I enjoyed my experience so much, I felt compelled to write a review on it. On a whim I decided to go here and was met by the owner at the register. He greeted me and struck up a genuine conversation and asked what my name was, not to write it on the cup, but make a human connection. Not only is the owner a genuinely nice person (that I could tell from this interaction) but he made my coffee super quick. The coffee, that is where I was won over. I got an iced Carmel latte breve, this is the best cup of coffee Ive had in all of Manhattan. Plus it is like two dollars cheaper than other coffee shops. Extremey pleased with my experience.

Never stopped by before and Im glad I did! Hands down the best coffee Ive had in a LONG time. Got an iced latte and then a shot of espresso. The expresso hit me hard and Im a seasoned coffee drinker!! Dave was awesome and so friendly. The atmosphere was very nice, the prices were very good and the store clean. The only place Im going to get my coffee from now on!!!!!

AMAZING! I was just there to drop off a delivery, all exhausted being the Mombie. The gentleman gave me a free drink to keep me going. It was fantastic! I live for my next round of caffeine and Im excited to go back.

My daughter, granddaughter and I visited Brothers a couple of days ago. I was visiting, my daughter lives on base, she didnt know about the place. We wanted to go for coffee after church and I said lets find a non chain place. I like to support local small businesses. We found Brothers, a very warm, welcoming place. My daughter got a vanilla, caramel cappuccino and I got a lavender latte. We both hadnt had coffee in a long time and found the coffee very strong. We both couldnt taste our flavors well, when I asked for more sweetener, they gave me more no problem. I then ordered a hot chocolate for my gdaughter, it was given on the house. My gdaughter loved it.We ordered a grilled cheese with pesto for a snack, we shared. That was fabulous. The pesto and cheese grilled together the way they were almost made it taste like there was salami in the sandwich. The bread was nicely browned, cheese melted through, oozed out the side. Delicious!We ate there. Seating, nicely spaced. My gdaughter had a rocking chair, she loved it, of course. There is a piano in a cubby like space near the bathroom. I was going to ask about playing it because it wasnt locked. So I think its open for anyone to play. We noticed a private room that a group came in and went into.For me, I enjoyed the owner coming around talking with us and the other customers the most. Its a place I would become a regular, a home away from home, if I lived in the area.If I had been thinking clearer I wouldve taken pictures of our drinks and food. But here is the menu board, outside, and view of across the street.

This was my go-to coffee shop while I lived in Manhattan. One of the owners, Dave, is friendly and welcomed me to the area. All staff were always helpful and ready to suggest their favorite menu items.

The barista was very friendly. And the coffee was absolutely fantastic. The shots were perfectly pulled and the milk was steamed and poured in the Cutiest leaf. It was an amazing latte. The atmosphere was the perfect coffee house vibe as well.

Family friendly vibe. Nice decor, clean and the smell of coffee was amazing. I finally got to take my kids there and definitely, delicious coffee.

If you would like to support a business that lays off employees and then celebrates them leaving by all means please go here.I worked at sparrow for 2 and a half years and then transitioned into working for Dave at brothers. The menu is exactly the same, the syrups are exactly the same, the food is exactly the same. So the difference between sparrow and brothers is management and labeling.Overall I have worked at 5 different places since working here and I have never seen an OWNER treat their employees like this. So, if you are looking for a job I HIGHLY recommend applying somewhere else in MHK.

Sparrow is serving up some very good coffee! During my visit the barista was professional, helpful and friendly. The espresso I had was slung with the Alter Ego blend by Thou Mayest Coffee Roasters and the iced coffee was made with a single origin Ethiopian coffee from Second Best Coffee. Both were great! I really loved the large windows at the front of the store and all of the natural light they brought in.

Nice place to sit and work on homework and enjoy a coffee. It is close to campus. Staff are super friendly and are quick. Food is amazing.. I just tried the English muffin sandwich and it was amazing.

Definitely will go back. The Monte Cristo - scrumptious! Tried the Chai Tea latte, not my favorite but so many other options to try. Great atmosphere. Has a meeting room you can reserve. They somehow missed making my chai tea latte. Being new to the place and they were busy, I waited for it until I needed to leave. They apologized and fixed it promptly to go for me. Would have given 5 stars if hadn’t forgotten my drink. Next time I’m expecting 5 Star service as I didn’t see any other mishaps during the time I was there.

I love this place! The decor is so peaceful and stylish. Very inviting! I have a dear friend who lives out of state that has been buying coffee for my family somewhat regularly. It is always ready for pick up when we come! This trip we had family in town and we wanted coffee. We stopped at Brothers around 7 pm. They close at 8. At no point did we feel rushed or like we were a bother. We were greeted promptly! I asked the barista what her name was and she said Jaetlyn. She was super informative and her customer service was top notch! She then asked my name and thanked me for coming. As I said, I usually pick up coffee bags but this was my first time buying drinks. I got a chai latte and a lemon scone...WONDERFUL! Everything was made quickly and correctly. I enjoyed my tea so much that I came back a few days later and Jaetlyn was working. As soon as I came up to the counter she greeted me “by name” and asked what she could get started for me. I just want you to know that her customer service is what makes the experience. Thank you for going above and beyond in a world that doesn’t do that much anymore. We will be back!! (I am sorry if I spelled her name wrong) 5 stars all around.

