Since it opened many years ago, I have been a customer of Home Depot, 9615 Diamond Centre Dr., Mentor, OH 44060. I find it to be the best home improvement retailer in the Mentor area. Over the years, I have had casual interactions with the regular employees there and always find them knowledgeable and helpful.I first interacted with Regina at the Customer Service area a while ago when returning some items that I over-purchased for a job. She is always helpful, cheerful, and friendly to the customers when dealing with them. In addition, she is professional and efficient. Regina is an excellent representative of this business, and she seems like a good person. I am grateful for all that she does to help her customers and make them feel welcome and appreciated.

They have alot of things and its pretty good place. But it was hard to get help from some of the employees

Nice store. But like most Home Depot’s, staff can be hard to find at times. Wife and I spent 5 min looking around for help unfortunately. We found what we needed on our own. Store was clean and staff at the register was really nice. Just wish staff could be on sections instead of having to walk around looking for someone. But overall not bad.

I recently purchased a dewalt 20v mower from home depot. When I opened the box inside was an old dirty table saw and some wood remnants. I was shocked as the box was sealed from the factory with the plastic wrap and the corresponding bar coded label on the plastic. As I deduced that this mustve been done at the factory by an employee (because home depot checks all boxes for original content)it occurred to me that home depot staff might not buy my story and I may be out $500.00. When I pitched my story to the staff at returns they were not only super apologetic but they believed me 100% without a managers approval. Thank you home depot staff Mentor, Ohio!!

This location is always clean and organized. The staff seem to be nice and helpful when asked. The cashier told us about a childrens activity pack that they give away once a month that she thought our daughter might like. I appreciate the info and will be coming back for that when available.

BOUGHT A Rheem hot water tank did not work at all after installed. Have made many calls to try and get service, still waiting for a call back 4 days later, will never buy anything again from that store. worst customer service ever. From now on It will be Meneards or Loews.

Horrible experience. Will never shop at any Home Depot again. I went into this location with my husband to shop for appliances (stove and refrigerator) We found what we wanted and the store associate William Dei told us it came in the color that we wanted (stainless steel) We paid and left with the understanding it would arrive at our residence in two weeks. When it arrived the stove came in white and the refrigerator came in stainless steel not what we asked for. After the inconvenience of calling around to see what could be done, the warehouse told us it was nothing they could do since the mistake was made in the store. We drove to the store which was another inconvenience since we dont live near there. Only to be told by the associate there was nothing he can do and to come back Monday to place another order. NEVER order from places who get their appliances from third-party vendors such as HOME DEPOT. When mistakes are made with the ordering it is a hassle to back track who is at fault and to come up with a solution and then wait again for your corrected order. Spend your money with local shops who have merchandise on-hand so you know for sure what you are getting. The lack of integrity is unbelievable. And to find out from their delivery people that this happens often... This business needs to be held accountable and do better!There were no mistakes when they took my money, so they should work to ensure the customer is satisfied. I feel they dont care its just a job for most of them.

I really enjoy going to home depot. First of all the honor the veterans. Because their competition makes you do things differently when youre a veteran so I very much enjoy going to home Depot the treat the veterans with respect and they treat their employees that are veterans with a lot of respect they proudly display that they served this great nation of ours.

Super friendly staff and they had everything we were looking for. The only small issue we had was there wasntuch cell reception in the store so we couldnt look up what aisle things were in using the app like we planned but that is not the hlHome Depots fault. We were still able to find everything just took us a bit longer. Next time we Ill write down the locations of things before heading in.

They had the piece of lumber I needed and they cut it for me. The only thing I wish they would correct is there directions to the store on MapQuest...for some reason they only take you on the back roads...no major highways. It took us forever to get from Warren to Mentor, Ohio following their store directions.

My go-to place for all kinds of DIY and home repair. They usually have what I need. Good prices. Now with Menards across the street, the competition makes getting the best prices and the best piece of equipment much easier!

Waited almost an hour to get 2 cans of paint in the same color, every elderly employee in there is as rude as they can be. Every time I look at customers In that store they’re rolling their eyes or look irritated. After an hour and a half of running around I get back home and both cans of paint were the wrong color. Please just go to the Chardon location everything about the mentor/Painesville is just excruciating and you will actually be treated right at Chardon.

What began as a most frustrating experience was completely turned around by Jeannie, the ASM. A mower repair gone bad, weeks to return only to find the problem not fixed was turned around by doing all the right things in record time!We were blessed by Jeannies great customer service, pleasant and friendly nature and willingness to offer to go above and beyond.Thank you!

