Good restaurant inside selling some of everything, rice and beans, yellow rice, chicken, pork, ribs, sausage and fish, also has a bakery 🧁. I got chicken with black beans and rice, and a side of plantains. Also, bought cinnamon roll from the bakery.

Most of the staff was very friendly and i love to shop here but what i witnessed today was unacceptable. At checkout there was a young man that was obviously new working there and the bagger was training him. She was so incredibly rude to him right in front of us! He needed help scanning a few of the items as they didnt have bar codes. She was degrading to him and very rude. At one point she even asked him DOES THAT LOOK LIKE A SQUASH TO YOU!? when he was obviously just trying to learn how to work the register better. I left feeling very sad for him and anyone else who has to work there.

Lake Washington Thrifty Specialty Produce & Meats (to go meals) needs to realize that customer have a time limit with there lunches and for you to provide a single line to check out with your lunch is absurd when you have 7 lines with cashier doing nothing but collecting free money from your establishment. Your ROI has to be in the tubes at this rate and not only losing customers from coming in to buy a meal on the fly. Dont get me wrong you can spend your money anyway you like but you can keep more people with honey than to sending them to your competitors for a quick bite to eat. Shame on the manager that says thats a policy and does not understand the logic of business. Good luck, hope someone take the time to digest this information and get with the program as thing now a days are tough

Not sure how well they are keeping up with Covid-19 guidelines. Nice produce selection, prices vary. You need to know the market prices otherwise youll over spend on certain items, losing the savings on others. Havent ever been thrilled with their meat/seafood selection. Dairy & eggs arent a good buy here.

STAY AWAY THE HOT FOOD HERE IS NASTY. IM TELLING YOU FROM THE LAST 5 EXPERIENCES. This was the change I received from the cashier working on 08/1/2021 around 11 am. As you can see they do not care so why should I jus Wow.

After trying both Trifty stores .I found the one on Merritt Island had the freshest produce.

Love their food but the only thing is I was waiting for my order one day and I seen a cockroach run across their food station.

Good prices on produce, but looked like there was some quality issues. Had to dig through the onions, scallions, and potatoes to find ones without some kind of mold or some nastiness on it.

Chicken looks yellow and Ive had to throw a whole trey (though In date!) out before bc the meat outright stank.Most produce is cheap and good, but Id stay away from the meats and sea foods.Ive also stood in front of the hot counter/ pastry counter for several minutes, every time Im being looked at, but nobody cares enough to ask me what I want.If it werent for the inexpensive specialty items I like to get there, I would not even award 3 stars.Surprised theyre okay and operating with the health hazards (yellowing smelly meats).

The things in the store are not all that great and the price of the things are the same not great every time when you go to the store on the Shelf they have the price for the items but when they ring it up its a different price and when you get home and check your receipt you have to bring back the item because its not the price the is on the self people I dont have the time to be going back and forth if its not necessary and I know thats what you want just to give up and dont bring back what Ive done and that is not right so do something about it and check your price in the computer

Safety isnt a number one priority... watch him use a unsecure cart to shelf items.. he confirmed it was locked/fastened when he pulled himself down the aisle while still standing up on cart.

Found items easily, the store was clean and items were organized better than most stores I have been to.

I just love this place,always great fruits and vegetables and really good prices on everything you need. They also have great hot plate lunches if you like Latino food.

Clean efficient and nice. The butcher counter is open till 1700 and always has good cuts of meat. The staff is very nice and the shelves are always full. Their prices cant be beaten and their produce selection is large and fresh.

If you purchase meats you had better weigh it...I was shorted over 2lbs from 3 packages of meat...all the manager said was, oh, sorry. Makes their price per pound go way up, Publix is less expensive

Not everything is fresh but some deals are worth the discounts. Meals from the prepared foods are a big portion for the price. Be warned they do not enforce mask wearing even though they have a sign at the entrance. Was just there Tuesday during lunch rush and saw a group of 7 customers waiting in line with no masks on.

I went there for the first time, but so disappointing that the food was not good. Rice was hard the pork chops were distasteful no flavor at all and so dry I couldn’t process it. Will never buy food there again.

Thirfty is a great place they have just about everything you could want went there and got nice ripe pineapple, avacados, pork, steak, chicken, and all types of vegetables all fresh oh and they have all kinds of seafood, lb. of head on lg. shrimp for 2.99 lb. Great deal.

