Wonderful little bakery that offers wine flights with food pairings. The owner really knows what shes doing. Some of the best small plates especially the chocolate almond croissant! And, the wines are paired perfectly. The brick courtyard out front is lovely and relaxing with low key French music. Delightful experience.
Had lunch at Atelier Monnier yesterday with a friend. Wonderful little French restaurant/bakery with outside seating. Food and service were excellent; all prepared and served by Lola. We had a chicken salad, prosciutto with mozzarella on French bread and shared a fabulous chocolate napoleon. Everything is well priced too. Looking forward to returning.
First time ordering from this place and I barely write reviews but I am feeling frustraded with my food. I ordered a cheese tomate pesto and basil sandwich, but could barely see or taste neither the pasto nor the basil. The french toast was too thick and almost no sugar on the top. The chocolate croissant had a tiny piece of chocolate as you can see in the picture below. Really disapointed :/
First time I went there on Tuesday. The place is very cute. I like it. The lady took my order. She was super nice and friendly. Food was good, but I would say it’s a bit overpriced. I was happy it’s a block away from my hotel. I went there on Wednesday morning again. I was the only one customer at that time. It was another lady over there. She was extremely rude. I didn’t even place an order and I just walked out. I was very disappointed. If my review would based on my first visit I would give it 5-star.
We really enjoyed our breakfast this morning! Lola was incredibly warm and welcoming. She also made the best cappuccino and iced coffee for my husband.I absolutely loved my cappuccino and it reminded me of my travels in Italy and our breakfasts there. My husband would have ordered another iced coffee to go but already had espressos at our hotel. We will be back!I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a quick and tasty breakfast!
We got the chocolate croissant and the ham and cheese croissant 🥐! Both were amazing, the flavor and the texture very comparable to the code shops in Paris ! Staff here is super cool and friendly loveee the out door sitting close to the beach a great place to have a perfectly made cappuccino not to sweet not too bland . Pricing súper accesible.
Croissant was great, but service is not friendly. The woman looked aggressive and acted strangely. We asked her if she could warm up the croissant and she gave us a look and attitude as if she was offended or something. We asked a simple question snd she could simply say she can’t warm it up, that’s it. Why complicate things? That spoilt our mood.To make things even more complicated and awkward she then brought a whole bunch of croissants from oven to show us they’re fresh. We never said they weren’t, we just wanted to warm it up, that’s it.Finally, she took our croissant and left somewhere, we didn’t understand why she did it, we couldn’t understand her English. Then she came back and gave us our croissant back and we left. That was an odd experience. We loved the croissant and would be happy to come back, but dont want to bump into her again 🤨
Great little cafe about 2 blocks from the beach! Super nice staff. Perfect baked goods! Highly recommend you try a croissant! Very affordable! Check this place out!
The little French bakery is quite the pleasant surprise. I stumbled on to it one day and went two days in a row! The proprietor, Patrick, is a delight and knowledgeable about everything he makes. The pastries, bread, quiche and even, gelato/sorbets are all made in house and are especially wonderful. For South Beach, the prices are reasonable and increase the value. They play French music to add to the experience and it doesnt disappoint. My birthday is in a month and Im ordering a custom cake from here because its just that good! Before I forget, if youre a wine connoisseur, they have an exclusive French wine collection that all have a Wine Spectators rating of 90 and above. You have no reason not to give them a try. Really.
Not an authentic French bakery. The owner is really nice but none of the croissants or pastries are close to French ones. We had a plain croissant, a croissant aux amandes et au chocolat, and a croissant jambon-fromage. The butter used to make the croissants is not the authentic beurre d’Isigny nor a European butter (these have a lower water content than American butters which is what gives European pastries their distinctive taste). The fact that the butter was not the correct one made these croissants taste like nothing. Sadly dissapointing…
We went to the place very early in the morning. When we wanted to order smth from the cakes, we’ve been told that only crossants are available now, even though everything else was on the stand. We’ve been trying to charge the phone, but we’ve been informed that we can’t do it for free and we have to purchase a to-go charger.
