Ive only visited once but I found all the model paints I was looking for. This place is huge and they have supplies for both common and obscure hobbies. Theres a cool aisle with retro collectibles at some pretty reasonable prices. I would love to go back and wonder around some day.

When we went here, i was super excited. Once we were inside, i knew i came to the right place. This place is huge! They have a computer hooked up to a remote control plane transmitter so you can virtually drive one! When i went to the model train area i got to meet Mike, Mike is a train specialist that works at the model train part of the store, he is very experienced with model trains of all kind. He helped me get new wires for the controller for the track, he gave me a new steam loco for a very cheap price because my budget was low (60 dollars). He also gave me a 12 pack of ho scale track as a bonus for free. When we got home the engine and track worked perfectly! I am really satisfied with my purchase and i will definitely be coming back to get more track and rolling stock, I recommend this place to anyone who loves cars, trains, planes, comic books, toys, and everything you could imagine from an amazing place like midsouth hobbies and games, so go check it out!

Came in for some Warhammer Merch after the main office closed down. Have to say they made the hour and a half trip worth it! They have loads of merchandise for all hobbyists that very from incredibly recent to old niche classics. Had an incredibly homey feel, I will totally be coming back!

If your in there for warhammer. Dont, many warhammer items there are mostly above the 40 dollar price tag many codexes were old and some of the models were old too. If your in there for Gunpla and rc this is the place for you. The people in there were also extremely nice. Hopefully theyll expand their warhammer selection.

This place is awesome! They had just about every scale model manufacturer represented. Some of the decals in the huge drawers were out of production rare! The largest scale aircraft section between Little Rock and Kennesaw I have seen.Half the hobby side is train stuff, and they have a large RC section. There was also a more thrift-type side that was interesting to browse. Just come and look!

Sad to say as much as they sell Traxxas products 😕 they dont offer the power up plan that most dealers have because they are forcing the customers to play full price for another engine or motor when they suppose to value the power plan from Traxxas but they dont so they can pad there pockets.

Lots of DC and Marvel character statues to choose from....though some are a bit ridiculously priced....but also some retro toys that are worth more than they have them priced at especially the Star Wars and Star Trek toys.... great place to visit if you have any interest in investing money in the toy market....

Great place to buy hobby materials. Trains, RC cars/trucks, slot cars, 24 scale models, comic books, excetra. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

Went to pick up a tool kit for my sons new RC truck. Guys behind the counter stopped what they were doing and answered my newbie questions without hesitation and without being annoyed by my questions. Offered up additional tips and tricks that I didnt even realize I should ask about. Better experience than I had planned having.

Whoever you are..if you want to start a hobby and are looking for the place from vintage stuff to flying planes..little jets..comics and well... anything your significant other doesnt know you are spending money on....please go here. The staff is very helpful and the store is fantastic to bring your kids and friends to.

They have just about everything need for hobbies frome RC cars to Warhammer 40k miniatures.

By this place being the only hobby shop in the area you would expect great customer service right? ...wrong..very disappointed in this place..really wish Nitro RC was still around..This past weekend I stopped by this shop to pick up some 6s batteries for my trucks.. Went into the store walked to the rc sales counter no one came to assist us. There were two people working in the department one guy in the back area and one guy was just staring at the computer trying his best to ignore me and my wife. We made eye contact with the guy at the PC and he looked away. We were standing there looking at the battery tray for about 6min until I asked the guy Hey! Could you help me with your battery selection.. he rolled his eyes and said yea what I told the guy what I was looking for 2x 5000mah 6s batteries. He proceeded to pick up and toss the wrong batteries on the counter like he was annoyed with my presence. So when I told him these are not the right batteries and not what I was looking for he seemed to get annoyed at this point thats when I told the guy..you know what nevermind you can keep it and we walked out. idk if he couldnt read or what but the customer service is hot trash in this place I would not recommend this place to any black hobbyist in the RC hobby..find a rc group on FB for help and when making purchases just pay the extra bucks and buy your supplies online cause this place obviously doesnt need your service...now keep in mind the shop wasnt really busy meaning there were no customers in the RC area as it was mid afternoon when I stopped by. Ive been in the hobby for about 12 years and this was a very disappointing experience the guy at the counter seemed to not have much knowledge of the hobby. They dont have to worry about me coming back..they were very rude

Stopping there every once in awhile however Im seemingly stopping in there more frequently got a hell of a r c four-wheel drive radio-controlled super buggy good pricings also if you love putting together models which is now becoming quite the thing especially with his pandemic and isolation reasonable prices starting at twenty bucks all the way up they have a super selection of anything and everything including some inventory old school stereo equipment in the back comic books if your collector and of course the RC cars Planes Trains and Automobiles you name it they got it right on Summer Avenue 10 minutes from the house hours of entertainment when she leave a highly recommend stopping in there if you have it

What an incredible store. you could spend a day looking at all of the different hobby parts and kits and not see everything. Great staff. they are busy but take time to help when needed. If you are into trains, remote control cars, planes, etc, slot cars and more than this is a must visit store. Even if you are not into these hobbies its an experience just to see all of the stuff they have on display.

