Exceptional service from the red headed female. Besides that I advise you to stay away from this place. They are scammers. They have no customer service especially a short black hair girl who bites her nails. This place is infested with roaches and no ac.

I have used this location since 2004. In June, I tried a different location, paid ahead of time and scheduled a truck. When I arrived at the other location, it was closed, I got in touch with the operator, and he said he took the week off, to party. I went immediately to this location, and they helped me get a truck, they worked with me to use my existing reservation and it was a real pleasure. Not to mention that the woman that helped me was absolutely gorgeous, in I am still in love with her, and its been 4 months. Dont mess around, this is the only UHaul location for you.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS UHAUL BRANCH!!!They force you to take a half-broken truck, so that they can charge YOU for the repair of the truck when it breaks completely while you are using it.They charge you for missing items that you never had, for an excessive amount of rental days, a cleaning fee based on the contract, that has only vague information.When you ask to speak to the manager about things you dont agree with, the alleged one we were dealing with - Hector Garcia - is absolutely incompetent - I really doubt he actually is a manager as he lacks any managerial skills, at least when it comes to customer service.

Very friendly store. Staff were very helpful and efficient. It offers a variety of storage sizes and has a good array of boxes and other tools you may need for shipping or moving. You can also rent a U-Haul van or truck from a well spaced yard.

Second time renting a U-Haul truck from this location this week... Today, their employee named Brian really stole the show. After having a very negative experience with a female employee, Brian stepped in and confirmed my reservation, helped get me checked in and even picked up the vehicle and walked me through the inspection. His positive attitude, and his ability to “problem solve” when he could tell I was in a pinch really turned this review from 1-Star to 5-Star! Please make sure to recognize positive employees like Brian and Juan Carlos, as their attitude makes a difference.

PLEASE TELL YOUR EMPLOYEES TO WEAR A FACE MASK WHILE ATTENDING A CLIENT.My problem with this location is that when I arrived, the woman doing my reservation was first, eating and talking to other employees and also had what seems to be with a cold (she was cleaning her runny nose with her shirt) and NO FACE MASK! When clearly at the entrance of this establishment says FACE MASK are required.There were 2 other employees which seem very respectful and were wearing a mask but this woman was just shameless.Please people, we are still under a terrible pandemic. Be more considerate of others health!Other than this issue, rental of equipment was fine with no issues. It’s a shame because this location has lots of potential and other employees seem very nice and professional.

I gave them a 2 star rating because I only interacted with 2 members of the staff, one was a 5 and the other was a 0 si it should be a 2.5 star but I left some tools in the cab of the van after returning the van at night after closing. I called them in the morning and asked for them to check the van for me, they did and called back to tell me there wasnt anything in the cab, one of the tools was a gift from my brother so I drove over to check for myself. Again nothing there so I asked if they could check with who checked the van back in and the response was I dont know who checked it in, the bottom line I should mot have left the tools and I know they are not responsible for my tools but I feel they should have tried even just a little to help me. I would have done so much more to help someone in the same situation I was in......

Would normally give four stars because there was a miscommunication with my reservation which caused a lot of headache however this branch gets 5 stars because they did everything humanly possible to amend the issue and get me an available vehicle. Jose at the front desk was very helpful and professional handling the whole matter. In the lot, Bryan was so helpful and nice, he was there when I picked it up and there when I dropped the car off —each time with a smile. Never had rented a uhaul that big before and Bryan helped answer my frantic questions. Great staff at this branch, will rent again from here if I am in the area again!

This business is very shady, so beware. I rented a truck for one day. They gave me the truck and it only had a tiny bit more than a quarter tank. The agent said I should return with same amount of gas or pay $4 per gallon. I drove the truck a total of 17 miles and didnt have time to put the tiny amount of gas I used. Upon returning the truck I was told I had to pay an additional $30 on top of gas because I returned the tank with just under a quarter tank. I told them thats ridiculous since they gave me barely more than a quarter tank. They said its in the fine print on the contract. What a bunch of total crooks! AVOID THIS PLACE!

Very rude women on the registerThey dont care about your needs. Its all about money. We had to drive back to get the dolley because they forgot to put it in the truck. It was raining and we didnt check it. They charge us for the extra driving.