Great and delish French bakery and food, I had the crepes and also a few Almond, and almond chocolate Croissant. They have variety of wines, they make their own Ice cream, macaroons, sandwiches, and more, Joe was really Nice and helpful, same as the owner who’s the cook, they were at all times making sure we were ok, and checking on us. Everything was fresh, they have a an outdoor sitting area and they play french music. Well located on Collins ave.
Missing this place...such delicious fresh pastries, sandwiches, salads and drinks. Atelier Monnier was my familys go-to breakfast, lunch and snack place during our last few visits to South Beach. The almond croissant is enough to bring me back, but there are so many other options. The entire staff was warm and friendly, making me feel right at home each day. Outdoor seating is off the sidewalk and in the shade in the morning. Looking forward to my next visit!
Stopped for a coffee and immediately regretted it. The lady working was extremely rude. Charged me over $12 for 2 “iced lattes” which was weak, house brewed coffee poured over ice.
South Beach Atelier Monnier!!! ❤❤❤❤ yay! Love love love. I wont say much but just check the pictures I took lol. What not to like about this place!? Sitting outside under these majestic palm trees was the highlight as well, that breeze is unbelievable 🎶🎶 and the French mystic takes you on an unbelievable journey. Prices very reasonable. Quality? Simply the best. The Macarons, sorbet and ice cream, croissants and baguettes out of this world
Good macaroon, but the owner/lady who works up front was a little rude. While my husband and I were trying to figure out what to eat (not even 2 mins), she told us she didnt have time for it. She had time talking to her other customers while we were waiting. Then she got busy, she was rude. So we got our macaroon and left. Didnt care for the food nor drink. Id rather go somewhere else thats nicer and better customer service.
Their cakes are delicious. I placed an order online, they packed the cake very carefully and had the order ready when arrived. Will absolutely go back 💛
This place is the best! Not only is the food amazing, but the people who work there are very kind and caring. I left my credit card there accidentally and thought I had lost it. When I went back, they had it tucked away and had even tried to call me in order to return it. Highly recommended and thankful there are still some good people in the world. 5 stars.
Lola greeted us with a great smile and jokes. She was super cheerful and helped us out in every way possible. The food was also exceptional and was served quickly with great service. Absolutely amazing!!!!!
Literally the rudest service Ive ever had, food was good though, server screamed at us to put masks on when the sign said it was optional and we didnt have any, then just seemed generally annoyed we were there.
The opera was amazing! Will definitely try other cake and pastry!
Very quaint bakery in the middle of south beach. Heard about the almond croissant and it did not disappoint. My daughter and I loved it. Very sweet almond paste and more on the softer side than flaky. But very enjoyable. Also they play romantic french music while you enjoy your food.
Amazing place, extraordinary food and best of all is Lola’s service! She absolutely did everything to serve us with excellence.
We had the French toast which was the best French toast I’ve ever had. Thick, fluffy, and amazing.
Bonjour! I reside on the beach and it was my first time visiting Atelier Monnier. By far, this French Restaurant is amazing! Their crossaints, latte, french baguette, and chocolate mousse were delicious. Also, Lola is the most sweetest, helpful, and friendliest person I have yet to meet on South BeachThank you Lola for making my first visit pleasant.See you soon.
Oh so good! Ham and cheese croissant is to die for. Coffee is the best! Thank you Lola!
Wow this place is just amazing.... Had a fantastic omelette with mushrooms and melted mozzarella cheese with onions and ham. It was just to die for! Had a cappuccino and an macchiato made by the handsome young man. Which was the best coffee I think I’ve had. Finished off this meal with two macaroons which I would get again in a split second! My baby mama had a quiche Lorraine which was extremely tasteful as well. To top it all of we had a almond croissant which just was exploding with multiple flavors all at once. It was the perfect cherry on top after this great/tasty meal. The service was great, although there were multiple people that came in with us. Even though they were getting slammed the employees still were very attentive and overly helpful/nice. I would recommend this place to anyone with a hungry mouth.
Tasty fresh coffee & croissants with a nice little outdoor seating area. Visited multiple times during my stay in South beach.
The Saint Honore dessert was absolutely delicious! The caramel macaroon was probably the best I’ve ever had in my life! The croissant was very good also.
Great little place please get the sweet lady in the morning some help (not all customers are honest)great pastry and coffee need more help!!!!!!!!
