Good luck getting a state inspection. Have tried twice this year and always get we are booked until next week and they wont take state inspection appointments. Went to Serednis on 360 and they inspected on same day.

My wife got ran off the road and evidently a rock popped the sidewall of her tire, I live in aylett so I tried several shops on the way down to Mechanicsville finally went into Firestone and it was packed all the bays were full. But the young man behind the counter said let me take a look at your tire found out it had a puncture in the sidewall and I needed a new tire which he sold me a new tire but the thing is is it was pouring down raining they were busy as heck I rolled in there on them and within 20 minutes I was leaving with my wifes new tire to put on her car. So I told the young dude when I was leaving and my truck needs four new tires guess where I will get them from. Good service still means something.

Setting up the appt. was easy online, got a coupon there also. Service was quick and staff was pleasant.

Great customer service, even though they are always busy, they work with your schedule to get you out as soon as possible. All the staff from reception area to techs are great.

Came in before close for a tire since I got a flat. Just caught the only person who could get a replacement ready for me at the last second, Sydnee. She was so kind and helpful and stayed late to take care of us. Thank you so much for everything, we really appreciate your hard work. Firestone, you have some amazing employees at this location.

These guys/girls/team are awesome. My Truck can be a little more challenging than most and they still powered through and took care of it. I used to be a Merchants guy. No longer.

Unfortunately, I originally was sold tires that were for a light truck. Josh made me aware but was able to have someone go to a warehouse near by. I take partial blame for the error, hence the rating. It added another hour to the appointment but I had time and it didnt bother me too much.

We receive car care here at Firestone. The company is always courteous and is customer focused. I have been coming to this location for several years now and trust their work and ability to resolve any of my car care needs. The people who work here take the time to explain things in a way that a non-mechanical person can understand. I will continue to do business with Firestone for many years to come.

It is rare to find any store with even “decent” service anymore. I have gotten 2-3 sets of tires from them and they are always helpful, friendly and timely with their service. Corey is great to work with and they don’t hassle you when price matching tires.

First time customer here, having my tires replaced through a third party warranty company after buying a Vehicle through Carvana. It was a hassle going back and forth with the warranty company, but Sydnee was more than accommodating going back and for with them She was a great help, and did everything to make it work out for me. Would recommend her, and this locations for your auto care needs.

Ive been coming here since they opened. The service has almost always been fast and is always friendly. They helped me find a difficult set of nostalgic wheels for my fathers pickup and gave me a fantastic deal on them.

Went in for two front tires and Alignment, tires were changed but they were unable to do the alignment due to not having the right equipment for my truck. Picked up my vehicle to realize that one hubcap was only being held on by the lug cap because the hubcap clips were broken. I was told that they were broke already when he took it off, but then had the service technician offer me the broken clips as if I wouldnt question how he got those clips if they were broke off already? Now stuck buying new hubcap!

I had 4 tires put on a 2005 Ford Focus. Spoke with Josh and specifically told him I wanted all tires to be dated 2019 or higher. Got home and checked the tires, there were 3 made in 2018 and 1 made in 2019. Just wanted to make you aware that maybe your technician did not get the correct instructions. Not sure what happened. Very satisfied with the service, except for the 2018 tires, which were produced in November 2018.I will still get my tires from Firestone, but will check the date before I drive off.

I have 5 vehicles and 3 of them came in for service this week and customer service was excellent! They did everything I requested and done when promised and very satisfied with service provided!

Ehh, its either a car repair shop, or a tire shop, or to some, both. Kept me on the road for the most part, but there have been times when I have not been completely satisfied with their services, which is typical of most mechanic shops.

From what I can tell pretty decent place. The wife came in for a oil change and rotation. Took care of both in a timely manner. Had to go back for tire pressure being low and with no hassle took care of it and I was on my way. Great job Firestone crew.

Hands down one of the best tire shops in the Richmond metro area. I drive past several other tire places to go to them solely because they give me first class treatment and always deliver with quality service in a timely fashion. They are also very honest with you about what you need and don’t need.

