Today, Kevin and Robert came out to provide new service for propane in our home and being first timers to this feat, they were absolute professionals. They answered all of our questions, tested for potential leaks etc. We were pleased. Great representatives of the company. Thank you.

Called for a conversion of furnace from natural gas to propane and to lease a tank. They came out for a site visit, discussed what was needed, got info off furnace, called me the following day for more info off the furnace (which I gave them). I called them a week later for update and they said they were waiting on parts. Have called them several times in the past couple weeks and always get answering service. Ive come to the conclusion that either we got lost in the shuffle or they just dont want our business. They couldve at least called and let us know either way instead of leaving us hanging right before heating season. I know this isnt typical of Roach Energy, so dont not call them because of this review, but Im very disappointed to be part of the atypical.(I hope its not because of past complaints about their convenience stores regarding covid...my complaints were valid and reasonable.).

Roach Energy sent Brian out to see what was going on with our central heat and air. Come to find out we needed a new system. The price was right and Brian and Ben worked hard. We felt safe with them in our house. They did a great job.

Fall of 2020-Purchased a large home, & had no prior experience with propane, but house was already set up for it. Needed tank refilled. Called Roach & put a credit card on file. They came out, filled the tank, charged our card. Soon after we received a mailed invoice that was marked unpaid, despite the automatic credit card payment that they had on file (which was successfully charged at the time of service). Took several phone calls & several weeks for the invoice to be corrected & for account to reflect PIF. Very unprofessional. Simple mistakes can be avoided or swiftly corrected, but they lacked urgency as well as accuracy.March 3, 2021-Requested a refill on current tank, & requested installation of a 2nd tank. Told that they cannot do refill on current tank since it isnt low enough. Offered to pay a fee to get it filled anyways. Nope. Told to call back later when it is lower. As for 2nd tank- Paid for the fuel on the new 2nd tank using card on file, scheduled for delivery on March 12.March 8, 2021-Current tank VERY low, called yet again to ask for refill. Bounced around between office people until last person told me that I could not have the tank refilled unless I apply for credit.We have a credit card on file!- Which was used for our 1st refill, & to order the 2nd tank! All I need is for you to refill our current tank & charge card! She said that they cant do that. In order for fuel to be delivered & billed later, that we must apply for credit!! -- ((WE HAVE A CREDIT CARD ON FILE))- Dont need your credit!! Like talking to a wall! After explaining that we have been business owners for years, & this is not how you treat paying customers, I was promptly told that she felt threatened & she hung up. Upon calling back to speak to a manager, I was immediately informed by their answering service that the office was closed for lunch...so it is quite evident that her bologna sandwich was truly why she ended the call, not anything I said. Baffling.Conclusion:I will cancel the 2nd tank delivery.I will request that they come pick up their existing tank.I have already contacted another local company to take their place.The 3 obsolete HVAC units that we planned to have Roach replace will be given to another company.I will tell everyone to avoid Roach at all cost.Unprofessional staff (Aka April ) cost ME valuable time and patience, but costs YOU (Roach) money. The HVAC units alone would have been a 24k investment that we will take elsewhere. No one should have to fight with a company just to give them money.

Currently wide awake at 4am freezing beyond belief, trying to console my cold sad baby because roach takes for EVER to come fill my tank and my family is left to suffer. It doesnt matter how early in the month i purchase it- it happens every time. We have tried to get on an auto plan but our inquiries have been ignored thrice. I AM COLD. Do better. Deliver my f-ing heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When we moved into our retirement home here in WV. It was quite the change in lifestyle. I had never bought propane for a home before in my life. Roach made it painless. The have given me the BEST customer service that I could hope for. They filled my tank and checked all my appliances day one.

I would hands down recommend Roach Energy over any other gas company! After having too many AWFUL experiences with Thompson Gas, my husband and I decided to look for another gas company. It was the best decision we could have made! We worked with Kevin Walker throughout the process and he is the main reason we chose Roach Energy. He is fantastic! Kevin has been there for us every step of the way throughout the transition process and he has went above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. Kevin is a great asset to Roach Energy and he sets the bar extremely high with his great customer service. If you have Thompson Gas, switch to Roach Energy as soon as you can!

We have used Roach Energy for several years for our heating oil needs. I really appreciate how courteous and helpful the office staff are when I call to place an order. We recently had a delivery made by Bill Shiflett. He made the delivery when promised and was very professional. Thanks for doing an excellent job! We will definitely continue using Roach Energy in the future.

Absolutely terrible service, bought a home recently went to try and get repairs done to the fireplace the previous owner had tinkered with. 100 dollar service call (which apparently the previous owner had done as well but they didnt have the data on their computer) to be told they would have yo replace the unit. Called and asked for a quote to get the fireplace replaced no response, waited a week called again and still nothing. Terrible way to run a business I feel they basically are a take the money and run mentality. I will be sure to recommend no one else go to this place.

