Body Belly Baby its an absolute MUST experience while pregnant - I started going to the Prenatal Pilates class at 18 weeks and it helped me SO much. Valerie creates a beautiful environment but at the same time very professional and knows exactly the exercises that will help a pregnant woman, for the different stages. We also took the couples Lamaze class with Valerie and it was crucial in feeling prepared, getting all of the right information needed - totally worth it. It helped both my husband and I to get educated about the birthing process and coming up with our own birth plan. Love Body Belly Baby! Will be coming back for the baby and me classes.

Body Belly Baby, led by Founder Valerie Massoni, is exactly what my wife and I needed as we look forward to the birth of our first child. Both the Baby 101 and Lamaze Childbirth courses synthesized down all the information on the internet, books and random friend / family advice into a few hours of real, practical advice from a certified, engaging and truly caring expert. We were also very impressed with how easy and interactive the virtual zoom session turned out. Additionally, small classes, with only a few couples, definitely helped create a comfortable setting where we could express ourselves and ask Valerie questions. I took Valerie’s breastfeeding class in June. Virtual classes can be challenging but she managed to make it interactive and fun! Overall, the class was comprehensive and evidence based. As a second time mom, I took this class as a way to boost my confidence after a rough start to breastfeeding with my first baby. I definitely left with renewed excitement to breastfeed and feel armed with all of the right knowledge and resources to be successful.
I have been doing the pilates classes with Valerie via Zoom for a few months already and all I can say is that is GREAT for you pregnancy!!I start taking the classes during my second trimester and since I have been feeling amazing! Taking the classes online is very practical for me. I can do all my exercises from home, and especially I feel very safe during these uncertain times.I really recommend this class for all the moms to be! ☺️
I took the infant CPR course and while it had to be online because of Covid, it was very hands on. We had the chance to practice as we were learning the different techniques and Valerie the instructor corrected each of us. She was very knowledgeable and it was great to learn that with just a few simple techniques you could save someone’s life. Totally recommended!!
We took 3 of Valeries classes online via Zoom and they were wonderful! After the first class we learned so much and knew we wanted to take the other classes that she offered. With this being our first baby we were concerned that we werent going to be able to attend classes in person because of the pandemic, but Body Belly Babys online option was amazing and the material was covered so thoroughly that it was every bit as effective as if we met in person. Valerie is very knowledgable and passionate about what she does and it shows, she cares a lot about her clients. We would highly recommend signing up for the online classes! After our baby is born I definitely plan to sign up for the postnatal classes!
Love this studio! Very happy with my experience taking Prenatal Pilates and, more recently, Prenatal Yoga at Body Belly Baby . Valerie is incredibly knowledgeable on all of the nuances of pregnancy (symptoms, ailments, good habits, safe breathing, etc) and especially in getting your body prepared for the challenge of childbirth. I’ve been attending classes since 15 weeks and took my last class yesterday and 39w5d. So glad I did! And today, I’m in labor and delivery at hospital ready to deliver my little boy. The classes prepared me in a way I didn’t have the discipline to myself... each exercise is planned and calculated for a specific goal. The biggest goal has to do with strengthening your core in a way that is safe for pregnancy. Those core muscles will help us through breathing and labor. In class, we practice timed and ever increasing repetitions of kegels, leg and toe stretches & lifts, variations of squats & lunges, you name it... you will be practicing it in this class catered just for the expectant mom. Valerie is wonderful and I could not recommend this studio any more. I really love the new yoga class as it’s helped me a lot with stretching in the last weeks of pregnancy. My only recommendation would be to add more variation of exercise sequences in the Pilates class. Otherwise 5 stars ! Thank you BBB!
