This commentary is about Gate Openers Unlimited service, not the products I ordered from them. I do my due diligence and the products I ordered were available at multiple vendors, with or without shipping costs. In all cases it was best to order from Gate Openers Unlimited simply from a cost perspective: free shipping but with a minor product cost differential that still made it more economical to order from them. Add to that the expediency of order fulfillment: I ordered my products at 2:27PM Friday and received an order shipped notification at 3:42PM, same day, an hour and 15 minutes later! Given it is Friday late afternoon and the USPS was used, I need to temper my excitement, but early next week I should get my purchase. Gate Openers Unlimited has a great web site and a huge selection; Ill be back.

A recent lightning strike near my home zapped both of my garage door opener logic boards. At first I was going to just replace the 22 year old Craftsman units with newer openers but really didnt want to spend $550.00 for new openers. I found Gate Openers Unlimited with a google search and decided to just try an swap out the logic boards. I purchased replacement boards for both garage door openers and installed them. Very easy to do. And my 22 year old garage door openers came back to life for a fraction of the cost of new openers. Shipping was quick (within 3 days) and the price was very reasonable. Apparently Gate Openers Unlimited knows what a PITA it is to be without a functional garage door opener. I placed my order just before noon on a Thursday and it was delivered two days later. My garage door opener began malfunctioning on Sunday. I discovered that it looked like I needed a new circuit board. I found that Gate Openers Unlimited had the best price on the internet, mainly because of the free shipping. I placed my order Sunday night and it was shipped Monday morning. FedEx projected the delivering day to be Wednesday. I didnt receive it until Thursday morning. HOWEVER, the circuit board came already installed on a new plate for the garage door opener box, which made it that just easier to install! Just had to plug in the wire connector and install the bell wires and it was ready! I did of course need to reprogram the remotes and door pad and adjust the up and down pressure because it was a new board, but no biggie. I am not going to ding them for the late delivery from FedEx. In my book, they deserve a good solid 5 rating, and I dont give that very often!!

Ordered a vehicle detector from this company and paid over $90 to have it overnighted via FedEx Priority Overnight service, which is guaranteed by 10:00 AM the next day. However, FedEx didnt deliver until after 2:30 PM. I left a voicemail and sent multiple emails over 2 week to this company requesting the shipping be refunded based on FedExs money-back guarantee (since theyre the shipper, they would need to contact FedEx to resolve this), but I have not received a single response to date. Just filed a complaint with the BBB and hopefully they will respond, but I can guarantee you we will not purchase from this company again regardless of their response to the BBB complaint. It is inexcusable for a company to not respond to its customers.

I have been using Gate Openers Unlimited for several years now, I love the fact that I live in the same County as them. On occasion I have needed to go to their shop (about a 45 mile drive for me) in an emergency situation. However on normal orders if it is in stock they will ship it the same day as you order, unless it is too late for pickup by the shippers. Their knowledge base is top notch! They are a Great family to do business with.

My Craftsman 41AC150-2 garage door opener was sometimes only working when the remote was within 3 feet of the control board. Ordered the 41AC150-2M to replace my 41AC150-2. Received it in 2 days. After installing it, I found that it had the same problem as the original control board. Called Gate Openers Unlimited. They recommended removing the LED light bulbs because sometimes they interfere with the control board. Removing the LED light bulbs fixed the problem. I found that some LEB lights bulbs causes interference and some do not. I also found that GE makes a LED light bulb designed for garage door openers.

This company was extremely easy to work with. One phone call is all it took to make my order. I was concerned that it would be tricky due to the number of variations of the gate rams and that our gate was over 10 years old. They identified my needs and shipped out the same day. Though it arrived ahead of shipping schedule, it came as pictured in a rather flimsy outer package. I opened it up to find whats pictured. Ive seen burritos wrapped by my drunken uncle packaged better. Purchased via Ebay, not the same RB205B gate motor for the SL2000 gate opener as pictured (I suspect its Non-OEM, as it doesnt have the GTO/Pro sticker on it and has a different finish). Ebay ad said it would come in proper box, as you can see, it wasnt. Wouldve sent it back, but then would have had the refund hassles, and needed to get gate operational ASAP. Hopefully your experience was/will be better. Wont buy from again.

I first called Gate Openers Unlimited because the replacement receiver/logic panel I received from them for my Craftsman garage door opener had a different model number than I had ordered. Arthur answered the phone. Reaching a human was a surprise! He explained they had sent the upgraded but compatible part to me and went on to give me helpful tips on installing it. Weeks later I called Arthur back to ask for another copy of the installation instructions because I had lost them, and I wanted them for my records. These people have poor customer service. They claimed to have shipped my order, which they had not. However, they charged my Paypal account and claimed to have a tracking number. FedEx did not show that the package was picked up. When I emailed them and requested a status update, I received a response that they were checking on the order. I called back the next day and got a BS story and run-around. I cancelled my order after nearly a week of waiting for the item to ship. Arthur (I believe he is the owner) only had excuses to give. Read the other reviews, and you will see that my situation is not an isolated one.
