We hit a huge rock on 65 right before the exit and limped it in. Jim (the manager) and his team saved our entire anniversary vacation trip. They got us in right in, checked all 4 tires and got the damaged one off. The rim was bent and we had no donut, but Jim knew we were in a hurry to get to Chicago, so he sent one of his team personally to another store that fixes this kind of damage. The wheel was beyond repair, so Jim negotiated to get us another rim that would work for our car to get us through the weekend. Then he had his team member bring that back, check it, and then refit it (and all our new tires) to the car.The effort Jim and his team went to was spectacular. There were plenty of times when a lesser person would have said nothing I can do. I watched him expertly navigate this repair with thoughtfulness and expertise, all while also helping other customers and getting corporate tech support to fix their printer. Simply the finest repair experience of my life and an actual pleasure to get to watch someone truly great at their profession solving problems.

They fixed my flat within a reasonable time and did not charge more than their quoted price over the phone. The forst phone call to another tire place quoted a reasonable price but changed the price when I got there after a long wait to be seen .

Great service and considering it was Saturday, pretty quick turnaround.

I wish there was a zero rating. Went in for a suspected rim leak, tire needed aired about once a month. Told the counter guy, he showed me a sidewall leak in their dunk tank leaking much faster than would have been a once a month refill. Since sidewalls cant be repaired I had to buy a new tire. Ive been refilling that same one tire once a month ever since. Dont do business with these slime bags.

My son in law referred me to tire barn. He works for valpo motors and he felt that was the place for me to go. My fiance and I were on a road trip and when my son in law looked at my Jeep he saw an issue with the front of my Jeep. He thought it needed an alignment. When tirebarn inspected it they found I had a bad front tire (l/r radial pull) the associate rotated the bad tire from the front to the back and now it drives straight. The manager Jim Solik didnt charge me for the service, how nice that was and then the associate that handled my service spoke to us in the parking lot to reassure me that we would be fine but to take care of it with the dealership when we returned home. What a great reassurance, I would recommend this shop to everyone. Thank you for giving me peace of mind.

This is the second time this has happened to me at this shop my tire sensor just magically brakes after I replace all 4 tires they need to own up too their mistakes I went to discount tire and fix there mistake for half the price they quoted me

Go there with a order of four of their cheapest tires, they say they dont have them then talk in circles and you end up paying close to 600 for the new tires. The merrillville tire barn team at store 1104 were fantastic. They helped get me set up with 4 new tires and an alignment at a price I could afford. They were kind and very helpful and I love the warranty they offer with their tires, even if you get a nail in your tire, they will patch it for free within the warranty time frame. I got my new tires the night before we got about 6 inches of snow and I felt so comfortable driving to work even with the poor road conditions. Thank you for all the help team Merrillville!

Yesterday I came to get a tire replaced because I had a nail in my tire. Let me tell you Phil is awesome . He has great customer service and he is there to simply help people. I checked tire prices at four establishments and the Tire Barn had them all beat by $60 for four tires installed. And the service is exceptionally fast -- 45 minutes to install four tires.

Price seems fair, however Phil completely lied about a time frame I can get the work done in. He advised me I could be in and out inless than an hour. I said thats great Ill be there in 20 minutes, however I got there 15 minutes later to be told it would be 2 and a half hours before they could get started... I mean I get it that a customer or 2 could have gotten in before me but 2.5 hours! You have to be kidding me! Ill find a different place for tires!

Suffered a tire blowout on the highway 45 minutes outside of my home state. Was recommended to Tire Barn by both my AAA help as well as the INDOT driver who showed up to help me out. Tire Barn got me set up immediately with a new tire installed in less than half an hour at a decent price. Bonus- super friendly staff.

Tried to sell me 2 tires at almost a hundred over what NTB had just quoted. Then had the gall to say hi get their offer and well beat it. Smdh

I brought four new tires in Aug, and i had a message on my dash board, reading my air pressure is low, it went down to 28 psi, i went over to tire barn and was told their computer was down come back tomorrow . i could not wait, i went to another tire shop and was told i had a stem leak also the tires was put on the wrong side, and the sensor was reading on the right side when the problem was on left. The tire shop took care of my problem free of charge. And the tire shop was Bella tire .