This place is simply amazing!!! Not only you get to stay fit during your pregnancy, but you also get more educated and knowledgeable about prenatal and postnatal experiences, and get to meet other wonderful people going through the same things. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, and Valerie is one of the kindest. She has the educational background, so she knows what she is doing! The center also offers several informative classes, and I really enjoyed the classes I have taken (breastfeeding and baby 101). My whole prenatal experience there was great! The childbirth class at Body Baby Belly was an excellent experience. I went in to the class with a lot of apprehension about the process of birth and approaching what was a great unknown. In the class, I got a step by step break down of how labor would start, continue and progress up to the final stage.We were given opportunities to ask questions and I felt like the class was as beneficial to my husband as it was for me. It assigned him his critical role as number one support person and brought us into a team to approach birth. Im sure all the information he was given he had never heard before. The exercises and massages we practiced in class felt great.The class also helped us prepare for all possible outcomes and allowed us to create a thoughtful plan as to how we would handle any of the routine interventions that may be suggested in a medical setting. Just having the foreknowledge to have considered these outcomes was only possible through the class.Valerie is an excellent and engaging teacher and the time went by quickly and was fun. I strongly recommend the childbirth class.
I took the prenatal classes since week 28. Around once/twice per week. It definitely helped my stamina and made my pregnancy easier. Valerie is very sweet and professional. O saw all the results of my workout during the delivery. I am convinced that the regular classes helped me to make the delivery easier. Highly recommended from the beginning of the pregnancy till the end.

Body Belly Baby is amazing!!! I started my experience with Valerie about half way through my pregnancy. Not only did the prenatal pilates help me fill the exercise void in my life, it was such a pleasant experience to be united with other expectant mothers going through similar journeys; it felt like a family. Body Belly Baby is the best decision to stay fit that Ive made since I found out that I was pregnant. Valerie is amazing! My wife and I signed up for the Infant and Child CPR class after our 10 months old son had a choking incident while we were home with him. We felt so helpless in that moment and never wanted to feel that way again when it came to our precious boy,or any child. The studio is immaculate and located in Coconut Grove by the marina near Montys and has a beautiful view of the ocean. Parking is available on the street or in a paid parking lot on the premises.My Personal Experience: After a rough first trimester, Prenatal Pilates helped me return to exercise and slowly and safely build strength and practice belly breathing. By the end of my pregnancy, I felt significantly stronger and healthier from both a mental and physical standpoint. The classes are tailored to expectant mothers and include barre exercises, breathing, legs (squats, lunges) and dumbbells, gentle stretching and pelvic floor exercises.Valerie is the proprietor and instructor for the classes. She is an excellent resource and is extremely supportive of pregnant mommies. She gave me very helpful stretches for my sciatic pains and in general is very knowledgeable about pregnancy. My husband and I attended the Lamaze birth course last week. OMG!!!!! We are so glad we joined at 30 weeks! We learned everything about labour in a very friendly and intimate almost 1:1 environment. This is not the typical birth class, it includes envisioning your birth, it promotes the collaboration of both mom and dad to be, it is a bonding experience for the couple in designing the ideal birth plan for the baby. I strongly recommend couples to attend this course as it will prepare you with facts to make your own decisions on what is best for your childs birth. Valerie is wonderful! Her dedication, knowledge, attention to detail create a very special environment in an afternoon that will always be remembered. Material handed in class will help you go back and define your plan. Body Belly Baby is a wonderful place for your body and mind. Ive attended prenatal Pilates since I was 9 weeks pregnant. Valerie, the owner and instructor is a very knowledgeable and not only guides you through a safe, yet intense mommy workout but also offers a great advice and many tips to guide you through a healthy pregnancy outside the studio. Now, almost at the end of my pregnancy (37 weeks), I can truly say that it is more than a place to exercise; it is a resourceful community and a place to meet other mommies and make great friends. I cant wait to return for mommy and me Pilates.

