I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt compelled on this one. Ron and Connor where both great and very professional and considerate. This is not reflective of their service. We recently purchased a new car from this dealership. We put a $2k down payment on the car about two months back because they had no inventory. At the time, there was a $750 cash rebate. We patiently waited. The car was delayed a few times. The last time, we were told the car sat in the twin cities for a week because they didn’t have a driver to get it down to the dealership. When it came in, we drove down the next day and found out when signing the paperwork that the cash back offer expired three days earlier. Max at the dealership refused to do anything to honor this even though the delays were out of our control. In addition, we were charged an additional $40 beyond what we were quoted at the time of down payment. Max refused to give $1 to help make this right. I will not bring my business back here.

Taking delivery of a new Tacoma today! I had a great experience with Chris in sales and Connor in finance. This is my 4th new vehicle purchase in the last 11 years and it was by far the easiest, most pleasant, and most comfortable. I felt like I was Chriss focus for the duration of our time and Connor was very expedient with the finance. The last time I purchased a new truck, I had a terrible two hour long experience in the finance office having to repeatedly decline extended warranties (not at this dealership). I told Chris I wanted to avoid that, and he passed that along to Connor. I was in and out of the finance office in probably 15-20 min. All in all, I will definitely call Chris and Connor when Im ready to purchase again!

Lee was very friendly and helpful with the whole sales process. He was very responsive to all my questions. After about a month I had a check engine light brought it to my local dealer and got charged for something that was broke when I bought the Jeep from Heintz. Chris is great! He helped me through the process of purchasing my first car on my own. He came in on his day off, washed the car, made sure it had a full tank of gas, and even buffed out some scuffs on the paint (it was used, not new). Great experience working with Lee Dady. I inquired about a used vehicle that I found online. We live 4 hours away and were leaving for vacation so wouldn’t be able to come look at the vehicle for almost 2 weeks. Lee offered to bring the vehicle to us to test drive on his day off. We were able to have everything in place to trade in our old car and purchase the Heintz vehicle if we decided to proceed after the test drive. So my review is about the auto shop and they are really good! I have been going to them for the past couple months after a terrible experiences with another place (they broke a piece of my car and didn’t fix it even though I contacted them several times and they told me they would fix it for me for free and then ghosted me) and previously didn’t really go there because of worries about pricing but since I have a slightly older Toyota (it’s 12 yrs old) it’s better to go to a place that understands my car and honestly they do an amazing job and are really through and quick. I like that they always keep me updated as I wait, and the guys in the shop are always very friendly which is always a plus. I’ll probably keep going to them for as long as I have the car.

Heintz Toyota did a FANTASTIC JOB!!In October of 2020 I purchased a 2021 Highlander hybred from a dealership that I will not mention. We had very little interaction with the sales person. There was a couple of things that took months to get somewhat resolved. After the problems were somewhat resolved, I made the decision to upgrade from the Limited Hybred to the Platinum Hybred. I contacted the saleperson at Heintz Toyota(whom I had purchased from before) and told him the vehicle I was trading in(a 2021 Limited Hybred) and the Platinum Hybred I was looking for with options. He contacted me with the correct vehicle and options and would have for me in a couple days. The other delaership told me it would be about 2 months to get my vehicle. When I went to pick it up, Ron--salesperson, had everything ready and he spent all the time we needed to understand all the options in our car. He knows what hes talking about. After we were finished, we met with finance and had all the documents ready and we were finished shortly. Connor was very polite and professional in his role. I have very much enjoyed the experience with the team at Heintz Toyota. Ron, when my wife wanted to upgrade her RAV4, well be in touch. Thanks Heintz Toyota!!!!!!!

An almost 100 year old lady took her car into Heintz Toyota today. $850 later for an alternator and battery. Every shop around here is cheaper than that to get stuff replaced. $300 in labor for a job that wouldnt been more than an hour if that. Grandson called and talked to the general manager and he said everything was good. Talk about taking advantage of an old lady and 300 for an hour of work is ridiculous!

Brought my car in for an oil change, decent enough price.The technician who did the service check throughout my car had listed on the report that my cabin air filter was in the red but left no notes on why and hadnt listed the filter as replaced. When I got the car home I pulled out the filter to find a hole had been chewed through it by a mouse! I understand not adding to a bill without talking to the vehicle owner but if you find something that substantial it needs to at least be noted on the vehicle report not just listing it as bad. In a perfect world the tech would have brought this to my attention a little bit more efficiently. I left it at two stars because Im disappointed, but I will return for future services.

The mechanics are great to work with and I havent felt uncomfortable with any of the repairs or felt like I was being overcharged. Syncing all my keys, on the other hand, was a bit outrageous for labor. I would still recommend them if you were in the area.

