First time, EVER, that Ive been to a truck stop that had to close because the power went out for no good reason. Theres no inclement weather or anything of such. Will put this place on my, Only in California, list of truck stops to put on the back-burner.

The restroom was clean, the food looked fresh, the employees were nice, they have a CAT scale & theres plenty of parking.

The BEST gas station EVER! An ALL IN ONE GO TO, A MUST! Everything you need you will find it all here at Pilot. Gifts, Cinnabon, Soups, Pizzas, Wings, Subway, etc... it was my first time stopping at this gas station last weekend and I was amazed! Bought almost the whole store! Love everything!

Nice place to stop to fill the gas, buy foods. I stopped to buy subway which is inside the building and there is cinnabon too. The restrooms are clean.

This is an old Flying J that turned into a Pilot back in the early 2000s. Nicer than other Pilots because it has a Dennys. The staff is usually friendly unless it gets super busy, but its overall a nice place to stop and rest.

One star for cleanliness other stars are removed for rude stuff who told me I could go to a different gas station if I didnt like it there when trying to charge more than 75 on my pump. South also serve pizza to an individual after being at the register without putting gloves on and then walk back to the register at no time did they wash their hands. Verbally abusive to me when I pointed that out to her. In fact encourage another customer to be verbally abusive to me as well while she was behind the counter. Did speak to the manager generally pilot stores are absolutely wonderful this one needs to work on their help.The other cashier who ended up assisting me finally was quite nice and one of the killing crew was very nice and smiled and asked me to have a nice day.

Friendly people working here, store is in decent order, and its one of the only truck stops i ever seen that sells jarritos, love it.

I buy a head phones here at this place, a day ago and didnt work, of course they ask if you want a receipt but I choose not to, my mistake, so I return the next day to return or refund, I have to wait 30 minutes to speak to a manager? Thats bs. Never again.

This place sucks people sit here for over 30 mins in the pump. Not even worth your time if your in a hurry. I attached a picture of the timer was that 32 minutes. This isnt the only one theres another guy two spots down thats at 24 minutes. This pilot needs to enforce rules we dont get paid by the hour we get paid by the miles Ive already spent 30 minutes here and Im not even at a pump.Edit: the guys that work here are really nice and did get the driver out after 40 minutes of sitting at the fuel pump.

Used to love coming here because you have everything in one stop. Now it takes 30 min to pay for anything! And forget getting a receipt for gas!!!! None of the pumps print receipts and you are back in that line for another 30 min!!!! My job requires me to do what i need to do and go! I was stopping 4 days a week for my needs but will now take my business elsewhere.

Alejandra made my experience a good one ! She works at the subway and she went above and beyond to make sure I left as a happy customer. Due to a root canal it was very hard for me to eat, so she recommended the softer items and chopped my sandwich into smaller pieces. It was extremely considerate and kind. She always has a positive attitude. As well as a smile !!

Good place, clean with a lot of food, fuel timer (great idea) and Subway. But there’s not enough parkings and Wifi is awful ornon-existent mostly...and “showers” (not toilets, mirrors or faucet) lack of sanitary cleaning...

Amid a couple of minor problems over the last few years, this place usually is pleasant to visit. Angelina is just awesome always but today ( 06MARCH20 ), during a western union debacle, i want to give a solid shout out, sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to the evening supervisor named Julia. She showed EXACTLY what customer service is supposed to be and was once in this country. My apologies Julia for your already stressful shift, becoming a nightmare with western union😔. If you the corporation (Pilot/Flying J) fail to recognize her attributes and potential then you dont deserve to keep her and mark my words, if i become a lotto winner, she can write her own ticket with any endeavour i have. Pilot Travel Centers are helpful locations across the West (my experience). Typically they have decent pricing on all fuels, and I understand big rig drivers and other large volume fuel buyers can receive bonus points for use at their stores. Those points can be used as credits on in-store purchases.The Madera County site includes Subway sandwiches and short order hot foods, the whole gamut of beverages, and snack foods, gifts and toys plus basic hardware and tools travelers may use.A nearby full service restaurant makes this a great stop for Highway 99 travelers.

Laundry and showers are small but good clean store.