Ive gone to Body Baby Belly now for both my pregnancies and it is the reason why my deliveries have been amazing!!! The breathing and exercises we do in Pilates got my body ready for the day & my husband was so impressed with how smooth and quick the 1st birth went he basically signed me up himself when we got pregnant again! I took the prenatal pilates classes during my second pregnancy and could see the difference it made in my body! Unlike the first pregnancy this time I felt lighter, my uncles and feet did not swell as much and I had good energy levels throughout the pregnancy. Valery is definately the best ;)

I have been a huge pilates fan for many years now and I have experienced firsthand all the benefits it brings both physically and mentally. However I could not imagine how positive pilates could be for pregnant women.I started taking prenatal pilates classes in Body Belly Baby when I was 12 week pregnant and I kept going until the end of my pregnancy (in fact, my last class was only two days before the first contractions started!).Prenatal pilates did help me stay healthy, active and fit through my whole pregnancy. Also, I dare say that it had a lot to do with the fact that I had a fast labor and postpartum recovery.This is why I truly recommend doing pilates to all mommies-to-be. For those of you in Miami, Body Belly Baby is the best place. The classes are specifically designed for pregnant women and really prepare you for childbirth and the postpartum period. Mommy and Me Pilates class has been such a wonderful experience at Body Belly Baby! I have to say that taking these classes have helped me both physically and mentally as a new mom. Valerie creates a very fun, gentle and relaxing environment that helps facilitate a healthy mind and healthy body approach. Also a great way to meet and interact with other mommies, babies and new friends! I highly recommend this class and look forward to many more as my 5 month old grows!After taking several Mommy and Me Pilates classes, we also learned about the Baby Massage Class and couldnt wait to just start our session. Having to stop breastfeeding when my daughter turned 3 months was difficult but baby massage class was a great way for us to strengthen our bond through the techniques of positive contact. Not only have we noticed the developmental benefits but it has also empowered us as parents to really become experts on connecting through love and nurturing but also understanding our children during the early stages of nonverbal language.
I discovered Valerie’s prenatal Pilates class when I was already nearly 30 weeks along and I wish I had discovered it sooner! As an active, athletic person before my pregnancy, I just assumed I would be able to keep doing the same types of high-intensity workouts throughout my full pregnancy – very wrong. While I could “keep up” with my pre-pregnancy workout routines, I sometimes paid the price afterwards with sore hips, achy back and weakened pelvic floor. I wasn’t confident my sessions were still benefitting my changing body and growing baby, until I started at Body Belly Baby.Valerie’s classes are tailored to the needs of our changing bodies and are equal parts challenging and restorative. Beyond the physical focus – on breathing, stretching, muscle improvement – there is a much-needed focus on community. It has been an added bonus to connect with other pregnant women during this wild time and support each other with our own questions and experiences. During the second trimester of my pregnancy, I wasnt able to continue my regular workout. I wanted to stay healthy throughout my pregnancy, so my doctor recommended prenatal Pilates. I went to Body Belly Baby and immediately fell in love with the studio, classes and Valerie. She is such a knowledgeable Pilates instructor, who truly cares about her students. She makes sure everyone is safely performing the exercises and explains why certain exercises are important. She is very knowledgeable about the body, the practice of Pilates, and pregnancy. Only after a few weeks at Body Belly Baby had me feeling great about my body knowing that I was preparing in the best way for the birth of my baby. I am nearing my due date now and Im still attending classes a few times a week. I cant recommend BBB enough!
This place has been my pregnancy sanctuary. I could not be happier with Valeries pre natal pilates classes. She is the real deal. I started going here at 4-5 weeks pregnant (no belly in sight of course LOL, but lots of anxiety at the time). Actually, Valerie found out about my pregnancy before my mom did! And Im really glad I met her because ever since she has guided me and given me all kind of support and advice to make this journey even better and easier! My husband and I also took the Childbirth education course and loved it. I am now on week 38 of my pregnancy and already planning to go back for some post natal classes when I have my doctors OK.
I am 29 weeks pregnant now and Ive been taking the prenatal Pilates class since my 1st trimester. I love the class, Valerie is a great Pilates instructor and she really cares about your individual concerns on how to stay healthy during pregnancy. The class has helped me build strength and reduce my discomforts with back pain and cramps.
