This place is amazing! With covid and being unemployed, life has been tough. On top of everything- the starter on my car broke and I needed tools to replace it myself because I couldn’t afford a tow or a mechanic.They have bins here overflowing with spare sockets and wrenches and hand tools at $2/pound!!!!!It took some digging, but I got everything I needed and then some! Picked up some sawzall blades and drill bits and tin snips and roofing nails and so much more- on top of all the ratchet reducers and swivels and screwdrivers and plumbers tape and nail sets and omg at only $15!!!!This is the absolute best pawn shop I have ever seen in Macon. Tons of tools and they even had some high quality emerald jewelry in their case (I used to be a gem dealer) if anyone is looking to buy their lady an anniversary gift!I don’t see myself ever going to another pawn shop in Macon ever again!For 2 days in a row, I walk out feeling they saved my life with their prices and their heartfelt attentive staff!Please please check out this store before ever hitting up a hardware store again!It’s like stumbling across a hidden gem!

The staff here is awesome. I don t pawn but I come in for all the tools I need for my trade. They have the biggest selection and variety of tools I need and use that I don’t even bother with the large retailers anymore I just come here. I always deal with Jack but the whole staff seem sincere in trying to help you with the best way for your needs and budget. He always goes out of his way to make sure I have the right tool for the job and makes it happen for my budget.Don t take it from me go see for yourself and save a lot of money along the way.

Hey old south pawn!! I just want to say you are more then just a pawn shop u are our family. The compassion and friendliness every employee carries is heart felt. As soon as A customer walks in the store they are greeted with a smile. The store is always clean and finessed every step of the way.I moved her 1 year ago from Florida. I was in college and had to drop out. Everything was in my computer. I went to old south pawn and left with more then what I went in there for. I gained friends and a sense of security. As the months went on I could no longer pay on my computer. I always kept them abreast of my situation and they continued to extend it for me. When i could no longer pay it i thought to myself it must be gone but I remained hopefully it would still be there. I messaged them today April 9 th 2020 and asked if the Acer was still available. Tony replied and said remarkably yes!! and gave me the price to pick it up i was thrilled I told him Ill be their 1st thing in the morning. Thank u all soo much this review is the least i could do FOR a wonderful team!!

I love this place. The young man named Reko is so knowledgeable, patient, and respectful. I know I get on his nerves with all my questions, but if I do, he never shows it. The establishment is clean and professional. My favorite part of walking in the door is being greeted by the employees in such an enthusiastic way. A nice friendly place. They have great prices, the staff is very helpful. The owner is nice as well. The guy Dereko is very hands on and helpful. He was easy to talk to and he understood my needs. I knew what i was looking for but soon as I walked in the correct name of the brand of tools I was looking for left my mind. I explained it to the best of my ability and he went right to what I wanted. I love shopping at old south pawn. The guy Tony is also a nice guy. Ask for either of them when you go in. I bought a chainsaw with them 2 days ago, and they said if I had any issues at all when I hit the wood they would fix it. Well when I started to cutt the wood with it, the chain popped. Now I called and they said I dont know how to use a chainsaw so they wont help me.
