I have been to many tackle shops between Texas and this side of Florida, fishing all along the gulf and east coast the past 5 months. This is BY FAR my favorite, best assorted, clean store I have visited in my journey. I left educated, delighted, and impressed. Good prices, excellent management, I mean they just hit every mark. If I lived here, I might even apply for a job here. :)

Im an absolute novice when it comes to fishing. The gentleman at the register was very helpful when it came to explaining different weights of line, and how to properly put weight, hook, and line on the rod. Went out immediately after and caught my first catfish within minutes of being on the dock! Great experience and great people. Will be back if I ever need any supplies!

We visited this store to purchase a set up to start shoreline fishing and didnt know what to get. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and had us set up within 30 minutes. We did some fishing and found our new hobby, as well as the store to go to for our fishing needs.

Heard great things about this store until the owner Adrian, basically battered me online on Facebook about where I buy some of my gear (eBay). He started going on about how I dont support local business and that eBay is the number one platform for stolen goods and that my box of hooks are basically stolen from WalMart shelves and resold online to me. Not cool, wont be coming by anytime. I actually work at a tackle shop, so to see this kind of stuff going on to get business made me post this. Sad to have posted this, I wouldve loved to say great things.Edit: Adrian, the owner has deleted all of his delusional back and forth comments, stated that he has flagged my google review for removal, and has messaged me twice on Facebook about how my review is illegitimate because Ive never been to his store, despite him berating me on Facebook for my own opinion and spending habits. Guy is acting like a child on the internet and hes like twice my age!

Was on a fishing trip a long way from home and the reel I had brought had broken. I swung into the tackleshop and was greeted by a friendly staff. The manager Grayson was super helpful and informative. He helped me pick up a new reel that would suit my needs but not break the bank.

This place is great. The guys that work are professional and friendly. I buy all of my gear here and they have given me advice on techniques I’ve never used before and have always caught fish when I followed their instructions.

Dropped a rod off to be repaired on 4/23 said it would take 3 weeks. 6 weeks later they call after my Keys vacation was already over to say the rod was fixed. I purchased a reel and a rod when I dropped off the one to be repaired. They charged $119 when the rod was clearly priced at $99. I guess my major complaint was the big bald guy behind the counter today 6/14 10:30 am. They guy did not seem to care that my repair took double the time they quoted me and charged me $20 more for a rod than it was labeled. The owner was great when I made the purchases but the guy today has no customer service skills and should have at least waived the $10 repair fee. Great store and merchandise but never again.

Needed a guide on my rod replaced and they did it quickly with great service. Will definitely return.

Very unfortunate that I need to update this review. My Star rod came apart at the base. I went to see them about the failure. The responce was it would take about a month to take care of it. The repair process was explained to me and it was now My problem to deal with if I did not want to wait a month. My son and I have purchased 4 rods and a reel plus tackle over several months. Not just a one time customer. Just disapointed in this response for a simple issue. I just did not want to mess with the glue and was hoping for their quick help to make a quick repair. Did not happen. Service is a choice you make that determines if a customer will continue to return. Not sure that I will. What a shame.Earlier Review. We are new to Florida fishing and they were very happy to give us information on what to use and also provided recommendations for fishing guides working in the area. All of the information was accurate and very good.

First time in the store was yesterday, as I have just relocated back to the area. I was helped by an extremely friendly and knowledgeable man, and heard other employees helping customers. I heard the owner helping a gentleman out with a custom rod. All the employees, as well as the owner, seemed very knowledgeable and friendly.A good deal of their equipment is a little above my price point, but if I were to go on a once in a lifetime fishing trip or if I fished for a living, this is where I would come to get equipped. Hands down the best customer experience I have had yet since moving back down.

I went to pickup a rod and reel for beach fishing with my better half. Ive never surf cast before (ha, native FL too). The folks running the shop were super helpful, not condescending in the least. I got a nice education and several options. I will continue to shop there and recommend the shop to both experienced and novice fisherfolks.

I am a rather new fisherman and just moved to Florida. I wanted a decent all purpose rod, reel and some lures. Grayson was extremely helpful and patient with me. He set me up and gave me pointers on just about everything, even knot tying. I will definitely come back.

The experience at the store is great the people who work there are great, they are extremely helpful, they really know what they are talking about and can actually help you if you have a problem with anything or just need advise in general. Also a great store to look in just for fun, theres really cool stuff in the store also have great prices. The staff in the store try really hard to make sure you can get everything you can out of your time while you are there. Adrian also make very well built custom rods. Josh is very good at fixing reels they can help fix most of your rods and reels.