Food is good, not too many choices like they advertise.
Hand sanitizer station in store.Answered all questions about products but too pushy to sell.Cakes are 5*Macarons weren’t fresh. Chocolates aren’t true to flavor. I’d go back for cakes!
Delish! We came in for a snack and were not disappointed!! The quiche lorraine was fresh from the oven 😋
Don’t miss this hidden gem! The deserts and coffee are AMAZING. I hardly leave reviews but we came here twice just for the white Ivy and chocolate layer desert. OMGGGG The gentleman at the counter is also very nice!Don’t miss it! Easy walk from the Beach!
Went today for a food and wine pairing. Its was great, I learned a lot! Their almond croissant pastery was VERY good. This place is a must visit; left with some great wine and food.
The almond croissant is insane! The best we ever had, here or in Europe. Worth the trip. Add a coffee and relax at the patio.
Love the drinks and the waitress was very nice
Sooo yummy and Lola is the best!!!!
Stopped here because of the 4.7 rating. Stood in line and then were told to sit outside theyd come help us, as well as the two people behind us. We all went and sat outside, a young man came out and took the other peoples order first. Annoying, but fine. He came right over to take our order and a woman came out and snapped at him that she said shed get our table. He shrugged and walked inside, I didnt blame him.She did not take our order but proceeded back inside to help other people at the counter. We continued to sit and wait until I turned around in my seat and stared inside for several minutes and caught her eye. She came out and finally took our order. We ordered both a croqur monsieur and a madame. After a few minutes they came out, the bechamel on top was really chunky which was my first hint this wasnt fresh or high quality. I stuck my finger in the center and sure enough the sandwich was practically frozen solid, so was my partners, the only thing fresh about it was the fried egg on top of his. I took it inside to return it so we could leave, the woman told us just to wait, it would only take three minutes to heat up...seriously? There is literally a sign above the kitchen door that reads, Salads and Sandwiches Made to Order. Not so much. The pastries in the windows maybe be beautiful, but perhaps they are frozen with bad service too. No thanks, plenty of actual fresh places to eat in town.
Yum! This place is the real deal. Tastes like Paris! Service was phenomenal as well!
Joe was amazing! He has an immense knowledge about wine! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here while in Miami!
Extremely expensive this place and I dont get what I pay for !!!! I do not recommend them
I purchased Chouquettes, a regular croissant, and an almond croissant. The chouqettes were dry and overbaked but they did have a decent flavor. The regular croissant was not flaky and did not crackle when I ate it (The flaky effect is vital for me when eating a croissant) The crossaint was buttery and soft instead, but it was okay. The almond crossaint was much better but a bit too sweet for my tasting. The bakery also appeared differently than the pictures but overall this bakery was just okay. I defiantly was not impressed with the taste of my pastries.
Had a great time and Joe was well informed on the different selections of wines. Great host, great time, must try. 😊
Excellent service and tasty food. Highly recommend the smoothies!
The food is very good I would recommend but limited seating
Although the staff was very nice, the quality does not match the Brickell shop. I am very disappointed. Bought a 30usd cake at 1pm. It clearly was not from the same day and had a fridge smell. Not what you would expect for that price and the “French” savior fair.
I had a great crêpe and great conversation with one of the men who works there. He could be a great artist!
Wonderful customer service, and their pastries are to die for! Soft and flaky croissants, and the guava cream cheese pastry... Wow.
Best place to have breakfast in South Beach, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is just right. I couldnt start my day better
Freshly made and very friendly staff. Great spot to star the day with a coffee and cruisant.
I only had the ice cream, but it was delicious😋 and thenservice was fantastic
Delicious food and great service!! The almond croissant was to die for and they had delicious sandwiches too!
The Almond Croissants ARE TO DIE FOR! And the Sandwiches are AWESOME! Best prices on South Beach
Just Super! Best croissants in town, french bread also amazing! Go to this place, highly recommended!
Best Breakfast in Miami Beach. Fresh french Baguettes, Croissants, fresh fruits. Delicious
Great coffee and even better food, what else can I say? Try the macaroons, you wont be disappointed
Informal and good bread & pastry. Have yet to try more. Will return.
