This place is like stepping back in time, when people actually were interested in your project and went at a slower pace. I love this place. Phil was very helpful and gave me a better option for my lumber needs. It actually saved me money and I’m very grateful.

As another reviewer said, what a treasure this place is!. Phil & Tom are incredibly helpful and generous with their time & experience and if you have to bring something back b/c it didnt work, they will accept it without question. Im in the middle of my first cabinet building project and I didnt realize that I needed Protrusion hinges to accommodate the pull out dwr in the bottom cabinet. I told Tom what I was doing and he immediately knew what I needed and had them in stock. Last night I installed them and the doors were overlapping each other and I couldnt figure out how to adjust them. I called Tom this morning and he pointed me to a small screw underneath the top of the mechanism that adjusted them outward to meet my 3/4 overlay marks and magically the overlap disappeared! A few turns of that screw and the in/out screw and now the doors align perfectly to the overlay and the face of the upper dwr! I thought that I would have to run the doors thru the table saw to get rid of the overlap, so a HUGE THANKS to Tom for showing me the way!! Good luck getting this kind of service at H.D. or Lowes...not a chance!

Wonderful selection, great service, and salespeople who arent pushy. You tell them what youre looking for and what youre going to use it for, and they help you find it - but they wont choose for you. They also have nice, fairly durable hardware, and a good variety of wood glues.

I first discovered this store in 1988, and then got busy with life, and building homes way north of there. I had forgotten what a treasure this place is!! Phillip the owner, apparently buys odd lots of product we sliver-picker guys all, on occasion, look for. as well as special order and other products I have not yet discovered in his store. I will be back!And the best part: every invoice is written up with a ball point pen!! Just like back in the good ol days!

After trying to get some wood from the big box stores (dont even try), Midway greeted me happily, knew what I needed, gave me options and got me squared away in around 15 mins or so. Great place to get what you need.

I went there once, was very happy with the service. Came back a week later, and was instantly greeted by my first name and was asked how my project was going.I do not know how they remember every customer but Ive seen it with my own eyes.Im never going anywhere else for lumber ever again.

This is the lumber place that all the others wished they were. I have always been able to find all the material I need for my cabinet and trim projects. In fact, many times I have driven away with a better alternative--at a better price--than what I went in for. When you see the same faces working at Midway year after year, you gotta figure they are doing something right. Wonderful selection of plywood and hardwoods! Very helpful and knowledgeable employees. I like stopping by from time to time just to see whats new. As a matter of fact, writing this review reminds me that I need to run up there tomorrow and find something to make shelves out of. Bet I find it!

Great experience. I went to a couple big box stores, as well as Dunn lumber looking for an abnormally large piece of melamine I needed for a project 3/4x5x10. The other places blew me off and said you cant find a piece that big I knew from research that these were available. Luck for me I tried Midway. Super friendly staff. The person that helped me made 2 phone calls and said he would have the piece I needed in 2 days. They have earned a new customer and I will tell everyone I know to go here also. Thank you!!

The level of service and quality of product you get from Midway cant be matched by any local lumber yard. Their half inch shop grade is better than their competitors cabinet grade. Ive been going there for years and have always recieved high quality customer service and expert guidance.

This place is awesome!! I dont own a router (and Im not very good at it anyway). I needed a solid wood windowsill with half round edges on three sides. No one carried one, not Home Depot, Lowes, or Dunns. I went to a millwork shop that Id bought molding from in the past and they had a $300 minimum purchase! I Googled some other Millwork shops which mostly seem to be painters. One directed me to Midway Plywood. This is the best kept secret in Lynnwood!! These guys have an awesome selection of boards. Plus, one of the guys that works there will do millwork on the side. All said and done, $60 for a prefect fit solid wood windowsill!! Check them out!

Really good place to work at bigger lot in two more years

So glad I found this place. I was buying material for a camper renovation and purchased some mdf from a big box store. Not really happy with my purchase I remembered a recommendation from a friend about buying plywood for his vintage vw bus from here. I made the long trek up from Woodinville and was pleasantly surprised to find much much better material at a great price. Now Im on phase two of the project and will definately be going back. And when I get to restoring the interior of my Volkswagen camper this is where Ill buy my plywood!
