We live in a 1931 home and had cabinets rebuilt 20+ years ago, but the cabinet and door fronts had faded and cracked. We needed quality refacing and good advice on funky spaces. Leanne at American Wood Reface was amazing at giving a quote on our job - knowledgeable and with good ideas. We replaced maple with a rich cherry wood - NO laminates. They do custom design and provide quality carpenter on site (Pat is fantastic!), all for a better price than other reface companies that use lower quality materials (we got other quotes). Also good follow up service and communication. We had to wait a few months to get on their schedule but worth the wait. We love our updated kitchen and highly recommend American Wood Reface!

I considered painting my outdated kitchen cabinets, but decided to reface instead after seeing a flyer ad for American Wood Reface and doing a little research. Refacing allowed me to update the cabinet style as well as the finish. This was literally the best decision I ever made for a home renovation project. From initial contact, to completion of the project, this company was organized, professional, and so very easy to work with. They were promptly responsive to every question and request.My salesperson, Melissa, was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and patient. My carpenter, Derek, was incredibly skilled and delivered perfection. Dust in the house was minimal to none, and Derek even left his workspace in my garage cleaner than when he started. I had a relatively large job, including many kitchen cabinets and one built-in family room cabinet, and it was begun and completed on schedule and exactly as promised.I chose ballet white for the cabinet finish, a soft white, which totally transformed my kitchen. Ten weeks later, I am still in awe of the beauty and and craftsmanship in these cabinets. I never imagined my kitchen could be so stunning.On a 5-star rating scale, I give American Wood Reface 10 stars. If you are planning to obtain multiple estimates on your kitchen refacing job, dont even bother. Just hire this company. No one else could possibly match the quality, craftsmanship, integrity, and service that American Wood Reface delivers.

Refacing of Kitchen Cabinets - I have to start this review by saying I am 100% positive that American Wood Reface is by far the best company I have ever contracted with from start to finish. I have done a number of home improvement projects and no other company has ever exceeded my expectations every step of the way like American Wood Reface. Let me explain.My initial meeting with them was at our home. I expected it to be another high pressure situation where you only get the deal of a lifetime if you sign today and that is after wasting 2 hours of my time. This time though it was different. Ron did a great job of keeping my wife and I engaged, keeping the project about our needs and wants, and then delivering with a vision that had us very intrigued. My wife and I kind of looked at each other in a this is too good to be true kind of way and we were waiting for the disappointment to come as Ron was putting together his pricing. Well, well, well.. Ron shocked us. Not only was the pricing in our range (he never once asked about this), but he also provided the best price out of all the companies we previously met with about this project. He also had the superior product and service in our opinion. It seemed like a dream come true. Ron did not pressure for a deal that day and wanted us to think it over and give him a call if we were interested since we were still mulling our options.About a week later, we signed with Ron to move forward with our project. We selected our hardware and stain color. Did I mention they are the only company we met with that actually uses real wood for every part of the project? They remove all the cabinetry expect the shell and replace with custom sized real wood doors and drawer faces, dove tailed wood boxes, and slow close hardware. Additionally, there was no need for a down payment as they only collect upon project completion and us being 100% satisfied with the job. I was surprised by this as well, but this aligned with all the reviews I read about them being focused on customer satisfaction. Now I can be a bit of a pain about wanting things now. They were booking out months in advance, but we had my daughters birthday coming up and my wife really wanted the kitchen to be done by then. They made an exception for us and scheduled us right before that date in order to satisfy us. Again expectation exceeded.When the first day came for the project Pat was at my home on time. He worked for almost two weeks, was on time everyday, and cleaned up meticulously everyday. The most impressive thing about Pat is that he took pride in his work and definitely wanted to make sure we were satisfied. I truly appreciate his work ethic and expertise he displayed by not just doing the job, but making sure that every corner was flush, every line was straight, and the craftsmanship wowed. Expectation exceeded.When it came time to pay, I wrote Pat a check and off he went. Our kitchen looked fantastic and really feels like it is custom. It is everything we wanted and more. This company is top notch!! Now let me share a few final thoughts for you that may help in your decision making process.1. They are true carpenters. They will customize whatever you need done. We changed out a few cabinets for big drawers. We asked that 4 drawers be removed and a garbage pull out be put in. We changed one cabinet to an open spot with dividers for cooking sheets.2. There was very little up-selling. They included almost every part of the project. Crown molding and base board molding and trim are included.3. We had an issue with our stain when the product originally was delivered to the house. It did not match the stain we wanted. The warehouse manager came to our home at least 4 times the same day with different stains they continually remade for us until they got it right. Then went back and fixed every piece of wood. You cannot put a price on that kind of customer service.4. They have a lifetime warranty. I hope I never need it but at least I know they are there if I need them.

We had a bathroom vanity refaced (in white) and American Wood Reface did an excellent job. Their products are high quality and the installer was very professional and did an excellent job. Their sales presentation are very informative but there are no sales pressure tactics. Communications before, during and after the job are excellent. After our experience with the bathroom vanity, we will be having American Wood Reface come back to reface our kitchen cabinets and we prefer their all wood refacing techniques as well as their selection of woods and finishes as well as hardware. If you are considering a cabinet refacing project, I strongly recommend that you check them out and compare their products with the competitors!