I go every morning for their always hot and ready Coffee. Gotta wake up and hit the road running very early most days; definitely couldnt do it as easily without my daily visit to Pilot for hot breakfasts and hotter coffee at real good prices. Workers are really a perk too. Always happy and smiling and ready to help start my mornings out with a smile and a great attitude. It makes a difference and its appreciated. Thanks pilot couldnt make it without your place. 😉

Everything was clean even the restrooms. They have a wide selection of food and plenty of drink choices. Gas prices were competitive. If youre on the road for awhile and you need or want something Id say you can most likely find it here.

Easy truck parking, and respectful customer service.

Pilot Travel Center is your run-of-the-mill truck stop and gas location, but on a higher end scale. Freeway access in both directions is easy which makes this a nice stop.They have a Quick Mart, Starbucks, Wendys, Dennys and a Deli Delicious all located within the same area.Subway and Cinnabon are located inside pilot Center. Pilot Centers offer food, drinks, munchies, gifts and travel items. They supply a wide variety and everything that I have tried has been great.If youre looking for food, I highly recommend the pizza, or the chicken pot pie soup. Dont forget to check out their top of the line soda machines.The place is very well-lit so Travelers feel secure and the restrooms are clean and stocked.The gas station can be a bit tedious because theyre always full.A great place to stretch your legs and kill a little bit of time, people are friendly and you can get advice on directions and traffic from truckers and travelers alike. If youre in a hurry they have quick kiosks for self-checkout that are easy to use. Its always a stop on my route!

This is probably the cleanest truck stop I’ve seen in a while. No abandoned trailers, no old tires or empty boxes lying around. Clean and good service. Good Job Pilot👍🏻

The best Pilot I have ever been to!Wide, spacious, in an angle truck parking spots. Clean outside and inside, no shady people... Very thankful for this truck stop.

Pilot is my favorite place to get gas when Im traveling. They have a lot of pumps so you dont normally have to wait that long and the prices for gas are cheap. If you plan on going in to pay be prepared to spend some time because the lines are usually long. They have different fast food places inside like Subway and sometimes Dennys depending on the location. They also have showers for truck drivers.

Amazing, clean, private individual hotel quality showers complete with towels and soap. Each shower has its own individual pass code entry and is EXTREMELY clean and private. As a female I felt completely safe and sound to shower.

The place was great. Ive never seen a store with so many things to buy. There was everything from pizza from subway from earbuds. Will be glad to come back again.

Always a good place to get cheap gas and stock up on supplies. Be careful of strangers in between the pumps, some of whom break into unlocked cars. Cleanest bathrooms until Merced

Very nice pilot. Very clean. Lot is clean amazingly enough there are no piles of garbage, old tires, abandoned trailers etc. You are far enough away from Fresno that you wont get shot or robbed (or both). The staff is nice and seem to care about the place. They speak English, Spanish, and some Mandrin (Gan I believe) here. Showers are clean, towels are actually washed and not just thrown into the dryer. Truck parking is good and pretty easy in and out so youll most likely not have the front of your truck ripped off by a Swift.

Everything you need in one stop. We always stop here on our way over the 152. For snacks and a quick bite. They have a huge selection of drinks. Different types of coffee, and many choices for hot food.

Was needing gas and a drink. Saw the sign so hopped off freeway. What a big gas station. They had many pumps. So you could fill up and be on your way. Prices are fair. They have a store with a good selection of a bit of everything in it. Store was clean a bit expensive. But hey they are clean. Bathroom was a bit nasty

Its located well, kept clean, and has a very helpful friendly staff. Lots of parking, with food options there and close by. Scale is a bit tricky to get on unless you enter from the street. Pretty good other than that.

Bathrooms are in constant need of attention that isnt met and just a very disorganized layout. Could be better. Has potential, but here the customer does not come first. There are other better and cleaner choices to pick from to use along the way through your travels.

It was Super clean and well stocked with fresh dairy and fried foods. The parking lot was nice and quiet. They had showers there but I didnt use their facilities at the time.

No hot food available at midnight. Display case has a sign hot breakfast served all day. Case was empty so sign is a lie.I love Pilot/Flying J but California locations all lack in availability of hot food.

