This shop is unbelievably cute! A friend and I were visiting Memphis and booked afternoon tea. It was such a fun and luxurious experience. The tea was great and the assortment of sweet treats and mini sandwiches was divine. We also grabbed some treats to go to enjoy later. Definitely a must visit spot in Memphis!

We did a tea party here and it was amazing! I dont normally like tea but me and the girls got all dolled up for the day and really enjoyed ourselves. It was a lot of fun. The tea was really good and the snacks were amazing! Skip the purple lavender macaroons tho 🤢

This was the best fruit tart and cupcake I have ever eaten. The tart had the freshest fruit and perfect crust. The cupcake was light with pillow soft icing with bursting flavor. My latte was perfect and my husbands tea was delicious. It was berry fruit tea that we dont remember the name of. It was deep red, lol. If I could give more stars, I would!

Have been here a few times and all 4x - delightful experience! Had afternoon tea, have eaten just about everything there is here & even bought clothing, tea & other retail items... it’s a quaint little bakery on Overton square. Wish we had this in Collierville!

17 Berkshire is one of my favorite Memphis stops! I never know what to get because its all so good! I love their oat milk lattes with a box of macarons. Their pastries are always DELICIOUS. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I haven’t tasted the treats or desserts, I only went in for coffee. All I can say is that the coffee was not as good as it looked. Perhaps it was just that day. Also the iced latte had white flakes in it . I will try the desserts which look like they are delicious. I guess I’ll know when I try them. For now I give them this review.

A local treasure and a must-visit (on the regular!). I can’t say enough about how delectable and delightful EVERY offering is here, from the beautiful pastries to the expertly crafted coffees and teas. The owner and her team epitomize excellence and inspire with their out-of-this-world recipes...just as much as they do with their Insta-worthy artistry.

I have visited 17 Berkshire several time and their customer service is the best! I usually get the London Fog Latte or an Early Grey Tea and 1-2 Lavender Macarons. It is my favorite combo and makes bad day turn into a great one! When I want a pick me up, this is my favorite place to come and relax. I just wish I lived closer.

I was very excited to try this place and it did not disappoint! It was lovely! The service was exceptional, the macarons were melt in your mouth, divine, and the coffee was spot on! I will definately be back to try other lovely pastries and perhaps tea!

Super friendly and helpful staff! Went to get macrons just shortly before they closed and the girl was super friendly and even brought us a few extra flavors from the back! She knew a lot about what she was selling and asked her coworker when she didn’t know the answer to something (never lied and didn’t mind saying I’m not sure let me check!! Awesome!!). The even better part was how great and tasty these treats were. Super well made and fresh, definitely recommend and will be back for more!

I LOVE this place! The customer service is phenomenal and all of the pastries are delicious! My favorite thing to get is a sweet treat with an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Their coffee and the syrups are my favorite in the city. I have also had the pleasure of enjoying afternoon tea at 17 Berkshire. The entire experience was lovely. My friend and I still talk about the turkey sandwiches. Also, there was a mixup with scheduling and we were asked to move tables. The staff apologized profusely and then the owners gave us, and the other table, a free box of 6 macrons in an apology for the mixup. Highly recommend this place!

Three stars for the yummy macaroons…. It’s a cute tiny lil cafe shop with a few seating to grab tea and roons. I was visiting Memphis and googled this place and had to try. Ummm I didn’t give it 5 stars because the cashier girl wasn’t as friendly as I would have expected. Overall I brought some macaroons back home to Houston and gave it to my sister and friend the next day and they said it held up and still tasted fresh and yummy.

Delicious! This is a cold mango treat with coconut and cake at the bottom and a strawberry center. Tore it up! Drink is Mango iced tea.

I am now very disappointed with 17 Berkshire (1-2 years ago I would have given 17 Berkshire 5 stars)! When I first moved to Memphis, I was excited to find a dessert place in Memphis that is not just cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies. I went in today, and they don’t carry tea cakes anymore, and most French pastries are nonexistent but there were plenty of cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies. I actually feel sorry for the owner having to be forced to make cupcakes and M&M chocolate chip cookies. What am I supposed to eat at tea time? Cupcakes?!?

