On July 1st I had a flat tire and had driven to work in Hudson, MA from Townsend MA on a 50 mile rated spare tire. I called around to a bunch of places to see if I could get 4 new tires on my vehicle that day? But, beginning of July and people already heading out on Vacation, everybody was too busy!I literally begged Robyn @ Sears Auto Center to take care of me. She went out back and asked one of their Techs (John) if he could stay late to get my tires done, as they closed @ 6:00pm. John stayed until 7:00 PM and got my tires done.I think some of other peoples bad experiences at this location are due to managements inability to keep the place properly staffed. They appeared to be quite shorthanded for only a few customers @ location when I arrived @ 4:45. While it did take a couples of hours, Robyn had already warned me that this could take a while.Robyn communicated quite well with me from the word go, and John and Robyn staying late to get the job done was awesome. 5 Stars for Robyn and John, and strong suggestion to upper level Sears Auto Center Management... Support you Employees better and youll in turn get better customer experiences.Sincerely,Barry

Robyn and Alicia [Marlborough store] are an excellent tag team. Expectations were set around wait times (short handed due to holiday season), the feedback based on diagnosis was detailed and on point and the job itself was thoroughly executed. The customer experience was top notch. Would recommend booking an appointment which is easy to do online. Great job Robyn and Alicia!

I had a tire blow out on the highway and went to Sears tire center in Marlborough to get 4 new tires, I drove in on my spare. 2 weeks later I was washing my car and noticed the spare was mushy. I went to put air in it and it would not hold air. I looked at the valve stem and noticed there was no needle in the valve. I went back to Sears in Marlborough an told the rep my story, the rep was very polite and helpful, he even explained to me how a valve stem works...um thanks but I know its supposed to hold air in the tire. he gets the manager to come take a look who explains to me that people get really mad when this happens.. You mean to tell me this happens ALL THE TIME! Come on Sears, get your Sh%$ together! If I got a flat on a dark road in the middle of no where, Id have no spare. Do you have any idea how dangerous this is??? I am very disappointed at the cavalier attitude of the Sears personnel for putting my life in danger. if your techs forget this step often I suggest you use a check list or some other tool to help them remember.

I had an appointment scheduled for 1 pm today to put snow tires on my truck. I dropped my keys off and checked in. Associate told me 2 hours and I will receive a text alert. Over 2 hours later and no text. I walked back to the auto center from the mall and saw my truck in exactly the same spot as I had left it.I asked an associate if they had even started working on my truck yet and he tried to tell me that pick up was now 4 pm and they had a lot of appointments, however while he was telling me this the original associate told me he forgot to put the work order in. They had completely forgotten I dropped my truck off. They told me another 30 minutes and it would be done. Another hour later it was finally ready. I try to be respectful of human error, but expected more than just Im sorry. They gave me 20 bucks off. I had to ask for a discount for the issue, but I feel like they should have offered this without me asking. I drove an hour to get here.So much for my whole Saturday....

I have had just about the worst Customer experience ever from the Sear Auto Center in Marlboro. My family was preparing to take a vacation and wanted to purchase a roof cargo carrier. After some internet research I found that Sears stocked the item. We went in to purchase the carrier and in discussion with the associate that completed the transaction we confirmed 1) all the necessary parts were enclosed 2) refund would be no issue with return if it did not fit. When We arrived home Home and started the installation we found that all parts were in fact not included. I went back to the store to return the cargo carrier, same associate now says only the manager is authorized to process returns and he does not work Monday and Friday. Okay I have a 3 day target not to process this return. Back again on Tuesday - no luck manager not there, Wednesday manager not there again!. However, this time the associate miraculously is now able to process the return... confusing... At this time he advises of a $30 restocking fee. Crazy. Feel like I got beat. Poor service, poor product and out hrs of my time and $30...

Extremely expensive and was more money than the original estimate, I also feel that they lack in communication with their customers, I had waited 3 days for my car and kept calling to see if it was ready and they sternly told me they would call when it was ready so I waited 2 more days and since I still hadnt heard from them I finally called and they were like oh ya, that was ready yesterday morning I wish they had called when it was ready because I was paying for a rental. I paid $1750 for 1 strut and a sway bar.🤔😳😏

My wife and I wanted to go get some lunch but we couldnt because we werent allowed to bring our dog in the mall. Very poor service. Brought my car in for battery warranty check. Warranty was expired, so the guy wrote up an order to check without ever telling me there would be a $20 charge. So, no big deal I let it go. Then I went for a walk for an hour while they checked my battery. When I came back, they had already put in a new one - WITHOUT ASKING ME IF I WANTED IT!! Talk about baiting me. I had already decided to get the battery elsewhere. For lack of time, I just let them keep it in and paid for it. The whole time they were all very unfriendly and discourteous. AND they installed one of the the terminals half on the post, and stripped the nut.

