As we were walking away the owner came to the door and invited us in anyways.Billy is one of the most down to earth, likable people we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Billy and his family own this amazing and trendy ice cream shop in downtown Mansfield. They put music out in the outdoor area, keep the tables and chairs clean and organized, and I’ve even seen Billy bus dishes from Twisted Root next door and bring them into their kitchen!The ice cream flavors are fun and delicious and it’s just a pleasure to get ice cream here. We love coming by after dinner or even as a treat after some award or special day for my kids. We have also come here to celebrate our last day of school and karate golf medals! This shop is a treasure in Mansfield! You must try Hypnotic Emporium Ice Cream!

Very kind and patient servers given were a family of 6. The owners wife took a picture to commemorate our first visit. The shakes were delicious and the ice cream divine, definitely heading here again when were back in the area.

I recently had my son’s birthday party under the shady trees in the courtyard and I couldn’t have imagined a better place to host his birthday party!There was no fee, I just had to pay for the ice cream. The ice cream was delicious and I love their unique flavors. This made my total cost very affordable for a party of about 30 people. I am beyond grateful! Most places charge about $300 or more for that many guests. Billy and his wife are so accommodating. I brought some outdoor games for kids and was given the ok to borrow a few from the shop. The kids loved playing on their giant connect four game! I ordered pizza, was able to hang a piñata and decorate however I wanted. I had a bubble machine going and Hypnotic Emporium played fun music for us. The courtyard is fenced in so the kids could run around playing games, and the parents didn’t have to worry because it keeps them close by. This spot is perfection and I highly recommend if you’re seeking delicious ice cream or a fun place to host an event.

So many wonderful memories with my kids here!!! Birthdays, special occasions, and celebrations-my children and I loved coming to Hypnotic Emporium for the delicious ice cream flavors, fantastic family-like service, and super cool atmosphere! The owner is such a cool guy. He works incredibly hard to make this a fun place to go! Esp when the businesses nearby all closed. The ice cream is delicious! Great flavors, and my kids love climbing the little steps to look in to see the flavors themselves. We love hanging out here!

What a pleasant experience! Myself, daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter went for on first post pandemic outing, sat outdoors and enjoyed this creamy goodness! The owner Billy is such a kind and hard working dude. He has done so much through the pandemic to give everyone some normalcy to look forward to. And worked his but off promoting other local business at the same time. Ice cream is great and will definitely leave you wanting to come back for more.

This was the spot that my daughter and I would visit all throughout the pandemic - such a beautiful family friendly outdoor space and I’ve never seen my daughter eat anything faster than she would on the days they had the cotton candy ice cream cones. Billy once even gave her a sweet teddy bear that she still sleeps with till this day. This place will be greatly missed!

We loved this place so much. We went frequently during the pandemic and enjoyed having our 14 year old daughter’s birthday party there. They took such good care of us, allowing us to have the yard games for the girls. I can’t wait to visit you at your new place!!

The owners of this establishment are so disgustingly rude. The woman working there wouldn’t even look at me when I asked her a question. Seemed annoyed that I would dare to even bother her. I can see where the other workers have learned their work ethic. The male owner was also rude and concerned that my 3 year old son could kick a ball hard enough to break his sign. Literally came outside to tell us how expensive it was. Repeatedly. If he had come close to kicking a ball that hard I would understand but he was playing softly and I was watching him the entire time. Definitely not a family friendly place. We love the shakes next door at Twisted Root way better. The ice cream we ordered was gross and they were out of all the other flavors. Will never waste my money here again.

Hypnotic Emporium in Mansfield has the best ice cream ever! The owner did his very best to promote many other businesses in Mansfield during the pandemic. He wanted everyone to succeed. Unfortunately he lost his lease and has had to close. There are many of us that wish Billy the very best for his future endeavors.

This place was the best, hands down. I’m so sad they had to close and I will miss hanging out in the backyard area. Hypnotic Emporium was my only reason for coming there. You could tell, the owner really put his heart and soul into the place. They will be missed!

My boys and I love going and enjoying all the sweet treats. Billy was so nice a patient with my little one and I loved that his experience was just as important as mine. Thank you for wonderful breaks from our busy schedule.

Wow! Wow! Wow!Carrot cake ice cream was AMAZING. I loved this place the minute I walked in the door and smelled the waffle cones being made fresh. Plus all the vintage candy!!! Even though my kids are teens, I loved that they have a stepping area by the counter so that little kids can step up and see the choices. Great location, very nice and clean.

So incredibly sad this place is closing. I hope they find a new location. We always went here when we were in town. We are from Minneapolis and would stop by Mansfield when in Texas for this place and only this place. The owner has always been super friendly and down to earth, very sweet to my family and accommodating.

