I bought fridge not even a year ago and ice start to build up on top, i called but the staff wants me to turn off fridge and defrost its every other week which is not helpful. I regret buying from there, now they dont want to fix it neither take it back even at low price. Should have bought from reputable company.

I bought a refurbished fridge from this place at a bargain price. The deal was so good. Even the fridge works well. But the customer service was horrible. They were so rude in talking. I have never used strap to tie up the fridge on the back of pick up truck before. I asked them to help me to use it properly. The guy at cashier was busy at his cell phone, didn’t even looked at me and after 30 seconds told me “If you don’t know how to use, why did you bring it?” I told him that he is being rude with me. Then he asked his helper to help us. His helper was such a short tempered guy, difficult to deal with. He went up in the pick up truck and made me hook the strap, tight it on the other side. The way he was treating me was like a boss ordering his employees in rude manner. When I missed what he told me to do, he yelled at me. I was helpless. I felt so bad. Though I got the fridge in cheap price, these guys hurt me with words. The worst ever customer service experienced in my life time. This is the reason I rated this place with one star only. I’m never going back to this place again. I would prefer to pay extra bucks and go to Home Depot/ Lowe’s or other stores now on.Give respect to the customers please.

The website showed that this location has in stock what I wanted and when I arrived I was told that they are all under repair and that they only carry refurbished refrigerators at this location and would have to drive to another location gor the scratch and dent and new, This is not what the website displayed. Huge waste of time driving through all those traffic lights to get there. I will not trust their website. It is so important to keep inventory true on a website and is super easy to do.

I just came to this place to buy a gas stove and microwave, delivery and installation. After I paid and left the establishment the guy called me back to tell me that his dad had sold to stove to someone else before me.... I just went back and get the money. Now I know why they have such a low ratings. Thats not the way of doing business. When I went back they still did not have a sign on the item as Sold

I bought a washer and dryer but then couldnt use it as my complex changed their mind. I contacted better appliances the next day to refund my money. They said they would take care of it. That was 10 days ago. I contacted them twice since then and the said they did refund it. They havent sent me out any notice showing the refund and my credit card company hasnt been sent anything either. They said they usually receive it with 2-3 business days and takes another 2-3 to process it. Well its been ten so its obvious they havent tried to return it yet and theyre not answering their phone.Update: it wasnt until I left this review that they called me and sent the text confirmation of a refund. Again 10 days later.

DO NOT GO TO Better Appliances. I had the worst customer service experience with them. I bought a Frigidaire refrigerator and when they delivered it the freezer door handle was missing. I asked the guy who sold me the refrigerator when he was going to deliver the door handle and he said he needs to check with the tech. I texted and called every day for almost 10 days and got very few responses. On the 10th day I called and the guy said Theres nothing I can do. and he hung up on me. At least he could have given me some refund for the missing freezer handle. Horrible customer service and very unprofessional.

Great price on a quality item. Many choices from refurbished to new. Also a decent scratch and dent selection of new items. Definitely recommend if you need an appliance on the cheap.

Our Samsung Sideloader went out. Cane with house that we bought 5 years ago and didnt like it anyways. Bought a LG top loader for a great price. Very big the drum and has been working great the last 6 months. Delivered, installed, and took away old for a small fee. Worth it! Would definitely buy again!

Worst place on these planet. You will get an headache dealing with these people and time wasted. I would give 0 stars. I went to get ah washer and dryer from these place. They came 1 day late. They brought ah dryer that was not working. Would not turn on. Return it.Gave me such ah hard time to get my money back. They deducted the delivery fee. Even though these was their fault giving me ah defective dryer. Its much better to get new ones at lowes. Just ah few bucks more. And wont give you junk. My advice avoid doing business with the place. Save your time money and headaches.

Bought a washer that broke after 10 months. Called and they sent a repair guy the same day. Even though it couldn’t be repaired, we were able to swap for another very easily and everyone was pleasant. I like that although the washer broke, they honored their warranty and were so responsive and helpful. Getting ready to purchase a dishwasher from them.

Bought a fridge and like another customer I saw was told it was like new and was cold the first week then turned Luke warm and freezer compressor keeps freezing. I have had to throw away a lot of food twice now and am getting upset that money is being wasted and it’s taking away from my kids being able to eat. Please fix it.

These guys are great! I found a fridge online and did a Facebook chat with Abdul. He got back to me right away and was able to answer all my questions. I set up a time to come by the next day and he even followed up to confirm. He has a huge selection - its crowded in there, but they moved stuff around so that we could see everything clearly. They took great care of us! When I called the next day to order a fridge, they were able to deliver it the same day. I saved well over 50% and it only has 2 minor dings. I am super pleased and will be back for future appliance needs!

