The guy that worked Thursday Sep 16th 2021 was very nice to work with. The Madison store is worth the drive if you live in Janesville. Lots of beds to choose from. The store doesn’t pressure you. 5 stars all day long. At least 3 different brands to choose from.
Waited 10 months for our order. Received a phone call order came in. Week later received a email informing us our order had beeñ cancelled and charged us a 15% restocking fee. Called the store and got absolutely no help. If I could give negative stars I would!
Shopped on a rainy day. One other couple in the store. Had as much attention as I wanted.Enough but not to much. Everyone wearing masks which was good. Narrowed it quickly down to two. Spent 30 minutes deciding on the two. Knowledgeable salesperson...Chris. Almost 20 years experience. Answered all questions patiently. Not pushy. Decent prices. Charge machine wiped down between customers. Im happy with purchase of mattress and experience.

Chad was such a helpful sales person at the West Madison Mattress location. I went in not once or twice, but three separate times to try the mattresses and ask questions. Each time he was polite and not pushy. He answered every question and made me feel good about spending my hard earned money. In fact, he remembered me each time and never made me feel like I was bothering him. All in all it was a fantastic experience.

It was a rainy late afternoon so I was the only customer. The salesperson gave me a friendly greeting and asked what I was interested in. I already had a good idea of what I wanted and told him. He showed me three nice mattresses and explained the features and qualities of each. I tried them and found one that I liked. He then asked who the mattress was for and I explained. He made a good suggestion and I tried another mattress. It was even better. Then he asked me about the height of the bed for the person who would be using it. He made another very good suggestion and that was it. None of his suggestions was aimed at adding expense to the purchase, and in fact the last suggestion lowered the price. His suggestions added qualities that I feel will make the user very happy. I was pleased with his professionalism, friendliness and his efforts to meet my tight timetable for delivery.
Helpful, knowledgable staff. I cant say anything about the actual mattress yet. I went with their store brand of dreams, but it seems like a good price, and the 120 night replacement deal seems good.
I “worked” with Chadwick and am very disappointed that his mistake is going to be costing me additional money. His failure to remember information I told him, and per his own statement when I called later to discuss is information that he would have received had he done his job properly, now needs to be remedied. Had Chadwick done his job properly, I would have been able to purchase everything I needed and have it delivered once. Instead, the only solution he offered was to go back in and purchase the remaining item, through him of course, and pay an additional delivery fee. My mistake was trusting Chadwick’s “expertise” to guide the conversation on purchasing an item his store sells exclusively; his mistake cuts to the core of his job and now, I’m left with another bill.
Folks here were great. Gave us a ton of info for each mattress, let us try each mattress we wanted for as long as we wanted. Never was rushed. Even helped us with new pillow selection pulling out all the various types. Very happy with our visit for such a large expense.
I went into the store k owing I wanted an inner spring mattress, and that was all. I didnt know which brand was better. The sales person whos name is Jeff, came to my rescue. Long story short, I purchased the most amazingly comfortable mattress. He even threw a pillow into the deal as well. I highly recommend Jeff, and Steinhafels Mattress Store.
I went to Steinhafels Mattress Store on Mineral Point Road with my 81 year old mother who has Parkinson. Jeff Gilbert was very patient and knowledgeable in helping her select her new Beautyrest and power base. She realized how terrible her old mattress was, and the assist on the power base would make her life easier. Thank you for your patience Jeff!! I would highly recommend this store for your new mattress!
The people at Steinhafels were VERY helpful. I had bought my mattress with a 4 month trial option. After 2 months I found that the mattress was too firm. I was worried that they would be unhappy about my exercise of the return option (there is a $150 restocking fee), but they were very understanding. They had also been very helpful when I had asked for a lower box springs the day that the mattress was delivered. Today I purchased a less firm mattress from them. Again they were very patient and helpful as I spent a lot of time comparing mattresses. Thank you very much to both Chris Hansen and hismanager!!!

Took 2 calls to Steinhafels to confirm what I wanted was in stock and could be picked up. When I arrived at the store it wasn’t in stock and I had to drive to a different location. The salesperson could not have cared less.

Was helped by a nice guy named Chris. I felt comfortable during my visit and didnt feel like he was using any aggressive sales techniques. It is worth knowing that the Try It At Home warrantee requires the purchase of one of their mattress covers and, if you return it, a $150 restocking fee. We ended up buying a mattress, and we even managed to redeem a price match.I would recommend this place.
At this location, we dealt with AJ and were happy with his service. He doesnt seem like a sales person and was honest, knowledgeable, didnt seem like he was selling us a line and based off our current situation predicted the mattress he expected wed like best. He left us to decide and we didnt feel pressured.This was, frankly, in contrast to our other experience at Steinhafels on the east side where there was less explanation, felt more rushed and although that salesperson was consciousness to stay within our budget, sold to us quickly and we felt like it was less of our decision.
I was in the store a week ago and no one came out to see if they could help me. I went again yesterday and got very good attention from chadwick. He explained the very confusing sale ads, in that almost all exclude mattresses. I had been at the store on the belt line after my experience last week, and I tried to call with a question. There was no phone number on the salespersons card and I found out if you call you get a call center. I did leave a message and it has been over a week and I still have not received a call back from them.