I had a wonderful customer service experience with 17 Berkshire. I placed an order on Seamless for a birthday cake, but come to find out, the listing on Seamless is not authorized by the bakery. I started to panic but the issue was graciously and quickly resolved by the 17 Berkshire staff. They had a birthday cake ready for my mom within a few hours, and were so helpful and nice throughout the process. The cake was delicious!!!!! And beautiful! Thank you for the great service and the wonderful cake! Will definitely be back.

Always love coming down to this cafe. however this is my second time visiting this month and ordering an iced matcha latte where it seems that they are just dumping the drink with matcha powder. i will ask for a specific milk and amount of sweetener and my request are never met. the baristas seem to be rushing and not paying attention. it would be nice to see them write down what customers ask for, since they are not remembering. we have to pay extra for different milk and customizations. i would like to pay for what i have asked for. im guessing these are new baristas but they don’t seem to love what they’re doing (based on attitude) or may need more practice. the picture provided is the second time she made the drink, it is even stirred up. the old barista, never got her name & hope she still works there. but she never made these mistakes and always seemed happy to help.

I’ve never had an item I did not enjoy at 17 Berkshire and the staff is so warm and welcoming! It legitimately brightens my day everytime I step into this shop! Highly recommend!

This place is special and the service is outstanding! The latte (lavender w/oat milk) extra hot is delicious and the price is fair. We also loved the macaroons some of the best we’ve tasted- try the vanilla filled with raspberry! Well done 17 Berkshire we will be regular and loyal customers.

Looked all over for the perfect macaroons for a birthday cake for my child, little macaroon connoisseur. This place saved the day. Macaroons were bigger than all the other places we had stopped. Store was very clean and the owner friendly. Thank you!

This adorable shop in Overton Square has delicious macarons and other French pastries. They also serve Stumptown coffee and make their own delicious syrups for lattes with interesting flavors like orange blossom and rose cardamom. The homemade marshmallows are a must; the lavender ones are my favorite. They also host pop ups in the that give the place a real community feel. You should put 17 Berkshire at the top of your to do list next time you’re in midtown Memphis!

Tucked away in a cozy corner next to Memphis Pizza Cafe across from the Malco Studio on the Square, 17 Berkshire offers some of the most delicious baked goods and in house beverages that are neither too sweet nor too bland.While the patisserie is often known for its macaroons, if you ask my son, Toast Cat, the real winners of this cute little bakery are the deliciously fresh, baked cookies (both chocolate chip and snickerdoodle) and in home hot chocolate, all of which are great for getting through a very busy, dreary day or in my case, getting through my boring gluten free diet routine after a fun day of swimming in the pool, ha ha!Although the place is a little small, overall, it is a great place for those looking to host a book or graphic novel club there, which I will be in September this year. #shamelesspluginBy the way, the place does offer plenty of charging stations those looking to plug in their laptops or phones.Also, for all of you Harry Potter lovers, be on the lookout for their next Harry Potter Day celebrations if you want to try any of their speciality drinks and desserts! :D

Little macaron shop with a variety of yummy macaron flavors, other small desserts and all kinds of delicious coffees. They even have iced lattes with interesting flavors like lavender. Lots of outlets for charging phones and laptops and free wifi which is great because I had no cell signal in Overton Square. Staff was super friendly and chatted with me for a long time! Must stop in Memphis.

Today was my first time at 17 Berkshire for afternoon tea. Not only was the tea and treats absolutely delicious, the staff was incredible and so friendly! The afternoon tea was extremely overpriced. We received a single pot of tea and a very small assortment of tea sandwiches and desserts. The scones were extremely hard and dry to the point of being inedible, the macarons did not have the appropriate texture and flavors were not great overall. The opera cake was enjoyable, but $75 for two people is NOT worth the experience we had. Nobody ever came to check on us after we received the food and we were not at any point asked how things were. Overall, disappointing food and service. My friend and I have both had multiple afternoon tea experiences and this doesn’t come close to anything either of us have experienced for the same price elsewhere. If you’re going to spend the money, go to the Peabody!

