I was looking to modernize my 2008 Subaru by adding hands-free phone, Apple CarPlay, and better sound with a replacement audio receiver. There was a bewildering amount of information from many sources for my project. The Radio Doctor was the only place that gave me the complete explanation and proper options. Their pricing was very competitive. The entire staff were so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I am thoroughly pleased with the recommendations and installation, and the sound is fantastic. I have a modern car without buying a new car!

Great customer service and a friendly team! I called a variety of places looking for diagnostic help with my viper alarm system and they were the only ones able to schedule me in on a short notice. Beyond the customer service, they are knowledgeable about their products, and were able to figure out the issues with my alarm system. Eric was also very helpful in explaining the issue and solution, which I greatly appreciate. I highly recommend their services!

Overall Ive had excellent experiences here with their warm staff and fair pricing, even with my difficult European cars! It is definitely a family style business so while the level of professionalism isnt what youd expect from a franchise style, your kindness and respect is recognized and rewarded significantly more in the form of returned kindness and respect. Another related difference is how they handle their quotes. If they quote you an hour to diagnose something but they are able to figure out whats going on without taking things apart, Ive had the quote significantly reduced or waived altogether. On the other hand, if a repair or installation ends up taking significantly more time than originally expected, they will rightly charge accordingly. Given the custom nature of a lot of their work, it is VERY important that you specifically request to be contacted for approval prior to proceeding should the original quote change. I was impressed by the owners ability to handle his business as well as he does while clearly having his priorities straight in that he appears to always be a phone call away from his family. As an aspiring entrepreneur, this is something I am more than willing to have patience with as it is something I very much respect. Bottom line: as long as you are kind, respectful, and communicate your needs to them, I am confident you will have the excellent experiences with them that I have!

This place was very unprofessional and wasted hours of my time. After waiting 3 weeks for an appointment, I drove 2 1/2 hours to drop my boat off for the apt. when I was told it would be finished in a day. At the end of the day they called & said they didn’t have enough time & I could bring it back in 3 weeks! In the meantime, I am out of luck and now have another 2 1/2 hours to drive home. While other radio places had appointments 3 weeks ago, now they are all booked. There was no apology. I’m not going to chance waiting 3 more weeks and possibly having this happen again. I highly recommend you go to a different service place who is well staffed & knows what they are doing. I would not want this to happen to anyone else.

Not very professional as you can clearly see. This system was installed in my mothers vehicle and was clearly done very hastily with no grommet on the firewall for the power wire and a self tapper for a ground that you would find in a Walmart install kit very disappointed. I do car installs on the side and this doesnt even meet my standards, its not just lazy its dangerous. I was going to have them reinstall the system in her new car but since thats how it was done before Ill probably go elsewhere or install it my self. Clearly everybody does things differently and this tech might of just been having a bad day, if these issues where noticed after the install Im sure it would of been easy to resolve at the time considering the response from the owner. So raising to a 4 star.

William is the absolute BEST! He took so much time with us, even texting us pictures of what we should see as we asked questions about our remote start system over the phone from home when experiencing trouble about 3 yrs after it was installed. We ultimately delivered the car to him and, under our lifetime warranty, within a day William had it all straightened out (the brain box had failed and a new one was installed). He went above and beyond to ensure we had no money out of pocket and the problem was fixed. He was very professional & patient with us! Made us feel like we were the only customer he had, even though the place was packed with other customers!!

Bought a remote start for my girlfriend for her birthday, they messed up the door controls and then gave her attitude about having to stay late to fix it, then it wasnt working at all after they fixed the issue, every time we bring it back we get dismissive attitude. Now it doesnt work unless youre standing on top of it... (whats the point of a remote start if you have to be in the vehicle for it to work) They are refusing to take it out and refund us our money. I wish I could give no stars. Thanks for screwing us over. Ill be talking to a lawyer

Ive brought two vehicles to The Radio Doctor in the last 5 months for Bose amps on Mazdas. The experience was okay. The pricing is fair. The communication was better the second time than the first. They have to send out the amps to get repaired to a third party so I can understand the wait. What I am not impressed with is each time, I asked to have the speakers tested after the new amp was installed (since no volume was being put out before), and neither time did they test the speakers. Both times they came back from their shop with multiple blown speakers after I asked to have them checked once the amp was installed. This was quite frustrating and the reason for the generous 3 star review.

They are phenoms and know their stuff. Brought in extra parts they did not need and they bought them from me. If you need an installation or equipment (backup camera, stereo, etc) you cannot go wrong here. Prices are more than fair.

I dropped my car off at 9 a.m Tuesday they close at 6p.m I didnt get my car back til 9:30p.m Wednesday. I live in Baraboo, I was told I would have my car done at 5:30p.m Wednesday so I got dropped off at 4p.m and my car wasnt done til 9:30 p.m me and my son waited. Then the installation guy came out and then asked me if I could leave with one of my subwoofers playing and get the rest hooked up the next day. Mind you I got a radio, backup camera, wires, capacitor, amp, and subwoofers installed. Then I was told to not come back after I said I wouldnt and got accused of bringing my subwoofers in with one of them blown already. I ended up leaving with cords hanging under my gas pedal and one subwoofer playing. I had to call the owner the next day went back in and you would think that Eric wouldve apologized right away but he didnt. It got fixed but it was a totally bad experience and I would never go back.

