Ordinarily I would not review a grocery store but this Kroger is a hidden gem for one reason. SUSHI. This Kroger has a sushi restaurant in it thats second to none. They have very skilled and talented sushi chefs. Its always fresh and absolutely top notch. They create traditional raw and cooked sushi. We always get a chefs special because once again the skill level is high. The crab and cream cheese & shrimp with guacamole is outstanding! This place is equal and in many cases above most sushi restaurants in Maryville. They do a great job and Kroger should be proud of this department. This Kroger is a great store with good selection. They have awesome seafood selection. Very fresh snow & king crab. If you like sushi and to cook your own seafood this is the store for you.

I was so excited/relieved to move back home and near Kroger!Yay!There is so much here and the prices and quality are amazing.I have to give a lower score however for COVID response.I would recommend that if corporate wants to play announcements on loop about staff being required to wear face masks…THEY. WEAR. FACE. MASKS. I think I counted maybe 2/30 staff wearing masks on any given shopping experience. Also, I’m sorry but face shields are specially designed for providers to wear beer sickly folks that are spitting or sneezing in the hospital. They are not a replacement for face masks.I hope you guys can work on this as it’s getting cold outside and we will have at least one more winter to deal with this virus. Thanks for listening.

Employees are friendly and the store is nice . The biggest issue the store has is that it is constantly out of stock of numerous items. Initially I thought it was related to labor shortages affecting the supply chain, but other Kroger stores in the area aren’t having the same problem. This store really needs to figure out its inventory management.

Edit: Bathrooms are still atrocious, not sure who manages those( maybe Starbucks), but one Kroger employee there goes out of her way to ask if we need help; what seems like almost every time we’re there. Job well done on her part. When you all first opened I was highly impressed with the cleanliness of the store. I actually enjoyed coming to the store to look for groceries and shop. It felt as if we finally had a quality place to shop for groceries and personal care, but this year we have seen a quick decline in the cleanliness and tidiness of the store. Furthermore, a clean bathroom speaks volumes, but they become so trashy people just walk in and walk back out in disgust. The bathrooms really should be cleaned thoroughly throughout the day. I’ve took the liberty to attach some photos below. Would have taken more, but I think these are sufficient; thanks.

Just finished a hard workout next door and popped in to buy a few things. I knew I left my wallet at the house but no big deal I can use Google pay or cash app from my phone....nope. I went through the self checkout and there was no tap and pay option. Looks like some very expensive technology in a pretty new store, but they didnt opt to take care of the customer on this one. It may be possible that they have this through the regular checkout lines but the employee that approached me did not offer that as a solution. I write this as Im sitting in food City parking lot just down the road.

I love Kroger but had a terrible experience ar the one in Maryville today. My daughter and I were in the fruit and vegetable area when my 2 year old granddaughter turned her milkshake over. We were not aware it was slowly dripping leaving a trail. A worker came up and informed us it was leaking and we quickly removed the cup. My daughter then went to the restroom to grab paper towels to clean it up. When she returned the employee was ralking to another employee complaining about the spill. He was using inappropriate language which upset my daughter. She informed them she was going to clean it up and showed them the paper towels. The employee said no they would clean it but my daughter told them since they had such an issue with it she would clean it and proceeded to squat down and clean it. She is 24 weeks pregnant and showing so this was not an easy task.. The employees watched her clean it and went about their business. My daughter was embarrassed and upset at the way the one employee had talked about her so we left the store. Please train employees on customer service. My granddaughter did not spill her drink on purpose and my daughter was more than willing to clean it and she did.. however the employees attitude and the fact that he was cursing and talking about it to another employee was very unprofessional. I know they have a hard job dealing with the public..but when the customer is trying to make it right they should treat them with respect.

Like the previous customer said, the pharmacy here is horrible. I actually have a friend here that works and she’s always kind and I love talking to her, but as of late I refuse to continue going as the management over the pharmacy CANNOT handle customers they continuously wronged. They’ve told me 3 times now that they had prescription ready on a day that was not available (I’ve been pregnant and terribly sick and rely on those tablets). My doctor has sent in a refill of 120 and has spoke to me about it over and over and they only fill 40 WHEN it says on the bottle 120 and to take for 4 times a day for 30 days. I’m done with this pharmacy. Going to Walgreens.