I love this place! It is so warm and inviting. The owner, Dave, and all his staff are friendly and welcoming, and provide excellent service. The coffee is delicious. I highly recommend the lemon poppyseed scones.

Best coffee shop in Manhattan KS, I went to all coffee shops in town but no one beat sparrow. Very friendly staff with great coffee with lots of delicious homemade pastries (blueberry scones is the best) and if you looking for a cold drink, honey & lavender ice latte is the best.

Really wanted to LOVE this place, and it’s not love. The coffee just takes way too long for my liking, although I appreciate their slow drip coffee concept. The coffee is good but I don’t usually have the time to commit to waiting for it. Great place to go if you’re looking to relax and read or work on something though. Prices are fair and you cannot beat the customer service!

Super cute coffee house. Has a cozy, comfortable seating area as well as tables and chairs. The cookies are delicious and the latte was good. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Looking forward to visiting again.

It was overpriced for not that great of coffee. I got a sandwich, and it wasnt bad but not worth $4.50. The drink I got was an iced skim milk pumpkin spice latte. First, they made it hot when I specifically said iced, and secondly, the espressos roast was horrible—not going back. Too expensive for lousy quality coffee.

The sweetest coffee shop in MHK, hands down! The atmosphere is relaxing - perfect for studying, catching up on work, or meeting up with a friend. Sparrow makes all of their syrups in-house and crafts each drink wonderfully. If you’re looking for the perfect sip, the iced honey lavender latte is to die for!

Love this place, best coffee shop in town. Beautiful Not Neutral cups and dishes, and delicious coffee. (If youre not into coffee get their version of a dirty chai, its delicious!) Location has plenty of seating for casual conversation, homework, board games or group events.

The staff here is so friendly! Me and my fiance just recently moved to town, and this was the first coffee shop we tried out. Both baristas that were working were incredibly warm and welcoming to us. Loved the atmosphere as well! Definitely will be back!!

I love Sparrow. If youre looking for a genuine cup of coffee, this is the place. Ive tried all local coffee shops, but this is by far my favorite. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They could give you advice on the various coffees available and will grind the beans while you wait. Their muffins and scones are delicious. You can sit and read or do homework or just talk with a group of friends and no one bothers you. It is a friendly place.

This will always be one of my favorite slow bars. The new place is very familiar of the old one but its HUGE! Very modern yet warm and cozy.

So I work for Starbucks and I was blown away with the cleanliness and variety of coffees this little small town cafe had. Everyone was friendly and the lavender latte was PERFECT! One of the best Ive had!!!!

The coffee is always yummy and full bodied. The staff is always friendly. Theres nothing to complain about here. MHK is better for the coffee goodness they serve up here.

This is a coffee shop fit for a college town. A downtown feel, great atmosphere, friendly customer service, and delicious coffee are all contributors to an awesome experience. Slim in parking out front, but they make up for it with parking in the back. Definitely worth the stop.

I was in town on business and stopped here for coffee and a snack. The coffee was great and my colleague said the latte was very good. We were disappointed they didnt have any breakfast sandwiches, rather just yogurt, a couple cookies and muffins, and a few lunch sandwiches to select from. With that said we got the yogurt and the cheddar/ham sandwich and both were good. Free wifi was an added perk.

Best chai Ive had in a long time. Not too sweet or too bitter. The sizes are perfect too. I got a small chai and was extremely happy with what I received. Customer service was great too. Very friendly people who take the time to create a relationship with the customers. Very affordable as well.

Best lemonade! Friendly staff. Two problems with comfort: nearly all seating has hard, cold metal seats. The upholstered chair I tried out had a lumpy seat, probably due to broken springs. Second, ladies room was freezing, no heat vent I suppose.

Ive always liked sparrow coffee especially when they were close to the mall they had very delicious pastries and drinks but recently Ive had multiple experiences with ordering drinks, and not a friendly behavior from some of the baristas..

Ive been searching for a quiet, warm, peaceful coffee house for so long! Chai tea latte with honey and spice & grilled cheese incredible. The staff treated me like a queen.

The five stars are for the baristas! Normally, I have a great experience! However today I experienced something that saddened me and overall was just very distasteful. One of the owners spoke disrespectfully to one of the baristas. There weren’t very many customers in the shop and the Owner decided a group of people were being too loud and took it out on one of the workers. Situations like this make me wonder how the workers are treated behind doors, seeing how easy is was to speak in that manner to her in front of everyone. Sparrow has been my favorite coffee shop since I moved here and I will continue coming because of the phenomenal employees that really give this place life and comforting vibes. Although I saw it important to bring this up. We should honor our amazing baristas!

Brothers Coffee Co has a broad selection of drinks, from dirty chai to the best espresso sold in Manhattan Kansas. If you are hungry and want to try a different sandwich I recommend The Lyle. Give it try...you wont regret it

Walked in, great atmosphere. Ordered a cortado, watched the barista and after the shot was pulled (which seemed a bit quick to me and apparently to him as well) he proceeded to taste the shot, adjusted grind and other things, pulled another shot, until it was dialed in right. Another barista came in and made my drink and served me. I really appreciated them making sure to serve me the best possible espresso and not settle for good enough! His place is my favorite shop I’ve ever been to. Must come back before leaving Kansas...