Bought a 2015 Toyota Sienna w/ 17000 miles on it... Then realized how much I wanted/needed blind spot monitoring... Was ready to sell the Van when I googled BSM as an aftermarket addon. Stopped in to get help with a problem I had . All I needed was a cable from my in line fuse to the battery . Radio Doctor hooked me up no problem. I also asked about a remote start for my 2017 Toyota Highlander and will be getting that installed very soon .

Helpful and friendly. Amplifier repair cost less than I expected. I shouldnt have waited so long to get it fixed. Only downside is I had a long wait on hold to talk to a particular person. Only happened once; all other times I received quick service.

I got a new sound system for my car about a week ago and since then i barley get out of my car. You guys did a outstanding job on getting exactly what i wanted for the price budget i gave. The sound quality is great, the amount of bass is just what i wanted and for the price of it all it was a excellent buy. i give it a 5/5 because you just cant beat that quality of work for the price they give you. Have had them install an existing radio/cd player I had and install a new remote starter. Had some issues with the remote fob and they got a replacement and working great now. Super nice people to deal with. I may have to think about them installing a seat heater in my future.

Everyone is helpful and easy going. I brought my kid with me and it turns out they even have kids toys in their waiting area! The staff also interacted with my kid too which I thought was awesome. They also had many displays and ways for you to hear the products they have to sell. The website also matches what the store had to offer which I always appreciate instead of playing the whole does the store have this or is it only available online game you play with toys r us or home Depot or etc. They were also willing to give you quotes on the most expensive option and the least expensive option, which I thought was awesome too. I had a great experience at Radio Doctor today thanks to Cassie. I bought a Sony car radio from Radio Doctor almost a year ago. It started causing me all kinds of problems. I finally had to have it disconnected because it was draining my car battery. I called to make an appointment with Radio Doctor to fix my radio problem. I got right in. I was told the radio was not working and Cassie had already called Sony to get the radio replaced. Because this was a known problem from the manufacturer, she convinced them to replace it at no cost to me. They replaced my radio and fixed my speaker problem in a couple of hours. Big thanks to Radio Doctor and especially Cassie for taking such good care of me.

I recently had repair to my Subaru by another shop and they thought they damaged/fried the control module that services my climate control and my Kenwood Stereo. Radio Doctor took it apart, analyzed what needed to be repaired. They had not worked directly with this situation and found a resource within a blog. Not only did they repair it within an amazing time/reasonable charges, but cleaned up wires that were left quite a mess previously. I highly recommend Radio Doctor. The staff are some of the most compassionate people when it comes to your car!

If you are a woman or Person of Color, think twice before coming here. Ask for a quote IN WRITING or they will not honor the price quoted after the work is done. Do not believe their time estimates, a 2 hour job ended up taking 6, without so much as being notified it would take longer. I guess they think peoples time is not important. Also, watch out for the middle-aged, over-weight box blond in the office area. She will think it is acceptable to raise her voice at you and wave her arm around wildly...until you check her. This place was completely unprofessional, lacked good communication skills and failed to admit when they were wrong. And when called out about their unprofessional-ism, they will try to gaslight you and blame you for their SUB-STANDARD SERVICE. All and all, of I could do it over, I would DEFINITELY NOT give them my business. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!**Due to subsequent online conversations and disrespect, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and any local equivalent agency that I can find.

Was told the install would take 5-6 hours so I planned my day around it taking 6 hours to be safe. Ended up taking 8+ hours completely inconveniencing myself and those willing to give me a ride to pick it up. I cant say anything in regards to the product quality but was not impressed with the service expectation they set.

I purchased a used Tundra that had a Viper remote start installed that stopped working. I stopped in to have them look at it and they told me that they had seen some other cars that had the same bad type of work installing the remote starts by the poor quality of the work and the of lots of electrical tape. I had thought that I would like to upgrade to the option of using my cell phone to start the truck and they gave me a good price on the upgrade and Cleaned up the poor Previous install all for the same price.

Just a bigger rip off for their diagnosis I want an air and told him whats wrong then they came back and told me what I told them that was wrong waste of money. Could just go to YouTube and get the same information that their offer do-it-yourself save your money

I had an issue with the my Pioneer system that I purchased and had installed at the Radio Doctor. It was less than 1 year old and still under warranty. Radio Doctor, replaced the faulty unit for free. Sometimes customer service is all about what happens when something goes wrong. These guys took care of it no problem. Ill be telling all my friends to forget Best Buy, go straight to the Radio Doctor!

Had a sound system installed on my Harley,and it been a problem since day one,it started on September,it cut in and out on power and on Sirius xm signal,called and explain,back and forth,a few time to have them Radio Doctor to look at it, take 2 or more hours,each time, and still have same problem,there rating,were high,and there website,said they could handle it,but, i still have issue today,it may 2017,a few phone call to Eric the owner,a lot of email,and no result,but he Eric,the owner of Radio Doctor,want me the customer,to have someone else or company to remove the system that he or one of his employee installed,since he dont,want to deal with the issue,that something wrong and he the Radio Doctor cant figure out, and want me to ship it back to Radio Doctor,for a refund,minus a 15% restock fee,if in in good condition.So I DONT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANY KIND OF STEREO OR ANYTHING THEY SAY THEY CAN DO!!!!!!!
