Nice small book store. Always enjoy going in and browsing. Hubby often finds something on the bargain table that he wants and buys. Employees are usually very helpful and nice. Not many book places around these days, so its nice to have a place to go into for those of us who prefer tangible books over digital!

I love this place!! Very clean and organized. The service was very good and when I asked an employee for help, they were courteous and informative.

Wow. Horrible experience. Will be going to Dusty Bookshelf every time from now on. The staff here kicked my fiancee out 10m before closing time and then locked the doors on her as soon as she was out. No explanation, no asking if she needed assistance. Just a We are closing and you need to leave. Shes a teacher and was just looking for books for her students.

It had all of the books I was looking forward to buying. Although, the once I bought so far didnt have a hard cover alternative.

Nice store, staff seems out of sorts. Cant locate items in stock from the storage rooms. 3 weeks and still awaiting a call on a book supposed to be in the storage room.

If you purchase an eBook, its non-refundable and you can only get an .acsm file that you need to have Adobe Digital Editions to read. They dont tell you this ahead of time. Keeping all my books in one place in kindle helps me keep up with reading assignments since I have multiple books per class, but now I have a whole new app to read one book.Havent had any issues with BAM before this, but its really frustrating to buy a textbook priced textbook and have it feel so inaccessible. I shouldnt need to do research on how to use a niche digital file and have a specific app for one textbook. Not the biggest deal in the world, but I wouldnt have bought this if I knew I wouldnt get a pdf and I wont be purchasing from BAM again since theyre not upfront about it. I feel like I just wasted my money

Growing up, I always loved going to the mall for one thing (Which was AFTER they took out the Toy Store and Arcade) and that was Walden Books. Then, once they closed down, it felt like the end of the world. Then again, Hastings was also a great store too, which was my favorite...But whats a mall without a book store? Im thrilled that Books-A-Million has a spot in the mall, and I feel like its my comfort zone and go-to store in the mall. Great books, great deals, and if they dont have something, you can still order it.

Decent bookstore - Smaller size than you might be used to, but still a nice store with plenty of books, games, journals and things alike. Still Wish it was a bit bigger, but the staff is friendly and they do have a discount program like Barnes and Noble has. A good way to spend an hour or so on a weekend afternoon.

I always enjoy going in here. The employees are super helpful and seem to enjoy what theyre doing. They usually have great recommendations on books I can read based on what I have read.

I ordered a book in July that was scheduled to ship before the end of August. By the end of September, I still had not received my book. I checked the order status online, which stated the same status Pending since the day I ordered it back in July. After contacting Customer Service, I was told I cannot cancel the order because it is Pending (even though it has been pending for 2 months), and that there is no limit to how long the item can be pending. I could be waiting indefinitely for my order with no means of canceling it. This is something I would expect if I were ordering from China, not from a bookstore within the US. Terrible customer service policies, and I will never buy anything from this company again.

Good variety of titles as well as periodicals and novelty items. One of the best magazine selections in Manhattan. They do a good job of providing engaging material for the younger audience as well, which is key in keeping our youth interested in books.

A very sweet & helpful young lady helped me find a book in The Broken Road series, & told me when the next would come out, showed me also where lemony snicketts, Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys books were. By the way, if she reads this : Go for it ( the pumpkin orange hair )- You CAN pull off ANY look! :)

I am from out of town but have been here twice on on two separate occasions. Once in Oct and just this week in Jan. Both times the employees were loudly complaining about customers. Doesnt exactly make a good impression.

Always a great environment and atmosphere. Book selection for being a small store is impressive but even if they do not have what you want always willing to try and order it for you or tell you where to get your book.

Has books for all ages and has competitive prices with Amazon. Has a great selection of books and some toys for children. They even have great by one get one half off or other on a changing variety of books!

Really good service, great discount stuff

I was talked about by an employee as I was paying for my books. An employee figured it was ok to discuss my clothing with someone else in the store. I wasn’t the only person she talked about while I was there. She also spoke badly about another woman (when I first walked in). It is a small store, but I heard it while I was at the back of the store. If you feel you must speak badly about people do so a bit more quietly or on your own time. It’s rude and it shows how insecure you are as a woman if the only thing you can do with your time is rip other women apart. In all honesty she was the only person I heard talking about me, the man she was talking with either was just listening to her vent or he had the decency to speak in a tone that is meant for private conversation. The cashier was very kind and friendly as well. The store has a decent book selection for how small it is. I’ve been there before to purchase books and this was my first time that I experienced that behavior.

This place doesnt come off too bad compared to Barnes & Noble. The Topeka BN might have more floorspace but much of it (too much perhaps) is used for non-book purposes: coffee shop, calendars, home decor (back in September 2018 they were even selling school supplies, for heavens sake!). So while BAM might be smaller, the selection of books is still very good, plus they actually concentrate on selling books and magazines, rather than anything and everything under the sun.

Employees are always so nice and helpful when Im looking for a book. The store isnt huge but they will order books for you, if you cannot find them.

Small store with limited availability. However they have a wide variety with most of the popular titles. They sell everything from magazines to bookmarks to even book related memorabilia. Overall a good store and worth a trip to visit.

Do not work at this place. My wife worked there for several months and it was wonderful until her car broke down and she needed rides home from work because the bus isnt still running by the time they close. Her co-workers constantly made her feel inferior because she was being a burden and even suggested that she walk home....its a 4 hour walk from our house to the mall (I know because we walked it once) and they were telling her she should walk home at 9:30 at night. Plus, the pay is awful and you dont get hardly any hours.

Far less odd a selection then other books a million that Ive been to but still a good place

Always friendly staff! All the books Ive gotten have had retail pricing not far from the slightly cheaper online shopping version. Also carry cool little fun things besides books as well. I get all my manga there and they have a great selection of that and comic esc items.
