I drove to A-1 to obtain a quote for a transom repair. I spoke with Idilio and showed him the repair that I needed. He provided me with an excellent quote and I was extremely surprised when I asked him when I could drop off the boat. He told me I could leave it there if I wanted and that it would be ready for the following weekend. Idilio kept me updated and informed throughout the whole process from start to finish. The boat was completed and delivered by the time that it was promised. If you have any type of fiberglass repair I highly recommend A1 you will not be sorry.

My 1988 SEAWOLF OPEN FISHERMAN suffered catastrophic transom failure. The entire outboard bracket caved into the transom leaving a huge gap. I was going to sell her for whatever I could get and take a huge loss, but she is a classic and I’ve had her for 15 years. So I called Idilio Gonzalez, the owner of A-1 Fiberglass repair and he came to my home the same day. He told me that the boat was worth saving and I’m glad I listened to him. He cut out all the rotten wood and inserted a composite material. He then repaired the fiberglass and painted the back of the boat. The boat is better than when it came out of the factory. He told me three weeks and sure enough it was done in three weeks. The workmanship is outstanding and he did it for a very reasonable price. He is an honest businessman that stands behind his work. You don’t see this very often. I highly recommend him to anyone needing fiberglass repair. Thank you Idilio for saving my baby!

A-1 Fiberglass did some work on my Bluewater, both inside and outside of my boat, including wet sand, polish and wax. After a few months I started to notice some of the repair were superficial and were not done thorough. For example, they did not grind/open the damage to repair the gouges. Attached is a photograph of the bad repair that re-appeared. And no I dont throw my anchor, but place it carefully in the holder. Idilio is very friendly, but once he has your money he may be difficult to get him to address the issue, unless your boat is from FWC, Marine Patrol or some city, state or government contract. I was heartbroken to have received this low quality craftmanship.

Took a fiberglass piece to this place with a hole in it and it was repaired almost impeccably. I was worried that it would look bad because the hole was not on a flat surface, but they made it look like there was never any hole there. I am very satisfied with the quality of work and price of A1.

Adilio repaired my Carolina Skiff perfectly. I had a crack in the center of the hull and they repaired it great and you could never even tell. Im going back now to get a front deck modified and installed. They stand behind their work and are reasonably priced. A friend recommended them to me and Im glad he did, and now Im recommending them to anyone who needs any type of fiberglass work on their boat. Top notch!

I dropped my 2017 mako off because i dropped the anchor on the front and chipped a small chunk of the fiberglass. I sent them a picture of the damage, dropped it off the next day at 7am and it was done by 3pm. The quality of the work was incredible. I cant even tell where the original crack was. It looks brand new, I highly recommend them !