So delicious - unusual flavors that you can’t get just anywhere! I have to say though that my favorite was always the orange dreamsicles drink. So yummy and refreshing. Love this place.

Went in to get my kids cloud cones (ice cream scoop on a cotton candy cloud) on the weekend. I got a 4 chocolate shake made with Texas honey whiskey ice cream. Everyone was very happy with their treats. We like the variety rotating flavors they have alongside the mainstays. They have an eclectic collection of candy and soda, my only recommendation would be they need more chocolate.

Billy your ice-cream is the best but really makes this place amazing is your hard work and welcoming spirit. Always enjoyed our trips to Hypnotic Emporium. Will miss it.

I mean to tell ya...this place has it going on.......they know their ice cream is something more than a cold dairy treat, it is an art and they do it well....most importantly....if you go next door and eat a not-so-good burger...this place will make ya forget it! My wife and I drove over from Waxahachie specifically to have some good ice cream for her birthday. This was our first time to visit Hypnotic Emporium and will not be the last. Super friendly customer service, great selection of different types of ice cream. We will definitely be returning soon!

Not only do they have amazing ice cream, but amazing customer service. Felt like family. Came in with my husband and kids and they were looking at the old timey candy and owner came out and joked with my kids. It was so refreshing to have that kind of hospitality.

The ice cream was absolutely delicious. Very flavorful and creamy. Nice and cool inside and lots of seating outside and things to do for the kids as well. This is definitely a great place to visit especially during these hot months. There are clean bathrooms onsite as well. This is a great spot for any and everyone. Make sure you visit and support your local businesses.

We got the cereal killer and the peterbuilt both were amazing staff was friendly and the area outside is a great place to let kids play while they eat ice cream got horse shoes ping pong and plenty other games

Had great reviews. However, worst experience ever!! Ended up leaving. It appears that the shift the day prior did not close correctly. It was the first day for two young ladies, the owner pretty much spoke business while several of us waited to order and waited for their order to be prepared. Things said should never be said in front of customers. To make it even worst customers were made to feel bad for ordering shakes. Owner asks others to order a scoop to help him out. Customers come to your establishment and spent money to order what they desire. It was just unprofessional and a horrible first encounter.Update: I greatly appreciate your follow up Billy!

The ice cream and atmosphere were great. I love the outdoor area for games and visiting with friends. And the Bees Knees flavor of ice cream IS the bees knees. LEGIT. All of their flavors are pretty awesome.

Billy is awesome. The best ice cream in town. The atmosphere is great with the patio area and being downtown you can stroll up and down Main St with ease. Cartoons playing in the Pavillion on the tv, sometimes different food trucks available, can play a quick game of corn hole. I highly recommend.

Really good non franchise place. They had a Jack & Coke ice cream (alcohol included) which was really good. I didnt see plain Vanilla or chocolate which would have been nice.

We absolutely love Hypnotic Emporium! The staff is always so kind and friendly, and the ice cream is delicious! They are very dog friendly, and always provide your doggie with a bowl of water and some whipped cream. The outdoor seating is very extensive and always clean. Hypnotic is a great part of the Mansfield community!

My children love this place. My mom takes them down after school sometimes. We are ice cream lovers. You can tell when you walk in, it just smells great. There are steps for the kids to go up so they can look in the cooler. It’s eclectically correct. Check them out, Billy is the owner and he will make sure you have the best experience.

SO GOOD YALL! This place is THE CUTEST! Fun combinations, ice cream concepts, and super cool atmosphere. We ate our ice cream outside at the picnic tables and loved the whole set up. We will definitely be back for ice cream and look forward to the brewery, burger, and taco places opening up!

This place is ok. Nothing special. I think people come for the fancy names of their ice creams and shakes but it was very basic tasting. I’d choose Blue Bell over this ice cream. Wasn’t worth the 20 min drive.

Pretty cool place! Went on a sat night, and there was a live singer out on their very ambient community patio. Unfortunately the other stores were closed. Went because of a Groupon. Used it no issues. Got the lemon drop ice cream in a waffle cone. No complaints

Ice cream from here tastes delicious and freshly homemade with care.The owners kept their masks completely over their face and they washed their hands after making each customer’s order. Our family LOVES to go to Hypnotic Emporium in Mansfield! So many cool flavors to choose from (my personal fave is “The Bees Knees” (has lavender and honey taste) We’ve tried lots of different ice cream flavors and sorbets there (the blue raspberry was our sons favorite!) they also have delicious brownies! We love shopping local and we need to do everything we can to keep small businesses like this one open. Small business, HUGE HEART! 🍦