Have not been happy with this location lately. There has been a decline in the cleanliness of both parking lot and store. Even though Covid is on the forefront. I understand with Covid there are many more on line shoppers which you see throughout the store. They seem to be oblivious to those of us who actually come in to shop. Leaving their big cart in the middle of the isle or blocking an area in the produce while they fulfill the on going orders. Having you wait to go around them. Or even close the cold doors for them so you can go bye them. Having pallets of newly arrived products in the isle to put on the shelf is excused because of delivery time. For the last month I’ve had to bag my own groceries, with no help from the cashier. If I wanted to bag my own I can go elsewhere. Is there no training for your employees? Invest in it and it will come back a hundred fold. Your product sells itself. The customer service is an investment. Raise the bar it will pay off.

I wrote several times about an item that went missing from their shelves, which may never have been noticed as missing but by us. Kroger management read my surveys and re-ordered the Kroger Lite Southwest Dressing that had been missing for several weeks. FYI K customers, this dressing tastes just like the sauce used in Applebees Fiesta-lime chicken and their chicken-fajita roll-ups, try it yourself and see. Very disappointed with clicklist service lately. Lately they have been out of stock on over half my list. Unsure if its corona related or just a busy day, but its annoying to have to make a run to a second grocery store to get what I need. A few times Ive actually ran into kroger right after I pickup my groceries and they are in stock of said item in a different brand. So Im unsure as to why they arent subbing out like they do instead of marking out of stock. Speaking of substitutions, I do have it checked and recieve subs all my orders too so idk what the issue is. Today was actually the worst. I didnt receive 8 of my items but I was charged for them on the receipt and they werent listed out of stock on my paper. Cue me having to call and go back and have them give me my missing items. Theres also been a few times where Ive waited 30 plus minutes after Ive let them know Ive arrived for them to bring out my order. Im really not trying to be a Karen, and I totally understand that yalls business for clicklist had really picked up since covid. And I totally appreciate the waived pickup fee right now. But I think some things just need to be double checked more if possible. Thanks

The pharmacy absolutely sucks. I have some sort of issue every single time I go there. This time I was lied to 4 different times in the same transaction. The biggest lie of the 4 was giving me a total when accepting the payment but giving back less change than what is due because there is tax on the medicine? Well, then you should have given me the correct price tax and all before you take my money, dont change the total after you collect payment. You also dont tell the customer you will call them when its ready and not do so, or tell them you will accept a certain coupon when they specifically ask before filling the prescription and then not honor that. You also dont tell the customer you are giving them a 90 day supply and when they pick it up there is actually only 88 days. The specific coupon I had from good rx was for 15 tablets of 7.5 mg for $11.20 and for whatever reason they said it wouldnt work because I supposedly gave them a prescription for 120. It doesnt matter that the pills will be cut according to dosage, it shouldnt be charged that way, it is supposed to be charged by the pill not the amount of days it will last. Im pretty sure now that Ive had time to process it after being so upset from being lied to 4 different times I believe I was not charged correctly. I should have just asked for the prescription back and taken my business elsewhere but, its too late now. Its not over though because I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau for being cheated out of my money and not being given the prescription as written. Also for extremely poor customer service. It is never acceptable to lie to a customer in this situation. Emilie needs to be coached on giving the correct price before collecting the money, not after giving back the change and then saying oh by the way.

When I called them about it, they refused to assist me and basically told me to pound sand. As far as I’m concerned, they stole my money and the other people’s money. They are dishonest and lazy and obviously feel entitled to steal from their customers.Update: The corporate customer service did refund my money and said to keep the incorrectly delivered groceries. However, my one star review stands. I ordered from this store and they should have dealt with the problem rather than fobbing me off on corporate customer service.

Their prices are comparable with Wal-Mart and Dollar General plus they have great sales and the frequent shopper perks will save you even more money. Their app really simplifies shopping -you can add digital coupons directly to your card, check out the weekly ads, look up products and see what aisle they are located in, add products to your cart, or just make a grocery list both of which keeps a running total of the cost. Store also carries a good selection of housewares and clothing. Last but not least, the fuel points give you 10 cents off per gallon per $100 spent in store.