This place has what I need BUT THEY CLOSE BEFORE THE REAL TIME.. They said they close at 8pm I went 3 times and all those 3 times was 15 or 10 minutos with time on my hand and the man I guess he is the manager or supervisor or whatever close the door on me even though It was 10 and 15 minutes before 8 like are you kidding me.!

Shopped on a Sunday so the fruits and vegetables were not up to par. I did go to the meat department and requested a larger piece of meat that was not available on the counter and was happy I was able to get what I needed. Good customer service. Go early during the beginning of the week during the day for the freshest fruits and vegetables. Also their cooked Latino food sells out fast and is delicious

We love Thriftys. Having lived in the Kansa City Suburbs for 50 years we havent been exposed to the awsome ethnic selection of foods. We see something new and exciting everytime we visit. Plus the Deli is a great place for a quick lunch or dinner. We love Thriftys.

Great locally owned businesses (Florida based). I get most of my meats and vegetables here. Prices are low and sales make it even better. There hot food is great and they always have a larger selection. I am here at least once a week.

Great place to buy Latino food at great prices. Staff are always busy but working, not fooling around like other thrifty shops where Ive been. Cashiers are always attentive to customers.

I do not write reviews, unless the service was exceptional or less than BAD. I went to purchase rib roast from the meat counter. While waiting close to 20 minutes (17 to be exact), I was NOT acknowledged by the only meat cutter, while he was waiting on a one Spanish speaking woman who was buying two pork roasts.It is not acceptable to disregard a customer A simple “Hi” or “i will be with you soon” is not difficult to say. He made eye contact with me and I DID say Hi, but not reciprocated.I was totally ignored, when I began walking away, he spoke to another customer who’d just walked up to his counter.... Maybe I did not fit into his type of people.The color of my skin or language I speak should not played down in this situation. Having lived many years outside the USA, I am fully aware ofdiscrimination. I will never frequent Thrifty Produce again. Their prices are not cheaper than other grocery stores or privately owned meat markets. I may not speak Spanish or have darkened skin, but I speak English and French. SAD to say, but this was discrimination. Discrimination is very much alive and goes many ways. (For those thinking I’m a white man, I’m of mixed races).

First time going there, had much higher expectations lol...if I may start off with I am not bilingual I speak English and there was one lady that was nice enough to help me but I felt alienated to say the least, it’s ok to not speak English OF COURSE but don’t give a customer a dirty face and run off if you can’t understand them. The only question I had was what are their prices and they wouldn’t tell me, so I figured it’s priced by weight...which it is...I really feel like I was taken advantage of being as I couldn’t understand the girl preparing my lunch and she packed everything heavy on there...like way too much it was obvious they were trying to get more money out of me than I intended. Ive got bad social anxiety and I’m not one who can speak up so easily, so my advice is hire someone who speaks English (even if it’s not their first language) so English speaking customers can have a satisfactory experience too. Otherwise, you make your store seem very noninclusive and can drive away good customers!! The food was awesome I just wish I didn’t have to pay 10$ especially when I took the whim to try this local business instead of McDonald’s....listen to your customers of all kinds, we are not walking wallets just because we are at a disadvantage. Nice people! Generous portions on the hot Buffet line. They should think seriously about installing a soda fountain machine for soft drinks. That would be high profit for them! Especially if they had sugar-free soft drinks available.

Thrifty is Awesome. Great prices. Very nice staff. If you havent tried their hot food section yet... get the pulled pork meal with rice and maduros... I get black beans with mine.

I normally go to thrifty once or twice a week, first Aldi for all my dry goods, bread, snacks, milk and then to thrifty for my meat and produce. They have a large selection and I am a fan of the prices. The last few trips however have not been so good, the produce I got was bad in a few days, I bought two bags of apples and had to throw some out right after getting home because they had already started to turn. The meat was not good either, when I opened the package to cook it had an odd smell to it and didn’t smell fresh, The other meat looked fine but once I cut it up for the stew the majority of it was pure fat. I may be taking a brake because even tho I’m saving money the quality is not good right now.

Yesterday I was buying vegies at this store. Red onions were listed as 2/$3 with each packet weighing 2lbs. I checked the weight on the scales placed within the store. It all came out less than 2 lbs. Ended up having an argument in the store that they are selling underweight items. Should they be reported?

They are price gouging in a time of crisis. I watched them dump out bags of the cheapest potatoes and sell them for 99 cents a pound and all the fruits went up by a lot shame on you and I will be reporting this to the Appropriate people. SHAME ON YOU 😢