Our experience at Heintz Toyota was TERRIBLE. They RECOMMEND UNNEEDED REPAIRS. They DO NOT VERIFY before giving recommendation and quote. Senior techs nor service manager verify if repair is needed while vehicle is in shop and prior to quoting estimates for repairs.The Service manager and General Manager DO NOT RETURN CALLS - EVEN WHEN TOYOTA CORPORATE EXECUTIVE TEAM TRIES TO REACH THEMOur college student son brought in his 2004 vehicle with over 189,000 miles for an oil change. Upon completion of the oil change, he was told that he had a cracked and leaking transmission and it would need to be replaced. He was given two estimates. One for a used transmission at the cost of $3145.45 and a second estimate for a rebuilt transmission at a cost of $5141.14. These costs are more than the value of the car.He paid for oil change and left. There was no transmission fluid added nor were there any discussions with him about the importance of checking the fluid level since it was leaking and not driving the vehicle without an adequate level of transmission fluid. If they believed the transmission was cracked and leaking, educating the consumer on this would have been important to prevent further damage to the vehicle.When he called us and informed us of status of vehicle we asked him to take it back and ask if they could send us pictures of the transmission. A tech did that and sent us the pictures. We showed them to our regular mechanic at home and he did not see any leak or crack. We drove to Mankato to pick up vehicle, brought it back home hours away and had it examined by our mechanic. It is NOT CRACKED and NOT LEAKING.We called and spoke to the Service Manager. He said that as the service manager, he needs to authorize all repairs over $500. This is well over $500. He said the Multi-Point Inspection is done as a courtesy to you by the oil guy. The tech took a quick look and thought it was leaking. The Service manager himself saw the poor kid who was trying to take a picture of this transmission yet never investigated WHY or verified condition of transmission.There is a big difference between a courtesy inspection and a disclosure that something looks amiss with the transmission. We would recommend that you have that looked at further and You have a cracked an leaking transmission and we can fix it for you for between $3100-$5100 on your 2004 vehicle with over 189,000 miles.The Service Manager asked us to bring the vehicle in for another inspection. We at this point already had it inspected by a reputable mechanic. Our son is busy with college academic and sports time commitments and we live hours away. The TIME FOR THE INSPECTION WAS WHEN THEY WERE IN POSSESSION OF VEHICLE BEFORE RECOMMENDING THOUSANDS IN REPAIRS.We incurred over $300 in costs to travel there from 6 hours away, bring the vehicle back home, have it inspected and return it to our son at school. Further calls to either the Service Manager or the General Manager were not returned.We contacted the Corporate Guest Experience VP and they looked into the situation and made things right.Calls placed from Toyota Corporate to the dealership were also not returned. They responded via correspondence which was minimal and did not address the core issues.CORE ISSUES -1 - REPAIRS RECOMMENDED WITHOUT VERIFICATION as to status of vehicle either by lead tech or Service Manager himself.NO TRUST THAT RECOMMENDED REPAIRS ARE ACTUALLY NEEDED. (OURS WERENT)2 - CUSTOMER SERVICE CONCERNS BROUGHT TO ATTENTION OF MANAGEMENT NOT RESPONDED TO IN A WAY THAT VALIDATES THE EXPERIENCE OF THE CUSTOMER AND BRINGS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.Toyota CORPORATE EXECUTIVE TEAM takes the Guest Experience seriously. They are not aware of situations unless they are brought to their attention.

I just purchased a new 2018 Highlander Limited Hybrid from Heintz Toyota and Marsha Hawker. This is my 3rd vehicle from Heintz and have always found them very easy to deal with. After shopping around different dealers in the metro area I had a good idea on what I was willing to pay and take for a trade in on my 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid. I wanted to deal local as with past purchases, anyway Max & Marsha met my offer and the deal was done. You wont be disappointed dealing with Marsha & Heintz Toyota.

I had sold my old car and I was looking to upgrade so I went to a few other dealerships in Mankato. The other ones were really pushy and tried too hard to sell me a car, to the point that it was just annoying. Other dealerships also had me fill out paperwork before letting me test drive a vehicle which also bugged me. Not at heintz though. They were very professional and I liked it. A guy named Greg helped us and he was not pushy, and let us do the choosing. And when we wanted to test drive a car he just needed my license, which was good because they didnt make me fill out pointless paperwork. Greg also answered any questions we had in a very polite manner. All in all I really appreciate how easy going and polite they were. I also get all of my car services done their and they do a great job all the time. I definitely trust them when my car needs service and I would highly recommend this place.

I have been doing business with Heintz Toyota for many, many years. I bought my first Toyota -- a Celica GT Liftback -- in the late 1970s. I am a big fan of Toyota vehicles -- as are the members of my immediate family. Besides the sweet ride I just mentioned, we have owned Corolla, Corona, Prius, Highlander, Yaris, Rav4, and now a new Rav4 Hybrid. These are such quality vehicles. This is the fifth car we have obtained through Laurie. She was her usual professional self. She is very friendly and knowledgeable and took time to review all of the changes from my 2014 Camry to the 2017. I love doing business with her.The rest of the people at Heintz have always treated us so well. I recommend them without hesitation!
Called and spoke with the parts department on the availability of a replacement part. Anticipating calling the same dealer back to order the part, I asked for the part number and they refused to give it to me. I guess last time I checked that was a service that dealers provide regardless of if you even order the parts that day or from someone else. Or maybe they only give out part numbers on discontinued parts? From now on I will order Toyota parts from a dealer that has a more friendly parts department.
I love this Toyota service center! They are always very friendly and are quick to respond for service inquiries. They are upfront on pricing and expected maintenance items. They take care of their customers. I continually go back because I can be guaranteed great service!

Hey Ive had a 1995 Honda Del Sol, sorry,, but Ive had 3 of these fun cars, got word that Heinz Collision and paint were very good. Mike D. Took the reins and properly prepd and painted my puddle - jumper. Got it looking like new even if it is that other Japanese car,. Which I truly appreciated, thanks again Heintz.

Wonderful experience! Laurie took the time to find us what we wanted with the best price. She answered all our questions. When we picked up our vehicle she spent time with us and went through all the settings on the console. They also replaced the back bumper after our initial visit, because when they were inspecting it they noticed it! That to us is service beyond whats expected. Highly recommend.
Excellent, honest service. Laurie and the entire Heintz team are great to work with. The service department even put our vehicle on the car lift, so I could personally inspect the under carriage. Old fashion service and value. They even delivered our vehicle to us over two hours away because we had some complications getting it. We will definitely make the trek from Stillwater to Mankato to purchase our next vehicle from Heintz Toyota of Mankato. Highly recommend!
