Went to get an alignment, they said I didn’t need one and sent me on my way at no charge!! That’s HONESTY!!! Great bunch of guys!!

According to The boys the days of DYI are gone. The retail side is gone. Goodbye harf to find touch up paint and useful detailing supplies.

I go here for oil changes and general car needs, however they are not taking this pandemic seriously. Only one employee was wearing their mask properly, over the mouth and nose. Other employees didn’t wear masks at all. Customers are walking in and out without masks, not being asked to wear one. There was no hand sanitizer available.

I was able to get same day repairs at a fair price for my car!

I dont actually do reviews, but this one deserved it. The staffs are really helpful and nice! Fast service on top of the good deal they have on tires.

Called about a AC repair to get a price on the job. Called several other places to compare. Pep Boys said they couldnt do it. Had to replace whole system!!!!!! Will never go there!!!!

Had my car serviced back in March for an oil change and 4 brand new tires. Asked them to check the car out because I had just bought it. Not one person told me about anything they seen that might cause an issue with my car. Plus went to change my brakes a week ago and apparently they left my old wheel weights on when they did my tires. Wouldn’t recommend this place to even my worst enemy

Ran into trouble while in town and Mitch saved the day and got us up and running in no time. Thanks for your efforts Mitch, hopefully the company can appreciate your dedication!

We didn’t have any service done, but Alan and Tyler were absolutely amazing. Our car broke down and got towed to pep boys, which we then learned pep boys does not do transmission work. However, they were extremely helpful and did everything to make sure we were okay! Thanks guys, you rock!

I ordered tires online from Pep Boys since they had the tire I was looking for. Long story short...I get there at my appointment time and find out due to a computer glitch they dont have my tires..so the guys offered me a BETTER tire at an even BETTER price and pulled out similar size tires to show me the difference. Made my appointment...came back...they were done in 1-1/2 hours including alignment. The tires are GREAT..the service was GREAT. It was worth the 1-hour drive from Cleveland--I highly recommend these guys! Thanks Pep Boys!

Had to stop here 3 hours into a 10 hour trip. We were afraid our alternator was going. They checked our vehicle immediately and confirmed it was working safely. 7 hours later and we made it home safe and sound! Also they didnt even let us pay anything for their diagnostics! Great people!

Allen from Pep Boys is the best! This place is great for vehicle service and comes highly recommended from tow truck drivers as well as your average motorhead. I dropped my van off for an oil change this afternoon, and Alan or Allen literally ran back inside to let me know I was good to go,and even though I subsequently called and asked to pick it up the next morning, he still called and left a message that it was ready and what time they opened in the morning. Killin it Pep Boys!!!

New to the area, called for a last minute oil change they squeezed me right before close and even told me about an issue they noticed on the vehicle that needed looked at. Highly recommend these guys they actually care ❤

Me and my bf had the worst experience, we was traveling for out of town when are tire went flat. My boyfriend had called pep boys ahead of time to see if they could fix are tire and they said they could but one we got there, they was acting like they couldnt help use and told us that we would have to wait into tomorrow to get are tire replace and we was trying to explain to them that we dont stay in Mansfield and that we was just passing by when are tire just happened to blow. And the man didnt really seem to care. But luckily there was a very nice man by the name of James jr that works there, he decide to help us. His other employees was not happy that he was helping us. I will never ever go back to and pep boys for anything.

Wasnt really helpful. Left me standing by the seat covers looking dumb. I clearly wanted to buy some but couldnt get anyone to come over. Prices were ok though.

Took our cars here a few times for oil changes because we were getting coupons in the mail. Recently took our car back to a local shop to get the oil changed and found out Pep Boys has been saying we need 6 qts. Instead of 5 so we’ve been getting charged for product we don’t even need/use, probably because we had a coupon so they were effectively charging us more to make sure they got their money. Oil change was $12 less at the local place and had it done within the hour, Pep Boys usually has a several day wait period and then you have to drop it off there for the day and hope it’s done at a reasonable hour.Lastly, when we got new tires for my husbands truck, Pep Boys priced out at almost $1k but we got the same exact set for $750 at our local shop and that was mounted and everything.This branch is why mechanic shops get a bad rap...