I am new to the area but not new to utilizing Firestone and I must say that I am pretty impressed with this location. I went in because my car was making a weird sound and I knew that it was possibly and issue with my brakes and rotors. It was recommended that I get a vehicle inspection, upon getting that inspection I was presented with about $1,400 worth of work that needed to be done. I was shocked, but honest about not being able to afford all of that work at this moment. But I did ask what was most pressing. After listening intently to my needs and taking into consideration my current circumstance we developed a plan that fit my needs and my current budget. The staff was quick, efficient, and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have been a customer here for the past 6 years and have to say I have always been pleased overall with the service here. I had a 2001 Pathfinder that had a lot of issues over the years and they were always able to fix the issue quickly.I will say that when I take my vehicles in to be serviced here, I always drop it off on Friday and pick it up on Sunday. I know not everyone has that luxury of time to be without a vehicle, but I know they stay busy on weekends and giving them flexibility of the entire weekend makes there lives a little easier too. And lets be real, if you walk in with an attitude they are going to react to that. If you walk in with a smile and say take your time, they are going to relax and make sure its right. Most of the time I get a call on Saturday afternoon saying my vehicle is ready and I have to ask them if they can hold it until Sunday and I can get over to pick it up!There prices arent always great for me, but I know nothing about working on my car and there prices are better than most. I hate having to dish out that much money for a repair, but I have dealt with a lot of mechanics over the years and have been given the run around and bad repairs many times. So I will gladly pay to know they are fixing everything right the first time!I just took my new Outback in over the weekend for an oil change, and they were great. They always do a complete vehicle inspection and give you a list of recommendations for your vehicle(of which yes Im one of the people that usually ignores most of that list. But when they point out some of the big stuff is wearing out its good to know and I can plan when to take it back in.).

Oil change left a horrible scent and my hub caps are greasy or oily

I had an awesome experience at this Firestone! When I walked through the doors, I was greeted by two people who were very friendly and smiling. I didn’t have an appointment, but that didn’t bother them at all. I explained to them the issues that I was having with the car, and they seemed knowledgeable about the issue right out of the gate. When I asked if the mechanics could specifically check on something, the young lady put notes in their system to communicate with the mechanics. They ultimately figured out what the issue was and fixed it up while I was there waiting. They were very honest about pricing, and weren’t pushy at all. I had a great experience and will be making this my go-to place for car maintenance.

Took my car in for leaking fluids (no lights on) and was told it needed a new radiator. $1,200.00 later I picked it up and I drove it out of the parking lot and noticed the check engine light was on (was not on before) and the hood started smoking. Immediately turned back in and the mechanic told me to take it somewhere else.Do not trust them.

These guys were able to help me right away with two new tires. Were not pushy about add-ons or extras, which is always a deal breaker for me.Staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend coming down to see these guys for your car care needs. I will definitely be coming back for more!!

If Danny’s working on your car you might as well keep driving it as it is! Mans charged us for an alignment that, in his words, “we couldn’t finish” resulting in my car falling apart 2 days later.

I never have an issue with this location. The workers are all very friendly and fast moving to get the job done as quick as possible. I never have an issue with dropping my car off and getting it back working just a few hours. I love that they call for the reminders on appointments and even call to give update throughout the day about my car. They never hesitate to explain what is happening in the event I’m unsure what’s going on with my car. Thanks you Bill and your wonderful team!

My experience at the Firestone in Mechanicsville, Va. was very pleasant! All of the employees were professional, yet, very attentive. When my vehicle needs to be worked on again, I will definately bring it back to them.

Inspection completed. Customer service was okay and they were very friendly. Took a little longer than we would have liked but not a huge deal. They did have some service recommendations for us but they were not pushy about it and just gave us a print out with the information.

I came in with a nail in my tire. The service writers were friendly and helpful. I needed a new tire, but as I had road hazard insurance, it was relatively inexpensive. Overall, a good experience.

Staff pleasant enough. Had what appeared to be a roofing nail in my tire. I didn’t want to pull it out to see if it actually penetrated the tire, so I brought it to the Mechanicsville Firestone on 360 across from Lowe’s. I told the initial clerk and then the service manager that I wasn’t sure if it penetrated the tire and asked them the verify. The truck was pulled in, the service manager came in and informed me that because of the location of the nail they couldn’t repair it. So, let’s buy a new tire. I asked for my old tire back. After about an hour, my truck is pulled out with the old tire loaded in the back. I check the tire, the “nail” was still in the tire and after inspecting it discovered it was a small screw that didnt penetrate the tread. So, more time wasted putting tire back on truck. If I hadn’t asked them for the tire back I would have paid for an unnecessary repair. What kind of a “technician” doesn’t verify a fault?