The service was done in the timeframe they said but I would suggest MAKING AN APPOINTMENT like I did. It makes things much easier

Had to wait a few minutes to check in but tire rotation and balance was quick. All in all about 20 minutes. Included with tire purchase. Tires still look good after 8000 miles.

Needed punctured tire fixed. While other shops around offered free repair, their wait times were close to 2hrs of sitting and waiting even with appointment (Discount Tire!). These guys here took me right in and I was done in 30min with no sales pitch to replace all tires. Paid $26 but when you value your time, sometimes free is not the best deal afterall.

Jim,the manager provided excellent service and informed me of the front end alignment process. These guys werent pressuring nor sold me anything I didnt need. Garbage. Went here to purchase tires and sensors. Was told they didnt have sensors in stock for my vehicle and were unable to order them. Was also told my tires would not been in for roughly a week. Then was told they would not put them on my car. Due to me not purchasing the after market rims from them. I held off. Went to Highland tire barn. Everything I needed done. Is getting done. Im getting the tires today the sensors today. They are also even putting the rims on my car. And the best part is its almost $ 200 cheaper and yet theyre the same store? I will never go back here they are complete rip offs. Beware of the a$$hole with glasses. You need tires go to tire barn Highland.

We needed tires mounted to rims. Called this location and asked if they could do it. They said no and hung up on us. Went to this location to, once again, try and get these tires mounted. They were rude in person too. So much so that we took our tires and rims and went next door. If they couldn’t be mounted for any reason, just explain it to me, don’t be rude. Telling me no & hanging up/walking away is extremely unprofessional. Next door, they explained the issue they had with the tires I had, why they couldn’t mount them, & sold me 4 appropriate tires that they mounted for me. I left the second location happy. Tire Barn has permanently lost our business.

I like Tire Barn but today I was not happy. Arrived at 9:30 when they opened to have a screw removed from my tire. Only 2 techs on the floor and 1 poor guy answering the phone, checking in customers and trying to help the techs. Waited 2 hours for a 15 minute repair. Messed up plans for the day and put a damper on my mood. If I had been told in advance it would be 2 hours I would have just left and came back another time. I wasnt charged for the repair so that was a plus but would have paid if it meant Id get back almost 2 hours of my day. This really is a good place but unfortunately today was not a good experience.

Working in the auto industry I know the value of a good review. Tire barn gives great customer service on a regular basis. My husband wont go anywhere else if he can help it. Our kids use them as well. Always a fair price with a quick turnaround time and couldnt be happier.

Good associates. They answered my questions after the job was finished. They gave me confidence in the work they completed. However, they would not ride with me after the job, to see if there were any issues left. If they would have, we would have given them a 5 star rating!

Phil today was awesome. Being a girl I was taken advantage of the other day at another tire shop charged me x3 for something that was simple. My tire light came back on I came here and Phil helped me so much he got my tires with the right air and made sure they all were safe! He’s a great employee and deserves the best!

I went in to get a tire fixed. It was slowly loosing air and had not found time to get it done. Finally I called and went to Tire Barn. They found my name in their computer and told me it was no problem. In quick time the gentleman had my keys ready for me to go, told me theyd found a nail in my tire, AND washed my car! Told them I was appreciative of their help shook the guys and and left onward to the days next task. But getting this one done was pleasant, at least as getting a tire fixed can be.

Just bought a set of tires from Tire Barn for my 2015 Ford Explorer. The customer service was great as always. I did a little shopping around and without even knowing the competitors prices I attained, they still came in lower. They provide professional and efficient service. Will return in the future.

I have purchased at least 3 sets of tires from this Tire Barn location for my Jeep and at least two sets for my wife Nissan. I have always been completely satisfied with the service and help I have received from the people at this store. Today I purchased four new tires and had a front end alignment. They were finished in a little over an hour, which was at least 45 minutes ahead of time. The gentleman that helped me was excellent as usual. I highly recommend Tire Barn in Merrillville to anyone needing tires.