I like stopping here on my way to work. It is easy off and on to the freeway. I got a rewards card so I get 3 cents off a gallon every time and doesnt matter how much or how little gas I purchase.

In the shower toilet & floor hadnt been cleaned in awhile. Receipt from previous person on the floor next to a lot of hair from previous people. Im very appreciative of the people who clean the showers at truck stops but this was long-term not being cleaned. The fuel desk employees seem very helpful and give good customer service. But service at the main registers around the corner I bought my food and drinks at was bad last week AND this week on two different shifts. First time having this type of experience at a Pilot/Flying J 😕

Were in the middle of a pandemic and the only person wearing a mask properly in this crowded truck stop was one of the three cashiers. Masks are required people!

Nice den of travelers to quench needs of their vehicles and for themselves. You can get most of your needs under a single roof 24/7. What else you expect?

The management at this pilot. Doesnt do yard allows trucks to take their brakes in the fuel pump 🤣 even Park in front of their fuel pumps to take their 10-hour break.

Nice clean gas station and restrooms. Plus if you have a sweet tooth for some cinnabon...this is the place to get some fresh baked.

Got a 3 star because its in the middle 50/50 some times staff works some times there huddled in corner talking with one register open dont get me started on the pizza if you get it fresh its the best but hours later hard as a rock soda machine always out of Pepsi yes people love Pepsi so keep it flowing if your a Coke lover you have no worries fuel island never and I mean never paper towels internet you know its not good anywhere prices on soda why are they so expensive everywhere else dollar something pilot two dollars and its summer time to raise price again maybe even smaller cups coming soon wouldnt surprise me like we dont notice there smaller then last years over all its better then most pilots one thing you could in prove on is go after the drivers who park on fuel island I mean the ones who dont buy your fuel there lazy local drivers who like to take a break there remember we are on the federal government s clock now

I loved this place. I had been on the road for 8 hours and was exhausted. I pulled in and found out that they have parking spots for drivers to catch a few hours of sleep. Food was great and the showers are clean.

I always go to this place to pump gas very cheap gas and the food is so good great customer service.

When are you going to stop screwing drivers at this pilot on points bonuses. Allow your pumps to use mobile fueling codes. Spend less money on timers calculating how long drivers sit there and more money on bringing your fuel pumps up to date would be nice

This place has anything and everything you need! Very fun to go pick out various treats and gadgets while youre on the road. Lots of fresh salad sandwiches hot pizza and hot dogs and even Cinnabons!

I generally always have good service at all of the flying J or pilot locations but this particular location I had a very bad experience and you guys need to teach your employees customer service so they’re not so upset at the customers just because the card readers at the pumps are down. The cashier I had was not happy that I was questioning about the card readers been down at the gas pump. I’m giving a one star because she chose to not be nice after I had been traveling for four days trying to get moved. We all have bad days but when you’re working in a traveling center like that you need to be nice because you just never know what the customers going through.

Great inside experience. Subway was perfect. But the drivers taking their 30 minute breaks at the fuel pumps & not moving when someone is in line behind them waiting to use the pump, need to give up their CDL because clearly they dont know how to be a polite fellow trucker. What else do they do, on the road?

My favorite stop on 99!!! I used to be in EMS and on long distant transports this place was my go to. Now that I love in southern California I stop on my way up for family visits. Clean bathrooms. Good service. And they have everything!!!

It’s a truck stop. It will be busy, coffee will be sludge, and the pace is slower than city folk may be used to, but it is such a great spot! Right next to Denny’s and they have anything you could possibly need for your trip inside the gas station!

I love stopping here for gas and food. They always have fresh food cooking and if you need to shower they have that too ! They have it all at this one place, and its big !

Great service only thing when we got there a total of 4 adults 2 kids under 5 a party of 12 calls in their order. I believe they need a new system have a cook for dine in and a cook for customers actually dinning in the restaurant. That way your customers dont wait that long from call in orders to diners

It was very clean and friendly cashiers. Very convenient location by 99. Gas price was cheaper than in Fresno.