My husband and I are expecting our first baby in February of 2018. We were recommended BBB from our OB/GYN and I couldn’t be happier with the pre-natal Pilates classes and educational courses we’ve taken over the past 6 months.First, the pre-natal Pilates Class was an excellent way to build strength, practice the importance of breathing, gain energy, and surround yourself with other healthy mamas-to-be. The environment Valerie creates is unique and truly one of a kind. She takes the time to get to know you as an individual and gives every one of her students individualized attention and direction to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. My OB is very pleased with my pregnancy, including weight gain, water retention, energy, etc, and I attribute much of this to my Pilates classes with Valerie!My husband and I also took Baby 101, Childbirth education, and pediatric CPR with Valerie and Breastfeeding with lactation consultant, Fatima. All four courses provided first time parents to be with information that will help us with the transition to parenthood. We both feel more at ease, supported, and more confident with the information provided. Again, the environment was personal and intimate and allowed for a positive exchange of information, hands on practice, and camaraderie with other pregnant couples. I do not have anxiety about childbirth as I feel as prepared as I can be and so ready for this beautiful journey to begin. I can 100% say that my pregnancy would not have been the same without the classes and educational courses at BBB. I am a mother of 2 girls (3,5 and 2 years old) and expecting the 3rd one in a few days... I have to say that the 3rd pregancy is much harder to carry. I started the prenatal pilates at Body Belly Baby on recommandation of my doctor Dr Garcia (Miami Obgyn). I started at 6 months of pregancy and I have to say that I feel much better now (38 weeks) than in the middle of the pregnancy : less back pain, less heaviness, I feel more in shape. And Valerie is so nice and sharing a lot about her experience, it is very ressourceful for a mother to be. I highly recommend the studio also because she offers support on many important topics : breastfeeding, nutrition, sleep habits, labor... Thank you Valerie !
My husband and me took several courses the last months of my pregnancy @ BodyBellyBaby: Baby 101, Sleep training, breastfeeding course and massage course. All of them were excellent! And have been super helpful for us. Valerie is an excellent trainer and she is really into the well being of the moms and the babies. I started to do masages on my baby her 5th week and it helped me a lot with the babies blues that I was facing. The massages helped me to bond with my baby, relax and helped the baby to sleep better and make me feel that I was a better mom ( help me with my blues) ... in addition, Valerie invited me to take the course again with my daughter and I really enjoyed to meet other moms and to listened to her stories.... BodyBellyBaby is more than a center a community! I recommend 100% to new and expectant moms to be part of it!
At Body Belly Baby (BBB) I found a place for practice Prenatal Pilates during all my pregnancy (39 weeks) with a fantastic atmosphere but more than that, I found in BBB a place where you can share experiences and learn with other women and special with Valerie (teacher and owner) whos an unique, incredible and a lovely person. A wonderful place for any pregnant woman! I took prenatal Pilates classes throughout pregnancy and it helped me a lot to maintain my mobility and energy. Exercises help prepare for childbirth and the postpartum period.Now with my baby in my arms, I do the exercises at home to stretch my hands and arms that hurt due to the effort of breastfeeding. Apart from pilates, preparation courses for Fathers and Mothers are also very useful. The studios greatest treasure is Valerie, who welcomes, supports and motivates us!As soon as I have medical clearance Ill be back to Mommy and Me Pilates.

I am expecting my second child and without a doubt this pregnancy was much better than the first (in terms of pain and physical condition), thanks in large part to Pilates classes with Valerie.These classes are great for solving back and posture problems during pregnancy. In addition, issues of breathing and pelvic floor are discussed, essential for good labor.I also did the childbirth (Lamaze) course with Valerie and its spectacular! Despite being my second pregnancy, I learned a lot and my husband did too. After I have started doing Pilates, everything changed in my pregnancy. My energy and well being increased a lot. Due to the exercises my body was strong to carry the extra weight of the baby and I was able to resume to my routine activities. With no other exercise that I practiced during my pregnancy I got this feeling. Pilates helped me physically and emotionally, my body became more beautiful and it also brought me confidence and empowerment for childbirth. My baby loved the classes, he moved all the time.
