These guys are great! I got a screw in my tire a few hours before I was scheduled to drive out of town for a trip. They got me in and patched my tire in less than 20 mins so I could leave on time and ordered me new tires. Tires and service were excellent and they charged less than a dozen other places I called for quotes. I will come back here everytime I need service.

This is the most honest repair shop I have ever experienced. Dan and his staff/family are a very honest, polite, and efficient people. I have had an alternator replacement and most recently spark plugs and ignition coil replacement. He gave me an accurate estimate and was very efficient with his work. I will never even consider using another mechanic for any vehicle repairs.

Ive been coming here for many years. Theyve serviced my Accord and Sentra, and soon the Miata.To highlight how amazing theyve been, i recently called about my car being bumpy at certain speeds. Instead of taking advantage of the situation, they redirected (and reminded me) to take it to the entity that provided me a warranty (maybe its bumpy because it wasnt this shop that put new tires...). They guided me through the process, and this is so difficult to find these days. Definitely instills confidence, and wouldnt hesitate to do further business with them 🥰

I have heard they did good work and it was local so I had my truck towed here. Leaving aside the fact I replaced the spark plugs recently, I told them to go ahead and replace them along with the sensor that was causing engine problems. They charged me $120 labor to replace spark plugs on top of the labor for the sensor! I have never been to a shop that charges more than 1 hour labor(~$60) to replace spark plugs. Never coming back unless I have to.

Amazing customer service and quality work. I got a flat tire on my way to work and had to call around to find a shop that had tires that would fit my car. I drive a tiny scion IQ so finding tires can be a bit of a pain for me. I called Marina Tire & Auto Repair and they helped me figure out my options and even told me if I could not get my car to their shop to give them a call back so they could try to help. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and professional. He kindly ordered the tires I needed and sent me on my way. The tires arrived at the shop in just 2 hours (much sooner than I was expecting!) and he gave me a call to let me know my car was ready to be picked up. Amazing service from start to finish and at a very affordable price!

I brought my car in to have a nail removed from one of my tires. Work began on my car sooner than expected. The nail did not puncture the tire, so I was not charged anything. This was even though the time saved not doing the repair was spent searching in my car for the wheel lock I forgot to hand over with my keys. Kudos to Marina Tire & Auto Repair for the excellent service!

Took my car in for an alignment after getting my struts replaced on my car. I called first before going and was told no appointment needed and quoted me for an alignment of 80 dollars.I went in for an alignment and was told that it would take 1h 30m to complete the job. It took 2 hours to complete which was at 5:55pm. 5 minutes before closing I took my car for a drive and noticed there was more shaking and my steering wheel was not aligned! I had to drive with my steering wheel pointing right just to drive straight.I went back after driving it for a few minutes and the shop had closed completely. I was commuting back home which was 2 hours away.The shop did a poor job at aligning my car. How was my car aligned if it was still unaligned when I got it back.

Never have had a bad experience, each visit has exceeded my expectations. I will always think of them first when I need automotive repairs. Honest and friendly.

I have used their services several times over the last couple of years. Great work, reasonable prices and they have always got the job done on the same day. I have had starters replaced, Alternators, Water pumps...you name it. I also like that fact that they dont argue with the customer, often I already know what the problem is and just ask them what the repair cost are, and they tell me and every time their prices are lower than my own estimate of how much the work should cost and that is a hard quality to find in a repair shop. One time I realized I had a brake light out and the guy went in back and got me a free bulb and I changed it on the spot to avoid a fix it ticket.

This place saved me an autocross day! On my way to an autocross events at Marina Airport I picked up a screw in my tire. They were able to get me in and out in less than 10 minutes so I didnt miss any of the event, really nice woman working the register, staff was really cool, great experience!

Ive been going to Marina Tire & Auto to take care of all of my service needs for the past year. Their service is great! The prices are very reasonable and they havent ever tried to upsell me anything or charge me unnecessarily. I have even experienced complimentary service from them when they were not able to solve an issue on my old van. This is a great place to bring your vehicle for regular maintenance or to fix a problem!

Went here for a few oil changes and new suspension on my crown vic. Everything is great and at good prices, but one time they did forget about my car and it took them over four hours to do an oil change. The manager/owner apologized and did give me some free advice and even walked into Ace Hardware next door to tell me what I needed to polish my yellowed headlights. He even polished out some scratches and white transfer paint on my cars body for free. I do recommend them and their prices are fair, but they dont do much work other than simple maintenance, tires, and suspension.