Handler Staff treated me totally professional. I broke a Star Plasma rod while fishing and had very low expectations of getting it replaced. Asher took the rod and told me it might take some time but will be replaced. Called 8 days later with brand new rod. Best local tackle shop around! If you have any questions about fishing and/or what tackle or equipment to use all of the staff members are very knowledgeable to our local waters. I stop in about once a week to buy fishing supplies from this place and the environment is always on point! I’ve had them spool almost every reel I own and I’ve bought several rod/reel combos from them and I’ve never had any issues!

Support a locally owned small business. Service is always friendly and prices are very competitive. Havent put line on one of my own reels in years ever since finding these guys. Good selection of relevant gear for our area. Also, if you are looking to have a custom rod built, this is the place to go!

The place is quite small but it carries most anything you could want.

This shop is Phenomenal I couldn’t say anything bad about them I called And the man I spoke to on the phone gave me is much information as I asked for an overall great customer service they are amazing and I will not go to any other shop around! Very helpful in finding the right rod/reel combo for my needs. While there they were able to help with warranting a Star rod and respooling my line on my reel.

I cant say enough of how friendly and helpful the guys are. Selection is the best in the area, and usually have a really good spread of bait. Plus way better prices than the port for sure.

This tackle store is really great. Everyone working is always super helpful. One of the very few places around where the staff has a fundamental understanding of what the customers needs are, not what will make the most money. Also has a substantially larger amount of inventory than anyone else in town. Great rod repairs too.

They seem to have a pretty good selection of all you would need for all types of fishing. If walmart sells what you are looking for it will be cheaper at walmart. Walmart did not sell a reel I was looking for. So I went here and asked how much it was. I was told same price as on the internet pretty wierd response for a guy trying to sell something locally. He obviously doesnt own the place. Spent the next 10 minutes trying to get the price out of him while he showed me other reels i was not interested in. Then as he is eavesdropping on another associate talking to a customer he leaves me to tend to that gentleman while his coworker is already doing it. So I have to run and pick up my kid from school...we head back there to get the reel and I didnt get the time of day again so, that $900 reel stayed in the store. Good luck boys.After a reply from the owner on this I have upped the rating to 4 stars. The owner showed alot of class in his response and I can definitely respect that.

Just started back in to fishing. I dont know a lot. I went down there and they were very helpfull in giving tips and tying knots and leaders. They set me up with a Penn combo that i could not be happier with. Will be heading back this weekend to get another slightly larger Penn combo. Again, cant say how nice and helpful they were. Made a newbie feel welcome.

You cant beat the selection at Handler. They carry hundreds of rods and reels, along with a service repair for rods and reels. Handler has a huge supply of tackle, anything you could possibly want for inshore, and offshore supplies. Handler has a huge selection of Costa sunglasses and also a GoPro display. Handler Fishing supply has a large clothing selection along with wall mount decorations. The place is a one stop shop and repair. The service is friendly and information is reliable. Very nice staff and knowledgeable

Handler has good selection, but are pricey. The store seems a bit cramped and haphazardly laid out. Also, the few times I have been in here the staff is a bit dismissive and generally in a sour mood. The last time I visited the guy behind the counter, maybe even the owner I dunno, was berating an employee going on about how two thirds of what said employee knew about bottom fishing he (counter guy/possible owner) taught him and he wouldnt catch $h!t ever if it werent for him. I mean, how can you even qualify or quantify such a statement for starters, beyond that it was unprofessional and off putting as patron to have to hear something like that in open forum. I havent been back since. 2 stars for selection and location.

They had a largest selection of Costa Del Mars of stores that i have been to in the area. Staff was very very helpful in finding me the right pair that fits me. I have been shopping around for a pair for awhile now and didnt commit in buying because other shops didnt have a lot of models in their inventory. After trying a lot of model on, the staff helped me pinpoint the right model that was the most comfortable and stylish.

Was getting on a cruise in Port Canaveral and needed to replace my Costas. Called several places and visited more than 1 between Orlando and Port Canaveral and only 1 had a selection like this and had what I was looking for in their case. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff also!

As a young angler when Im looking to buy something but Im not exactly sure what to get the handlers employees make sure Im not going to buy something I dont know how to use such as 3 days ago I was going to buy a jar of pen reel grease and before selling me the item the employe asked me what I was going to use it on and making sure I knew how to use. I am thankful he told me how to use and what to do to my reel before I use it.Thank you

BUYER BEWARE*** so today i went into handlers fishing supplies (which i go to quite often) to pick up a star rod bought from this store that i had warrantied . I called ahead to make sure it was there. Adrian the owner answered and told me it was and when I arrived he starts yelling at me out of no where. There were customers in the store the whole time. His (brother) grayson chiming in also attacking me . Just to find out they never sent my star rod back because i wrote a bad review about a bad experience i had with them 10 months ago. I was told they told me to never come back to the store (which i was never told) but i have been back 5 times and now there is a problem and i do not have a rod to fish with. Very unprofessional, very unhappy with customer services today