Service was fast and friendly. Got some recommendations for repairs and I wasnt pushed into doing them right away. Will return for said repairs if my warranty doesnt cover them. Nice people.

I called on Saturday to get a tire put on because my back tire had gone bald. The guy on the phone quoted me $94.15 out the door. I thought thats pretty good price. I will go there Monday. I just left my car there at 8 am. When I dropped my car off I told the guy at the desk. I got quoted $94.15 and he didnt say anything. Well...they just got done with my car and the guy said it was going to be $101. and change...WHAT THE HECK! Also, he said. My car needed an alignment. Which I have a guy who does that for $30.00. So I didnt need it. Then he told me I had four lights out...two parking brake lights (they were working fine this morning)??? Also, my two license plate lights? Well. I have a new light bulb in the plate light and it only takes ONE light bulb not two...I guess they will not be getting any of my business anymore. He was going to charge me $50.00 to change four bulbs plus labor. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! PEP BOYS I USED TO LIKE YOU. I BOUGHT TIRES, HAD BACK DRUMS PUT ON MY CAR...SPENT $700.00 THERE LAST YEAR. I CAN DO IT MYSELF FOR $50.00 PLUS TAX.I AM SO SHOCKED!!!! I dont need to feel like I am being manipulated or scammed. This was not what I expected from them. I guess it depends who is on the phones and who is running the place. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

I give them a 5 star review because every time I take my car to them they r friendly and helpful Like today I got a flat an they did their best to squeeze me in and get me a new tire on my car and even fixed my drivers side door trim that had come loose which they could of not even bothered with this is why I take my car to them because they work hard and go the extra mile

Visited to warranty out a tire due to road hazard. They did not sell the tires I had installed less than a year ago, which was fine, however the additional cost was $78. One of the mechanics tries to suggest my idler arm was bad even though it was just replaced in August at a trusted mechanic. After paying the $78 I had to rush to a couple of appointments. I noticed quickly my transfer case was knocking. The tech installed a 70 rather than 75 which were on the car (they took a 75 off the rim). You cannot do this on all wheel drive vehicles. The manager downplayed the error, and said it wasnt the techs fault, they just install what is put in front of them? What tire guy. Who does nothing but tires, doesnt visually look at the tire and confirm? Then the manager said he would warranty out the wrong size tire and do the labor for free to correct their error. As if I should have expected to pay for their error but he was doing me a favor? Fast forward through a few comments about the miles on my car etc, he offered to let me speak to a different manager the following day when I was traveling out of state. The rest of staff was great.

Very helpful and answered my questions. Didn’t have to wait long and was on my way. I appreciate how timely and organized they are!

Great mechanics. I had an alignment 8 years ago and one two weeks ago. Both times the techs were spot on. You know pro tire techs when your car tracks right and the steering wheel is straight. Thanks so much! It drives me crazy when I get alignments and the steering wheel is not straight. Everyone here has posted ASE certifications from sales to auto repair.

The folks there were very friendly and helpful. Rocky explained the tool I was getting and was patient and understanding and made sure I was going to be able to do what I need to do. Jason checked all of my tires and made sure I was going to be able to be ok. I will buy from them again. I was very pleased with the service and friendly atmosphere.

People here are great. I do my own work and go there to get parts. Always have quality parts at a good price and intelligent employees. Anything you need they can get you. And even can give you fluid specs and info on projects you got going on. Only place I go to get parts. Travel from Ashland.

Tyler and his team are great to work with. Had oil service and new tires done here. Tires are amazing Goodyear Eagle quiet smooth and hold the road. Oil change fast and thorough. Need new tires for my other vehicle now and will definately bring my business back. Thank you guys for the great service!!!

