DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR REPAIR. I have never had a worser experience with an auto shop. I took my car in to get an oil leak fixed and an oxygen sensor changed out. It end up costing $2.1k which would be okay if they fixed the problem. The mechanic, Eric insured me that my car was fixed, running great and the engine light was off. When I picked up the car the first time, it cut off on me as soon as I made it down the street. Not to mention, the oil was still leaking. I gave them a second chance. The next time they kept my car for almost 3 months. Every week I would call and they tell me the same thing. “We are about to work on the car tomorrow”. After the shenanigans, I picked up the car and the engine light is still on and my car still cuts off. Not to mention, when I left the shop, it had no water or oil in the vehicle. It was bone dry. The sorry mechanic even admitted to not checking out the car thoroughly. At this point I’m fed up. No compensation was offered for my troubles and terrible service

I spent the better part of 4 months goin back and forth with BMI over a missfire and check engine codes on a 2014 5.0 F150 under a powertrain warranty. Up front they are friendly, but when it came to the actual repair I, personally, was let down. Initially they told me that i needed a new engine, so i said go for it. When i went to pick it up they told me i had also needed a new radiator too because they had dropped the engine on the old one. I understand, and make mistakes all the time too, so i let it go. But then after driving out of Memphis, ive got check engine lights flashing and power loss. I live 100+ miles out of memphis, and its not easy to just take it right back to them. So when i do take it back, they said the injectors were clogged and they cleaned them out and its running fine now. I go to pick it up and its the same problem. So i took it back and they tell me they dont see anything wrong with it and it just need to be drove a little.. i drove it back to them with it missing the entire time and they still didnt know what it was. So after doing this a few times i let my mechanic friend hook a laptop up to it and check it out. He realized that the new engine needed new spark plugs and 2 new injectors. Had it fixed in 3 hours.. its just hard to see how BMI couldnt find something like that. I had full faith in them in the beginning. But by the end, i would have been more surprised if they had actually fixed anything other than what they messed up themselves.. i should also add that they installed a bad oil pan gasket and it leaked too. I gave them 5 chances(weeks or months at a time) to get it right and they STILL let me down. I honestly didnt want to have to leave a review like this, but they really left me no choice.

Very honest mechanics I wouldn’t go anywhere else but BMI! As a female, I am always fearful of getting taken advantage of when it comes to getting work done on my car but I have no fears with this locally owned business. Brian Massey always shows me exactly what is wrong with my car and does a full inspection to make sure fluid levels are good, tire pressure, etc.

Thank you very much for looking after us. My car driver front spring broke and the great folks from bmi squeezed us in. Matter of fact, the car was fixed a lot faster than we had originally expected.We are now able to head back home as we originally planned to do.Thank you for your generosity! Well deserved!

John was super friendly and explained everything to me. It’s hard to find someone straightforward and honest and does quality work on cars. They are tucked away at the dead end of Elmore But well worth it. I feel completely comfortable leaving my car there and I knew they would do quality work.

Very disappointed. Spoke with Johnnie and he let me know that turbocharger needed to be replaced and an oil leak was the cause. He initially said that the lower oil pan was leaking and need to be replaced which including the turbo work would cost $3,000. He also stated that the upper oil pan could be leaking as well which could cost up to $10,000. I asked him if he could confirm if it was only the lower because could not afford the upper and what sense would it make to fix the lower and upper needs replacing as well. That wouldnt solve the problem. He puts me on hold and checks with the technician and comes back and says only the lower needs to be replaced. I get the lower placed with the turbo, and pay them $3,000. And of course by the time I get it home it is leaking just as much as before. I in turn bring the car back up there and the first thing Johnnie wants to tell me, remember when I said it could possibly be the upper oil pan? I said yes but you confirm with me that it wasnt. Then at that point you wanted to say it was something totally different and wanted to run an additional estimate on me do some sealing a day after I just paid $3,000 for something that was not fixed. So I guess since you knew you could not get $10,000 out of me you could at least get $3,000. I had such high hopes with the service being so nice but just not very truthful. Im a very disappointed customer that was left with an unfixed car and a $3,000 debt. Hope your business continues to be lucrative for you.

My coworker took her car to BMI and to be repaired and was charged $1000. She left the lot and car quit again for the same reason that she took it to be repaired for. Now her car is back at BMI and they are charging her an additional fee for something that should have already been fixed.....

Went with my son to shop for cars. This was our first time to visit BMI Memphis. Worked with John and Anthony. Wonderful service with no pressure. Got a great car for a good price. They made everything easy and smooth. Would definitely recommend them to anyone hunting for a good used car. Far superior to every other place we visited.

I dont have time right now to post the dissertation about this 1-star rating, but I stand by it.In May 2017, my husband took our car there for repairs, on the recommendation of our pastor.Many of the expensive things they supposedly did have since had to be done (again?).To answer the owners response, it is right place....I checked and double checked before posting the rating. The info I checked came from our paid invoice.I will give details later.

This is a jewel in the rough of used car dealers. Anthony and his staff are honest, and customer friendly people who work hard to make the purchase of a vehicle smooth and easy. I would highly recommend BMiMemphis to anyone looking to purchase a pristine, certified, pre-owned Lexus. Anthony does everything to help you get into the car you want. The paperwork is minimal and they offer an extended warranty that is purchased on site and can be financed. One of the salesmen said that Anthony only buys cars that he would buy for himself. Wow!, where do I start? I was on my way to my nephews baseball game when my 2005 Chrysler Sebring started over heating at the intersection on Elmore Rd. Luckily for me the owner of BMI Memphis pulled up behind me. Eric (the owner) had an extra jug of water in his truck and helped me fill the radiator. When we got to the shop he fixed all my problems . New Radiator, new thermostat, and new hoses. He got me back on the road ASAP! I was able to make it to my nephews game thanks to BMI Memphis!
