These guys know what theyre doing. They gave me some really great info on replacing my head unit. They wouldnt allow me to hover in the shop while they work on it for liability reasons. Ill probably end up doing a DIY replacement, but I do expect to be back in for a few items like a wiring harness and mounting bracket.

Went to buy an amp for my car, but due to the color of my skin I wasnt treated as a regular customer... This is 2021 smh... I dont recommend this place to anyone because of there poor service.

Ive been coming here for years and they have worked on two of my cars and I was really satisfied. The workers and owner are nice and they treat their service men well with a military discount. When I first got my Mercedes I went to the dealer to see if they could install a stereo or speakers for me and they actually recommended Sound Depot to do it. Had some work done on my 2012 Street Glide. The tech dropped my fairing on my front fender and left a dent. We talked and he promised me as a gentleman that he would replace my fender. I contacted him 3 times. Still nothing. That was over a 6 month period ago. I started to sue, but thought about it. I dont have time for the petty court case stuff. Sometimes word of mouth non-recomendations are better.I dont recommend this place.

They installed alot of equipment in my car. Very clean install, and it sounds amazing. They have very good installers at sound depot. Some of the sales people could be more knowledgeable, but if you already know what you want your golden! Best stereo shop in the county! They have been in the spot since I was a child, that speaks volumes!

Sound Depot installed a Pioneer receiver and speakers in both my car and my daughter’s SUV. The cost was extremely competitive, the staff incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and the installation was excellent. In fact, the store owner, David Williams, personally helped me pick out the perfect system for my daughter, and needless to say, she is very happy. Also, Chris is a world-class installer.I would highly recommend Sound Depot to my friends, and I will definitely be going back there soon to upgrade the system in my wife’s vehicle.

I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. They were all descent people, at first. My car worked fine until I went there. I was well aware that my right signal light was out .They put my CD player in, now neither of my signal lights, speedometer, and mileage meter work. When I cut the music up above 30 my speedometer moves with the beat. I also cannot put my car in park when the music is up. It will only stop at neutral. When I cut the music down itll finally go into Park. Now they all have attitudes like Im in the wrong. Made an appointment to have them check it out. They all wanted to just talk and say they didnt hook up anything wrong. They still have not went back in my car to double check THEIR WORK. They dont even deserve 1 star. DO NOT GO HERE!

Amazing Service! I walked in Sound Depot needing advice for a radio and subwoofer for my Tacoma. David jumped right on it and made a suggestion. The radio and subwoofer were installed and WOW I was blown away with the sound to be exactly what I was wanting! I am amending this post. I will be visiting Sound Depot tomorrow (May 21, 2020) to have their technicians give me an estimate on an amplifier install, which James, the man I spoke with, said that they need to see the vehicle and equipment in person, which is logical.Based on the description of the amplifier, an Alpine KTT45-U, and the vehicle, a Ford F 150, James is fairly sure they can perform the install; James was also most courteous an professional. I look forward to getting the amp installed, hope they can do it-more to follow.

Got a remote start installed by Chris . he has more experience than anyone in Madison. My viper remote start is so easy to use, no more hot cars or cold cars for me.Will be back for a Pioneer apple car play radio soon.

I am a raving fan of the Sound Depot crew. Chris is a master installer. He removed the factory head unit from my 2002 full size SUV and replaced it with DVD head unit. The dash fabrication work is second to none. I am a repeat customer. Sound Depot will do more work on my other vehicles in the near future. Bought an up graded stereo for my 2008 GMC with backup camera. they did a very good job. i would recommend them.

Ive taken multiple vehicles to Sound Depot over the years, and they provide excellent products and service at reasonable installation rates. The one issue I had with a deck coming loose from the aftermarket bezel was resolved immediately and without any hassle under warranty.This year alone Ive had a DVD/Nav head unit, cellular remote start, and auto-dimming homelink mirror added to the wifes car, and some radar / laser protection hard wired into my own vehicle. Ive referred several friends and co-workers to Sound Depot, and theyve all been satisfied as well.

Thieves. Randomly increased my install by $50. And they cant even be bothered to help. They sit on their asses talking to each other. When you approach the counter they dont even acknowledge you. They dont know details about their stereos and whats worse they dont even make an effort to find out. Avoid this place like the plague. About 1 mile east youll find Speakerboxx. Take your business there. Or Sound On Wheels in Huntsville. I only gave Sound Depot 1 star because 0 stars isnt an option. Oh yeah, they also put a dent in my trim. After dealing with car audio places for years you come to expect some shadiness. It seems to come with the territory. Sound Depot is a fine example of the bottom of the barrel. Know your sh#% before going in because they prey on the unwitting. AVOID! TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!

