Its fun comparing notes and getting to know what platforms everyone is into.I went in to sell some equipment that was taking up space in my closet. I worked with Daniel Henriksen who was incredibly professional and shared his passion for photography, it was great geeking out with him! I was about to sell all of my equipment, but chatting with Daniel made me realize how much I still loved photography and that I should make the time and continue to shoot, so I wound up keeping my full frame camera and lenses and bought a new sling and camera bag.While in the store, I watched their team help customers answer questions about equipment they were about to buy, or to troubleshoot equipment customers already owned. The team was very attentive and made sure questions were fully answered before moving on to the next customer. They did an excellent job for likely being short staffed due to the times, and it being a busy Saturday.As far as equipment goes, they have an excellent selection of new and used items (cameras, lenses, etc.), so no matter what brand youre into, they should have something for you.The store is clean, organized, and easy to find from the road.Theyre definitely worth checking out for your photography needs!

Turned a in and out situation for a base plate to an hour of learning and understanding of the camera company. Store manager was awesome and was good relationship builder not a pushy salesman. Nothing but good experiences when I got in this store. Definitely plan to continue to support this local entity.

Ed Grindle and Wendy Busa have been outstanding in their customer service. Theyve helped me choose new and quality used equipment. They listened to my needs as a novice photographer and responded with great suggestions and within a workable budget for me. Ed has also done a great job at providing educational workshops that have increased my knowledge and skills. Both Wendy and Ed are kind, experienced, knowledgeable and patient and understand true customer service!! Im sure that many of us (and I include myself) try to shop on the Internet for the best deals. But I have no desire to do business, especially locally and with a small business, with anyone else but the Camera Company and thats because of Ed and Wendy!! What assets they are to the business!! I am very grateful and thankful that such folks still exist!!

Great idea!Well Lisa was off and I started working with Tim the manager! So I told him that I wanted to buy the lens after the 4 day rental before I left the store with the lens!!Took some awesome pics up in door county and was very happy and was ready to buy when I got back!On the day I returned the lens I waited in the store for about 30 minutes and final got help from the new guy there! I told the kid that I wanted to buy the lens when Tim yelled out the the lens was sold from under me! Nobody called or told me this info while the lens was in my care!!I DID TELL THEM (LISA, TIM, AND THE NEW GUY) BEFORE I LEFT THE STORE THAT I WANTED TO BUY THAT LENS!!!I was done wrong!After I left the store while sitting in the parking lot I called the East Side Store and talked to Windy the store Manage and she was on my side and said she would contact all her sources and try to get the lens i wanted at the same $$ price point!! While still paying my rental fee Tim said that he could give me $54.00 off on a brand new lens @ $1600.00 and the lens I wanted was only $600 after the discounts!!To me when Tim offered that brand new lens was really rude and unprofessional!Bottom line I think I my have to take my business to the internet and suffer the long wait of the delivery system!Still want to promote Lisa and how smart she is!!Thank you Lisa!!Find a new Job Tim you dont belong in a camera shop!

I have been going to the Camera Company for as long as I can remember. Sometimes its advice on a camera issue, calibrating my big canon 500 mm 4.0ii, or buying photography supplies and equipment. Im not a huge photographer, but my wife had to get her old canon film camera fixed and they had everything she needed. They diagnosed the camera and found out something was broken in the lens and dug around in the back to find a replacement and sold it to us at a fantastic price. Well be going there to have her film developed because the staff were so helpful.

Great expert advice! They should of bought or leased the building next to them on Odana Rd in the strip malll they are in, and expanded! They could EASILY run more camera classes! Also, it is getting a little crowded in there with merchandise. Need a bigger place. Maybe they should buy the Chinese restaurant next door that is closing, in a stand alone building to expand?The advice is second to none here. They should try to match amazon though in some prices for accessories but otherwise the prices are awesome.

They are my go-to for camera gear. Ive found their staff passionate and knowledgeable about the products and service.I have purchased cameras and lenses, bags, cleaning supplies and had them print a few of my photos.Im looking forward to trying out one of the workshops.

Ive gotten several passport photos here and theyve all turned out great! The passport official even said my daughters photo (she was 7 days old at the time of the photo) was the best infant photo theyve ever seen. Would highly recommend them for passport photos and they clearly know their way around cameras.

Seems like they have a decent selection although being ignored by the counter clerk was annoying. Said he would look up a lens for me then proceeded to talk to a regular (from the sound of their conversation) and not look anything up. After about 10 minutes of waiting while they chit chatted I got sick of standing around and left. Not likely to return.

Stumbled across these guys while visiting family and must say, these guys are awesome. Rented a lens for my shoot and the pricing was fairly reasonable--they have an O.K. variety for renting equipment, if they add few more of Canon lenses I would say Ill be their loyal customer for renting haha. The staff is really nice, and helpful. Every time I went in, someone was willing to help almost right away; or at least acknowledged me and told me that they would be with me right away. Really pleased with their business/store. Would recommend them!

