They do a great job in this store. It’s clean and organized. Staff are friendly & efficient. It’s my local spot for dog treats and Bob’s Red Mill.

I was told by some guy standing at the front of the store that I had to leave because I had my 2 pound tiny teacup min pin in my arm, which I have always stopped here with him for years without anyone saying I couldnt shop with him. The managers have seen me many times with my little dog and complemented how cute he is. Whoever this guy is at the door thinks hes a cop, Whos he to throw me and my family out of the store that we shop at all the time and spend money. Now I will not be shopping here again. Im disgusted at how I was spoken to by this guy and in front of my 10 yr old daughter.

Love Job lots can always find things that I use at a good price and find things I never see at other stores. Always have what I need especially if you go when sale on an item is just listed. Its fantastic!! From gluten-free spaghetti to Italian pasta, theres a wide range of dry foods to choose from.

This place is really low priced with name brands too. Dont expect state of the art presentation. Its strictly shopping with as is products. Its fun to go through the store finding bargain after bargain. Not for those expecting to be served by salespeople.Theyll be disappointed. If you find a worker in the store, they will help you tho.

The place is well stocked, clean, and have a diverse selection within each category of merchandise. The staff are knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. There priceing is very competitive. Oh, since I dont drive the MBTA has bus stops nearby.

This store has a problem with pricing. I have ran into pricing issues with this location several times. Today I was buying our new cat a cat stand with a perch and scratch pad. Normally priced at $29.99 that price is lower then most we saw on Amazon so that is a very reasonable price. However right below on the rack was a big yellow price tag that showed this discounted to $19.99 making this a great buy. As we completed our shopping and went to pay I confirmed that the cat item rang in at the correct price and yet again it did not. The young man was happy to go and check and confirm the discount and corrected the pricing. The problem is that if I werent paying attention I would have been over charged this has happened 4 or 5 other times and one of the times the clerk who was an older woman got extremely nasty with me and said that she would not honor the price and that she would not get a manager. Long story short I did get the item at the marked down price. She was angry as the sale was over the day before and she herself wanted the same product at the sale price and was unable to purchase it as advertised. They had not taken the price tag down and on the handwritten tag there was no end date. I explained to her that she also should get the discounted price and said it in passing to the manager that she should also receive the product as advertised. Funny enough was the manager said i was correct she should. I dont know if they did it for her but she was so angry that she basically took her frustration out on the customer ( ME )Again today the young man was very accommodating in getting the price corrected. I will continue to shop there for these little odds and ends that are less expensive then shopping at the Christmas Tree Store but more expensive then a Five Bellow.

Great place to buy snacks. But its a hit or miss. So if you cant find anything, come back in a few weeks.

Store is a little messy7/5/2021The rating changes today when I walked into the store, asked an employee who wasn’t dressed in work uniform if they had air conditioners in stock and where they were located.He explained of course we do, then just pointed towards the other side of the store. They were out of stock, waited almost 25 min to cash out. The cashier ( an older women ) was miserable and wanted to go home. Being a consumer/employee, I have had bad days myself. When I walk into work bad day or not, life is life and I have a job to do.The other store employee’s were just hanging up front chatting away, not even caring that the store looked atrocious. Or the customers needing help..Saw a hiring sign and laughed after that, even with my experience if ocean state job lot offered me 20.00 to manage this store I wouldn’t take it. Due to the fact that the store needs a serious overhaul now.

Why go somewhere else to get exactly what youre looking for at a fraction of the cost!!!

I had no problem locating the items I sought. And the store personel at check out are efficient, warm and kind.

Well the checkout line is not very efficient and they seem to want to process One customer per 15 minutes, I love the deals here and the customers are pretty hilarious.

Looked many places for the Christmas tree stand. Than I thought about Job Lot and, praise the Christmas Boy:Jesus, they had the best price: $6,99. Well done.

They have things that you dont know you need until you get there and they are always reasonably priced.

Doesnt seem very organized, some shelves look thrown into place. Didnt have as much diversity of items as other Job Lots Ive been to. It was meh.

Very short line to get in. Not unexpected. Looking for a kiddie pool. Note: dont wait until its 85 degrees before looking for a kiddie pool. There were none and that section of the store was a picked over mess. Not unexpected. Employees are very nice and very helpful.

Great! I was hoping that they had disinfectant spray, but they didnt have any.

The checkout scene is rediculous. A couple of weeks ago there was one line to the left where folks would wait till the next register would open. Today I waited in what I thought was the line, but witnessed some one go to a register bypassing the 6 or so people waiting to check out. My wife said hey the lines over here, To which they replied no its not, I called in advance. ( What ever that meant.) To top it off, the supervisor was standing by and did nothing at that time. Only after that did he start directing people to various lines. Not sure if its the Covid19 thing but people are starting to act like animals.

Great If you’re bargain hunting if you know what you’re looking for to save money on every day items. Everything from menial stuff, house goods, cans and jars of condiments, etc. Also will come across some deals: five dollar Thermal longsleeve undershirts, fizzy winter pajamas for eight bucks, and more, sometimes find some good stuff and even when it’s questionable if you know basic needlework still a deal.Only downside is rarely do they have enough cashiers on and check out is slow as it is so when you go in don’t be in a hurry.

It is an Ocean State, so it has great prices but this is a nicer cleaner Ocean state than most. Not saying others are bad but go to this one and you will see what I mean... or you wont but either way you will get a good deal if you go.

I was not satisfied with Ocean State Job Lot. In my opinion most of their merchandise is outdated and hasnt been on the shelves in other stores for years. They do have some good deals for basic items such as snow shovels, automobile snow-brushes, space heaters etc. My biggest complaint is their unbearable lines. I have left my shopping behind on my last 2 trips because I had been in line for 10 mins, without any end in sight.

Gotta love this place! Particularly for seasonal items. Lowest prices for the same items found elsewhere. It is a hit or miss so keep that in mind, meaning you cant expect to find any one item, but you can hope and sometimes be pleasantly surprised. Again, think seasonal.

You could find almost everything here from clothing to kitchen appliances. The things I get here at hidden gems and everything is super affordable. Customer service is good and the lines are never too long. When I come here to buy one item, I usually leave with two or three extra items I didnt really need.

Want lightbulbs, art supplies, some ramen, a flannel and a hot tub? Come on down! This place is hit or miss. If you go in for something specific be prepared to spend money on stuff you dont expect to. They have some great deals. But then they have some deals that are so so. But more the former than the latter. I love this joint.

Folks are helpful, prices good. The store itself is filthy! I feel bad for people working there just for the filth factor. Some products in boxes smell of chemicals, are dirty. I always wear gloves when shopping there, very careful in my purchases. I refuse to buy clothing there just for the reasons I mentioned.In the past, even after washing clothes, I got a rash.

Now this place has a lot stuff that you can find for your house good prices and good sales.
