I had a great experience with Matt at Towne Auto Sales. They are very friendly and get to know you personally which was great. It is a father and son owned business and they are both very great guys. They got me in my vehicle with no hassle and got me driving off the lot the same day! i would highly recommend this place when getting a new or used car.

Matt Johnson over at Towne Auto Sales (the new location on corner of Lake and Lafayette) was a pleasure to do business with. I had a very low budget to work with when looking for a truck, found the vehicle on-line, and he was able to provide me with all the information I asked very quickly. Communication was great and there was never any sales pressure. After working at a dealership for years, I am familiar with the whole process, and Matt is a straight shooter, kept his word, and always made me feel like helping me was his primary concern. I would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from Matt and Towne Auto Sales.Thank you Matt again for everything, you are a genuine nice guy and I wish nothing but the best for you and your organization.

I went in to Towne Auto Sales with a family friend who had just had his vehicle stolen a few weeks back and was in desperate need of transportation. Ironically, the vehicle was stolen from a church parking lot while my friend was inside doing ministry for the church. God was looking out for him however, because we were led to Towne Auto Sales where we were treated like family. The owner, Chris Johnson, had several vehicles on the lot that fit my friends budget and desires. The vehicle he choose was immaculately detailed and we gave it a test drive. There was a minor knocking noise which the owner took care of at no charge. My friend was completely satisfied with the professionalism of everyone there and with their desire to go the extra mile to make sure we were well-taken-care of. I should say that they went the extra miles because they drove the car to my friends house where it waited for him in his driveway when I drove him back home later that day.I couldnt have been more pleased with the service, professionalism, and treatment we all received. The lot was fully stocked and I guarantee you will not waste a visit there because if they dont have what you want, Chris Johnson will go that extra mile to find just what you are looking for. Hes that kind of man. Thank you, Mr. Johnson, for making this experience a most enjoyable one. In a day and age where everyone is so skeptical of buying used cars, you run your business with honestly, integrity, and compassion. We experienced that firsthand.

Buying a car is a daunting task but Towne Auto Sales helpful and knowledgeable staff made it a much easier and more enjoyable experience. With a wide selection of cars and good customer service I was able to walk a way very happy. While working with sales person, Matt, I never felt pressured to make a decision I wasnt completely ready to make. My experience here was a pleasure (as far as car buying goes) and I would recommend anyone to stop here first in their search for the perfect car!

Stay away from this place! They are nothing but liars! Said they would have problems fixed in my car and they were not...Finally just accepted the fact they were shadyI had the car looked at by someone who KNEW what they were doing and there were many more problems that they did not tell me about ... town auto did try to fix one of them but did not do the job correctly! They lied not once but twice about having it fixed-they cleared the codes for check engine light to not show- car would not shift out of first gear.. only had car 2 days ... only reason they knew and I went there was cause the dang car broke down right in front their shop...- when they said they did a tranny flush on it... all they did was suck out the fluid and then put the wrong fluid back in it! I did it the right way and put the right fluid In and did not have problems with that issue again.-electrical problems still dont know why-replaced many parts of this car-car drove crooked.. have to replace tires more than normalAnd many other problemsI get buying a used vehicle will have issues but for them to say there was nothing wrong when they clearly knew there was is sick! They also got us for the there is someone else who is about to buy this vehicle line tooJust be careful if you do decide to buy a vehicle from them.

Matt Johnson is the person to see at 999 Lafayette Road in Medina. Gave me a super deal on a Corvette. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. The best thing I like about them is that they let you test drive the vehicle by yourself to let you make an honest opinion about the vehicle youre buying. A little off the beaten path for me but well worth it. Kudo Matt to you and your staff, customer service still alive and well in Medina.