Came in looking for some accessories for my new lens and the guy who helped me was super nice and helped to look up measurements. The guys here at the camera company west on Odana road are great. I have bought several cameras and way too many lenses and accessories to count. They are a few dollars more than online but are local and stand behind everything. I have 1 memory card fall apart from old age and in and out too many times, and they replaced it.Great for beginners to come in and handle several cameras they recommend depending on what you will be shooting.Great for advanced users also. What happens when you have something fail right before a trip or important shoot when you bought something online? Too bad, might be a week to get a replacement. Here you can get a replacement today.I’ve also printed several prints here. Great web interface for medium size prints. I printed some drone pictures on an odd size and they came out great. They were surprisingly better than I hoped.The guys here are very very knowledgeable and will take the time to make sure you are getting exactly what you need and in your budget.They have classes, sometimes free, on everything from a basic camera class to photoshop. They also have lots of dealer days and sales. Best to get on their mailing list.I will definitely get most all my camera equipment here. And all my prints as well.

Knowledgeable and friendly salesperson answered all my questions. Lots of inventory in the store. I appreciated the chance to lift and feel the weight and balance of the cameras. I purchased a camera used it later that day.

The majority of the staff are excellent. They have a wide selection of equipment and can keep you stocked on the basics or help you add some fun to your camera gear. I have generally found the staff to provide great recommendations, honest reviews of equipment functionality, and be quick to provide some teaching/tips/training.My one caveat--be careful when handing your equipment to the staff. Make sure you are working with one of the photographers on staff and not just anyone. While they ultimately made it right after they damaged a part, the timing was horrible (right before I left for Africa) and I am still left cautious. I never got the feel that the staff member who actually broke my equipment truly accepted responsibility (I was literally begging him not to try to force my battery into a charger). More, the initial response from both the staff member who broke the part and from the next guy up the chain of command was essentially oh, its just a little sliver of plastic shaved off, it will be fine. Again, they ultimately made it right and replaced the broken equipment, but the initial way in which I was treated conveyed a great deal. Long and short, they will make it right but I was in western Africa short a piece of equipment. Sure, I could have been less last minute but regardless of how preplanned I am or am not, I am going to be cautious handing them my gear.

This store has something that is almost gone in this country: customer service. I go there for the service. Worth it every time, and the prices are reasonable. The people at the desk seem to really know what they are talking about, and they dont try to sell you anything you dont want. I spent almost an hour talking with Adam about a new lens. He showed me all sorts of options, and took all the time I wanted without any rush. He showed absolutely no frustration with my many questions. He always had comprehensive answers that made sense. They offered to buy my old lens, but told me that I could get a better price by selling it on eBay. They offered convenience, but also told me I could get a better price. I felt comfortable spending my money here. 5 years later: went back for a new camera. Same great service. I could order anything online, but going there for the service makes it worth it the ever so slightly extra money.

Nice store and nice people to deal with, but after buying an Olympus OM-D M2 and lens from them, I was told I couldnt order an Olympus brand remote shutter release from them--had to buy their Promaster unit.Why? I was traveling from South Dakota and was in search of a camera store because there isnt many in SD. I was helped immediately by a young man who answered all my questions about a tripod and flash for an older canon 35 mm. Even replaced the batteries in the flash to make sure it worked before I bought it. The gentleman seemed to go out if his way to help me and was extremely polite. It was a great experience.

I had done a lot of research before visiting the store, but they were able to explain so much more to me in a way I could understand. Prices were the same as the big box stores, and reputable online stores, so going here is an easy decision.

After using several different vendors, I exclusively use Camera Company for all of my equipment. Theyve been extremely helpful with getting items warrantied, even on the older equipment that I didnt purchase from them. Their customer service goes above and beyond the normal hobby camera shop. Try them out, you wont be disappointed.

Thus is a Teal camera store run by professionals who know photography. The staff take their time to understand what you are looking for and then demonstrate the appreciation products.

In the past I have had really bad experiences going into various camera stores. I feel like since I am a female I get treated like I am stupid by all of the men that work at the stores. Or that the men who work at camera shops try to use the most technical terms that they know trying to purposely confuse me.The camera company is totally different. I love all the people that work there. They even have a girl or two employed at the store, very unusual. All of the people at the camera company are really knowledgeable and have always treated me really well.They have gone above and beyond for me a few times!!Great products, great people!

In January 2011, I purchased a tripod and tripod head at The Camera Company. They keep track of accounts by phone number. I have recently had trouble with the tripod head and called the manufacturer about this. They said it was covered by warranty, but I had to have the receipt. Of course I dont know where that is. I called the Camera Company; they looked up my account and printed a new receipt for me. Thats not so easy with a big box store or online. I really like dealing with this local company and find their prices to be pretty comparable to online, and when you have a problem, they are there to help. They have a very knowledgeable staff, and its always a fun store to visit to see the latest stuff.
