Cheap rx costs compared to walgreens, cvs, etc. Also a local business and it shows as they are a lot more willing to work with folks and treat them as a community member not just out for money. Very friendly and prompt.

Update: I think it’s important to note that the pharmacy is making efforts to address the concerns I noted in my original review. The pharmacy manager did reach out to me and sought to gain my perspective on the interactions that I have had at the pharmacy. She verbalized an intent to attend to my concerns with staff. Hopefully things go better for folks in the future.Original Review:I wanted a 2.5 star option here, but given that the pharmacy is the negative end and there can be big issues when a pharmacy has an issue, I tipped down instead of up. Definitely the place to go if you are looking for herbal remedies for whatever is troubling you. They also have some nice smaller gift type items. The retail staff are friendly and generally do their best to help. However, the pharmacy itself is a bit of a gamble. Some of the pharmacy staff are knowledgeable, compassionate, and take the time to work towards excellence. Unfortunately, I have had enough experiences with pharmacy staff who have either totally disregarded me or who have insisted on things that are not best practices such that all I can do is walk away frustrated. The wait can be just as long as any of the chain pharmacies and it’s the same coin toss as to the quality of service.

Always a treat to go here. They have a great bulk dried herb selection and an soaps, in addition to my favorite options for toothpaste, reusable floss, hair henna, feminine products etc.

The staff here are extremely knowledgeable and helped me navigate a wide variety of alternative remedies. I would not have known what I was looking for without them. Thank you so much--you all provide a great service to this community!

Great place if youre a junkie as its clear that who they cater to. Was told they would only sell me a product if I was going to using it as drug paraphernalia, but since I had said I was using them for art they would not sell to me. Like really? And still took 10 min for the lady to ring up to 3 things I had. Will not ever be returning. Its a shame when there is so much support for drug abusers yet huge resistance when clean and sober persons are shopping or heavens forbid trying to get a precision measuring device.

Very wide selection of different and unique health and beauty products. I thought the store was a little disorganized but Im not complaining as I wouldnt know how organize better myself. When I did think of something specific I was looking for, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about where everything was.

Pretty cool place, they have TONS of stuff (which is great, but a little overwhelming). The only reason I didnt give five stars is because they do not accept prescription savings cards/coupons, so I ended up filling somewhere else. But if you are looking for a relatively uncommon vitamin or supplement, chances are you will be able to find it there!

I go here to pick up my prescriptions, and I like the atmosphere a lot better than the big boxes. I often find a couple other interesting products to pick up while Im here. Great alternative!

I love the Community Pharmacy for its friendly staff, and awesome variety of personal care products. It can be difficult to find products that are unscented and dye free but Community Pharmacy always has me covered. They have some great gift items like candles and soaps, too.

Nice place but some of the workers arent that friendly. Its a great store for those that are into all natural items. They got a great selection of anything. You name it, snacks to cosmetics and natural oils you can blend on your own. They also have a nice little selection of books offering all sorts of DIY type things and anything related to healthy living and many other misc topics.

This place is amazing, I go here at least once a week. The staff is very warm and friendly and have given me amazing suggestions on body oils, face creams, natural makeup, and dietary supplements. What I love the most is the wide array of natural, good for the planet products. Highly recommend, plus you get to support a local business.

Ive been coming to this store for almost a year now and I have never been happier! Even on weekend days the service is fast, the workers there are so nice, and the quality of their products is refreshing. I usually buy herbs, oils, and medicines there and all have given me what I wanted and needed from the products. If you need anything to heal you or make you feel beautiful you must come here!

This place is amazing they sell everything you can imagine and more and more. And the staff very nice and helpful with any problems or questions you could have. The only thing that upsets me is that for buying the bus pass of the Metro Bus you have to pay in cash if you only want to buy this. If you dont have cash and want to pay with credit card they will say that you need five more dollars in some other products in order to pay the pass w card.

Went there to get a specific product I had never gotten before, and one of the employees (lady with black hair) was so very knowledgable and helpful in assisting me with my purchase. She explained everything in depth, went over all of the options, and more. I should note that not once did she ever recommend that I get the most expensive item, she was just trying to help me find the item that fit me best. She was very honest and authentic. Yes, the prices can be a bit high, but they have high quality products and fantastic customer service. Thanks so much!

I really love this pharmacy whenever I go in the technicians and the pharmacists are so very helpful dropping anything to do research for medications that I need unlike the Group Health Cooperative pharmacies who remind me of guarantee bank when they give me dirty looks and treat me like a customer thats just handing money to them for their products instead of a patient who needs help and doing their research in order to accommodate their needs, now my health insurance doesnt cover any other pharmacies except their own which is selfish if you ask me but I sure will come back and stock up on the community pharmacies chamomile teas.

This is a great local business that deserves our support. Staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and prices are competitive. Sometimes I go here for products that arent carried at other stores, but I like the probiotics, enzymes, and supplements they have for sale.

This has long been one of my very favorite establishments in Madison. I always find what I need (and even more of what I want!) and I always get great advice and/or friendly conversation whenever I come in. Every time Im on State Street I make a point to pop in at least for a chocolate bar and/or fizzy drink.I came in last week looking for reusable containers under 3.4oz (they have many!). Some of the containers werent labeled for size and the staff went sofar as to help me measure the container capacity by filling them with water. They also fielded by questions better suited for TSA (like can you bring your toiletries in glass reuseable containers or do they have to be plastic?) (They can be glass!!).Very grateful for this store, everything it offers, especially how present and accessible the staff are. They make shopping more ethically easy.Thanks yall!

Super friendly and personalized. The wait is always much less than at a CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid. Also, the co-pay on my medication was HALF of what it had been elsewhere. Cant recommend Community Pharmacy enough!

I recently transferred my pharmacy from the UW-Madison UHS pharmacy that shutdown to this one, and the staff even mentioned a copay coupon for my prescription that I was unaware of.The store also is filled with a bountiful selection of supplements and other good things.