Always very busy, which is a good indicator of how good this shop is for tires and auto repair. Definitely make an appointment! They have a good lobby with a T.V. and free coffee. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Went in for inspection. Got there at 7 on the dot, could not get in the building until 710..they did not unlock the doors. I waited about an hour before they came to tell me my front marker lights were out, and its not going to pass inspection. 77 parts and labor. I said fine fix it. Took another hour to fix it. While sitting in the waiting room I saw two men in the shop getting into what looked like a heated argument, yelling and bickering profanity. Pretty unprofessional, but I understand that stuff happens. Other than that everyone was friendly. I left only to speak to my husband a few hours later, told him about the lights and said I got ripped off, not because the price of the lights but because they were not out, and he is sure of it..... awesome.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Sometimes (depends on who you get) they are very helpful and do right by the customer. Other times they nickel and dime you, charge for otherwise free diagnostic services, dont offer services that should be standard for a tire shop (tire pressure monitoring transfer or repair). Keep selling you tires when they know your rims arent right and the tires are going to wear out quickly because they rub. Granted that last one has been a problem with other tires shops as well and may not be as obvious when you only come in once in a while. For straight forward tire stuff, they are great and competitively priced. I would not recommend them to a friend unless it was just to get tires and there are no other issues.

Had a nail in the tire and had to be at work by 8 AM so I called 20 mins before opening and the manager said he will do his best to get me in and out as fast as he could and it happened. Plus the sales team was fantastic and is willing to price match any new tire price that I can get online. That is huge to me because I am an online shopper and usually save hundreds by buying online.

Bill is phenomenal! I always feel relieved to see his familiar face at the Mechanicsville store. Customer service is his specialty and he provides it with a Thank you, and a smile. A real class act!

Firestone Mechanicsville is my favorite auto service outlet. They do consistently great work that generally meets or exceeds my price expectations. This place is filled with honest, decent people who care about what they do and they do fantastic work. I cant say enough good things about this place!

Got a great deal on tires and inspection. They did an amazing job and took care of my needs and my truck.

Will go anywhere but here (and know several people that agree). They will definitely push for the up-sell on services that you dont need (and probably didnt go in for). Went in for an oil change and tire rotation... left oil plug loose and lost half of the oil either on the drive home or in my driveway, and cross-threaded 2 lugs on the same wheel when reinstalling tires.

Preferably stay if your in for a small fix but besides that reliable and awesome services

This place is great for oil changes and tire changes but thats it. I took my vehicle there for a front end alignment. They said it would be $2,800 worth of work. Took it to my mechanic who I have trusted for years (he is backed up which is why we went to firestone). He said he doesnt need all the work that Firestone said was needed. Give your work to the little guys, they wont screw you!!!!

The upsell factor is crazy And Ive been here going on 2 hours to get just 2 tires mounted and balanced. At this point Im questioning the competency here. The car is still on the lift. The guy has been taking calls and helping new customers just walking in. Im a very patient person but this is pretty sad. This is my first and last time for sure. Save your time. Its worth it not to come here. Sad but true.

I visited this store today for the 4th time to have a headlight repaired. Let me start by saying that Danny, who helped me with the headlight on my 3rd visit, was incredibly friendly. All of the technicians that Ive spoken to there have been awesome. The manager, however, is another story. He refused to listen to the details of my history with a maintenance issue, and instead kept rushing me to either leave the car with them or return for my appointment on Saturday. After spending several hours on this issue, I wanted to be sure they had all the details, since on my last visit there, another employee told me they didnt have a record of all of my visits to the store with this concern. Since I need my vehicle on Saturday when I booked the original appointment, I stopped in to see if they had time to take a look, or if they could give me a heads up of how much time would be required if I needed to wait. I was treated with such disrespect. The manager repeatedly interrupted me, talked over me and said things like, Well if your appointment is Saturday, thats when we have time for you and its probably a good idea for you to take your business elsewhere. He was condescending, rude and disrespectful. I will never return to Firestone again.

Same thoughts as Seth below. Mixed bag. Sell very hard, without regard to needs. Particularly Bill who thought I knew nothing about cars, apparently. That was a mistake as evidenced by his shifting from solution to solution when I challenged him. Pointer: Do not recommend expensive solutions without proper diagnosis and check for fitment.However, they are very good on alignment. Hats off to the guys on the floor who cannot control the sales process.