Stocked full of everything you could need for every hobby, from trains, to cars, to comics, to other collectibles. Had to drag my kids out.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. I brought my 4 year old daughter and two year old son in and they turned on the trains for them, and should them different types for over 30 minutes. They helped me pick out a slot car for my daughter and she got to play with it on the track. All in all a great place that has/can get anything you need for your hobby. I would recommend this place to anyone to go and enjoy.

Iive in a small town about an hour away from memphis. There are closer hobbie shops around. Mid south hobbies, by far is the best, well stocked, and staffed of any others. The staff is always eager to help me and is very knowledge. I would highly recommend them anytime.

Love mid South hobbies and games... !! Took my grandson there...We purchased & raced slot cars on their very large in house track and had a blast !! ....Staff is very kind and helped us hop up our cars so that we could have more fun with them .This place is worth going out of your way for to visit and just browse or buy.

Whatever your hobby is, Im sure they can accommodate you. I stood and watched the Slt Car track and was amazed at the size of the cars and the speed of them as well. Nothing like the ones I used to race in my younger days. The staff was pleasant to talk to as well. Awesome place!

What a great place! Went in for a small problem on my RC car and was going to buy new wheels but I was helped and they fixed the issue at minimum cost with some clever help! So friendly!

They seem to have a good inventory, but it looks like they moved from the old place to the new place and brought just the same stuff and spread it out more. I didnt really see any new product lines.Saw 2 employees behind the counter when we walked in ... They never greeted us or spoke to us the entire 30 minutes we were there.The girl stocking the shelves smiled as she walked past, but didnt speak.When we left, the guys behind the counter never even looked up.So .. maybe you can find what you need. But I dont know if they will help you find it.

This was just for fun. The family and I had gone to ponchos for lunch and decided to walk over afterwards to see what they had. The staff were very cool. Place was a little cluttered but the seem to be changing stock. Otherwise a great experience. Very reasonable prices on much of their stock.

This hobby shop is locally owned and has a very friendly staff. There is a good selection of hobbies here to choose from: Model cars, Gunpla, Tabletop and Card games, Slot car, Model trains, RC planes and car, and comics. So any one who is into some kind of hobby will feel at home at Midsouth.

It was OK. I think they should have a wider selection personally the words hobbies and games goes further then what the human eye can see. The shop should learn more about other hobbies besides trains, planes and star wars.

Love this place. I havent been to a decent hobby store, models and trains, since I moved to Tennessee. This place is packed with new and ols trains, all of the scales you could ever want, and tons of plastic model kits and RC toys. Definitely worth the 2 hour drive to get there.

Im a model railroader. As some other reviews say, its not always well-organized, but they have a wide variety of stuff at excellent prices. Much of it is from collections theyve purchased, which makes it hard to organize because items might not be in original boxes.Its a lot like digging through an antique store. Its up to you to find the gems.Additionally, they have an excellent selection of scratch building supplies, all of which are new and in manufacturers display racks for easy selection.So, no, its not neat and clean like Walgreens, but its far better than any hobby shop in my hometown of Nashville and better than many stores Ive visited. Ill definitely go back.

So i went in to see if i could get me an esc motor combo for my crawler. absolutely no help, stood for 30 minutes then when asked i was shown where escs are supposed to be and the guy walked off. didnt point me to a combo or even attempted to sell me anything. walked out and wont return. ill just wait until i get home and visit my LHS. this shop was a joke.

Garbage dump... And personal I have never found the staff anything beyond rude or indifferent. The do probably have what you want just dont look at the shelves when browsing. Remember there are likes of junk littered throughout so always look down before stepping.

First time going to this store and honestly I dont think Ill be back. Nothing was organized. Everything was just thrown on the shelves. Prices were outrageous for busted up boxes and damaged items.

Dont go unless u want to buy something for a train cause that for the most part is all they have.

Visited the store 3 weeks ago. There is a lot of stock on the shelves but it is very disorganised and I had to have a very good rummage to find items I was after. Purchased a plastic kit and a week later when I opened the box (I was on holiday so it had been sitting in my suitcase for the week) the wrong set was inside and half the content had been cut off the sprue and was missing. Emailed the shop to let them know, and whilst not expecting a refund (I don’t live in the States so I accept a refund would be impossible) an apology or acknowledgement of my email would have been nice-however, I have not heard anything from them. Based on this experience I could not recommend the store-which is a shame as there are so few model/hobby shops around.

Terrible place to have work done on RC cars. Never again will I be back there.

Talk about a hidden gem. You paint figures? Theyve got paints! You like models? The have those! Do you want to play games in a group or race small track cars? They do that too! Theres LITERALLY something for everyone and just random stuff everywhere, waiting for you to just find it. Great place.

Emo is the owner and hes a super cool guy! Theyre pricing is fair and their advice is priceless. Its great to have a home town hobby shop. I doubt any new ones are being opened. Support your local hobby shop!

These guys were awesome! Totally saved our little Cub Scouts pinewood derby race the following day after his dads goofball accident (🙄). Very helpful and attentive staff. Place was jam packed with a lot of people having a great time. Will definitely be back often!

Not a selection at all for quadcopters. Parts for horizon, no fcs, goggles frames, nothin. Lol and ridiculous prices for the 3 Horizon quads they did have. Staff didn speak a word didn know who worked there or who was just playing with slot cars.