Really bad experience here never come to this one, they told me yesterday to come early for a hand truck appliance dolly, I came next day at 9am while they have in stock the dolly and with a rude attitude they told me that the manager was not in the store and the dolly it’s not in the system! Make them rent it to you with a full tank. Theyll give you a truck with a half tank and charge you to fill it up.

Worst experience ever. Worst customer support ever. Worst management ever. I rented a 15’ Uhaul from this location 24 hours in advance for 9pm mobile pickup. I hired a few people to help me move and when we arrive at Uhaul of greater Miami, after about 40-50 minutes of talking to customer support to help me open the lockbox that wouldn’t open, the representative informs me management just never placed the key in the lockbox. Then, she located a Uhaul for me on 27th in Hialeah and claims she reserved it for me I just have to go to the location and open then lockbox with the Uhaul app. I had to spend more money on ubers for me and the moving people and drive 20 minutes BACK from where we came from. Also, almost the same mistake happened except the lady from Uhaul customer support didn’t actually reserve it like she told me she did. I wasted more time and more money and eventually picked up my Uhaul at 10:45pm and finally started moving. Lastly, each time I get in Uhaul about this situation they tell me someone will get in touch with me or they leave me on hold as long as they can. I don’t think they care at all. Stay away. Definitely do not recommend. I’ve used Uhaul several times and this was the last.

This location doesnt care about their costumers at all!! Uhual in general has the worse costumer service for not training better their employees and managers. The regional manager if there is one is not doing his job!! They dont advice you about how to avoid additional hidden charges, they love to charge for their mistakes, and if you bring the gas tank a bit lower they are very happy to over charge you. Oh! but they dont thank you for everytime you bring the trucks back with the gas tank a lot higher than you are supposed to.I rent trucks all the time for my business, and this is my last time renting here. Taking my business somewhere else.

As with many businesses, the customer service quality at this location can vary greatly, depending on who is helping you.In the same day, I had an almost insulting woman help me over the phone who was not happy to help me, then when going in the store, a gentleman helped us that went far above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.It is interesting to see the different levels of service. I might assume management is to blame for the disparity.

My advice DO NOT RENT from this location. I was charged $108 for damage that I did not do. I unfortunately did not have any photos prior and no one inspected my vehicle when I rented it so I had no proof. The manager Hector Garcia did not try to resolve my issue and when I asked to see the photos they had from the last renter he said they were sent to me (which were not) and left me at the desk. He avoided me instead of trying to resolve my issue. It’s Incredibly frustrating to be blamed for something that neither party has proof of. The damage on the truck also had obvious patchwork done it. So I guess I’m being accused of damaging and repairing the work. COOPERATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS HECTOR. Had you have at least gotten out of your seat to inspect the damage yourself you could have at least proved you cared about your customers.

Be aware of the hidden cost: they make you pay the petrol also if you fill up and the charge for every tool 1$ of administrative cost. with this they make 20% more than the original price. Very clever.

Worst place ever 0 in customer service, this place charge me $60 in total for a truck rental returned in 2 hours at the drop off the said all was good that the total was $60 and then the next day they charge me $50 more . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !!

Shame! Be careful and double check gas level and dents. I think they make money stilling gas from you! I am glad they do not charge all dents but they do charge and little Less than a 1/4 of gas from me. ( thanks god that was all, I couldn’t proof the wrong)

From the pickup this was a disaster. I took a video of the outside of vehicle - did not look inside. I also did not have my reading glasses and told the girl I have trouble reading. She directed me.Note: I did original order online, but they made me go through step by step on a screen i could not read without my proper glasses.1. Inside there were 4 additional blankets (we asked for zero)2. Inside there was one additional dolly3. I asked how much fuel was per gallon if I return without any additional fuel (I was told $4 - was not told there was also a $30 service fee.4. We dis a total of 50 miles - The vehicle had a fuel warning light - the moment we got on highway (less than a 1/4 of a tank5. There was glass in the back of vehicle from a previous user. We had to clean this out first.---- On Return -----1. The manager told me I had not fastened the 2nd dolly and there was a part missing - told me my responsibility to make sure it is right before Im left. BOTH Dollies were loose in back, all blankets were strewn in back amongst glass. He backed down on charging me, because my order had no blankets and extra dolly. But he tried and as soon as I arrived told me I had to fold blankets or be charged a folding fee.2. Charged me $30 service fee and also 8 gallons of fuel for 50 miles of travel - ridiculous. Truck should have had ample fuel in it on delivery to me.3. On my original order I did not want choose insurance. The lady just told me to select next next. I did not realize I was going to be charged an additional $28 for insurance I did not knowingly order.So at my estimate of 10 miles per gallon i should have been charged $20 for fuel, not $62 and no insurance. Will never use them again as I was overcharged $70 and treated poorly.Never mentioned overcharges and just billed me after In left.Moral - Never trust them, always record conversations and never trust what you order online is what you get.