How to Buy a Car Without Proof of IncomePeople who are self-employed or work on a freelance or temporary basis often have a difficult time providing proof of income. They do not have the pay stubs, income tax returns, or other available methods to verify their income. This can hinder people from getting loans to buy things like houses and cars. When buying a car, unless you can pay for it in full, you will need to get a car loan. Most lenders will ask for employment verification. Buy a car without proof of income by choosing a lender who will take other financial factors into consideration.1 Choose a reputable lender. A number of lenders specialize in making loans to people who do not have the assets and proof of income available to get traditional loans. Before applying with them, check with your bank, credit union, or other credit companies you work with. Financial institutions who know you and your ability to pay your debts might be willing to work with you on a car loan.2 Have a down payment. Your down payment will probably need to be larger than if you had income that can be verified. The amount required will depend on your lender and the strength of your credit score. Expect to make a down payment that is sizeable enough to prevent the amount you owe from being more than what the car is worth.3 Offer an attractive trade-in. If you do not have enough for a cash down payment, offer a car as a trade-in that still has a lot of value.4 Provide other financial statements or collateral. Even without the ability to prove your income, you might help a lender be more willing to make you a car loan if you provide other financial statements that reflect your overall worth. Offer bank statements that show what you have in savings, tax records that show what you are capable of earning in a year, or deeds that show you own other property and assets.5 Negotiate the interest rate. Lenders specializing in making loans without proof of income will often charge a larger interest rate than they would on traditional loans. This information is often buried in the fine print of your loan or contract, so be sure you understand exactly how much interest you will be paying on your car.6 Check your contract and paperwork. Before you sign a contract to buy the car, or agree to take a loan, read everything carefully, and ask questions about anything you do not understand.

Theres a reason why this place has amazing reviews! I went in there with barely any proof of income, poor credit history, and a very low down payment and Matt at the 999 Lafayette Rd location in Medina made it happen. He wasnt pushy at all and very honest. After being told no time and time again by different loan agencies, he finally was able to find one that approved me. He spent hours trying to get a deal that worked and I ended up driving off in my dream vehicle, a dodge charger, that same day! Ive had no issues with this vehicle. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Trust the bad reviews. I had very negative experience. This car lot post cars that they do not have on the lot. You know the ones that are to good to be true. Read -- the positive reviews and you tell me that the reviews are not from their friends. I like the review.. Well, the staff is friendly and the place is clean. When you go there .. it is a small little office with one guy working. Then you decide which reviews to trust.

My husband bought a car for me here in the spring of 2014. We were expecting our first child in less than two weeks, and were anxious to get a car that would be safe and reliable before the baby got here. After picking one, he asked the sales associate if there had been anything done to it recently or if it needed anything done. This associate, Russ, looked my husband in the eye and told him, no. My husband test drove the car and when it all appeared to check out, he purchased the car. He didnt even make it 30 miles home before the check engine light came on. It turns out the catalytic converter was bad and needed to be replaced, meaning the car we just bought and were told had nothing wrong would not pass an e-check. The part was quoted as costing between $500-900 dollars to have fixed. The check engine light was obviously reset to get the car off the lot, but when my husband called the dealership to find out what story was, Russ was incredibly rude and claimed to have no knowledge that anything was wrong. The conversation continued to escalate, with the dealer swearing at my husband and acting in a completely unprofessional manner. When we reported the dealership to the better business bureau for our experience, Russ then called my husband while he was at work and cussed him out a second time, calling him names and telling him he needed to act like a man and not report them. He claimed that nothing could be done to them because they dont follow the better business bureaus protocol and hung up on my husband. I have never had a more unprofessional, disappointing and downright SLEAZY experience with a professional. It added a huge amount of stress to an already stressful situation and was not something I was expecting to do, scrambling to tie up all these loose ends before the baby arrived. We put all the extra money we had into getting the car, not expecting to have to scrape up all the extra money to get things fixed that we were lied to about. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WE HAD WITH RUSS AND TOWNE AUTO SALES IN MEDINA. Please do not trust them and go somewhere with a more reputable track record and better customer service.

Wish I didnt have to give them even one star, this place is despicable.I bought a car from Rusty at the end of September. When we got it home we discovered that the drivers seat was not attached, the track on one side needed to be replaced -- huge safety issue. I called Rusty and he said to bring the car in and he would have someone take a look at it.I wanted to bring the car in on a Saturday to get looked at but he said no one would be available to look at it on a Saturday. I brought the car to him on October 10th, he confirmed that the seat was unattached and said he would order a new track. On November 14th, my temporary tags were expiring and I still had not received a call about the new seat track nor had I received my memorandum title in order to get my new permanent plates. Rusty said he would issue me a new temporary tag because he was still waiting on the title to get to him, and that the new car seat track had to come all the way from Florida and was 2 days away.About 2 WEEKS later I called him again about the car seat track and got the same response as before It has to come all the way from Florida and its 2 days awayFinally on January 21st, I left Rusty a message saying when I would be available for him to make the fix happen because I had been more than patient up to this point. He never returned my call and only answered after the 3rd time I called him the next day. While setting up a time that week for them to put the new track in I said, How about you throw in a free oil change to which he instantly took offense (his voice changed from typical salesman to verbal abuser) saying How about you ASK me for one and I might CONSIDER itI dropped my car off a little after 9 am on the 25th for what he said would take a couple hours, my 3 yr old and I were going to hang out at a few close by stores while we waited since it was supposed to be a relatively quick fix. At 2 pm I went back to the dealership, my car was no where to be seen, he said he thought I had gotten a ride even though he knew we were walking across the street in 30 degree weather. He offered a car for me to drive home while my car was still being worked on, said it would take about an hour. The loaner car had a check engine light on and the brakes squealed, so I was not going to drive my son and I the half hour drive home in an unsafe car.We went back to see Rusty a little after 5 pm, he was sitting at his desk talking with a friend or family member and the other salesman, but he jumped up when he saw us pull up and when I walked in he said it will be about 15 min. He had my car for 8 1/2 hours because he wanted to make me wait, there was absolutely no reason the fix wouldve take that long...who does that to a young mother and her 3 year old?