Took good care of us and balanced my tires in a quick Maner.

We had a set of tires installed in December they did work we didnt ask to get done. After paying and leaving unhappy I noticed a horrible vibration( tire off balance), they were able to get me back in but I waited for nearly an hour. Everything was fine until I had the tires rotated then heard a loud clicking noise. Well, come to find out they stacked the wheel weights on top of each other and once tires were rotated the wheel weights were hitting the caliber.

Service is not worth it I had my exhaust fixed $1,763 and its been back three times cuz it keeps falling off and its falling off again and actually broke and theyre him hauling around on ordering the warranty replacement part want me to leave the truck there for 2 weeks and I do not recommend them other than four tires only

I bought a battery here 11 months or so ago. The battery was no longer functioning. They tested it and immediately replaced it under the manufacturers warranty. It took a whopping 2 minutes and they maintained a happy customer.

Just got home from my first ever visit to Pep Boys. I initially went for a new tire and to have it put on. When my car was put on the rack, they found that I had a broken strut mount. They were very kind and sympathetic as I was very upset and worried. One of the gentlemen there offered to replace it as well as still put the new tire on. Ended up getting a new strut mount, tire, alignment, and inspection for $300 dollars. They even gave me a discount on the labor and a better tire than the one I originally wanted for the same price. While I was waiting the team members were very nice and checked on me several times to update me about my car and to make sure I was alright. Overall one of the best experiences I have ever had with an auto store. I would definately recommend Pep Boys to anyone needing work done to their vehicle.

One person on the floor available to help. Employee that was available was very confused and had little knowledge. Offered to install part but did not know how to install it. Offered to come out and sent someone else out. Wont be back

Ran over a large bolt on the way into work. Called and made an appointment, they were able to get me in and patched the tire in about 30 mins for a fair price. Updated me during the process that a patch might not work due to the size of the bolt. However it did and the tire is still just fine weeks later.

I cant say enough good about these guys. They have never once up-sold me. Never charged me more than they needed to. Always help me make the most out of coupons. Do excellent work and never even charge me when I bring repairs back that need tweaked.

I had a gift card. Thats why I came here. Got my headlight. Didnt spend any cash cuz of said gift card. That made it a rather pleasant experience.

Was surprised that they took me as a walk in for tire repair after another place said tires/rims were too big after waiting a long time to get looked at (happened at WM). Done reasonably quick. Only complaint was it cost $23 when other places in area charge $10

Had a tire put on a rim I brought in. The people inside were very nice and helpful, but the labor charge was intense. For the cost of labor, I could have gone to KB Tire and had them throw on a used tire for less.

They did a great job putting in a tail light for me even though they were busy.

Went to get 2 front tires balanced. Talked us in to doing 4 for $38. Left PEP boys and still had a vibration. Had front end alignment done to make sure, still have vibration. Called PEP boys and they will not honor there work. No more PEP BOYS for us..

The manager Dan Was Very nice,a sales rep I believe Bryan was his name was awesome and fixed my headlight. Young blonde rep., was extremely rude. Another young man in service area wasnt the most friendly. So a mix of good and not so good.

Extremely disappointing Tire Service. Bought 4 high end tires, paid for mount and balance. After ordering the tires they said that couldnt get them but offered to sell me a more expensive tire at the same price. Get them installed an after driving on the tires over 45mph I thought my car was going to rattle apart. I took it to another shop to see what was up and two of the tires were bad. They ended up refunding the money on two of the tires but then with in 6 months the side walls blew out of the other two tires. Buyer beware here, they can not be trusted.

Ordered some tires from here due to blowing one out on a pot hole. Originally said it would be There the next day. After they didn’t come that day my order form said ‘tuesday.’ I called on Tuesday looking for them and was placed on hold and hung up on. Finally calling back they said they’d look and call me back. They never called back that day. Called the next day to find out where my tires were and they “couldn’t find them” so they had to re order them.

