I have ordered the same thing from them and they have gotten it right one time. I only order 1 pancake and bacon. I asked them so many times to cook my bacon well done not crispy and each time it has gotten worse. This time with my order the pancake was not good either. I will not be ordering from this location again. The food was distasteful and I could not finish it all.

Excellent bagel shop! The service and the food were exquisite. My waitress was a delightful, energetic and savvy African-American girl who knew the entire menu impeccably. You could swear she had been born and raised in Tel Avivs Park Tzameret neighborhood her whole life. I had a finger lickin good lox salmon bagel and a corned beef knish, they were awesome!!!

This is whats left of my delicious scrambled egg and sausage skillet, I added everything but tomatoes. Being stuck in a hotel room for work for the last couple weeks, Ive been looking for some comfort food. Absolutely didnt disappoint, I thought Id need salsa or ketchup for the potatoes but the flavors were perfect.

This place is terrible. My cream cheese was lumpy and sour and my bagel was stale. I sat in line for 20 minutes for something that my 5 year old could’ve made better. You call this New York Style? I’ve been to New York. As a matter of fact, my husband is from there. So I’ve had my fair share of bagels. Don’t waste your gas, time, nor money coming here. The employees were the only good part.

Fabulous breakfast place! There were 15 of us in our party and all the food came out hot and the order was perfect. Blake and his crew were so nice and helpful.

This reminds me of the local diners you see on movies! The food and customer service gives you that comfort feeling! Everything is takes as if its made from scratch, even the bagels!

Excellent sandwiches and bagels in a clean, well maintained setting. Service was a bit slow, and our order took quite a bit longer than expected, but the manager gave us a discount without us asking.

First time. Had to wait awhile for our toasted bagels to go but the menu looks good for a real Jewish deli. Will be back for the matzo ball soup.

Go here often with hubby and FIL, and the food is always banging. Everything on the end is delicious and pretty inexpensive for the quality. If you havent, you definitely need to try it!!!

Air is broken. Wait staff was jut one person. Owners seem to not seem to know how to run a restaurant. Waitress forgot my wifes order and had to come back to the table to ask what it was again. They got my order wrong twice. I specifically asked them to describe the pastrami sandwich and they said it was beef with pepper on the outside pieces. I said I would have the Pastrami with meet only. They made me a rubuen. The second time they brought me out a corn beef sandwich. They wanted to make it a third time, but at this point My time is worth more than a mediocre sandwich place. Im sure covid has taken a toll on the wait staff, and If I go back I will update this review. This one star review is of the state of this business today 8/10/21. The owner(s) never even came to ask why I had touched my 14$ sandwich(s). If a place is understaffed and not busy, and the wait staff cannot keep up, the owners should help out.

As a Philly native new to Memphis, I was super pumped to find The Bagel. The bacon egg and cheese was phenomenal, the cream cheese shmears are delish, and theres a bunch of great deli options. Will be back.

I got a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagels. I was so excited/hopefully to find good bagels. This was not it. The bagel was not toasted. Sort of crumbly, not chewy. Barely any “everything”. The bacon and eggs were good though not very much of the bacon. Still going to go back, just not for breakfast sandwiches, as maybe it’s just an off day for everything bagels.

Had the pastrami on marbled rye with provolone and mustard. It was amazing. Very flavorful pastrami and the bread was very good. Staff was very friendly and got our food out quickly. Highly recommend these guys.

My daughter and I went to The Bagel for the first time today. We ordered and waited initially for what seemed to be forever, since many people who arrived after us had already received their order and departed. When we received our order, I didn’t have an opportunity to view it until I’d arrived at my destination and it was all wrong and not at all what I expected.So I went back and spoke with the manager who was very professional and extremely helpful. He not only apologized for the error but allowed me to replace my order immediately! Having relocated to Tennessee, we’ve had our share of unpleasant experiences. However this was certainly not one of those times. He was wonderful! It was greatly appreciated for sure and my family and I will definitely return. Oh yes....the food was excellent as well!