I contacted every heating oil company that services Berkeley County and Roach had the best rates. Every person I have encountered at the company has been very friendly. We pay for oil as we need it, the first time it delivered within 24 hours, today I paid for the oil around 11AM it was delivered by 230PM. Bill Shiflett was our 5 star driver! Thank you guys for your fast and friendly service!!

Signed up for propane from Roach last year and was please with the service I received. Called this year to get a refill and received great service again. I had questions about pricing changes, and market fluctuation and they were able to help me understand and also worked with me on a refill price.

House had run out of furnace oil, and was terribly uncomfortable. Went into the Roach office to pay for delivery, expecting it would take two or three days before the truck would be seen pulling up to the house. Later the same afternoon, Bill (Shiflett) was filling our tank. What a pleasant surprise! What a relief.

We moved into a new home, and have an oil tank. Neither of us had any experience with this sort of heating, so we were very naive and we did not keep an eye on our oil levels during a cold snap in April. One day, we woke to a frigid house. We called around to see who could deliver fastest, and we were told by Roach that they could be out the next day. I took off work and called Roach to confirm the delivery. I was told that we had a delivery scheduled, but it may not happen until the next day. When I brought up that we were given a delivery date and that I took off work to be there the response was We dont have anyone in the area today and you dont have to be there for us to deliver. Didnt anyone tell you that? So, Ive wasted a day of work for no reason and I am not getting the delivery I was promised. It is supposed to be in the 30s and I have two young kids. I will not be dealing with this company again. I do not appreciate being lied to.

The roaches need to learn how to treat good employees .i have never seen such disregard for good employees .the turn over in workers are different every week it seems like know one wants to work there after the first month all the signs they have up about great pay advancements great benefitb is all lies your start pay is 9 dollars when sheet is 11 dollars I will never spend another dollar in any of your stores

Horrible! Pay the extra cost per gallon to use a company that believes in customer service.I used this company for years, filling up once a year. They were great until recently.My recent service request (September 2017) left me with a broken fill spout – see pic.I was not informed that this had occurred.After not receiving a bill, around 3 weeks later, I discovered what had happened.I had to cover the tank with foil and a piece of rubber in place of a lid.Repeated calls (4) and emails (2) went unanswered.

Due to circumstances beyond my control I was very frustrated trying to find a propane provider. Kevin Walker in the Martinsburg Wv office was so helpful and extremely understanding of my circumstances. The people in the Martinsburg Wv office give a whole new meaning to customer CARE. They truly do put the customer first.

I am writing this review in regards to the dealings with Roach Energy Customer Service and Accounting/Billing Department.I first used their services as they were the cheapest prices heating oil around the area at the time. Their Customer Service at that time also reflected the cheapest prices around mentality. They do not return phone calls in a timely fashion or give someone a message and are very rude when they do return calls. For these factors, I went with Southern States for heating oil for years. After years of dealing with Southern States with no issues with their Customer Service, their minimum fill up amount increased and I went back to Roach Energy due to having a lower minimum fill up requirement (seeing as though heating oil isnt cheap and I do not get assistance for heating oil)! I had to deal with the Customer Service and Accounting/Billinlg Department as I was placed in collections. I made one payment to the Collection Agency. Then decided to call Roach Energy and discuss my options, which I was advised if i pay my bill in FULL I will be taken out of Collections and would be emailed confirmation of that. Which the confirmation email came in almost a week after I paid off my balance.I paid my remaining balance in FULL and a partial amount with the Collections Company, which I advised Customer Service of this, who stated they would gather the Collection Agency payment from them directly. A month after my account balance was FULLY paid off, I received a bill for Financing Charges. I called Customer Service to inquire about these additional charges a MONTH after my bill was paid in full, which they advised they would have to review my entire account history and get back to me by the END OF BUSINESS. However, that was not the case. No one from Customer Service or the Accounting/Billing Department contacted me at the E.O.B. I called the next day and asked the status but was told that I would have to speak with a particular Staff member, who was not available. An entire week went by and NO ONE contacted me to advise me of reason for the additional Finance Charges, until today. I was advised that I was given the wrong amount to pay. Also, I was advised that Roach Energy never received my collections payment from the Collections Company. Which I find odd as Roach Energy and the Collections company work together and my bank account reflected the amount for payment. Finally, I was told that they will have to see what is going on with my Collections payment.I will no longer be dealing with Roach Energy and their unprofessional Customer Service and Account/Billing Department. I am willing to pay more for heating oil than deal with rude, incorrect, ignorant people.
