Monica worked miracles on my wedding dress. Im 49, DD cup size, and an apple shape, so I knew that my dress would need some love to fit perfectly.Monica was absolutely the right choice to handle my gown! She shortened the bodice and added boning so the top would fit just right. We added more lace to the sleeves, raised the neckline, and shortened the hem by a LOT. She also recommended that in addition to shortening the train to the right scale, she would create a more rounded train shape to mirror my curvy body shape. She created a great bustle that was easy to fasten and kept the train out of my way during a choreographed first dance. Monica was also a great sounding board as I considered whether to go with a taller or shorter heel and whether to go with shapewear or prioritize comfort (comfort all the way!).I went from having stress dreams about my dress and worrying that I wouldnt achieve the look I wanted, to looking and feeling like a vintage romantic princess! I felt so great in my gown the entire day - like the best combination of myself and the picture in my head of how I wanted to look as a bride.I would wholeheartedly recommend Monica to any bride. She is warm, professional, and very skilled, and I felt completely at ease leaving complex alterations in her hands. She listened to all my worries, concerns, and wish list items and totally made them happen. You wont regret bringing her your wedding gown!

I cannot recommend Monica highly enough. Last year I saw her website, but I figured a bespoke seamstress would probably be out of my budget, so I didnt even make an appointment; I just took my gown to another tailor who didnt specialize in wedding gowns, thinking Id save money. That was a mistake. The other tailor did an awful job. I hated my dress. I felt terrible in it. It was the source of many tears, and I was truly at the point where I was debating between trying to buy a new one or see a new seamstress. Monica was truly my fairy godmother in taking a wedding dress I bought and transforming it into my dream dress. She added my lace sleeves in a way that it looked like the dress was always supposed to look like that. I also didnt have my family in the area to come to my dress appointments so Monica was always there to help me put on/take off my dress, talk opinions, and just be excited with me. Loved working with Monica on my custom orange wedding dress!The whole experience was awesome. First I shared pictures and inspiration with Monica, then she created a Pinterest page just for my dress so that I could see her inspiration, then she ordered fabric swatches so that I could see and feel possible fabrics. Between fabric swatches and wedding day there were about 5 meetings and fittings and it was so fun to watch the dress become a reality. Monica is also very connected in the wedding industry and she helped me find the right person to design my ring.no alterations because its made to fit! great, careful, construction she puts love into the dress! If you want a truly unique wedding dress I highly recommend Monirose. Oh, and in my case, the dress ended up costing less than anticipated, pleasant surprise!

Monica is a delight to work with. Unfortunately I heard of her business after I already purchased my gown... but I did decide to work with her for my alterations. Her studio is beautiful but what made the experience was her lovely personality and her eye for design. We talked about what alterations I needed and she had me come back for a second fitting to make sure she was on the right track and then we had a final try on once the dress was complete. I had a fairly unique dress situation/request, and Monica certainly rose to the challenge.My fiance and I had taken secret dance lessons for over a year before our wedding, and had a beautiful and intricate bolero choreographed for us. She met with me and walked through every little detail of the dress, put together beautiful sketches that I was able to pick my favorite parts from, and I ended up with a dance-ready bridal dress of my dreams!! The design, fit, and materials were all perfect. I wish I could wear it every day! I would work with Monica again in a heartbeat.

I worked with Monica for my heavily beaded gown alterations this summer and let me tell you I am over the moon with her service. I was very worried that because she was a designer that her alterations would be overpriced and that my alterations wouldnt be top priority (Apparently I was the over-worried bride!) But Monica was so much more than I could have hoped for. Her studio is adorable, comfortable and clean with a gorgeous full sized ornate mirror. Her personality is bubbly, sweet and chatty. She made my mom and I feel right at home and even let my mom talk her ear off. She listened to all of my concerns and understood everything I wanted to do. My dress was 3/4 inch away from zipping- a great achievement from the two inches when I bought it. I told her that I didnt know if I could make it close in the month I had left and she assured me that if by our second fitting (10 days before the wedding) it didnt close, then she would alter it. I didnt end up getting it to close but Monica worked her magic and it fit amazing on my wedding day! It was like it was made for me. She ended up hemming it, dipping the sweetheart neckline a bit more, taking in the hips a little to create a more fitted look, trimming my veil, and replace the zipper so that the dress fit. And I will remind you that the dress is COVERED in beads. For the amount of work that she did, her prices were very reasonable! Monica did amazing work and I highly recommend her!

I highly recommend Monica for bridal alterations. Monica is incredible at her craft. She fixed all my dress problems (too snug in the waist, ridiculously baggy back straps, and cups that puckered in all the wrong places) and played with the fabric until it fell beautifully. She also created a fabulous bustle that made the back of my dress look like a grecian goddesss gown (seriously, Im not exaggerating), and she made a veil that perfectly complemented my dress. I found Monica while I was living in Spain, desperate for the right person to make my dress for my upcoming wedding. She sent me a mock-up of the dress so that I could get an idea of whether or not she understood what I was asking for, along with a sample of the intricate beading I was looking for. Her commitment to working long distance was outstanding. When I returned state-side, we got to making the real dress and she accommodated me without complaint when I deliberated over fabrics, changed my mind on many details and added new ones along the way.