Today--Saturday-- I was in the Kroger in Maryville, TN, next to Foothills Mall, late afternoon. My granddaughter needed to use the restroom so we proceeded to the Unisex bathrooms next to the Pharmacy--which is the only restrooms indicated by signage in the store. There are two unisex bathrooms--one was out of order and as we were standing in line for the other, a worker came up and placed a sign on the door that stated out of toilet paper. Are you kidding me?? In a grocery store which has one whole aisle dedicated to paper products?? When I commented that the other one was out of order, she said we could use the ones behind Starbucks, which is on the opposite side of the store. Frustrated by this lack of care by the employee, and the fact that my granddaughter was in distress on the way to the first bathroom, we hurried through the store to get to the other restrooms which are not marked and hidden in a hallway behind Starbucks. Going into the womens bathroom, there were three stalls--two of which were occupied--so my granddaughter went into the handicapped stall. While I waited, a lady came out of the middle stall and the next person in line started in and the exiting person said that there was no toilet paper. Really. The exiting lady went to wash her hands and there was no paper towels in the dispenser. She went over to the wall where the log showing when the restrooms were last serviced and it was yesterday. Now this is Saturday, three weeks before Christmas, and the store was packed, and the bathrooms were sorely neglected. This Kroger store is a new flagship store. I cant believe this is the best Kroger has to offer. It really doesnt make me want to buy food in a place where the bathrooms are dirty, unkempt, and the employees are cavalier about the lack of toilet paper or paper towels for the use of the customers who are then walking out and touching the food and carts and everything else in the store. As we were leaving the store, my husband talked to an employee and she seemed concerned and said she would tell the store manager. This is not the first time I have had this experience with the bathrooms in this store. Normally, I will not use the bathrooms because the bathrooms have not been serviced several times I have been in there. This was a disgrace.

I dont want to wander through aisles and aisles of clothing just to grab a gallon of milk. Were still not impressed with their meat department, for one. The produce section, while its nice and roomy compared to the old store, doesnt offer a wider selection of fruits and veggies... just more of the same stuff spread out over a larger area. So, instead of actually having more varieties of apple, you get 20 square feet of red delicious in one display.I wouldnt mind that if the employees were helpful, but overall theyre just as cold and surly as they used to be at the old location. More often than not, youll get the clear impression from their actions and body language that they were doing something more important than you before you had the gall to interrupt their important job with your silly question. Need help from the customer service desk? Good luck... they might deign to give you their attention after finishing whatever it is they were working on when you walked up to the counter. Or they may just walk off and ignore you. True story.Oh, and did I mention that they have a multi-lane roundabout where clueless drivers will try to kill you? When this location opened I was so satisfied with the juice bar and organic/natural section of the store up front due to my many many food allergies. It was so EASY for me to shop here prior to the change because everything I knew I could have was upfront. Now that they’ve blended everything in it’s not only extremely frustrating but tempting to see all of the foods I can’t have. The past few weeks have been a complete nightmare learning they no longer carry some of the items that were so easy for me to swing by and grab from Kroger. I will now be making the trek to Whole Foods in Knoxville and will no longer shop at this store due to the layout change and discontinuation of certain products to transition to the Simple Truth brand. I know several others who feel the same way. Bad change, Kroger.

Very fresh produce with a large organic selection. Nice kiosks to grab a bite to eat. Soup, sushi, beer bars. Fresh salad and juice bar, and very fresh.

This store has gone downhill in the past few months. They used to have helpful employees but as of late this is not the case. They have changed the layout of the store in a completely disorganized way. The shelves are not routinely stocked. Get it together Kroger!!!

I love Kroger! And this store is beautiful! The produce is always looking good. They also do great deals on produce. The gourmet cheese counter is a favorite of my little one. That is our first stop. Also the bakery also has yummy desserts and breads. They have a salad bar, hot bar, burrito bar, hot soups, little Asian bar which is delicious.1 thing I really like is they always have manager specials on bakery goods, food items, cheese, even flowers!!You could pay $3 bucks for a bouquet of flowers.Grateful for the benefits fromthe gas rewards and discounts bc of there card.Just to add, the Kroger Brand items are our favorite!

I agree with other reviews that the store is a logistical nightmare but a new issue with advertising and pharmacy services arose. Advertised in the parking lot, street corner, foyer and pharmacy is $0 copay on flu shots. I phoned my insurance company about coverage at Kroger and was assured that they would be paid. My husband and I waited over 20 minutes to verify coverage. After apologies we were told a $14 copay was required. The pharmacy tech told us that while standing next to the $0 copay signage. On the way home I phoned the store manager who was under the same impression that $0 copay means $0 copay. Im still waiting for his call back. I wont be shopping there any time soon.

Krogers Market place is new in Maryville and very nice. It is now my preferred store. We have run into some issues with quality but the store was quick to fix it. Only issue with this location is the parking because they are always busy. If you are busy they do have order and pickup spot. I havent used it yet because you need to plan ahead and I like looking for specials.