We came here to celebrate my daughter’s 8th birthday, just the two of us, and we had such a great time. We made an appointment online the day before so that we could have the full afternoon tea experience, and it did not disappoint. We loved all of the food- the herb cream cheese on the bread was especially good. My daughter opted for hot chocolate at the last minute, but the “heavenly cream” tea that I had was delicious. Loved it paired with the scones especially. This was such a fun, special experience that you can’t get just anywhere. I can’t wait to come back with my other kids- they were so jealous lol.

Hollow Macarons. The macarons ive gotten are always hollow and overcooked. they should be crisp out the outside while being soft and chewy on the inside. These are hard and crackle while leaving a mess everywhere. They are also pretty light on the filling.

The macaroons are delicious here, and the coffee is amazing. They use stumptown roasters which is pretty rare in Memphis, but it is a quality bean. The baked goods are also really tasty here as well. Service is always friendly with a smile.

This little bakery is an absolute gem and home to literally the best latte that I have ever had. EVER. Im always impressed by the quality of the pastries offered here, too. The Belle dessert and the chocolate tarts are my absolute favorites, but they can sell FAST, so grab when you can! A smattering of macarons are always there to satisfy your sweet tooth, though, if your other favorites have all been claimed for the day. Im definitely a repeat customer with my eyes set on High Tea next!

A clean, beautiful, and unique bakery/patisserie/coffee shop to Memphis. My favorites are the chocolate chip cookie, rouge Provence latte, and the opera cake. A friend of mine says their chocolate cupcake was the best she’d ever had. The staff and owner are always so kind. They also made my wedding cake! If you haven’t been in yet, you’re missing out!

This is a hidden gem. There are only two places I would get coffee from on Memphis, and this is one of them. Plus, the pastries are unique and delicious. This is the place to go for an after lunch coffee.

Her macaroons are so gooey from the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside, just right. They’re southern style size. In every state I have been to there is a place where you step a foot and you feel you’re like in Paris. For Memphis this is the spot. It’s like Midnight in Paris. Today I ordered macarons. Lemon, pistachio, raspberry, birthday cake, and salted caramel. Pistachio has always been my fave BUT these were a bit stale W/ a funny taste. All the others were perfect though.

Such a gem nestled behind some buildings. The treats are made from scratch. We had a chai tea and chocolate chip cookie and it was fantastic! Quaint interior and the young lady that waited on us was very sweet, smiled and was very helpful. A must do!

Very disappointing. Too sweet and too buttery and no nuances of tastes. They also had wrong French spelling but the good thing is once we brought it up they fixed it on the spot and that is a good sign. So hopefully they will improve their dessert as well. Memphis needs a good dessert place.

We stopped by this place for the first time over the weekend. We asked for one of each type of pastry that was on display that day, excluding the macarons. Out of the seven pastries we tried, every single one of them was delicious, fresh and absolutely wonderful. Honestly, each dessert tasted like it was just made and had a rich flavor to it. I would highly recommend.

The macarons were stale and crumbly, not that beautiful crack and then chew that you experience when a real pastry chef makes one. The staff was extremely inflexible when I asked for tea in a tea pot and if I wasn’t with a friend that I had promised a tea afternoon, I would have walked out with my $40. My water was like warm and my tea didn’t steep very well. The staff is not well versed on tea as they didn’t even know about Assam tea. I was disgusted by the service. Even when I explained the Situation they were completely inflexible. I’m never going back. What poor business people, they could have made almost $100 if they had just put my tea in the pot with proper hot water because I was going to buy their football cookies for my super bowl part. I left and went to Muddy’s and purchased 18 cookies where I received the most perfect treatment and service. Don’t waste your time with this place.