Amazing! I found this business when I was searching Facebook Marketplace. I checked out the website and thought it was too good to be true. I was able to message Abdul and got a super fast response. He helped me find the washer and dryer I was looking for. I was able to pay and set up delivery within minutes. They 2 delivery men called when they were on the way. They were actually on time too! Both men were very friendly. The washer and dryer came in new packing and were brand new! They even will haul away the old appliances. They installed my new washer and dryer and even turned them both on to ensure they both worked. One of the men even gave up pointers on how to keep the washing machine clean and told us the correct soap to use. Better Appliances gave us a 1 year warranty. I am confident if any issues were to arise, I will be taken care of. Overall this is the best experience I have had with a purchase and delivery. Very friendly staff and wonderful customer service. Great pricing! Would recommend!!!

Delivering my daughters washer and dryer you were late...then another appointment set up a few days later because the junk dryer is not heating up and you were supposed to be at her house between 6 and 7 and its already 8pm and youre service person is no where to be found..she rushed home from work to make sure she wouldnt miss her appt and nobody had the decency to pick up the phone and call her...Your services totally suck!!

I am both disappointed and disasatisfied this far. I had previously purchased appliances for my house and went back for a dishwasher. At first the delivery schedule did not work with mine. When I did get the dishwasher to my house the plug was incorrect and it did not have an insulation blanket. I went to the store to choose another one.Once again, waiting to have it delivered (2 weeks). Once I did get the machine installed and tried to use it, it has not worked. Called and spoke to Abdul and he said a repair technician would be coming out to look at it. Followed up with Abdul on Fri for Sat appt. Called Sat morning to get an actual time frame, he said around 4 or 5. Called back at 5:45 and now my calls are going directly to voice mail which is full!My goal is to have this resolved with a working dishwasher.

I was referred by a friend of mine to check these people out. I have many rentals and am a Realtor with clients that are in need of reasonably priced items that are sold her. ALL OF MY CLIENTS AND MY SELF have been over the top delighted with their service, professionalism and the quality of the merchandise with a 30 day warranty on most purchased items. Hats off to them for being one step above a lot of stores!!!

Stay far away from this place. They operate out of Manassas and the surrounding DMV area under the same name. Scam artists at best. You may luck up and get a good deal but buyer beware. I purchased a wall oven and had it delivered and installed. Multiple problems from the start. First of all the bottom oven did not work. No heat. Not light. Nothing. The lower door was obviously repaired (even though they said it wasnt). The lower door handle and glass panel was apparently repaired by a 10 year old with a glue gun. Multiple calls to the stores to resolve the issue has gone nowhere. Going to issue a scam alert to craiglist and other sites carrying their listings. Update 12/4: the initial google review inspired a return phone call to wifey. Someone named M. saw the review and called back. Wifey said he was a little disturbed at the review. Previously, BestAppl said they were going to open a claim with the oven manufacturer. She asked for a claim number...crickets from M. I am envious of the owner because he is a very busy man. Every time I ask for him he is on vacation, in a meeting, down the street, out to lunch...I wish I had his life. No one else in the store can do anything. Cut and pasting this review to FB and YLP now. Taking one for the team folks.

I bought a new, scratch and dent washing machine at the Manassas location. The cost was about half the MSRP, and that included delivery, hookup, and hauling off my old machine. I also have the same warranty I would have with any new machine.The machine worked as promised, but within a week I was unable to wash anything and an error message popped up on the control panel. I called Abdul, the manager who sold me the machine, and he offered to get a repairman out the same day. I couldnt wait for a technician that day, so we agreed to the next day, and Abdul gave me his cell number so we could keep in touch via text.I got a text before the tech came out. Oscar came and immediately saw that a spring which holds the door gasket in place was missing. He apologized and said he would be out tomorrow with the spring. This was a bit of a miscommunication, because this was on a Friday, and tomorrow would have been Saturday. Oscar meant he would be out the next working day, Monday.He came out Monday, popped the spring in place, tested the machine, and all has been well ever since. Its been about a month since Ive had the washer, and it does everything Abdul said. When a problem came up, the shop dealt with it. And since its in my basement, I couldnt care less about the scratches. This has been a great deal overall. I would definitely buy there again.

Do not EVER purchase from this company! Delivery time was scheduled between 12 and 2, they did not get here until AFTER 5 pm! I took off work to make sure I was here for the scheduled delivery time. After delivery I use the dryer and it takes multiple cycles to dry not even half a load of clothes! I was told someone would be here after 4 to look at the dryer. I call at around 5:15 pm to see when someone would be here, I got told between 6 and 7. Im writing this review at 8:25 and theyre STILL not here. I called before 8pm, since their website states they close at 8 and no one picked up the phone. These people are VERY unprofessional and inconsiderate. Take your money elsewhere and invest in better quality and better customer service!