This place nothing but sexist pigs. I went to change my tire and guy comment me that oh because dont park back backward I should not drive. I told him always park not use parking backwards. The customer service give back vide. Also he forgot which tire he to change. Also he just stand around. But then he change it but I did not know done. Usually they pull your car to the front you can know done. I had no idea until I walked and ask how going to take. Then they said it done. Why could not be time frame? They on looking at me like there something wrong. I not going back there. Cashier was the only nice person there.

Tony is the Monterey Car Jesus. We came in with a faulty window at 6 pm on Saturday of labour day weekend after the shop closed and he still graciously spent an hour helping us fix it. Really good customer service from this legendary car mechanic!

I have been going here for a couple years now for oil changes and other little car issues and enjoyed the price and service. I’m done now. They asked me to go buy a new blinker unit to replace my broken one because it would be faster. Okay, fair enough. They installed it, I got in my car looking forward to having a working blinker and it didn’t work because they put the old lightbulbs in. First of all, what mechanic doesn’t have lightbulbs on hand? And if you don’t, tell me I need to go buy them too to complete the job. Definitely don’t hand my keys back over like everything is fine. Absolutely awful. I will not be going back.

I took my car in for a simple oil change. Took about an hour. I checked my oil filter afterwards to see if they had changed it. Noticed that it was a cheap filter and bit of oil around it but didnt think of it much. A few weeks later my air vents started to smell a bit like engine oil. (I dont drive it very often as it is a race car with a racing engine). I then decided to check my air filter and what do you know, there was oil inside! (bad news). I began to remove the air intake all the way up to the throttle. The accordion tube was filled with at least 2oz of oil! Im very disappointed and unsatisfied with this amateur service. Next time I will take my car into a more professional shop with knowledge or at the most, care, for someone elses car. (I would have done the oil change myself if I had a place to do it) DONT TAKE YOUR CAR FOR AN OIL CHANGE AT THIS SHOP.

I went there to get the brake fluid reservoir looked at to see if there was a leak then get the brake fluid replaced. After waiting for 4 hours without update, they told me my car had no leaks and that I was good to go. A few days later, my brake light turns back on. I checked the brake fluid reservoir and lo and behold there was no brake fluid and there was a puddle underneath my car. Needless to say, I am not very happy.

Had to change my review. Ive tried to get in for service and tires about 5 times now.Ended up getting tires in Sj, oil change across town, and wheel bearings across town as well.Either the owners son is at the counter and has bike friends calling non stop, to where he cant seem to focus. Or they are full of work for the day and few days ahead.I called today and a lady answers, I was surprised and happy...until she tells me just come in the morning and drop the car off and theyll get it done. Gal didnt even ask what kind of work I needed.I need to schedule work since I commute to the bay. Ive never had a shop tell me they dont schedule work more first come first serve.This place needs a good manager so the techs can get the work done. Someone who knows an auto shop and wants to be there.Techs have been great the shop management has needed some investing in. Cheers.I want to give.you business but it seems like its a chore. Fix this.

This place is a total rip off! They broke off my spark plug while trying to replace it, then took over a week to get it out and figure out what was wrong with my car. Turned out it was just the spark plugs that needed to be replaced and they charged me $100 just for the spark plugs. I know for a fact I did not pay that much for them before. They offered no compensation for it taking so long. $230 to get my spark plugs replaced is highway robbery. I will tell everyone I know never to go here!!!And yes Im a CSUMB student and still no love :(

I took my car there to changed my front tires. But the technician changed the back tires instead. The front desk guy just said he doesnt know why the tech put them in the back. I was a lil dissapointed but they did an alright job but I wish they would have listen better and put my tires were I wanted them changed.

Do not go here. Service with a smile while they rip you off. They changed my radiator hose $500! One month later my car is leaking more coolant than ever... Then I ask how much to do a full tune up, plugs, oil and timing belt. They want $1700! its a 96 Camry I can buy a new engine for that price. The owner is great but his mechanics are substandard and prices are through the roof.

Steer clear of these guys. Weve had a couple bad experiences with them doing shoty work that has yo be redone. After getting stranded out of town one day after getting service there. We will NEVER go there again.