This morning on my way to work I blew out a tire and was stuck on the highway and had no idea what to do. A young man pulled up behind me and tried to help me put my spare tire on my car just to find out my new car doesnt come with a spare tire. I was so upset but, this man lifted my car up and took my tire off for me and drove me to this sears auto center where he replaced my tire and drove me back to my car and helped me put it on. I am very grateful and will definetly bring my cars back here. Thank you jim for making my day so much better.

Ordered four tires online. Received a pickup confirmation. Drove 100 miles each way to get them. Droppped my keys off and was told it would be an hour and Ill get a text when finished. Walked to the mall, bought some tools, at the Sears. An hour and a half later no text. Went back and my car was out front where I left it. Went to see the new tires and the old ones were still on. Go inside and the employee says I better get the manager. Manager comes out and tells me the four tires I purchased online and were in stock on the website werent there. No apologies at all. The guy was a complete a**.Tried to sell me other tires they had of lesser quality for more than I paid for the Continentals I ordered online. I said you better give me a heck of a discount. Manager behind the counter says I dont have to do anything.Stay far away! No wonder Sears is in terrible financial shape.

I will never come back to ANY Sears Auto Center ever again. The staff was rude and not helpful, people were just hanging around and nobody seemed to have a sense of urgency. I scheduled an appointment to have 4 tires replaced at 9 am and upon my arrival I requested an oil change. After over 3 hours of waiting I finally had my car back, but no oil change was ever done. I was never talked to or given an update on my car all throughout the extremely long time I waited for such simple service. I asked multiple employees for assistance and updates and nobody cared at all. The few other customers present were also very upset with their long wait. I also noticed someone who wasnt in uniform walking around vaping right at the end of the garage and mechanics are just sitting around eating in the back. This is the worst place I have ever come for any service for any vehicle ever before. My grandmother spent over $500 total at this location for the serviced car and I could not be more dissatisfied with my service. I or anyone in my family will never ever go to any Sears Auto Center again. This was my first experience here, and my last.

Don’t normally have issues with this place as I’ve been bringing my car here for years. However today I brought my truck in to get some new tires mounted. I showed up early, as I had a lot to do that day. In fact, I was the only customer in the shop, with one car in the garage. I was told it would take an hour to two hours to get the new tires mounted, as I had them right in the bed of my truck. Now here I am, 2.5 hours later. My truck hasn’t even left the parking lot, the new tires are still in my bed, and I’m watching people’s cars go in and out and these people arrived hours after me. Beyond furious.

I went to the store the day after Christmas to buy a car battery for my sons car. The Sears and this particular stores websites were advertising a battery usually $132 on sale for $100. In addition Sears advertises battery replacement in 15 minutes.I got to the store at about 8:30 and there were only a couple of customers in store. The service rep informed me that he had someone call in sick so the battery replacement would take 3 HOURS. Wow. But Ok i will leave car and come back for it in three hours even though it was inconvenient for me.Then he pulled down the prices of batteries. There were no current sale prices listed. I told him i wanted to get a battery advertised by Sears that day for $100He stated for me to get that price I needed to bring in a hard copy of that advertised price. He was not capable with his computer to verify any advertised prices. Unbelievable. Can you believe a service rep has no ability to pull down sears website with a store computer??Needless to say what a way to run a business. With a three hour wait(for an advertised 15 minute wait) and having to pay full price for an on sale item i wasnt going to give Sears my business. I took my business to Advance Auto Parts three miles away and had a battery purchased and installed in 10 minutes despite freezing conditions outside for the installer.I will never return to Sears Automotive as long as I live.

Have used sears for awhile for minor car repair, oil change, tires, etc..... No longer. Quoted over $400 for inner tie rod ends. Paid less than the labor I was quoted by Sears for the ENTIRE job at a local shop down the road. There is a constant wait for some apparent reason. Today I stopped in for an alignment and was told that the tire truck has slowed everything down. Apparently, the drivers call corporate when they have to wait. I asked what about the customer?!?!?!?! Service and speed has gone incredibly down hill.....Also, I really wonder why they cover all the windows in the waiting area so you cannot see in the work area. I thought the windows were for the customers to see the progress on their vehicle.....What are you hiding?

