Very good mechanic quickly diagnosed and fixed the noise coming from my high mileage Civic. He also advised me of 2 other minor things that he noticed and explained what to look out for if those minor things became more serious. I had a good experience at his shop.

I have long mistrusted mechanics, this attitude completely changed when I met Chris. I know plenty enough about cars to know when someone knows his stuff. This guy is genius level. He was able to diagnose my toasted exhaust valves by the sound of the exhaust! He also fixed a boost leak in my intake manifold once while looking for something different altogether. Ignore folk claiming that he is expensive, as he charges the same rate as everyone else. Furthermore when someone knows what he is doing the job typically gets done quicker. How many times do you want to pay someone to throw expensive parts at a problem without first knowing what is actually causing the problem to begin with? Buying parts you dont need, and wasting hours worth of labor installing them! Proper diagnostics is the real art of being a masterful mechanic, and this is precisely where most mechanics fail, hard. They want to blame it on all the new high tech electronic stuff! It would be entirely appropriate to call him an automotive master diagnostician! Even after I move I will still tow my vehicles to this place. Thank you Chris!

I purchased a used Chevy pick up with an engine light on. Mileage was slightly over the warranty. I took it to Chris. Not only did he fix it, He got the Chevy dealership to pay for the costly repair. He could have easily just charged me for it. I will not smog my vehicles anywhere else. Recently he quoted the best price and repaired my step daughters car. I have found him to be nothing but honest and fair. I highly recommend him.

Chris Donovan is an excellent mechanic. He is a great diagnostician, not merely a parts swapper as are so many mechanics out there. I would not even consider going elsewhere.

We broke down in Madera driving from Tahoe to San Diego. We were desperate and Owner Chris Donovan took great care of us. He got us in at 6pm and stayed until he diagnosed our issue - front differential broke down. He got the parts, rebuilt it and had us back on the road in a little over a day. Highly recommend Donovans for all your car needs. Chris is a certified master mechanic and a nice person. Great combination.

I wish I could give this a negative star review. The mechanic is racist. His exact words to me, Why should I work on your peoples cars. What a disgrace, sad to see mechanics this way. Also, I almost have my A&P License so this just boiled my blood.
