This coffeehouse is tranquility personified. I walked in having never been to Michigan before and felt completely at home. From the friendly baristas to the menu, not to mention the cozy but spacious working area, this is the absolute perfect place to have a cup of coffee. I had a fabulous cortado and bought a bag of coffee to take home with me :) truly an oasis for the weary traveler.

I personally enjoy the Green Matcha Frappe for tea. The Mocha Frappe (With oatmilk & vanilla shot). The black iced coffee. The cookies are amazing!! Muffins are great as well! Definitely a shop I would recommend and keep coming back too. Always friendly here too! They will customize your orders to meet your satisfaction! Live Oak was absolutely incredible!! The atmosphere was just beautiful-every square foot, every surface, every finish. The coffee and quiche were spectacular.. creamy and delicious. I felt so comfortable and so at home here! When I walked in, I got the immediate feeling of acceptance and love towards everyone. I loved all of the positive signage encouraging kindness, recycling instructions and being kind to the planet.. it’s like they made this place out of my dreams! I’m in the Birch Run area, but I wish I could go back every single day. It was clean, cozy, welcoming, and the staff were incredibly nice. I have nothing but wonderful things to say. What a unique and beautiful gathering place to enjoy amazing coffee and food. I could’ve stayed for hours but didn’t want to yet because of COVID. However, as soon as it feels safe, it would be the perfect place to sip coffee and work on your computer for hours enjoying the atmosphere. It’s so calming. We WILL be back ASAP!

Excellent coffee, many different unique choices made In all the methods possible. Modern design with really the most seating Ive ever seen In a coffee house. Also great outdoor seating too and a drive-thru. Sweet local art on the walls plenty of reading material. You can tell alot of thought went into this place. Many live plants fill the space too. Only here a short while but plenty of artsy looking people coming and going. Cant really ask for anything more. Staff was nice too.

My only issue is that all the coffees I have received recently/within the last few months, are not pleasant. I have tried a variety of different drinks to see if I am just getting unlucky but the flavor is just not as good as it used to be. It seems slightly sour and dark, Not sure why this is. A beautiful place otherwise! Exceptional service!

It was only ok. I ordered. Spiced Chai Latte, and they didnt really know what that was, so they made a tea version of it, which is ok I suppose. But definitely not what I expect from a coffee house. Decorated like a typical hipster hangout. Comfortable chairs, but I had to move the pillows as it was too big for me to sit comfortably.

My favorite coffee shop in Midland! Locally roasted beans make a damn good cup of coffee. They also have great options for diet friendly drinks, no matter if youre watching calories or avoiding allergens! Breakfast quiches and no nonsense bars are a delicious option for food in the morning!

Such a cuddly and artsy coffee shop...the lavender London fog is amazing.

Only came here once to have a hot chocolate with some friends (Im not a coffee drinker). It was delicious. It was a nice environment and we felt like we could sit and talk as long as we liked. There are also different styles of seating options (lounge chairs vs. tall stools at tables) and a group room that I guess you can reserve, but that night people were just in there because it wasnt reserved. Lots of people there on their laptops.

I loved the staff and atmosphere, I would recommend the white hot chocolate or chai latte.

We live almost an hour and a half away so we’ve only been there twice, both times to watch the Santa parade. The first time we got there early. The girls had hot cocoa and chocolate muffins and I had a cappuccino and a scone. We sat in the maker’s room and enjoyed the delicious food and beverages. Yesterday we were running late so we got our hot cocoa to go. Both times the service was amazing. Next time I’m in Midland I’m going back.

A HUGE fan of Live Oak Coffeehouse! From their menu options of coffee, tea, pastries, and much more, to their great atmosphere, it is really a must see while you are in Midland, MI. There are many times where I just take my laptop to work there because it is such a cozy environment that you want to take in. Spend some extra time here and use it as a whole experience!

Awesome place. Actually good prices besides coffee. Lol...they are very helpful. Brought my food to my table since I broke both legs. Were very attentive to my need and quick to service. If they were busy they would notify you and acknowledge your there. First time there and I loved it.

We have only had just regular coffee so opinion is somewhat limited. The coffee is great, the staff friendly and accommodating. Great coffee place thats far more personal and enjoyable than the big chain places .

This is a great coffee shop and I would have loved to give them 5 stars but it feels like they are closed 75% of the time when I try to get coffee. Otherwise, the staff is super friendly and the drinks are always made extremely well.

Super cool space. The barista was very kind and friendly. House made granola bar was honestly delicious. Latte that the barista suggested was wonderful. Definitely will come back when Im in the area.

I needed a good place to bunker down a get some work done while in town. Despite being very busy, there was lots of seating near electrical outlets (important to me) and it wasnt too noisy.My peppermint white mocha was also excellent!

If you were to close your eyes and imagine the perfect coffee shop, Live Oak would match that image. I had my usual caramel latte with skim milk, and it was delicious! I had not known of Live Oak until they had advertised through the Midland Run (thanks for the discount!) While I dont live in Midland, Ill be sure to make this a go-to place when Im in the area. Its location is just off of where Indian and Eastman streets meet, putting it right near the Midland Community Center, Dow Diamond, Midland Center for the Arts, and other hot spots. With their cozy atmosphere, and great coffee, tea, and small bites selections, its a great destination in itself! Friendly people, too!

I live in Illinois and came up to visit family. Can honestly say its the best coffee Ive ever had. Got vanilla lattes both times we went and its ruined Starbucks or anything I could make. Atmosphere is great, drinks obviously great, didnt try food but I imagine their also good. Can buy coffee in bags, though not espresso, and other coffee making accessories. Would love to be able to have them more often, seriously.

The only place in town where you can get a French press brew. Good coffee roasted locally and available for sale by the bag. Multiple options for your cup from blends to single origin. Nice atmosphere and well run. Popularity may demand expansion.

Local places are the best! Live oak is no exception... inexpensive and AMAZING cold brew coffee. We went through the drive through and ordered a 16oz cold brewed coffee with cream and vanilla and 3 packs of 3 chocolate chip cookies (so 9 cookies total) and it was just over $6 for all! Cookies were delicious and chewy, and the cold brew was so smooth. Im visiting from out of town, but I will be back anytime Im visiting family!

I LOVE coming here for red chai, caramel apple cider, and hot chocolate! The staff is kind, the space is a great place to work in, and they love my dog which is just an extra bonus! She looks forward to getting treat through the drive-through window just as much as I enjoy getting my yummy drinks and muffins!

Live Oak is the Beats headphones of coffee houses.Great aesthetics, marketing, etc... but a poor product. This is in large part due to their use of Creation (formerly Heirloom) brand coffee beans. Creation is another locally-owned business - which must have been the determining factor in Live Oaks decision to partner with them, as it certainly wasnt the quality of their beans. If one has a familiarity with coffee roasters beyond Folgers and Maxwell House this will be immediately apparent; both their brewed coffee and espresso are aggressively unpalatable.If you are looking for high-quality coffee, there are several options within walking distance of Live Oak. If you are primarily concerned with stylish decor and think Arabica is a race of Middle Eastern people... look no further.

I am currently here for a trivia night. This is their Makers Room, so it looks like it might be used for projects. The resort of the cafe looks much different, but is very nice. Everyone has been friendly and my order was quick.