Dropped my car off for a alignment and wheel balance. picked up my car 3 hours later “job was supposed to be done” only to find out later that same day that absolutely no work was done on my car. As soon as i got on the highway my steering wheel started to shake worst then before. I turn around and came right back. Only to hear a lot of BS. Like your tires are bulky which isn’t bad for construction off road not good for hitting the high way, that’s probably why. oh and i also, was not able to remove your passanger side wheel because the lug nots were in too tight. Really so how were the wheels balanced? They tryed in every way imaginable to say it was not their fault but something wrong with my car. Ok so if there was something wrong with my car what was it since you work on the car? cause i was not notified of anything? Ohh im not sure a number of things could be a factor.

I went to Sears Automotive in Marlborough on 11/19/13 to have my two rear shocks replaced. They told me it would be done by 6pm at which it was. I get in the van and drive down the street and the van is bouncing all over the place and bottoming out at the smallest of bumps. I drive back to talk to them and they try to come up with a few excuses on why the van is acting this way. I admit I dont know a lot about vehicle maintenance, but I do know this shouldnt be happening. After they put their heads together they realized they installed the wrong shocks. Seeing the shop was closing, I had to leave my vehicle over night. This was a real inconvenience seeing that it is a work vehicle and I need it to earn money and get the kids to school in the am.They did fix it first thing in the am, but my question is, how can you install the wrong shocks. Maybe I would do something like that but, they are an automotive shop that does this EVERY DAY. I should have known not to return to Sears Auto Center. 12 years ago I let them do a oil change and tire rotation on my vehicle. On the way home my tire came flying off and I landed 10 inches from a pond. You probably know what happened next.... The worst thing about this whole situation is not one of them said they were sorry for the mix up and the inconvenience. I guess not everyone admits their screw ups.

I went into the store Sunday 9/29/13 at approximately 11:00am. One of the workers was talking to a customer about the stove in his home so I waited and waited. Once they were done talking, the sears worker walked away leaving me in the front of the store alone. After 20 minutes of waiting another sears auto worker came to the front with another customer. After hearing them talk for 10 minutes and no one waiting on me I left the store. I was going to buy four tires for my truck but I figured they didnt need my money so I will spend it elsewhere.

Wish I could do half a star. Got an alignment on my truck last week. Ever since if I hit my brakes real hard it would pull to the left so I thought it was my brakes. Ruptured brake line? Bad caliper? Checked both of those and everything was fine there. Put it in 4x4 and I my steering wheel was out of control from the start to the stop. I left it in 4wd and got out to see if my front end was fine because from what I felt in the steering wheel I thought my front end was folding in. The front left tire was sitting with negative camber and the tire was tilted like l-/ to eachother rather than being parallel l-l and my upper control arm on that side was loose. Ive noticed the casters have moved their positioning and when you look at it from the front the toes of the tires are facing in toward eachother. Took it there today around noon after I asked the person that I was speaking too if it can definitely get looked at today because I need it for work this week. He told me as long as I drop it off it will get looked at. Get a call 15 minutes before they close asking if it can stay the night. It takes me longer than 15 minutes to actually get there so I had to get it after it was closed. After reading a lot of other reviews plus my overall experience here, Im taking it somewhere to get it done right. A waste of 89 bucks.

I wish I read the above reviews before I spent $1300.00 on tires. Buying the tires was easy but everything that happened after was painful as of this post I am still dealing with Sears Customer Service and the store manager. When i purchased the tires I paid for an alignment when the car was completed there was no alignment done. My wife was told that it did not need one with no results of the test that was done. When the technician came in to let her know the car was ready he pointed at her and just said your car is ready. She was not addresses by name! On her ride back to work the TPMS sensor indicator came on. Now keep in mind that prior to the install of the new tires we never had issues with the sensors, I even paid extra to have the stems rebuilt.I proceeded to contact the service manager who assured me that the issue would be taken care of if my wife brought the car back in, so she did. The service technician who was working told her that 3 of the 4 sensors may have been damaged. He also said that she must take it to the dealership to have them verify that they are damaged and to provide proof of the damage. If the dealership can prove that they are damaged then they can replace them. This would make it 3 trips to Sears and one trip to our dealership! I will never spend a dime at Sears again.UPDATE- Spoke to another manager today who said he would replace the TPMS sensors today, so we will be dropping the car off AGAIN today, another two hours we will never get back. Stay tuned.

One more satisfied customer. Changed my brakes there. Manager took his time to explain all my options and pros-cons of each. Really surprised to see that their prices are far less than dealerships and proprietary/franchised auto shops in this area. Very reasonable prices and a lot of options. They might not have the polish of dealerships/franchises or they may not give you free ride/cofee, who cares, I want the quality repairs done for less cost. Waiting time may be a little more, but if you wish to pay a lot more for faster service, there are a lot of dealerships/autoshops waiting for your money. Now I am thinking, why I havnt tried sears auto all these years.
