Update below - BUYER BEWARE - payed ($115.00) for a rear camera wiring job to a camera/monitor I had. It seemed a bit high to just wire but went with it and it worked fine for a few months. I must say it seems to be a professional job with cable shield and zip ties. Then just stopped working; took it back to have them check the wiring and they reluctantly did, but told me it wasnt the wiring it was my unit. I tested my unit with another wire and it worked fine. When i started to run the new wire I found that when i had engaged the parking brake the wire was to close to the PB gear and had cut the RCA cable they had run. Buyer Beware.Thank you for the response, I had tried to work with your service dept. once and not sure I want to do that again, I was basically sent away disappointed. How do you want to make this right?

The folks at Speaker Box Madison are great at what they do. I asked many questions about replacing the factory head unit in my car with a better navigation/audio system. Great experience! Very knowledgeable staff. I brought my 02 Toyota 4runner in for a In-dash navigation unit, amplifier, and new speakers. They gave me a full walk through on how to use my new equipment, and even mounted my amplifier in a hidden compartment so it is out of the way. Super clean install! I cannot express how great these guys are! I mean seriously! Taylor Scott and Rhyland were awesome and very informative. I noticed a slight rattle in the speakers after the installation and they quickly responded to me about fixing the issue that was not their fault but a manufacturer problem! By far the best car stereo shop in town. The showroom is head and shoulders above anywhere else and the employees are actually friendly even if you dont know much about car audio. When I visited the store, I was able to see some of their custom work in person and the attention to detail is immaculate in comparison to some of the other custom work in town. Great group of guys who seem to love what they do.

The guys were fast, efficient, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They fixed both my car and truck that another company screwed up After that company jerked me around for three months and it fixing my car, I took it to The Speakerbox, they diagnosed the problem, ( It was caused by the other guy) I ended up taking it to the dealer and it cost me $700.00 to have the dealer fix it The Speakerbox installed a new radio and navigation system and it works great. They might be a little more expensive, but they are well worth it. They also reinstalled the radio and navigation system the other guys installed (incorrectly) and made sure it was working fine. They also took the time to show me how to operate both systems. Thanks guys!

My experience was not a positive one. I was at work and asked a friend to take my car to the Madison Branch to get my fog lights checked. Without leaving the store to look at the vehicle she was charged $200.00 and was told she had to buy the part to get an appoint. I called to question this business practice and was given an appointment a week out. I went down the street and found out nothing was wrong with the lights. A switch was installed I was unaware of. When I visited the store that day I was asked to leave. I requested to speak with a Supervisor or Manager and was not given any contact info.

$45 for them to take 5 minutes to check my radio. Then they charged me $10 for a new fuse, didnt ask first what I wanted to do, just stuck it in and charged me. The repair was great, just seemed like a lot for a really simple fix.***After posting my review the sales manager contacted me to refund the overcharge. I appreciate the response to my concern. Thanks ***

I am from Nashville Tn. These guys rock! They took my 2013 Tacoma and installed my radio, my remote start and amp, after another stereo shop (if that what you call it) miss wired my truck. They worked on it from 10am to 7:30 pm. They close at 6pm. Now I have a kick ass stereo! I have came back 3 times for work to be done! Awesome! They do it right!

Only thing that kept this from a 5 star review is lack of follow through. I received two phone calls during the install asking about things that were discussed the day the appointment was made. Something easily eliminated with notes on the work order. I wasnt informed that a switch and microphone would be installed for the Bluetooth and hands free calling to function.That being said, most of the aspects of the service and quality of the stereo install was stellar. Ben is an amiable and low pressure salesman. He makes good suggestions and asks the right clarifying questions to figure out what his customers want. He did say hes only recently gotten back in to this line of work so small mistakes are understandable.Theyre friendly, sell quality products at good prices, know what theyre doing, and theyre LOCAL.

So I called last week for advice on what kind of an enclosure I should get for my car, and not only where they helpful,, but they treated me good. The guy on the phone knew what he was talking about and actually helped me learn a couple things. I work in retail and I take customer service seriously and its refreshing to see other people doing the same. Other places Ive called/been to were kinda lame, they were freaking jerks and talked to me like they were annoyed to have me there and like I didnt know anything, which I guess I dont know much about car audio but still, I dont want people making me feel bad about it. But anyways these guys are legit and Im probably gonna get my stuff from them, as well as recommend them to my friends. Its amazing how much a simple phone call can do for a company. 10/10

Went up there Wednesday to get measurements for my sons truck and speaker size and paid roughly $200 dollars for it. Salesman told me it would be in Monday at the latest and I was fine with that, so I called Monday no box, Tuesday no box tell late that afternoon, I had made arrangements to install my sons sound system Monday!.. now here is the good part, I get the box home and put a speaker in the box and guess what dont fit!! LOL..so I call up there no help they want me to buy shallow mount speakers thats not happening, and no refund policy.. Im sorry speaker box you are very unprofessional and your customer service needs help.. Im done! Oh and one more thing I work for one of the largest manufacturing plants in North Alabama and know a lot of people that love music! Just saying,.. you will be getting a Bad review.. I wish we could have resolved this issue but I will not spend another dime there!

I called to inquire about a 6x9 bracket and I was told that they do not make one. Looked it up online and it is made. Felt like the rep was too busy to focus on the customer and look up what I asking for.

Issac did a SUPER CLEAN install on my X5. Put in a JL amp and LOC that look completely stock. The JL W3 hits really hard and the bass knob install was really slick, looks completely stock. The entire crew was professional, level headed and really helpful in providing a seamless experience.I never write reviews but I had to give these dudes a thumbs up. They are legit.

I corresponded via email with both Sound Depot, and Speakerbox about performing a subwoofer installation of a subwoofer I bought online. They both said they could do the installation, so I stopped in to discuss it with both businesses.Sound Depot: The staff was courteous and helpful, but also tried to sell me a subwoofer they said would perform better than the one I selected. Of course, it was a JL Audio product that they sell, and quite a bit more expensive than the subwoofer I purchased, which the salesman said would disappoint me performance wise.I also was told theyd give me an installation price on the day of installation, but they didnt give me an estimate, which I found less than forthcoming.Having done my reviews of the sub I selected, I figured it would augment my sound without paying 600 dollars or more for a subwoofer. I realize businesses have to make money, but I decided to go elsewhere, and am pleased I did.Speakerbox:This place has MUCH better customer service, I had visited them before.I called today, and spoke to Grace, the salesperson, and took my vehicle to them for an estimate. Taylor, the installer, gave me an upfront estimate and price, explained in detail the installation, did NOT disparage my choice of subwoofer and provided me a 10 percent military discount to boot!Speakerbox impressed me with their proactive customer service, attention to detail, and no hard-sell of their own products. I will probably have Speakerbox do an upgrade of my door speakers as well, based on my interaction with them today.Sound Depot is a good business, but I cannot recommend them. Attention to detail and customer service is paramount to me, I hope in the future they raise their level of customer service.

These folks are paranoid that your gonna rip them off. I tried to have my sons a pair of car alarms installed and the management would not take a credit card over the phone for over 50 dollars, I kinda wondered how amazon or any other online retailers would stay in business if they wouldnt take online credit. I argued for 20 minutes. Tried to fax or email my ID but no.. in the end Best Buy gets the business. Sorry your so stupid.your loss.