I waited, they seemed to be overwhelmed by the customer ahead of me. Ive never had any luck here.

This place is really solid. I took a vehicle there, because of excessive noise coming from the brake system. I told them to just go ahead and do a pick job. They called me, and told me that I didnt need a brake job, and that whatever I was hearing was definitely not because the brakes were badd. They cleaned and serviced the system, charged me only for the oil change I requested, and sent me on my way. Since then, the brake noise is significantly lessened. Maybe their cleaning of the brake system helped.

Called today around 5:30 and asked if they had my tire I needed for my car in stock and they said yes so I then asked when if they could install it for mes and they said yes but no later than 6:30 bc they close at 7 so I drive to Ontario while its snowing outside and the roads r crappy so I can get my tire fixed so I can go out of town tomorrow only to find out that the guy that said he can install my tire had left and they only had one tech there at that time.... completely disappointed and will not return to pep boys. I recommend going somewhere else.

Its a repair shop that is owned by a corporation. Its hard to get the same service as a small mom and pop shop from a large corporation, but they arent any worse than the others like Napa and sears. For the people who say they are overpriced or this and that, its not uncommon to find things wrong with older vehicles, especially if you come in asking for an alignment. Things HAVE to be checked and anything that is loose has to be tightened or replaced or your alignment is worthless and a waste of money. Had that experience myself with my 91 ford. Went in for a $400 repair and ended up coming out the door at around $800. But you know what? My truck drives awesome now with the new tires and a good alignment. 3 stars because its not much of a different experience than I have had at any other repair shop. Its not stellar, but its not bad either. Its normal.

I came here because I caught a flat driving back home to jersey. I called and they were nice enough to take me in. One of the guys were rude but the other guy was very nice and helpful.

Put premium brakes on my ‘04 car, never asked once if I wanted the traditional or original brakes that would have been cheaper. Paid $550 for two brakes, when I was quoted the same amount for all four. When I called about the original quote, the tech on the phone said “that was a huge mistake.” Never offered to make it right, never even apologized. Horrible customer service. Take your car somewhere else.

Very very very overpriced. I had to pay well over 300 dollars for a simple hose replacement. Was told they had to flush coolant and a few other things. Be careful about what they tell you. You can go in for a simple repair and be told that you need 400 dollars worth of work before they can fix the part you brought it in for. Also everytime I have been quoted with a price for repair they call and say that they have to do this and that for an extra charge otherwise they cant repair it. Total scam.

I came here for an oil change a couple of weeks ago, and even though I found it frustrating that they didnt tell me when the job was done, even though I was in their waiting room, and I had to approach the counter, I went ahead and scheduled an alignment because it is close to school and I could get it done in between classes, without having to leave it overnight. I also, wrongly, assumed that a corporate auto shop wouldnt try to screw me around. On the scheduled day, I dropped off my car, and left, having been told that the job would be finished in an hour and a half. When I returned, my car was still on the rack, untouched. They let me know that my tie-rod was broken or almost broken and my bushings were shot, that nothing could be done until that was fixed, plus shocks and struts, and two new tires. Grand total: $1200. I asked could any of the critical stuff be done first, and work on the other stuff later. No. They wouldnt touch it without a starting point of $1000. Dont get me wrong, I was aware that there was something going on that an alignment wasnt likely to fix, but cant do anything for less than a grand sounded WRONG. So, I had them give me back the car, and they comped the consult. They lovingly wished me a real safe drive home. I took it to another mechanic, telling him tie-rods and bushings. That mechanic told me that neither of these things was broken nor critical, and fixed the rocker arms and did an alignment for less than HALF of what PepBoys wanted from me initially, miraculously curing the problem that I was aware of. Shocks and struts a good idea but not CRITICAL. So I am left wondering, why did this happen? Was I taken for a mark? Whose Grandma is out there using PepBoys, because they seem like such nice young men? There are nice letters on the wall of their waiting room, presumably from little old ladies who didnt know any better. All Im saying, at length, is to get a second opinion. And I personally, will never walk into a PepBoys anywhere, ever again, and advise everyone I know the same.