Beyond our expectations. Our salesperson Ron, gave us excellent assistance and direction. We never felt pressured or hurried. The carpenter, Brandon, was total perfection from workmanship to cleanup. All persons were respectful to us and our home. Customer service was great and stayed on top of everything. We plan on using them again for other projects, and I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone.

We used American Wood Reface to remodel the kitchen in our newly purchased Condo. From our first interaction with Leanne, it was a positive experience. We were her last appointment on a cold and snowy night, yet she was pleasant and professional, and made suggestions that we hadnt thought of, which made our space that much more desirable! Terry was a pleasure to work with as well, even when I made last minute changes to the cabinetry, he listened and help to problem solve. Patrick was our carpenter, he was meticulous in his work, cleaned up after himself everyday, and when the job was slowed a bit by things out of his control, he worked weekends (he asked me if it was ok with me) to make sure the job finished on time. Everyone was professional and a pleasure to work with, and the materials used are quality materials, not cheap material. You get all this great service and materials, yet you dont pay anything until the job is complete. We would most definitely recommend American Wood Reface!

Our experience, from start to finish, was amazing ! We could not be happier with the end result and our decision to use AWR. From our initial appointment with Ron (salesman), who really set the tone for what to expect, and how the process would go moving forward ... to meeting with Terry (measurer) and finally the counter top folks...this kitchen remodel could not have been easier !With all the choices and decisions to be made in a kitchen remodel ....their attention to detail, their thoughtful suggestions, and then simply allowing us the freedom to design the kitchen in our style was amazing -Brandon, our installer, was timely and meticulous in his work. His ability to take existing doors and transform them into great looking drawers really increased our storage ... and amazingly, he did actually clean the entire work area everyday before he left !If you want a new kitchen, without replacing your existing cabinets, you must give them a call -Everyone who had seen our kitchen before the remodel, has been nothing short of blown away by the finished product !

He was very precise and very neat. My cabinets were done professionally and look very high end.The 3 drawer fronts on my peninsula were wrong sized. Brandon immediately re- ordered and midified the wrong ones to work until the correct ones came in. Anthony completed them today. Would highly recommend this company

AWR refaced our kitchen cabinets and replaced our drawers with all-maple components and soft close features in July 2018. Leigh Ann was our representative. she did a great job and was very patient in showing us the choices for remodeling. Scott did the work superbly. High quality products, workmanship, and service. We had a minor problem with one of the drawers post-remodeling (faulty soft-close) which was fixed timely. We highly recommend AWR and will use them again should we do further interior remodeling.

We used American Wood Reface for refaced cabinets and new countertops this summer. Everyone who has seen the cabinets has commented about how youd never know they werent replaced. From the beginning of the process to the end, everyone was friendly and kept their promises. The salesperson (Ron) was helpful in explaining the process and didnt pressure us to make a decision. He was also available after we signed to answer questions and keep us up to date on the install date (which changed due to COVID). The installer (Branden) showed up each day when he said he would and cleaned up after finishing work each day. It was nice to only be without a sink for a day and never without the ability to cook each evening. If you are considering refacing (which was nice for us because we didnt want to change the footprint of our kitchen), Id recommend talking to AWR.

I would highly recommend American Wood Reface if you are considering refacing your cabinets. They did an outstanding job of my kitchen remodel from the beginning phases through to the very end. Helpful assistance was provided with color and wood selection from their vast amount of inventory selections. The installer Terry was very professional, knowledgeable, patient and willing to listen to me during the installation. He left me with a small bit of paint for future use and other related items which have come in handy.

This company was great. The salesman Ron Ipavec was wonderful to work with- no pressure and great ideas.The carpenters were the best. Very meticulous and worked hard; always on time and cleaned up everyday- we were able to cook dinner and have breakfast. They even cleaned up the garage.Loved that they did not want pay until the work was done.Had one sticky drawer about two weeks after completion and they were out in two days to fix it.We are a Gay couple and very proud of our home. From the initial in home consultation/quote to final install they were fantastic! I love the fact that they bring the samples to your home so you can actually see what they look like in the space. We got tile backsplash, countertops and cabinets refaced and it was so nice to have one company do all three of these at a great price. A great company with great people that does great work! They refaced my elderly mothers kitchen and she loves it. It was a total transformation from the dated, oak kitchen she had before. The birch refaced cabinets and brand new birch doors with walnut trim are stunning! The granite countertops are fabulous. They reworked the lower cabinet boxes into drawers that are so much easier for my mom to get into. They even added additional wall and base cabinets on the end and made room for a dishwasher. You would never know by looking that all these changes were made. Its perfectly seamless and beautiful. The installer was a perfectionist and true craftsman. Service is impeccable. Highly recommended!

I just wanted to leave a few comments regarding our carpenter Scott, now that our install is complete.I dont normally enjoy dealing with contractors. They typically have a certain disposition about them that makes them difficult to work with.This couldnt be more untrue about Scott. He was extremely professional. He checked out with us every day to review what was done, and what the rest of the install would look like. Everything was completed on time, and he even held off on a few small things to make sure they were going to be done exactly how we wanted them (handle placement for example).This is the first time weve done a fairly major project in our house. American Wood Reface, and Scott in particular, worked to make it as painless as possible.
