Aamco of Medford should definitely come to mind when you think of transmission repair. A few months ago I purchased my 2014 Jeep Cherokee that unfortunately had a faulty transmission. Once it finally gave I brought it right to these guys based on their great reviews.Max was the main point of contact throughout this unprecedented lengthy process, due to part shortages (NOT Aamcos fault!!).From the moment I dropped my keys off with them I was kept in the loop on anything and everything to do with my vehicle. Unfortunately I am never prepared to dish out such a costly bill. So, being updated regularly with costs is a huge advantage that these guys offer!Lastly, the day I was told my vehicle was done the guys went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. Just to show they care abort their customers, upon taking delivery of my vehicle I was given a voucher for a free car wash as it collected a fair amount of dust for being out of service for so long.Thanks again guys for such a great job. I surely hope this review showcases that you guys are a cut above the rest!

These guys were fairly nice. When my card got declined for a $4,000 transaction they gave me a ride home. But they never once told me that financing was an option. Then, after driving to Portland the transmission blew out AGAIN. Luckily it was under warrantee, so it was free to have it redone. But it took the Portland AAMCO 2 months to fix it. I would not recommend AAMCO, but their warrantee does add value to the vehicle. Nice enough fellas, but they did a terrible job at fixing my transmission.

Highly recommend this shop! Honest and upfront about everything! Max goes above and beyond to get you in and out, dropping knowledge along the way and keeping the bill as low as possible! This is truly a total car care shop. I appreciate you guys keeping me and my family safe on the road.

Ours was a unique and long experience getting our 2013 RAM 2500 Hemi back running right. But Max helped by keeping in touch and updating about the status of our truck. Picked up the truck last week and shes running better than she ever did!! 100% plan on using Aamco in the future.

Max and his machanincs were very helpful they preformed a free diagnostic to find out the issue of my 2012 Toyota camry. They helped us find a used transmission and installed it for me at a fair rate due to the difficulty this car is. Thank you all for your help highly recommended.

They had our car for over a month. If you are looking for a shop to communicate and get the job done timely, this is not the shop to go to. Unfortunately hubby and I found this out the hard way. Lets hope we do not have to return for any warranty work 🤞 we cant afford to be out of a car for that long again. Thank you for finally completing the job though.

I am from NH and was visiting a friend with my wife when my transmission decided to fall apart on me. Max and everyone at AAMCO were absolutely amazing!I went in for a code issue with the transmission. Left with above excellence in customer service. They all knew what they were doing, knew what they were talking about and kept me informed the whole time.Also/sidenote: For years! I kept hearing a noise by the back tires but kept getting told by others that they didnt hear it or that it was nothing. So I gave up trying to get help or solve the jerking noise.Well, these guys! at AAMCO found it without me saying anything at all! Max called to tell me how bad and potentially damaging the UJOINTS were. Now its all fixed for a very affordable cost and I feel safer now more then ever before!These guys are here to help, not gouge your pocket book, so I will from now on always take my vehicles to them. BE CAREFUL OF THIS SHOP! I went in knowing what my problem which was a fuel pump and the manager of the shop told me he thinks I have all these other problems including transmission, steering, suspension and so on, little did he know, I probably have more experience than him on fixing vehicles than him and I just didn’t have the tools because I am just passing through town. So I told him my friend and I would do it ourselves so I can get out of there. So I went to Blueline that listened to me and changed my fuel pump, fuel filter out and solved the problem, just like I told the guy. So if you decide to go to this shop, be prepared to have a lot more problems than your vehicle should have.

Rebuilt transmission for my 1985 GMC C10 and it works awesome!!! Cant say enough good things!

My transmission went out while visiting family in Oregon and was blessed to find Max and his team at the Medford shop. Max and his builder went out of their way to get me back on the road in 5 days after a full rebuild. I am deeply grateful to Max and his team for their professionalism and personal care. I sincerely doubt there is a better transmission service in Southern Oregon.

Most excellent experience! Cant say enough positive words about this AAMCO facility. Pleasant surroundings, great Manager. Go see them. Price/quality of work is beyond words.To find any kind of customer service in this age is always a surprise. I had a transmission situation. Being 69 and on my own. I didnt know what to do, a friend recommended them. I called and talked to Max. By the time I was through talking with Max, my situation was resolved. I learned much from Max, which helped me make tough decisions . I felt like I had drifted off to the heavenly customer service dream. It really was a good experience. :-)

This place was awesome, Max was very helpful and went above and beyond most people in helping and providing me info about my car moreover I felt very comfortable and felt like I wasnt tookin advantage of like most places because Im a girl and unknolagable about my car. AAMCO is for keeps! Our vehicles are older, “AKA Oldies,” with some service needs. Max, front counter man gave me the impression that our oldies have value and scheduled a shop evaluation. Medford shop saved us value from what a different repair (GM) shop offered as needed repairs. We have two safer vehicles with Max’s sincere listening to our needs and the shop watchful car care services. The 2005 GM car needed the transmission rebuilt, and a 1999 GM needed general services repairs to fix oil leaks, radiator flushed, and serpentine belt replacement and assembly repair. Yes, 5 star great car care service. We have a safer feeling having AAMCO repairing both vehicles who care about people and vehicles for safety. Thanks Max and Car Care Shop in Medford Ken Y.

Had my check engine light come on so I took it here and they checked it out for free! They did a great job explaining to me what was wrong and was able to fix it quickly. Will go here again if I have any other problems. They were great!

I needed a new starter put in my dodge charger. I didnt have the tools to lift the car. AAMCO was my 1st call and the helped me out. Its a project car but they even put air in my tires and gave me a free car wash for when my new car is going!! I couldnt thank them enough for all of the help.

I was really grateful that my car was fixed in the time that it was promised and the price was right. But the greatest part was that they didnt treat me like I was dumb because I am a woman! My husband had to work and couldnt be there and we hadnt used aamco before. I was happy with their service and they are now our regular stop for all our car maintenance and repairs!! Highly recommend!!

I was having a transmission fluid leak. I took it in and they were very polite. Max Mora took it in back and checked it. They cleaned it and noticed that the filter was half off. Loose and it was leaking fluid out from the filter. They tightened it for me with no hastle. They didnt charge which i didnt mind paying anyway but it was great. Great people and i am definitely coming here with any car problems i might have in the future. I definitely recommend them 100%.

Max explained what the problem may be with my cars transmission, and after service on my transmission, he was right on! Car was done in the timer frame given. Max also gave me a ride to a car rental facility during the wait time and informed me of an AAMCO discount with the rental agency. Will use AAMCO in the future.

Our nightmare began Monday, May 28th. We had heard great things about this location, so we were confident when we were told our transmission rebuild would be finished that following Monday, so one week.Monday rolls around and they tell us Wednsday for sure. On Wednsday they say Friday, and on Friday they say they are taking off for the weekend, try again Monday. So now we are at 2 weeks on a job we were told would take one.Then Monday comes again. We are told our transmission isnt even in the shop where our van is, but tommorrow ( Tuesday), it will done by closing...... And Guess what?Thats right, it is currently Thursday, June 14th. They have had our van for 17 plus days after quoting 7 as a worst case scenario. We have been told it will be ready by tommorrow 6 times. We have wasted hundreds of dollars on cabs, delivery food, etc. Kids have missed appointments. All due to dishonesty. Had they quoted the better part of a month, we would have said no thanks.......Just bad service. Period.