Live in Ft. Valley VA but have family in Manassas. I needed a washer and was on line looking for brand and capacity when these guys popped up. My sister went to the store to do a visual for me and sent pictures. Unfortunately the 2 washers I was interested in had already sold, but was able to find another brand that was larger at same price. (new with a dent doesnt bother me). With a deposit of half down (thanks sis) they were willing to hold the machine for 5 days until a visit to Manassas to deliver a load of firewood to my dad and pick up the washer.. so far so good. (After I get the machine home and it works Ill give 5 stars.)

I ordered a brand new fridge. They were 3 hours late for delivery then, after about a week, my fridge was Luke warm and not cold at all, and I had to throw alot of food away. I called to have them come look at it, and they never showed up. Horrible horrible place to buy from.

Dont waste your money I bought a washer and dryer in 2 seperate purchase each one of them broke down and you got to haul back to fix, they look new but stink up your cloths, no refunds or swap. This place is not worth getting used, better off looking on craigslist for a used appliance from someone selling clearly the reviews tell the quality of this store/products, it was my fault not to read before hand.

I am very disappointed with this company. We checked with them about purchasing a laundry center (stackable washer dryer unit). They had one that had not been checked in yet, that we purchased and told us it would be ready to go that following tuesday. So we went ahead and purchased it, and my husband went back Tuesday to pick it up. We purchased a kenmore but when my husband went to pick it up, they gave him a fridgidaire. Never said they switched it out. Realized after he brought it home that it was not the one we purchased. We called they said the one we purchased was having a problem so they replaced it with this one. They told us previously with the kenmore that it would be tested, ran, and cleaned up. We looked at the one my husband was given, the foot on the bottom is missing, the water intakes were both full of what looked to be sand and dirt, we had to change the electrical cord...which the screw was almost impossible to get off, it finally just snapped, we took the cover off to attach the exhaust vent, and it was covered with dust, there was tape residue left on the dryer door. Cmon guys I know you can do better than this. I had to take care of all the cleaning you told me you would do before I could use it. If you would be willing to refund part of my money, I would be willing to change my rating. Otherwise I will not be buying anything here again.

I am disappointed in this company. I understand that the warranty is limited & as is but when they say brand new open box I didnt expect to have the experience I had. First the delivery guy was 2 hours late. He mishandled the appliance. Didnt use a Dollie to move it just dragged it out of the truck then put it on the Dollie once out. He placed the appliance where we wanted and to test it pressed the buttons with such force & carelessness that I was afraid he was going to break it. I kinda felt rushed. Unfortunately my husband was not home to help inspect as he had to leave & couldnt wait since they were 2 hours late. Upon inspection with my husband we found that the bottom drawer of the stove was broken, there are 2 legs broken, scratches on both sides of stove & a dent on the back splash of stove. I reached out to them the next day as the store was closed by this point & their response was basically well its a scratch & dent model (which was NEVER told to me) as it said brand New open box & if I want to go all the way to Alexandria they may have some extra parts we can get. That is about an hour away. I just said forget it & will purchase the parts needed.Take it from me.... pay the extra $100/$150 for a brand new one at a reputable store.

Ive been very successful with getting great customer service and guaranteed, clean functional used appliances over the past 5 years from Better Appliances.

The items have more than just dents, realy in bad shape and without AC in the store the appliances seems to be more affected.

This place is terrible. I drove 52 miles to pick up a fridge from here. I had messaged the night before and told him I was coming in after work to pick it up. As I was on my way up we were messaging on Facebook about the fridge and as soon as I walked in the door he said he sold it an hour ago. DUDE, FIVE MINUTES AGO YOU HAD IT.. what a jerk. Then he tried selling me a fridge I didnt want for $75 more than the one I wanted. When I said no and walked out the door he started throwing out all sorts of prices.. most of the appliances looks really gross too, even the one I was supposed to get looked very shady. On the up side Im glad I didnt buy it because the overall feel of the place is dirty, and appears to be of a chop shop atmosphere.

I purchased (2) appliances from these guys for 450.00. Both units broke down and needed costly repairs within a few months of purchase (past any warranty period they offer). The refurbished work was not done to a high standard and led to the washer frying a 259.00 circuit board. Improper grounding of the newly replaced washer motor. I also had to replace the pump in the washer. The dryer circuit board fried first and I repaired that myself for 130.00.To be fair they offered to sell me another washer and would throw in an extra month warranty but I declined. I use a washer and dryer once a week so this is outrageous that these units wouldnt at least last a year. These guys sold me junk. I will never buy another used appliance from Better Appliances of Manassas Virginia 20111.Better appliances they do not sell.