First of all, got there at 7:15a and left at 9:44a. Went for an inspection and to have my condensation line blown out (called first and told that there was no charge to do this) and asked to have my passenger window that was off track (already knew it was a clip that had broken and not the whole regulator assembly), they came back with a $560 estimate and the recommendation that I replace my battery (just done 1 week ago), oil changed and tire rotation (1 week ago also), I declined. In the end I was charged 15.00 to change a small side light bulb, $45 for looking at the a/c drain line which they COULD NOT FIX AND DID NOTHING, and $55 to inspect the passenger window, confirm what I had already told them, and DID NOT FIX. I have gone to this location since moving to Richmond, even though out of the way, but this is my last visit -- I got an inspection and nothing else for $100!

***STAY AWAY*** I needed to get my radiator replaced. I priced the part at NAPA for $120. The Service guy at this Firestone location told me the part would cost $320. I asked why so high and he said they had to make a profit. I can understand making a profit, I am in business as well. I can understand adding 20-25% for the profit but they were charging about 250% profit on the part. Their cost would have been just under $100 and they wanted to charge me $320 just for the radiator. And another $165 for installation. A total Rip Off. All the while their garage was empty with no cars in the bay. I wonder why!!! They will not be there long if they keep trying to rip people off. Terrible Service.

Cannot recommend Firestone for anything, anymore. Took car in for state inspection. It passed, but they told me the brakes needed replacing (within a month). Cost would be over $700. Took the car to another place. Rear brakes were close, so for $100 they fixed it.

Got new trailer tires, done on time for the agreed price, no surprises.

I trust Dwight & his team with all my vehicles. They are honest & reasonable on price which makes them busy. They are never too busy to fit me in and in-turn I provide them the time that they need to get the job done right.

The service was friendly, but it took 4 hours to put on tires that were ordered the day before and tps sensors that were from next door. The sensors were faulty and had to bring vehicle back next day for another half day. Fortunately we didnt wait for it this time we just came back when done

The people there very professional and polite. They explained everything that needed to be done and delivered on time. A little bit of trouble getting in but it was a holiday weekend.

Today I went into Firestone for new tires on the front of my car - I am a grandmother raising 2 teen grandsons- I had not bought tires in years so I did not really know what to expect. Randy Myers and John Haskins did miracles for me! I was able to get 4 new tires and a new battery with a price I could afford! These gentlemen were more concerned about our safety than the bottom line!!They are truly earth angels dressed as mear humans! I never realized how fortunate I was to not have had a wreck with my precious boys !THANK YOU FIRESTONE FOR WONDERFUL AND CARING EMPLOYEES! 💗

We got a screw in a tire on a road trip passing through Richmond. After calling a few places to see who had our Bridgestone tires in stock in case the tire couldnt be plugged, these guys got us in ASAP to look at the tire. At the same time, they started a runner to bring a replacement tire over from a sister store just in case. In the end, they got our tire plugged and our family back on the road and saved us from having to buy a new tire. We were only set back a couple of hours thanks to these guys. At any other store we were looking at losing a half a day or more. The plug has held for another 800+ miles and counting. Thanks for saving our vacation!

Great friendly company great place to take your car to be serviced

When I called to make the appointment to have my transmission serviced they gave me a price and scheduled the appointment. I called and confirmed my appointment and reconfirmed the amount of time it would take to complete the service on the morning of the appointment. However when I arrived for my appointment I was told that only the dealership could perform the service. This is a repeating pattern for this Firestone. Usually the services take hours longer than they tell you when scheduling your appointment.

I can give them 5 stars in some areas however a 1 star rating in the highest impact area(price!!!!)I came in minutes before closing and they installed 4 tires for me that I provided AND did alignment. Took only 37 minutes to do everything. WOW! Note that I purchased alignments for life which was on sale. So far so good, 5 stars..Then here comes the bill. $330. Note I provided my own tires. $179 for alignments for life. They tried to charge me $11.99 per wheel for valve stem service(my car is less than 1 year old and does NOT need new TP sensors). I brought this to their attention and they knocked off over $47 from the tab with no fuss.. What if I were and elderly person without this knowledge? I likely would have been charged! The bill totaled $298 including tax which still seems a little high. When I got home, I looked at the receipt. I was charged nearly $20 for shop supplies.. Man oh man what can I say, those tiny little wheel weights that install on your most basic steel rim with wheel covers must cost a fortune. I worked in a tire shop years ago and back then they cost cents per weight and pennies more for a larger weight. They used bead sealer too, which likely cost some change per rim. Seriously though $20 in shop supplies couldnt have possibility been used nor was it even itemized on the receipt to explain it.