Called ahead to verify pickup truck available, very clean and surprisingly new vehicle (only 700miles). Staff was friendly for the most part. I needed to get in and out quickly, no time for games and thats what I got. ***Advice: double check the vehicle mileage before driving off and google map your routes to approximate how many miles driven. Supposedly I went 160miles in 2 days and only used 1/4 tank of gas, which racked up an extra $120 in mileage charges. Not happy about that but it was an awesome truck.

Crooks! I rented a van for $19.95 for four hours. The total came to $342.I picked up one item that would not fit in my car and dropped it off.They told me that there was a dent in the van. I never hit anything. Nobody hit me. I never left the car alone.DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! CRIMINALS!

I will not recommend this location or U haul overall, I was charged almost $600 for 2 days, and $70 for gas when they gave me the tank empty, I will review this in google 10 times.

Friendly staff but the facility is old, the trucks are old, and the elevator was broken when we went to move in so we had to go someplace else. I would rent from here again, but I dont think I would use the storage.

The lady who attended me inside was super nice, courteous and helpful; however they have the rudest workers outside. I was mistreated in a certain way that ruined the opinion I first had of the place. Great service! I was only there to buy a few boxes etc but their staff was very friendly and attentive. Also quick and painless when I had a return.

I was able to start the reservation process using the app but when I got there for the Express Check-in it wasnt as smooth as I had expected. I had to start the process all over again which defeats the purpose of Express Check in.

Did my reservation online, was runing due to the rain and Miami Traffic. They called and I was able to get the truck I needed. Came back next was up in 10 minutes. Good job guys.

I rented a unit with them for over 2 years worst decision ever. There elevators where always broken. When the day of move out came I had to use the stairs and I was on the 5th floor. There customer service sucks. There units are insect infestedand dirty. I will never went with them again. If your looking for a great unit EXTRA SPACE STORAGE is the business! Great prices, great customer service and units are up to cleanliness standards!

I have been a storage renter at this place for three years. A very unprofessional lazy group of people. Starting with the management of the place. Ive had so many bad experiences that a made a note to my self to warn others. My stuff is already in storage here so Im stuck dor now but you dont have to be.

For the first time I do get a uhaul. It was a comfortable truck but the service at the register was very plain and cold. People dont even welcome you or do smile. their actions made me feel like they are doing me a favor. First I called the location to ask question and the lady placed me on hold for more than 15 minutes then I did hang up and drove there when I got There i found the lady was chitchatting on her cellphone. This was the worst rental experience in recent memory. I had a reservation at 7 am and the attendant told me that truck I rented will be here shortly - it was stuck in traffic.Meanwhile, I just saw the truck drive off with another attendant off the lot. I had no idea why they drove off with the truck I had just rented.Never coming to this location again. Worst service ever.

Not in the best area but they had what I need and were fast. The reason for only 4 stars is when I booked the truck online it said they had off hours pickup and I could get the truck at 8 AM even though they didnt open until 9 AM. I booked on Tuesday, planning to pickup on Sunday. Saturday morning I get an email (luckily I saw it) that my reservation was moved to 9 AM, when I called and asked why I was told they dont do off hours pickup there. I had movers showing up at 9, thank God they were good and fast or uhaul would have cost me an extra hour for the movers due to their website being wrong.

Not clean at all! Cockroaches and their feces were everywhere! I had to open all my boxes before leaving the facility and use new boxes, in order to prevent the cockroaches from spreading to my home. I would never recommend this location.Additionally, the staff is not friendly and are not welcoming. It seems like the client is a burden to them.It boggles my mind that the health department has not closed this facility already...