I cannot remember the name of the gentleman who helped me today (front desk, with glasses) but my experience here was fantastic. I was in and out in less than a half hour. I was given all of the info that I needed for the warranty I purchased for my new tire to replace my damaged one, and sent on my happy way without hassle. I will be returning here.

They do have good deals sometimes. But the bad part is that if you buy the tire warranty. You better save your receipt. They dont not store your warranty info. So if you lose your receipt they will not cover the warranty you paid for.

Had a slow laker and was repaired in 15 minutes. The agent at the front desk said there was build up around the tire bead and would not seat properly (I saw that they had taken tire off of rim and was grinding build up off of rim). Great job and was not charged anything which will make me a return customer for any tire needs. TY tire barn.

Quick in quick out and satisfied with the product!

I came in to get a tire inspection on my right rear tire. The manager and technician were very professional and performed the inspection on all 4 tires including measuring the pressure for nitrogen. They were very informational in advising proactive steps that I could take to ensure that my tire sensor would leave off dashboard. The service was quick and very efficient. I would definitely recommend this location for service needs on your vehicle.

Worst customer service I have ever seen. The man claiming to be management was arrogant and clearly trying to turn away customers.

They cross threaded my tire hub after a simple tire rotation and tried to blame it on some other unknown shop. Phil was very combative in not excepting their mechanic’s negligence. Jake did resolve the issue. But they tried to make me feel that it wasn’t negligence on their part.

Today I purchased tires from Jim in Tire Barn. They didn’t have my tire in stock so I went with a more expensive tire. This is the 3rd time they have broken my wheel lug off my car. Each time they blame it on someone else, but it breaks off in their garage. I expressed that to him, and that they should reimburse because it only happens with them. He became very angry, blamed me, and then slammed his hands on the counter. I was afraid, disrespected, and appalled by the customer service. I am a woman and he was acting so aggressively. I have spent a lot of money with company. I will never return again and I encourage others to do the same. If I were a man I wouldn’t have been treated this way. I will take my hard earned somewhere else. After he disrespected me and me feel like trash he turned around and told me to have a wonderful day.

They fixed my tire when some other place messed it up. Fixed for free. It was an easy fix. I go here every 3 months for tire rotation and fill with nitrous. This service is free with the purchase of full set of tires. Ive had the tires for 2yrs and barely any sign of wear. Great service, always friendly, and quick service

I am almost 7 months pregnant and noticed my cars tire pressure light is on. I actually live in the southwest burbs of Chicago but Im often in the area to visit my twin sister. I decided to stop by tire barn to see if they could help. Without hesitation, Andre told me to pull up and they would add some air to it. He made sure everything was fine and I was on my way. You can tell that all the guys here work well together and seemed happy. I will definitely make the trip when I need new tires. There are people like Andre that can definitely make someones day. He could of asked me to take a seat and wait but he made sure that I was taken care of ASAP. Cant thank him enough. Awesome job! Highly recommend.

They got my tires changed late in the day on Sunday . I phoned ahead to make sure I knew the cutoff time. I got there before the time I was told and the got my tires done. Great Service. I am very pleased.

Stood and waited in line for 20 minutes (with one person ahead of me only asking for a quote for tires, she just needed the guy to print the quote they werent actually talking), finally had my chance to the guy and asked to have my tires rotated. We spoke for maybe 3 minutes and I gave him my keys. I come back 45 minutes later and my car hasnt been touched! I go back to the desk and the guy is too focused typing on the computer to speak to me. After a while of waiting he finally speaks to me, I ask about my car and he says Im next in line, its going to be 30 minutes. FOR A TIRE ROTATION?! Youre joking, I was on my lunch break and didnt have any time left. So I grabbed my keys and left. I does not take 30 minutes for a tire rotation. Thankful I didnt pay in advance, NEVER going back or giving my business to Tire Barn in the future.