This place is gross, dead bugs on the floor of subways eating area, dog poop in the womens restroom that they were aware of and hadnt cleaned, barely competent employees, not a single friendly employee on duty even though there are hand written notes reminding them to smile and greet customers because they did not meet their stores goals. Stopped there to eat and shower left without doing either when my sprite from the soda fountain came out brown. Go anywhere else.

No soups or hot dogs. Subway has the hardest burns Ive ever eaten. They would chip a countertop. They didnt remove any empty soup pots but said that they were out of soup. If so then turn it off and remove the pots. Not impressed at all. Should have held out for loves or another pilot further down the road.

Exit 159 will get you to an all stop shop. This Pilot has a Cinnabon, Denny’s, pizza, Subway to start. The cheapest price on gas, today at least, from Los Angeles to this point. The restrooms were clean, again today. The young people working here were super attentive and nice. If you are a trucker they seem to offer all the amenities needed to clean up and park for a bit.

Good coffee. Always clean. Friendly. Lots of stuff for travel munchies. A must stop.

My family enjoys stopping at Pilot Flying J travel centers. This location is average compared to many of the other PFJs weve been to all over the country. No complaints, just not a memorable experience.

Love not only the gas prices but the variety of hot foods and drinks. Super cool that they have Chery-limeade fountain soda as not a lot of places have that flavor.

Pilots always have everything you need. Make sure you go to the Truck Stops. They have showers which you can pay for with your Pilot Card if you have points.

Anything you need they got it. The cinnamon buns are to die for. Oh, and the gas is reasonable.

Clean and friendly, easy on and off the 99. Plus the chicken pot pie soup is delicious.

The Pilot Travel Center, is almost always busy, but if you dont mind the hustle & bustle you should stop and check this place out.The gas and diesel prices are competitive and cheaper then most other stations.Last week when the family and I stopped for fuel, we also picked up some cinnabons, inside. There is a Dennysrestaurant, and several other eateries around the the same general area.

Amazing coffee machines. Grinds the beans when you make your selection. More than 10 brews to choose from. Really good coffee.

Had a very nice shower. Then I had problems at the cashier. The overcharged me and then took over 15 minutes and 3 cashiers later just to give me my money back. Spoke with the manager she was very nice and pleasant and explain the situation to her. She promised me that she would counsel them.

I like this gas stop for the restrooms and see all the souvenirs they sell. Stretch your legs by walking around the store. Nice place.

Im a fan of Pilot/Flying J - I get 5 cents a gallon off with my Good Sams membership, which means maybe $2 a tank in my Suburban, but its more than zero.Its also a good place to stop with kids for the inevitable potty break.And if you didnt buy your road snacks somewhere cheap, at least theyre convenient here.

Typically great price. Almost always very busy. Large selection of stuff inside. Basically never have an issue. They recently did away with the extra charge for debit cards which is extra awesome! Upgrading to 5 stars.

Very clean restrooms with affordable gasoline but can get busy and you may have a short wait while those ahead are pumpinggas. Has built in Subway with all the subway options and a little space on the side to eat. Also has options for pizza and cinnabon, though sometimes those can be out. Has a spacious and good dennys on the side as another option for those who want to have other options.

Always has great gas prices and the best snacks! Very nice and clean inside despite it being a truck stop. My one complaint is that all of their squeegee wands are haphazardly put together and they dont stay on very well... Its kind of dangerous. Lol

Good roomy parking lot. Too many messed-up kids as staff.Have been here countless times during the past year, so this isnt based on one experience or another. Its a consistent trend. Probably a problem with the local talent pool, because the same is true of the Dennys attached to it, and the Wendys across the street.

Staff was friendly and helpful great coffee and seems to be truck parking all over for the most part even down some of the streets slept on the curb no one bothered me so good deal so far.

Very spacious travel center. Restroom can accommodate all that is passing through. Would definitely stop here again.

Stopped in here and got 160 gallons of fuel. In and out in 15 minutes. When time is money it counts. I just stopped in here again today and they lost a star. All three self checkouts arent working and both employees I discussed it with couldnt have cared less.

I love pilot they have everything needed while on the road. Plus gas prices are the same rather using cash or credit. Thank you pilot for always being there.
