Absolute Perfection!Craftsman Upholstery created and installed a custom headliner, carpeting, shifter boot, and floor mats for my 1954 Chevrolet 3100 pickup that I am restoring. Before I let anyone work on my truck, I have to be convinced that the quality of the materials is first rate and the workmanship is perfect – it also helps when the folks doing the work are as enthusiastic about putting a 61 year-old truck back on the road as I am.Because I plan on driving the truck regularly – and entering it in car shows – my requirements were very precise. The materials must be rugged enough to withstand regular use, easily cleanable for shows, and the materials must be “show quality”. Needless to say, the workmanship must be flawless. Eric and his crew excelled on all points. The headliner is a perfect match for the color I wanted and the transition from dashboard to headliner is seamless. The carpet is plush, but easily cleaned and it is expertly fitted to the complex curves and angles of the firewall and kick panels. The effect is Absolute Perfection!As you know, there are only three or four high quality upholstery shops in the DC area that will take on custom work – and I visited them all. What initially set Craftsman apart is that everyone here is a “car guy / gal”. They understood what I was doing and were enthusiastic about being a part of my restoration. Although I had a very specific idea of what I wanted, Eric offered some great suggestions on styling that were far better than my own.As you might expect, Craftsman Upholstery is a busy shop and you may need to wait a while before you can get in. Don’t despair. Eric is straight forward about what jobs are in the queue and when he can get you in. I waited a few weeks – and the wait was well worth it.Finally, even if you’re not looking for custom work, you should check out Craftsman. I would not go anywhere else for ultra-high quality auto, boat, or RV upholstery work. I paid a very reasonable price for truly top-notch work – and that’s a combination that is hard to find anywhere.

I have been working with Erick for years. Everything from custom work to standard repair. His work is flawless. Easy to deal with and reasonably priced. He is in demand so there could be some time involved in getting to your project but the wait is worth it!
