Great southern home cooking when youre tired of the fast food restaurants. Good succulent baked chicken, savory greens, cornbread and yams my favorites there.

I love this place. The soulfood is always on point and enough. Never a bad day unless closed. Lol I would eat there everyday if i could. The cost is all worth it.

Looks can be very deceiving. It may not look like much on the outside, but on the inside, this place has some of the best homecooking youll ever have. And you get your moneys worth! And make sure you tip those hard working ladies jammed up behind that counter! They deserve it!

If you are looking for soul food in Memphis, most days, this is the place to be! Its soul food yall so dont think about calories or beef vs pork for the beans etc. Lol! They have made some updates to the lobby but for those of you who arent accustomed to some old school grocery / steam table facilities, you will still be a bit apprehensive. On a good day, my favorite is the turkey wings, dressing and greens. Check them out!

I love the food and the people. You get an unbelievable amount of food for the money. Everything is freshly prepared from scratch daily, and they do not use processed or can foods. It is most certainly the healthiest soul food in Memphis, as well as the best ! Oh, and be sure to Save room for desert. I love the peach cobbler so much, that I order it by the pan. In a word: yummie.😋

Small down home neighborhood grocery store, where the big draw is the hot dinner plates. For under 9 dollars, you get a large soul food plate to go. Very friendly staff and great food. I pick up for the office every week and I would recommend this place to everyone.

If youre in need of a home-cooked, soulful meal, this is definitely the place to go. I originally ate here over 10+ years ago and I recently visited and the food was still just as amazing as the very first time... I have *never* had anything from their menu that I didnt absolutely love. Absolutely one of South Memphis hidden gems.

Amazing food and given the neighborhood you can eat in peace and feel safe. As a truck driver i get to enjoy good food and bad food all over. This gets markes as a good food.