I eat here regularly and the macaroons and cookies are always amazing. There’s always new flavors and different pastries to try every day. The owner is very talented at designing personal cakes/pastries and the food is superb.

17Berkshire, Memphis friends just went to this new place. Lily, bought the only 3 cookies she had left. We then proceeded to go outside and sit. Fletch (my 3 year old little boy) had to use the restroom so we went back in and the owner was in the back so we went to the door marked restroom. When we out came she rudely let me know there’s a public restroom outside, I said oh my friend purchased some cookies and she said I know. I then said, there’s no signs saying employees only so I thought it was a restroom for customers. She then said, not for you. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I would leave zero stars if I could. There wasn’t a single customer in the store when we purchased or when we came back in to use the restroom. I see why now.

The macarons were too dry. Maybe I got a stale batch. They were not at all light & chewy but rather crumbly and dry. I would try again except the pistachio flavor. It was just some chemical imitation flavoring that reminded me of cleaning products. Actually I might not try this place again.

Beautifully furnished, like out of a magazine. Was not impressed, however, with the macaroons. Top dollar for averagequality.Got pistachio and lavender macaroons. Pistachio tasted nothing like pistachio. Wont be back.

The pistachio macaron was much better than I had imagined it would be. One of the less sweet ones in the assortment, it served as a nice pallet cleanser after dinner. I have never had pistachio ice cream, but after thoroughly enjoying this macaron I am curious to try it. I would call the flavor nutty but not aggressively nutty. It very much reminded me of the time I decided to make cookies with almond and coconut flour. This is probably no coincidence, as I know from The Great British Baking Show that almond flour is actually an essential ingredient in macarons (this also makes macarons gluten free so yay). My experience with almond flour both in real life and over TV informed me that it adds a nuttiness much like that of this pistachio macaron, which makes me wonder whether it is flavored very strongly. Either way, I very much enjoyed this treat, and I would highly recommend it. Furthermore, it may qualify as my favorite macaron from 17 Berkshire, and I will be purchasing it again.

We visited this gem for the first time in September 2018. My experience was excellent and the macarons were delicious!! Not only was the lady behind the counter friendly but so was the owner, as they both answered my questions about making sure all the macarons were gluten free (allergy) and then I had non-allergy related questions on all the different teas they offer.The birthday cake was my absolute favorite flavor that I have tried so far!! I got a sampling of all 6 flavors in house, I dont think you can go wrong with whatever flavor you chose.

17 berkshire is the place we’ve been waiting for! the most delicious macarons & pastries are all made in-house by the lovely owner. the setting is chic and serene, the staff is charming and polished, and the cold-brew iced coffee is A+ rocket fuel. it’s like a mini-vacation every time. go treat yourself!

This place is super amazing. The macarons are to die for. The types vary day to day, so you know they are made fresh daily. They flavors are delicate and are seasonal and unique; my favorites are earl gray and the lavender ones. The outer layer has a nice crisp while the middle part is soft so the whole macarons melts in your mouth. Cupcakes are moist and delicious, great cake to frosting ratio. Everything is made in house which is a plus. Coffee is fantastic!!!! The atmosphere is calm and the place is spotless (rare in Memphis, Id know because Ive worked in every restaurant in this city). Finally, Memphis has a quaint adorable stylish dessert place!!!! Great place for bloggers.

Quaint. Earl Grey macaron was lovely. Also had the Heavenly Cream Coco Chai Tea (coco wasn’t overpowering).Adorable environment. Great for a girls date. Also nice to support a local Memphian and her business! The patisseries look great, can’t wait to come back and get more!

I cant believe a place like this exists in Memphis! Its the elegant French bakery of your Parisian dreams. I dont love macarons- Ive had my fair share, even Laduree- and I swear the 17berkshire ones are on another level! Perfect texture and amazing, generous filling. Doesnt hurt that the owner is so welcoming and the whole place is Instagram worthy!!