They told me that they needed to replace my worn out brakes and rotors. i took my car to a nother mechanic who showed me that my brakes and rotors were just fine. I have documentation from pep boys and from the honest mechanic proving the deception. Pep boys promised a refund of the inspection $23.53, but I did not see if refunded on my credit card statement. I would never let them look at my car again.

I was quoted $28 for an oil change and they tried to tell me that it was $58 when I went to check out. also did work that I did not want other than an oil change so added more thus the reason it wasnt 28. I also asked them to put air in my tires which they did not do . Then told me that I needed new tires when I do not. I know how to change my oil as well as the other fluid. Just go to your car dealership and get it done. Would cost the same for a tire rotation and an oil change. I am incredibly unhappy

This place screwed my car up so bad they place that fixed it had to look up why it was so far outta alignment on internet n it said it had to have been done in previous alignment(done at Pepboys). Went through 3 sets of tires n they said it was my fault saying bad struts. Guess what nothing wrong with my struts, had 3 other car places check them.

Worse place ever. They have had my van since the start of April and here we are half way through June and I still dont have it back. We have to be the one to call to get up dates when they said they would call us. They did work that I did not authorize. They also put a part in from a junk yard instead of me buying a new one that I know will work more than six months. Now I have to pay for something that should not take two months to do and a part that is not going to last six months. I will never again use Pep boys for anything for my car.

It was rubbing against the tire. The tire wires were already popping...)I had been at Sears Auto Center, across the street 5 min prior to finding Pep boys.4 strong looking, young, dudes stood around and told me they could not help a 50+ year old lady in distress, because I knew something was wrong.Criss saw my distress. He took the Van, checked it out, with HIS MOUTH open told me what was wrong!He didnt charge a penny to check it out and let me know what was wrong, so I could have it fixed.Had Criss not done this, I believe terrible things could have happened!!Thank you so much, Criss!!!

I took my 2010 chevy Silverado to this shop. I was told one day that my truck was fixed and ready to go, only to find out the problem still remained. I went inside and told them the issue wasnt fixed and left it there again. The actual manager called and told me that the assistant manager had no knowledge of the issue and shouldnt have released the vehicle. So yet again they tell me that they will diagnose and continue working on it. Once again the manager told me that the codes are cleared and all of the messages and check engine light is off. I paid for the repair the second time and took my truck to burger king across the road and once again everything came back on. I stalled twice on Lexington springmill rd and luckily was able to pull into the dennys parking lot. This business is horrible and i would never reccomend anyone waste their hard earned money or time here.

The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, their prices are ridiculous! They quoted me $500 for an oil change and spark plugs! I laughed out the door. Just got done doing everything myself for $160. The quote included over $300 just for labor! I won’t be back.

This is one of the few places around the Mansfield area I would trust to service my vehicle. And if they make a mistake like everyone does eventually theyll make it right without a problem. Thanks a lot for your service guys.

Horriable customer services. No sense of urgency. I was taking my business vehicles there for many years and there was still horriable customer service. They would tell you one thing and then do another. Everytime they would give me a date and time of vehicle to be done they never were. No courtesy call to tell me other wise. Everytime there was a problem the worker never there would get blamed. I got feed up one day and called the 800 number and they had the manager call me back? Made no since because I already spoke to the manager many times. Worst customer service I have ever seen in any business. Do not go there! There is plenty of other places with better pricing and better service.

Although they couldnt help me tonight because it was too close to closing time, they were sweet enough to try and help me get my window fixed. Ill definitely go back there oh, because they are very kind, and, like I said, willing to try and help.