I entered this place and wasnt acknowledged after 15 minutes of standing right in front of the register. Two customers walked right past me and were immediately serviced. I guess I invisible or something. Two stars because customer service should not be this way. The food was good though.

Fantastic place! I’m not a bagel enthusiast but it was super good. I’ve had bagels, hashbrown/egg/meat mix, and a breakfast sandwich from here and all items were very good. I highly recommend!

Small but quaint, good food more than bagels

I’m not a huge bagel guy, but I was feeling it this morning. I thought the price was fair ($2 for a blueberry bagel) and the wait time (est. 10 min) wasn’t outrageous. I want to go back to try the Deli menu.

I really liked it. This was the first time going here. I found it quiet, which I love. Most of the restaurants around here pipe loud music in and I cant hear them. This place doesnt.The food is excellent. I had a reuben that was filling as well as tasty. They also have a nice kosher selection if that is important.I highly recommend going here.

Ive enjoyed everything Ive gotten here with one exception- their rugelach is dry. Its a shame because I adore rugelach! However the knishes, pastrami, and bagels all make up for it. Its one of my go to spots when Im in the area.

Ordered a bagel with cream cheese and bacon and an everything bagel sandwhich, we waited about 30 minutes even thought we were the only people in the store, simply because the guys in the kitchen “didn’t see”’our ticket when it came through. Waited 30 minutes for food that looks like it came from McDonalds.

Went for lunch right before closing and got super fast service. Im originally from NY and this is one of the best bagels and lox Ive had outside of NY. Cappachino was pretty good also. Also you can pay with Apple pay directly from your iPhone which is really cool (not Android)

I’m originally from the NYC area and this place is pretty good. The atmosphere was pleasant and the waitress was friendly and courteous. They messed up on our order but quickly fixed the error promptly, efficiently, and were very professional. The food was good, coffee was good. I will defiantly be back

Y’all this food is heavenly! You get so much cream cheese. All the breads are decadent. The homemade raspberry preserves are insanely good. I’ve had the lox bagel, Asiago bagel, and a egg skillet with wheat toast. And the challah French toast! I wanna try everything! I’m so impressed. This food is exceptional

The Bagel! Finally a Jewish Deli that is good in Memphis!!! Walking in, you feel like you are transported into New York, all of the smells of toasted bagels waft into your nose, the perfect way to start your morning! The lox was on point, shipped fresh from New York! The owner, Rebecca, was so sweet and you could tell how much pride she has in her restaurant. It makes you want to return over and over just to try everything on the menu! This place definitely gets the Mrs. Excellence stamp of approval!!!

The best bagels around and one of the best breakfasts in all of Memphis. Definitely a go to on the way to work and on the weekends. Delicious!

Average at best. Service was slow and I ordered a bacon and egg bagel and they forgot the bacon. I attempted to order an ice coffee and had to stop the lady in her tracks before she added ice to hot coffee, so I went with hot coffee (which was horrible). More concerning is the amount of plastic this place uses to package their to-go orders is egregious- it’s a bagel...wrap it in some type of sustainable product and call it a day. I suggest taking a trip to NYC to figure out this whole bagel thing.

Since reopening., the service and food have gone down. The bagel I had yesterday was hard and could not be eaten. I asked for toast and it never arrived. The previous establishment - City East Bagel was better. I will not be returning.

The Plain and Onion Bagel were fresh and the Lox (and Chive) Shmear is DELISH!

The food is absolutely incredible and its perfect for a quick bite. I really enjoyed their black and white cookies (super fresh) and their bagels are REALLY flavorful. We like the Asiago bagel with the chive cream cheese if youre feeling savory!Other than that Id definitely make some time and indulge in a potato latkes. They are really rich but totally worth it.Customer service is really friendly and so far Ive always been in and out pretty quickly.

Went during Sunday brunch. They lost our reservation, I had to find it on their note pad, so we missed our table seating. Food took 35 mins to arrive and it was lukewarm. My husband was served ice cold coffee. I’m from NYC and would not recommend this place. We’re not returning.
