Friendly staff and quick service. Did an online return of my second order in the past month. They send fishing poles out that are either used or assembled defectively. Only getting three stars because of their friendly staff and no hassle return.

Lady over the phone was great but once I got into the store the guys didnt really know much about their products or what they had in stock. Was looking for marine speakers and they had no idea about what they had.

Always had friendly and knowledgeable help while getting hardware and supplies for small sailboats.

I usually find tin coated marine wire here which has higher resistance to corrosion. I use marine grade whenever I do electrical repairs in cars.

This place is like a candy store for adults they have pretty much everything you need for your boat its great and the customer service is awesome I definitely recommend this place

This store rocks! West Marine Corp website is incorrect when you access this store’s inventory. You MUST call the store and inquire of whatever item you’re looking for. If it’s not in stock they WILL get it for you! I recently purchased an offshore inflatable PFD w/sailing harness. They have MANY in stock at Monona store. Bill was THE man! He got me a pair of HH deck shoes from another store and they were $25 less than the identical shoe on the HH website and Amazon! I will definitely shop here for all of my sailing gear. I highly recommend the Monona, Wis West Marine store!

They charge almost 10 dollars for standard shipping to ship 15 feet of 16 gauge wire then dont even ship it out within one week when its in stock. I emailed them and got no response so called and had a guy tell me it would ship the same day and it didnt. Their customer service department is garbage.

I came in for the first time, was the only customer, clerk barely looked up from his phone to greet me. I wandered around looking for something specific and he didnt acknowledge my existence as I stood in front of him for help. When I got his attention he just directed me to an area of the store I been in the whole time looking. I just left. Poor poor customer service.

Good selection, some things hard to find (bolts and nuts could be organized better)

Staff seemed irritated of me asking to help with a boat impeller question. Had the part on shelf but insisted the computer said 0 in stock. Was told i could get the part delivered to my door in a few days for less than part on shelf. I wanted a complete rebuild kit, not just impeller, was told that was not available . Overall not impressed by customer service. Big disappointment. Got complete rebuild kit on amazon cheaper than only impeller on shelf that they couldnt sell me anyway, because of computer saying 0 in stock.

I needed two batteries for my boat and the lady who worked with me was patient and informative especially given how ignorant most of my questions probably were. Very helpful. I love this place!

They have a great selection but prices are very high ($2.99 for a hose clamp). Staff knows little about boats so dont expect them to help you fix anything.

We ordered a Garmin its like a satellite phone from them a few weeks before we went to Canada on a trip, they said it would be in, in 1-2 weeks that would have been before our trip. Never came in before our trip, stil wasnt there when we came back home, it just now came in a month after we got back. So it took them 2 months to get us our Garmin when it said it would take 2 weeks at most. Very disappointed, and to top it all off the employee that was checking us out didnt seem like he knew what he was doing.

I needed supplies for the winterising my outboard motor and West had what I needed. Good visit to Madison WI store.

Epoxy prices are high, but if you need some West Systems supplies in a hurry this place is nice to have around. Employees have been good about being helpful when asked and not hovering/being overly bothersome.