This South Beach Cafe is such a gem! Its always hard to find authentic French bakeries/eateries in Miami which is why I immediately fell in love with this place. My boyfriend and I went for lunch during my search for crepes throughout Miami. I ordered the Savory Crepe $8.95 which is filled with avocado chantilly, prosciutto and mozzarella. Hands down my favorite crepe in Miami after eating over six at various locations. They super fill their crepes and the crepe in itself was delicious---for this price, its a steal! My only complaint is that they only serve one type of savory crepe and I bet if they added others they would be just as delicious! My boyfriend ordered the Croque Monsier $7.95: virginia ham, swiss cheese, moray bechamel on ciabatta. This was PHENOMENAL. One of my favorites Ive ever had especially since the bechamel was perfect. Outstanding quality; it was also served with a fresh salad which balanced the heaviness of the croque monsier. I would highly recommend ordering this if its your first time here! We also shared the Roast Turkey and melted Brie Tartine $9.95 which was dressed with walnuts, mustard butter, a honey dressing. This was also amazing! Served with a fresh salad as well, they did not skimp out on the quality brie which paired well with the walnuts---tasted unique! On our way out we took home a baguette for later that proved to be a delicious base for sandwiches later. All in all will definitely return as it truly is a hidden gem of the beach!
This place has THE BEST almond croissants on South Beach! So good!
Delicious! Delicious! Très authentique!! I lived in Paris for 25 years and have never found a baguette like they have here. I’m in South Beach a week and plan to come everyday. The gâteaux and macarons are lovely andcthere is a wide variety of viennoiseries (breakfast pastries). The setting is calm and refined but the welcome is warm and service excellent.
Best almond croissants I ever tried!
Cute place, delicious baked goods!
Its a wonderful cafe...must visit when in Miami
Delicious! Great deserts and outstanding breakfast! Ty!
The most amazing French bakery.
Great pastries and wine!
Delicious chocolates, coffee and croissants!
Very friendly and great food!
Nice cappuccino and french croissants
Great coffee and breakfast
Good service, good bakery
Good tuna sandwich
Love this place !
This is one of those places that are not abundant in South Beach as it offers excellent quality products at a reasonable price and served by people with a smile. In itself highly recommended place
Excellent place, we went with my mother and an Argentine girl who works there, she attended us wonderfully, very friendly and recommended some very professional wines, she told us that she was a sommelier, we were very happy ... I recommend it.
Delicious coffee and products complemented with excellent service. The Spanish woman who has attended us, the most, period. I will return whenever I get a chance.
Lola is the best! Lola forever. But the other chick who works in the evenings, ufff, I pass her. What an edge person. Luckily you have Lola and not just that other character.Anyway, the coffee and the viennoiserie in the morning are top. On the other hand, the macarons like that not much. They need a bit of freshness and a change of recipe because the truth is that they are not cool at all. But I repeat, the delicious viennoiserie and while Lola is there, I go through a pain aux raisins with pleasure. In English:Lola forever. Period. The afternoon woman - over her. The worst.Great breakfast pastries and coffee.Macarons, not so much. But just come in the morning and grab a pastry and coffee from Lola and start the day with a smile.
Do not go to this place. The lady is shouting at customers and a very bad deal. We arrived at the local and the lady says sit wherever. There was only one table of 4 but dirty. sat us not wait up and after waiting 15 minutes I get the lady to ask what we wanted and I replied saying that first you clean the table and she had almost seen for the first time he said he thought it was our dirty dishes and then to make him remember that just arrived says screaming because we sat at this table. We got up and we go local. Do not go to this place. Not worth the wait and then see the bad treatment.
I can only recommend it. Small café with homemade baked goods, really good coffee and very friendly owners. The best breakfast on South Beach
Best breakfast in Miami beach. Incredible service and delicious food!
Decent welcome, croissants and good coffee as in France, price a little high, deco damage to review, not really the French touch
If you are in Miami Beach, do not hesitate to stop by this place! Great coffees, delicious things to eat and the best attention from Viví who is a genius! Without a doubt my favorite cafe in Miami!
Great breakfast and very nice people! Thank you, keep it up !!! !!!Top !!!
Super cafeteria with many delicious things to try and chocolates a dream
