From the first time walking in, as a fisherman, I knew that they had everything I needed. They were having a huge sale as well, which made it a perfect time to come here. I bought a brand new rod, and a few saltwater lures, and it cost less than what I would have paid in other stores. I will be coming back for a new reel for my brand new rod as well. They will also give you discounts based on points you ear to throughout your purchase history. If you like to fish, you will definitely enjoy this store.

Yesterday late afternoon I ordered a new fly reel. Minutes after placing my order I received a message asking if I wanted backing and the packages tracking number. My reel arrived this morning less that 14 hours after ordering it. I tip my hat to the SWE boys, well done! I’ll be back

Saltwater Edge has the best selection of any Northeast tackle shop I’ve been in. If you’re serious about targeting striped bass from shore, look no further. The online store has one of the best user experiences I’ve had on a fishing site in a long time. Pick-up at store or ship - either option is great. The owner, Peter, even opened up the shop on a Sunday so I could pick up the second GSB I’ve bought from him. Drove down from Boston and will continue to do so to support this shop.

Excellent customer service and friendly staff. This tackle shop has the biggest variety of plugs, jigs and tins on Aquidneck island and even further. If your looking for a hard to find lure or piece of terminal tackle you can’t find anywhere else, these guys most likely have it.

I have visited the store in person and online. Both are great shopping experiences. They have best curated selection of tackle I have seen in a local shop. They stock high quality gear for inshore saltwater fishing. Mike was really helpful in helping me select an appropriate first baitcaster reel and complementary rod. The saltwater edge is the best tackle shop in southern New England. The prices are good, the service is incredible, the shipping is insanely fast, and they only sell the best products. If they sell it, they fish it. All the staff are dedicated and knowledgeable fisherman. First time visit to fish Rhode Island- excellent customer service showed me google earth points to fish around Inn at Castle Hill as well as flies and set up that had been working. More than one member of store engaged in conversation and was truly interested in sharing knowledge and conversation. Custom made flies worked well.