This place will take care of your tint and audio needs. They were very professional in the install of my audio and my tint I couldnt have done it any better. But if you come talk too chris he will help you figure out the best bang for your bass addiction needs

I took the AMP that I purchased from the internet to them and askd if they could install it, yes we can said the guy. How long will it take, about 30 min. About how much, $25 he says. Im like when can you do it, today..... Im on my way!! I could have installed it myself, but I would definitely pay someone to do it for that. It did take about an hour because someone came in before me, so I had to wait for the installer to finish. One of the installers remembered my car from a previous install at another shop and was amazed at the great condition of the car. Took him about 45 mins so I paid him $40, just because they had to use extra stuff,, even though they didnt charge me for it. So meanwhile I got my other amp in and tried to install it....took me 3 hours!!!!! I will definitely use them again. They where a great help. Keep up the good work!!

Great place to get sound system hooked up in your car.

I select one star because I had to select at least one...Maybe installing a stereo in a late model pickup means you can just throw it in and all is well, but I would expect an installation to be complete, not half-@#$ed. Main power wire from battery was installed just laying across back of engine and tie-wrapped to the electrical plug on the AC accumulator. Linked in -line fuse to the battery just laying there, not mounted to anything. Wire was not secured anywhere else. Then I follow the main power wire to the firewall. It goes thru a hole where the hood release cable and seal was. Seal was pulled out and remains on hood release cable and power cable goes thru the hole with no conduit or protection what so ever. The cable is now chaffing along the metal firewall hole...only time will cause it to short and stop the entire truck from running. The first amp they installed, under the drivers seat, was installed with drywall screws. That amp recently went bad and was replaced. The replacement amp was connected up and just thrown back under the seat with nothing securing it. Hard braking and it will be under my feet while trying to drive....how do you say SAFETY ISSUE? Documentation for new amp was not received after install. Id say my install was a very poor installation. I do not recommend them for installations.

Dave thanks for the free eq advise i am starting to like my DSR1 again.The bike sounds awsomeIn simple terms the staff at sound depot is OUTSTANDINGI had a audio system installed in my car 8 months ago by another shop and without going into great detail i got shafted without a kiss. This other shop did an awful wiring job (one of the worst wiring jobs i have seen) which resulted in lots of alternator noise and lousy sound quality from my components (I have pretty good components). After taking the car back to the establishment several times i got tired and started looking for someone to redo the work. I have always had good luck with Junior, Chris and the other staff members at Sound Depot and when i went to them to redo the work the continued to amaze me. When i received my car back from them i was satisfied with the work and amazed and the short amount of time it took to redo the work.I appreciated the guys honesty and professionalism when quoting time lines concerning the install and not leaving me stranded for long periods of time without my car.To sum up my experience I would recommend this shop to anyone who is looking to have car audio work completed. From simple jobs to extremely difficult jobs i would recommend Sound Depot to any and all that require this type of work.Guys I will be back this spring for you to complete the work on my street/road glide

Recently experienced the worst custom install. I spent over $1,000 on the install ALONE. All I got was a polished turd! I took pictures of the horrible work as well. I can only assume they did this because I didnt buy my equipment from them. I bought everything myself. 1/0 gauge wires were twisted together, twist tied, and taped. Temporary tape was used to hold panels in place. Installer somehow used a 8ga ground wire for a system over 2,000 watts. Where it came from, I dont know. I provided 1/0. Crossovers were stuck to the inside of the door with sound damping adhesive. Terminals were exposed and started to rust .Equipment was mounted using various wood and metal screws often with only 2-3 holding it down. Plexiglass for box was not glued down. Some screws were counter sunk...some not. Install had engine noise. I returned it later to have it fixed. I received a answer of Thats the best I can get it. The manager is a complete jackass and extremely rude. This was my 3rd BIG stereo installed here and it will definitely be my last. You would think that a customer would get top notch installation after spending over a grand JUST FOR INSTALLATION..NOPE.

They broke something on my car while they were installing a cd player. They are too busy today to fix it and now I have to go to their comoetitors and pay them to fix it. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

My brother and I went there for a stereo install that we bought ourselves online for 300$ when we arrived there and talked to one of the guys he said smiling Thats going to cost about 450 to install are you sure you wanna do that we just walked out from there, these people dont have any compasion when it comes to money. The worst experience Ive ever had with a car audio place. Got my first radio put in by them. Went back to put in a 2nd radio and they tried to charge me extra for some horrid wiring work they did after already attempting to charge me a base price of 125 just for putting my radio in. Never going back.