When you place a delivery order for this store they pawn it off to another location that doesn’t have the inventory you wanted. Make sure you don’t order next day delivery from this location because they will refuse it and send it somewhere random that doesn’t have what you want.

I love home Depot and literally give them my money for everything lol I always get the gift cards from giant eagle first so I can get free fuel 😁

One of the worst ones Ive been to. The millwork guy is not knowledgeable, but pretends he knows what he is talking about. Would rather argue than order what I asked for. Took my business to Menards.*Edit*. Shows how much they care about customer service or apologizing. My review is from over six months ago and they are silent. Menards is right next door and they care. I will never shop at Home Depot ever again.

Last December I bought 2 toilets, a tub, and much more. Paid and left. Month or two later I noticed they charged me for 3 toilets instead of two. Over $175 for a toilet I didn’t buy. Spoke to customer service and two different managers both saying they would contact back but no dice. Check your receipts before leaving!

I know times are tough, but there is a lack of help for patrons looking for assistance.

I ordered 20 of an item that was in stock here at this home depot online and paid for it and had curbside pickup the following day. When I arrived they brought out 4 of the 20 then told me they refunded me the difference. When I asked the young man where I could find them he went back in and came out and told me that I would have to drive to another store and go pick them up myself. When I spoke to the manager later he said they called (with no message) at that to solve my problem he would train them for the future. Did nothing for me after spending half my day chasing these down! Hey dont put yourself out!

This Home depot is usually pretty busy. Some of the staff are not always the most friendly but has a good amount of people working which allows you get find help in locating items. Has plexiglass at checkout lines as well as returns and also has self checkout counters too.

This place honors Vets..preferred parking. Average service..definitely an overall rating of B.

Most decent gas prices around lately. People need to follow directional arrows going in and out of their lot.

While others say the employees are super helpful, they must not work late shift. When I can’t find something, I ask for help and you’d think I was asking for them to do the project for me. They’re always out of what I need as well and won’t even remotely entertain a conversation of when the item may be back in stock. You’d think with menards across the street they’d step it up a bit to be more helpful. It’s disappointing.

The materials seem to always be of premium quality and there return policy 👌 is about as easy as you can get. They are as friendly returning something, as they are selling you something, you cant beat that. Shopping at home depot has always been a good experience for me. The associates are always helpful. All you have to do is ask or just look really confused and they will help. Plenty of parking, handicap friendly with a friendly atmosphere.

If purchasing fertilizer of the Scotts brand,for that matter any fertilizer make sure you check the bag for rips,and if you do find one you may ask a sales associate or manager for a discount,it definitely may be worth it.FYI If it gets to your vehicle it maybe to late.Many of the bags definitely had small tears.

Purchased a riding mower and the delivery truck left large oil spots all over the driveway. I contacted the store, which provided me with a statement to fill out. I completed the statement and never heard back from the store. I ended paying to have the oil spots removed from the driveway. Very disappointing customer service and experience.

Hone depot has a lot of good options and fair pricing. I recently moved to lake county and the Mentor location specifically has way more selections and is a lot cleaner/organized than other locations Ive been to. Very happy with the products and services Ive experienced there. Return policy is extremely helpful also since you never know if something is going to work out until you install it. Highly recomend this location.

Bad customer service. Electrical department and manager were too lazy to get a ladder to check for inventory on a high shelf. It said they had one in stock but it wasnt on the lower shelf and they wouldnt take 5 minutes to check up high.

My local hardware store did not the Anti-siphon vacuum breaker I needed for an outdoor faucet. Decided to try a large box store and found that they did.

Found what I was looking for in the appropriately named section of the store, and an associate nearby was able to identify the size just by looking at the example I brought from home. Picked the length easily, but did not see a corresponding price label, so was unsure on price until I arrived at the checkout when I was glad to see it was inexpensive. Complimented the purchase with another item that caught my eye on the way to the checkout and checked that price label. I went to self-checkout and there was another helpful associate who assisted me in matching price as the register claimed a higher price than advertised where I found that item. Overall, a pleasant shopping experience. 😁

This place didnt have any metallic non spray paint at all. The paint manager said they havent had it in a year. Yet, Brookpark Parma location has a lot of them in many different types. So aggravating to go all the way into a store for a specific thing and be told they dont stock it. Why advertise that in your web site then?

Awful store. Wasnt allowed to pay cash for a mower. Website and store inventories dont agree. Very little help. Go to Menards instead.
