This is one of the best craft stores in the area. Before my mother died, I would visit modestly often, as I would get her faux flowers as they have one of the best selections around. I love visiting this particular Michaels, but find this store to be the best during the holiday season. Not only do they have a wonderful selection of Christmas decorations (the World Ornaments are my favorite) and decor, the DIY options are amazing. I love the yearly ornaments, the Michael exclusives. Just recently I purchased oil-based paint pens here. The customer service is great. Although some of the ladies aren’t familiar with some of the products, I do think their prompt, poised, and polite personalities make up for it. Great place and I will definitely return.

You love arts and crafts this is the place to go. So many mediums that the hard part is deciding what do you want to do.

We brought 2 items to be framed. One painting I did for my honey and an award and newspaper article on the win at a car show my honey won. Katie assisted us and her taste and knowledge base was amazing as she guided us through the custom framing process. Wonderful, will follow up with pictures when they are done. You rock Katie!!

I have my first gallery show coming up and i needed frames for my watercolors... With the sales and bonus points, Michaels has given me what i need at great prices.

Had pictures matted and framed. I had used them 20 years ago for the same thing and the excellent quality is still the same. I am glad I went back to them. Friendly staff too.

Great store, just the place you need to shop when youre feeling crafty. Prices are so reasonable and selection is more than you can imagine.

The store employees in the framing department at the Michaels located at 2310 N Eagle Rd, Meridian, ID are awesome. They are always so helpful and pleasant. I have purchased both custom frames and ready made frames from the department. They have always helped me get frames off of high shelves when needed and they have taken the time to give me additional measurements not listed on the packaging of the ready made frames. Their advice and professionalism with the custom frames has been invaluable. When a frame arrived that the employee in the dept. thought was less than perfect, he contacted me to inform me that my order would take a little longer because he sent the frame back and requested a new one for me. I appreciated that he was observant and took the trouble to make sure everything was right for my order. I recommend their services.

Awful curbside pickup. Sat outside for 30 minutes and the store wasn’t busy or anything. I had to call twice on top of signing in on the app. Very disappointed.

If youre looking for a great price point and good selection of frames, go to Michaels at the Village. The staff are always really helpful and patient whenever Ive come in to create a custom frame and mat. They dont have a huge selection but what they do have always comes together for me in a stunning completed masterpiece. I went with a suede gray mat and a black leather frame with metal beading this time and it really made the painting pop. We love it!

So I don’t go often but I’d have to say that I usually find what I need. The employees are helpful and even though I’m kind of a dinosaur I have learned to always Google Michaels coupons on my phone. Today I got 20% off everything I bought.

They have a truly dizzying selection of craft/DIY goods at this store, but the staffing could be better. Maybe this is because of when I went (about 6pm), but I only saw one person working there--a cashier up front--and the poor lady was absolutely swamped with other customers. I looked around for a while trying to find the item I wanted, or a staff member who could help me, and ended up leaving after 10 or 15 minutes without having found either.

I always have a great experience here. The staff are super helpful and kind.

Are they trying to kill in store sales and drive all their customers to online ordering? Many stores are trying to find ways to get people to come in and hopefully find some impulse items while you are picking up your order. Not here... Online only pricing and poor customer service combine into two poor experiences for me... The first was: after waiting in their absurd checkout line and being rudely told they dont honor their online prices and they would not price match, I went on my phone and ordered it for curbside pickup for half the price. And the second time I found something on their website, went to the store and found it more expensive? I went online and ordered it, but this time from Amazon. When these employees start getting laid off, do you think they will figure out that customer service was their job?

I love this store. I do craft and watercolors constantly. But I hate when the seasons are changing because the associates are so busy with the holiday things that they ignore the rest of the store. So it ends up kind of a mess.

I appreciate that the employees at this store have always been helpful with any questions and assisting me with finding products. For the size of the store they have alt of stock o hand. Ive never had an issue retuning an item here.

Great place to decorate your home

There arent many paint brands and the canvases they sell are bad. Most of the store is decorations and arts and crafts. Expensive.

I like the place but really didnt get help in finding what I wanted the first time. The 2nd time, I did get some information. The first cashier didnt ask to put me on their rewards program. I checked out first and then went back to find what I still needed. So I had to stand in line twice.

I love Michaels! This review is specifically for their kids art project days on Saturdays. This program is a great deal! $5 and kids are able to create something fun.I took my son for the first time on Saturday to check it out. The project was a cactus rock painting session. The lady leading the activity was friendly and really nice. The materials they provided were good quality too. My only issue is that there was no instructions or guidance given. My son kept asking us for help and instructions. The project was not difficult but some children want a step by step play of what to do, when, and why.This is a great thing for children and an affordable project. I would just say to stay near by to assist your child if needed.

Michaels is a great place for finding supplies for all kinds of crafts. I especially love their large selection of beading supplies. They also have supplies for candle making, baking, painting, knitting, and much more. They offer competitive prices and the staff are great. The only bad thing is there always seems to be a long line at the check out.

One of my wifes favorites. Always great selection of crafting merchandise. They were in the midst of their Christmas decor clearance sale with 50% off most of their seasonal merchandise. Very busy, but they had most of their checkout registers open, so the line moved quickly. Im just the taxi driver, so I dont participate much, I just observed.

I thought this was the place for Christmas this year. Not really, not much selection and when I had to return something they told me to pay for my items first then said we will only give a store credit on the return, even though I made the purchase online with my account and paid debit.

Customer was really good . The store was really clean and all the shopping carts where freshly sanitized with sanitizing wipes next to them so you had the option to wash them again yourself if you wanted to . That made me feel alot more comfortable. Also the clerk when checking me out seen I had some items that were on coupon that week that I wasnt aware of and she offered them to me and it took my total way down

This is a great spot for quick pick up items. Remember if you want specific or unique items ( statuary, multiple options) you must go to the large store. The 4-star is for the lack of friendly customer service.

This is a big Michaels, which is nice, but make sure you get a 40% off coupon from your phone before you go in, because its a concrete deathtrap for mobile data and while they have wifi, Ive had trouble using it in the back of the store.As long as youre using a coupon, Michaels is great. Without a coupon, everything is about 40% more expensive than it should be, so beware. The cashiers are good about the coupons, though, so they can help you if youre not tech savvy

Great selection and great prices! I love the sales that they have, I take advantage as often as I can. My number one craft store, I prefer here over anywhere else. I also love the Make It times! Its awesome to be able to bring the kids Im to be able to make fun crafts every month.

Generally a good spot to pick up yarn (not a good selection of hooks or needles), seasonal decor (when it’s on sale), and scrapbooking supplies. The staff is helpful, but hard to find outside the framing desk and checkout. The Boise store is more well-stocked and seems to get seasonal displays out at least a week earlier than this branch. .

When I cant find it anywhere else, this is where I go. For some reason, Hobby stores seem to have the speed of a sloth at check out.

Store employees are the best! They will assist you with all the information regarding product availability. Reccomend this store above craft warehouse where you have to search out employees.

Seriously awesome store. If you havent been here and are curious about if they have the art supplies you need for a giant project or even simple craft, can almost guarantee they have what you need. Definitely a very inspiring store to walk around.

Michaels usually has what I need. One thing I am upset about is they got rid of their open stock paper for drawing and painting. They have a great selection of supplies though and I especially enjoy their selection of yarn.