WORSE EXPERIENCE with Uhaul. AVOID this location. I was trying to return a box I DID NOT use and the guy did not want to give me the refund claiming I used the box. He told me to email the manager Hector Garcia and while I was doing this in the parking lot they closed the gate and left me inside the facility without checking anything and I was stuck in there. The emergency Uhaul line completely USELESS, a girl was helping me and in the middle of the call she transferred me to another department and hanged up. This happened twice!! The only way I could leave the parking lot was through a little hole behind a tree but I ran the risk to damage my car with the sidewalk.The next day the manager said he would give the refund like he was doing me a favor, when I did not use the box at all. When I called him to complain about my experience his response was that I was able to leave the parking lot.

Deon was extremely rude. I came in and said hello he look at me mumbled hello then proceeded to ignore me. I had a box to exchange. I stood there for so long I just left it there. Very dirty place, disorganized, unfriendly.

I went to this facility to request information about self-storage. The experience turned dark when Byron Sequeira showed top-deplorable customer service— like no other place in town! Before we could finish telling him what we needed, he interrupted us and said, “we have no climate controlled space available.” When we requested to see the space available, he took out the key, gave us instructions to find the space, but gave us no access code to enter the building. As if that was not enough, the key didn’t open the storage units (I was able to see the unit because one of the units was unlocked). When we went back to the return the key and get our ID back, he didn’t even respond to our “Thank you.” I don’t hope he gets fired, just that u-haul forces him to take a customer service training and he buys himself a smile for the holidays.

My friend’s truck was towed from this Uhaul lot on December 18, 2016, but it turned out that Uhaul did not call in or authorize the towing. The Uhaul employees were somewhat helpful, but I suspect that there is an illegal towing racket operating in their lot and probably other lots in the area. If your vehicle was towed from their lot, please read on...Based on our recent experience, we believe that King’s Wrecker Service and Mr. Carlos Espinoza (of Carlos Private Transportation Services) are involved with an illegal towing racket. When my friend’s vehicle was towed on December 18, 2016, we got the police involved and got the vehicle released without having to pay anything. On that day, my friends and I parked in the Uhaul parking lot at 1000 NE 1st Ave, Miami, FL 33132 and went to breakfast at All Day Café next door. Upon returning to the Uhaul lot, we found his truck was towed. Immediately, a suspicious man (Carlos Espinoza) pulled up in a Toyota 4Runner (License Plate # X87IE) and asked “Was your vehicle towed?” and then he offered us a ride to the towing company. Initially, we passed on the offer. But upon doing some research, we discovered that Uhaul did not call in the towing, even though they had sole ownership of the parking lot and no towing company has a contract with them to tow vehicles from the lot. We called the police and the towing company that Uhaul normally uses, and neither had any record of the towing. The Uhaul employees agreed that something fishy was going on, because only they should call for a towing on their lot. An employee also told me that the suspicious man (Carlos) was often seen hanging around the lot and in the nearby corner bar. We were able to track him down and he again offered to take us to the towing company. This time we accepted. (I wouldn’t recommend this for others; I’m a Green Beret.) Carlos tried to act as though he didn’t know where the vehicle was towed to, but it became evident that he knew exactly where it was towed. He took us to King’s Wrecker Service, which had the truck. The employee at King’s Wrecker Service claimed that they had a contract with Uhaul. However, he did not have access to this contract to show us, and Uhaul managers refuted that claim. Furthermore, Uhaul always uses Torres Towing, not King’s Wrecker Service. When I explained that the truck was illegally towed, the employee still refused to release the vehicle. (We do not dispute that we wrongly parked in the Uhaul lot, but it was clear that the towing was not called in or authorized by Uhaul.) At that point, we called the police. When the police finally came and got both sides of the story, they ordered the vehicle released without payment. One of the police officers actually encouraged me to write this review, to hopefully help other victims of this illegal towing racket. Unfortunately, this series of events cost us most of our Sunday. For this series of events, we believe the illegal towing was orchestrated by this Carlos Espinoza and King’s Wrecker Service as an illegal money-making opportunity, and we are sure that they exploit others as well. If you suspect that your vehicle was illegally towed as well, I encourage you to call the police to have it released, and then to write a similar review or even to initiate legal action against these scam artists. Unfortunately, that can take some time but it is worth it to save your money from a scam, to make a stand on principle, and to hopefully discourage others from getting exploited by this illicit towing racket.
