WOW we had such a great experience with The Chocolate Rose! My only complaint was there were too many flavors to choose from! We went with a strawberry and caramel apple flavored cake for our wedding. When we had to reschedule from 2020 to 2021 we worked with The Chocolate Rose on getting a smaller version of our cake for our mini-mony in 2020. It was great to be able to celebrate with the delicious cakes TWO times. Now we get to look forward to a third cake in a year for our anniversary :).

Just want to say what a terrific job The Chocolate Rose did with my daughters bridal shower cake. It looked lovely and tasted superb. Cannot say enough nice things about them! Easy to work with, well priced, delicious!

Unbelievable Custom cakes that are both beautiful and delicious! I ordered a custom mermaid cake for a friend birthday and was blown away by the look and taste! Its the only place Ill go for cakes and fresh baked goods! The stuffed croissants are also another favorite! Great staff, and friendly atmosphere round out this great local business!

Delicious spot with many different things, my favorite being the apple fritter. My one issue is the price. If you can afford it, its a great spot.

Absolutely love this place! The cronuts on the weekend are an absolute must! The individual cakes are perfect for a quick dessert and the croissants are delicious for a breakfast sandwich! And everything is homemade! 10/10 recommend!

We ordered a custom cake for our parents 40th anniversary and it was absolutely gorgeous and delicious too!! They were a dream to work with and did amazing work. I cant recommend this place enough! The chocolate chip cookies were also super yummy. I only wish we lived closer (we were visiting my parents) so we could order from them all the time!!

I ordered a chocolate raspberry cake for my husbands 70th birthday. I was not disappointed! The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. I’d give 10 stars if I could!!

I give the cake an A+ for looks and a C- for flavor. I got the funfetti cake for my birthday and it was super dry and average (I followed their instructions). It tasted like someone over cooked a subpar cake mix. I don’t understand how all the ratings are so good and yet the cake was so bad. For a $50, I was left sadly disappointed on my birthday. The shop itself is cute and the people really nice.

The cakes from Chocolate Rose are not only scrumptious & delicious to the palate, but also pleasing to eye. Artistically made, they appear a center piece as much a delicious dessert. However beautiful they might be, its not enough you save them from their ultimate fate (being eaten). Besides cakes, there is a wonderful & delectable assortment of pastries guaranteed to make any mouth water or stop any thoughts of diet in their tracks.

Family purchased a tiramisu birthday cake for my birthday two weeks ago. It was not a big hit .. very dry and combination of favors wasnt as expected for a traditional tiramisu..The cakes decorations were more impressive. First and foremost I love our choices we grabbed. The Bog Frogs (cranberries, carmel and chocolate... All wrapped together) were blissful, the vanilla bean cheesecake was exceptional and lastly the lemon cannoli was great... But all were secondary in comparison to the owners. We are traveling through and were just mentioning we had to pull a u-turn to try their place out. They were sympathetic of the idea but honestly it was a blast (rental car... You understand)... So, they spend 10-15 minutes giving us tips and tricks for our stay in the area. Traffic information and awesome little gems to consider while we were here.This little bakery tucked in a corner is a must visit.

I ordered a Canolli cake and the cake was so overcooked and dry. The girl who answered the phone there when I called, blamed me for not following directions on the cake to come to room temp. I told her I did follow the directions and the cake was overcooked and dry. She did nothing to compensate me. She didnt care that I had to throw the 65.00 cake away because of its poor quality. Thats not how you keep good customers, I will never go there again. 65.00 is alot for a overcooked cake.

I got a beautiful bunny cake for Easter. It was so cute and delicious! We get breakfast on sundays almost every week and it always is so yummy!

Excellent pastry shop, very accommodating and delicious treats for all. 100% recommend, I love their Danish they arent good filled slabs of sloppy bread, the bread is thick and flavorful with just the right amount of fruit and cheese, very well balanced.

Vanessa made the cake for our wedding on a very short deadline and it was amazing! It looked beautiful and it tasted even better! She was so great to work with - we wanted flowers on the outside of the cake so she arrived early (after coordinating with our florist) to place them before the ceremony began! HIGHLY recommend!!

Couldnt be happier with my experience, from start to finish.The curbside service was friendly, safe, and efficient. The employee who was working the table was helpful and kind.And man... The pastries and cakes were GOOD. We got two hazelnut croissants, which were large enough and rich enough to have shared. We also got two cinnamon rolls, which were big and tasty, though not quite as good as the croissants.The mini cakes were stellar, though. We got the Pink Velvet, which I absolutely destroyed, as well as the chocolate mousse and the flourless.Would unequivocally recommend this place.

Fast easy online ordering, surpassed all expectations. From the look to the taste everything was perfect. The only thing Im disappointed in as it took so long for me to give them a try! Will definitely be ordering again for future occasions.

Quite possibly the best almond croissant Ive ever had. We ordered a selection of pastries and they were all delicious. Ordering is curbside only right now so when you park there is a table outside where you can place your order and pay. Or you can order online and then pick up. They are doing a great job accommodating this new normal. We will be back!

We recently used The Chocolate Rose for our wedding cake. Vanessa did an amazing job. The cake was stunning but mostly importantly it was delicious. We had three flavors and there were all incredible. Vanessa is very helpful. Her sense of design and attention to detail are terrific. I recommend her without hesitation.

Our first time here, It was a most enjoyable experience. We ordered several different types of pastry which were all delicious. My grand daughter also ordered the cinnamon French toast which they heated up and served with butter and syrup was delicious. We talked with the owners husband who was really nice, took the time explaining how their business grew. Nice to hear a success story. I definitely will be back, oh and they use natural ingredients and also have gluten free products.

Vanessa was so sweet and made ordering a cake over the phone very easy. She was incredibly responsive and accommodating. The cake for my mom’s birthday was beautifully decorated and tasted even better. The icing was fluffy and not overly sweet. The cake was also so light yet flavorful- wonderful bakery that I’ll definitely be ordering from again!

There were so many goodies to choose from I didnt know where to start. The cinnamon buns are enormous, soft and gooey. I asked for more frosting which they poured all over the top to make it even more gooey. I also hot a lemon poppy muffin which may have been the best I have ever had. The prices seemed reasonable and the staff was super helpful and friendly. I cant wait to go back and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an awesome bakery.

Went in with high hopes and they exceeded expectations! It’s been so hard to find a good bakery in Forestdale area with great baked goods. Not only do they have awesome baked sweets but they even have breakfast meat pateries, fresh squeezed OJ (they do I right in front of you), and Nespresso. In additional to all that they have a beautiful cake display, and make cakes for special occasions. Great place for a quick bite to satisfy your sweet or savory tooth or to grab some goodies for a family or work event. Staff is super friendly and working on outdoor seating, with town approval.