Beware, the salesman will tell you that there are several others interested in purchasing the car you are looking at and will offer to hold the car for a $20 down payment/hold. Once you look at the car they will tell yo that you have one day to decide. If you choose not to purchase the vehicle, they will not return your call and refund your down payment/hold.Always check the carfax with a mechanic, as the salsemen either incompetent with car repairs or have chosen to blatantly lie about the need for them and why the car has certain lights on, etc.The cars appear to be priced well, but there are also issues! Always check the carfax!

I bought a 1998 Camaro from Towne Auto in April of 2012. It was pretty, but thats about all it had going for it. They advertised it with a CD player and Air Conditioning. After looking in vain for the CD player, I realized it didnt have one after all...no big deal though. When it got warm enough to turn the A/C on, I realized that didnt work at all. They sold me a CARS warranty and told me it was only a $100 deductible if I needed to use it. So I used it to fix the A/C in February of 2013. It was a total cost of $300+ dollars (Hmmmmm, wonder where that $100 deductible went.) In April of 2013, when I turned the A/C on, it didnt work. After 6 or 7 trips back to Medina and $30 dollars more, Russ tells me the condenser is bad now and its going cost me another $400 dollars. I told them to forget it and I took my car and left. Also, they DID NOT disclose that the frame was rusting out badly under the car. Im a woman and crawling under cars is not my thing. I found that out when I did my first oil changed with a reputable company. I dont recommend Towne Auto to anyone! And dont let them sucker you into their crappy CARS warranty. There is no such thing as a $100 dollar deductible. Needless to say, I no longer have that car. I was lucky to get out of it what I still owed on it. BEWARE OF TOWNE AUTO!!!

Chris of Town auto is basically family of my boyfriends. Also, the car purchase was mid Aug. And its now Dec 2. Clearly I did not jump the gun. I gave them ample time. So to anyone reading this, take this review seriously. We were promised a safe & problem free car after they serviced it. They even convinced us the CARS PROTECTION PLUS warranty was in our best interest. Credit wasnt the best so Chris got us a loan w/ security auto loans; a high risk loan company that he has alot of stock in. Also, to be clear my boyfriend needed the vehicle, not me, but I offered to cosign. Now I am the purchaser & he is the cosigner probably because I have something to lose; a home. They fudged the numbers to get the loan through. We thought they were just really LOOKING OUT FOR US. We got no deal on the car. We paid $500 less than top BB value & it has more miles than average for its year. NOTHING BUT ISSUES immediately after driving the car off the lot. They couldnt be bothered to even vacuum the interior or program the key fob. I asked RUSSELL if they normally expected customers to program the key fob ($50+) & he said yes. We drove from Parma to Medina 3 TIMES for abs light, traction control light, service engine light, whining, toed in tires, & leaks. Even offered the opinions of our mechanic neighbor as to what the issues could be. RUSSELL was full of crap and RUDE. He told us we arent mechanics, but he used to be. Kept denying noises and leaks. Even brought pictures of our driveway full of puddles. The 4th time magically they heard the whining & saw the leak. After our extended warranty went into effect. Had the AUDACITY to tell us we owed $100 deductible. RUSSELL told us an alignment was done & warranty didnt cover it. I test drove it. I came back & told him it immediately pulled to the left & heard a faint whine still. The guy couldnt be bothered. That was YESTERDAY. TODAY the ABS & TRACTION control lights came back on. Chris passes the buck to Russ then Russ passes blame to Medina auto collision, but all the while it was the SAME mechanic who worked on the car since day 1. Also, look them up on BBB. I know this level of POOR customer service sounds almost unbelievable but trust me its 100% true! Now we have a newborn at home and we are still dealing with this. They dont care about anything but their profit.
