the staff were friendly and helpful.My only disappointment was that the Relief Society theme Charity never faileth couldnt be found on anything, but a small necklace and bracelet charm. I was hoping to find something to put on my wall.That being said, all the other products were beautiful and available in the plenty.

Customer service was amazing. Every employee I passed asked if there was anything they could help me with. very kind and attentive!

The retail store reflected poorly on the distribution center. There appeared to exist a power struggle between the two stores in a shared facility. Just unfortunate that the older sisters werent very friendly to several customers trying to ask questions. The distribution center side was more than helpful and actually directed people to the Deseret side with patience and civility not exhibited in the other side.

Love the place. Suited for Church of Jesus Christ members and others who want uplifting clean reads. Great books, friendly staff, pretty home items and great rewards program! They even carry some mud pie housewares!

The store is kept very organized and clean. The staff is friendly. We went to purchase a ring for our 9 year old daughter and they were helpful. They let us use the ring sizer to try and decide exactly which size ring to order.

Fantastic

More than anything this rating is due to the incredibly narrow selection of books they have. They cater to a very specific demographic and I imagine they fill that niche well. However, I am not a part of that target audience so I struck out looking for a specific book.

By far the best Christ-centered book store on the planet

The people who work there are friendly and helpful! It is well stocked amd organized. We love the Distribution Center being attached to it! A wonderful place to be!

I had a bad transaction with your cashier Kevin today. So I intended on buying my overseas girlfriend in Cambodia a CTR ring. But he lost the sale when he made me feel dumb, implying I should have known better than to come in unprepared with her finger size. My confidence was shot down in that moment and I only ended up buying the vial for the consecrated oil. From a Melchezidek Priesthood holder, I would pray that young man gets taught a lesson by his boss in how to treat a customer with more respect than this garbage!

It has a great selection of childrens books. Not sure who is selecting them but nice job.

Ive never had a bad experience here and the staff have always been rather pleasant and helpful. Since it is also a distribution center the selections larger than your normal Deseret Book which is nice. The only critique I have is that the specialty treats and candies are overpriced.

Theres a ton of books and cute decor to choose from.

I like shopping their sale items table as you can find cute items at good prices.

I needed some specific booklets due to a time crunch for a special Fireside devotional. I called and they held the booklets for me. Fantastic customer service in a timely manner!! Thank you Deseret Book!!

The employees were helpful and friendly. They had everything I needed except one thing which they helped me find online. I asked if I had to return any of the books if I could, because I was buying for my wife and wasnt sure if I got the right one. They said no problem. When I had to return it it wasnt a problem at all. I did have my receipt.

I love this store. They have great customer service. I was trying to look something up on my phone and the internet wasnt working very well so a store employee gave me the wifi password. While I was there I had more then one employee ask me if I needed help. I was able to get what I was looking for!

The staff is very helpful, it was easy to find anything but I needed, they have a great selection of books, movies, music, and other LDS things like pictures and stuff for scrapbooking. They also have garments here that you can purchase, and that staff is also very helpful every time I need help in that section.

The dessert selection was minimal. Also there was a cult-like feel in the atmosphere.

I would give it 4 stars. The saving grace was the cashier checking me out in the temple clothes area. I had a hard time with a cashier near the rings. I under stand that you are with a customer unboxing an order but when I stand there for over a minute with no acknowledgement that Im there at all and another associate comes by and assists the cashier. I walked away. You have to consider all the customers. I would have stayed if she had said something to me. I live in casper wyoming. Its not every day I can make it to salt lake. over 400 miles.

The book store was fine but the bathrooms very much reminded me of the neglected bathrooms you find in those rest stops in the middle of nowhere that youll never visit again.