I used to love & trust this place until they ran a scam on my son during a car insurrection. They said it needed over $2000 of work that I found out later it didnt need. I had to take the vehicle back multiple times to get the repairs repaired. The place was good until Dwight took over & now they scam people by saying work needs done that doesnt & bill for work they dont really do (they billed fir new hisses that another mechanic shouted me were dry rotted so they never got replaced).

Prices are much higher than the warehouse clubs (Costco/BJs) for quality tires. The cheap Primewell tires they sell as the entry level option are pretty terrible. A few years ago, (against my advice) my mother had set of these tires put on here Mercedes (I know, wasnt my call), after about 5k miles, both front tires failed, they both split on the inside-facing sidewall (one would hold air, the other would not). After putting the spare on, I took the car back to Firestone, and asked about getting the replaced. The gentleman that was helping me said that the Primewells dont carry a warranty against defects, but he could replace them based on the treadwear warranty. I wasnt exactly thrilled about that, but it is what it is.The guy that was helping me left to see how soon he could get replacement tires in. I waited for a good 45 minutes, until another employee asked if I needed anything, I asked about the whereabouts of the first guy (This was a few years ago and I forgot his name). I was told he had left for a while and was test driving another customers car. I explained the situation to the new employee and she said she could help me. At this point, I told her to just forget it, that I didnt trust Primewell tires at all, and that I would just go buy a new set of tires elsewhere. I ended up going up the road to BJs where I purchased a set of Michelin Pilot Sports for my mothers car for just $120 more ( further offset by a $70 rebate) than the original price of the set of Primewells. BJs didnt have the Michelins in stock but were able to get them delivered the same day. The equivalent Bridgestones (which arent as good) wouldve cost a whopping $300 more (at Firestone) than the Michelins at BJs did. Its like they have no idea what tires cost elsewhere or simply dont care and rely on consumers not doing any research before purchasing tires.

At my last visit, my online quote wasnt honored completely and the tech tried to add services to what I wanted done without asking me first. He talked extremely fast and tried to slide the charges on there. I had to argue the price of my quote and had get the upsell off.

Needed a tire replaced in the middle of a road trip. We had trouble finding a place with our tire size in stock, but this one had it and understood our situation. Got us in and out the door in super quick time.

Both my wife and I have now used this location and both of us have now experienced the same issue. the standard seems to be that you have to quadruple the amount of time they estimate a job will take. six months ago my wife went in to have tires put on her car They told her it would take one hour so she gave them the car while she watched our 2 yr old granddaughter - for the next 4 hours! Yesterday I left my car with them at 2:00 to have tire set, balanced and aligned by 6PM. I returned and had to wait until 8pm to get my car back. for my trouble they gave me a free alignment (worth 90$, we will see). I and the other SIX patrons waiting for our vehicles at 8PM were not pleased by the service. I wont be going back to this location. If they cannot do the work within the time they agree to then they should not take the appointments and waste their customers time...

Slowest service ever. Dropped our vehicle off Friday night for a Saturday morning service, took 15 minutes to literally give them the keys because the appt had been made online. Service was done timely, but took nearly 25 minutes to pay because their front desk associates are more worried about upselling. Also they tried to sell me a new cabin air filter, the vehicle is brand new. Needless to say they lost a customer today. If you go, be prepared to wait and expect them to sell you every service your vehicle probably doesn’t need!

Found my receipt included a $100 charge with the description being wiring issue left side marker, the bulb is fine but the wiring came out. Guess what? Thats an exact quote that I wrote when I set up my appointment. When I asked about it they claimed because the light wasnt working properly it failed inspection so they had to run a check engine light diagnostic service which Im assuming is ya know what you can get done for FREE at advanced auto or anywhere! Funny thing is when you turn my car on it says in big bright orange letters what the issue is on top of me already telling them. Smart people huh. Or maybe just scammers! Wouldnt you think youd fix the issues that are brought up before inspecting a vehicle? After arguing for 15 mins they tried to give me half of the bogus charge back. I stated Id do a chargeback on my card then they were more than willing to give me a refund. Also they never contacted me before doing this diagnosis to ask whether I wanted it or not. AVOID THIS SHOP. I wish I had thought to ask for the old side marker lamp they replaced which I know was fine. All I needed was a wiring harness/socket. A respectable mechanics wouldve just striped the wires and done some real work.

Salesman was pushy. I was told my bent rim couldnt be fixed and was quoted an outrageous price for a replacement.
