This hot topic is pretty preppy. The music is much more poppy, sometimes they even have rap music. There is a lot more young young kids like 10-13 year old in this store, compared to other hot topic which cater to an older crowd. This store has a lot of popular animes and not much else. Sometimes you still find one or two cool things, but for the most part, its not a traditional hot topic

Walked in yesterday just planning on browsing, left with 2 shirts solely because of the great customer service I received from several employees.One looked up my account and found me a coupon.One found me a shirt from the back AFTER I had given up on finding it and was about to settle for something else.And the other employees at the shop were all helpful and friendly.And the shirt fits great!

Daughter loves this store. I wish Id got her name this last time. Helped me out letting me know the deals. Currently remodeling but I dont mind- a little brighter so you can see the true colors better. IMHO. Thanks!

Staff here are friendly and helpful with my what I was looking for. Never had a bad experience. I just wish that they would have earrings with dragons on them, or star trek tng earrings . That would be great.

Great store but the bad thing is they offer buy a Funko pop get one half off quite often and then when you check out you see that is clearly not the case. Total false advertising no matter what kind of bs they give u as a reason. Buy one get one half off means just that...stop playing us plz and ty

Went in today to exchange some pants. Ended up buying some more stuff and the ladies there made sure I was taken care of and honored my hot cash and rewards I used to buy my original pants. Super great and never pushy. Worth the drive up from Seattle. 10/10.

My kids love shopping on this syore.

The absolute best customer service. Was visiting with my NB teen who has sensory issues. While I was waiting in line, they went to check out another store and came back saying that the music was too loud. The HT associate heard that and asked if we wanted them to turn the music down to make the shopping more pleasant for my teen. Just so thoughtful and ready to help and make the experience the best they can.

We always enjoy spending money here and buying for my 3 kids, however last time I shopped there the store manager was very off putting with her tone,& demeanor. Her management skills were very lacking and extra. Her volume when speaking was so loud and very triggering with a very fake pleasant tone. Its hard to want to shop somewhere that the store manager is very annoying.

Super friendly staff when we went. Very knowledgeable and laid back, let us shop and if we had questions, they answered everything. Had a cool back to school special when we were here and the kids went bonkers. Very cool and unique items had us walking and staring at everything lol. Wish we had this type of staff back home. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back on our next visit. Store owner should be very proud to have this caliber of staff on hand!!

Staff was friendly, inviting and not overbearing. They check in with you like any place, but not every 30 seconds like boxed lunch (owned by hot topic). They know their stuff, and helped me find the what I needed as well as the best deal.Overall I really like this hot topic in particular. They dont always have the best deals of all the hot topics, but they have some of the best staff.

They had jeans that were one for 15 dollars, then an additional for 10. So basically 2 for 25! Awsome deal. Only issue was they only had one pair in style and size that worked for me. The lady behind the counter who had the stranger things costume had me wait at the counter while she looked in the back for a size that worked me for me so i got the full deal! Amazing!

Best place to find all the merchandise to satisfying your inner geek. There truly is something for everyone here, and the store has a unique feel to it. Its difficult to walk into this store and not spend more money that you had meant to. I kind of prefer to shop on the HT website, they have more selection.

I just came by because its close by and I like looking around but ended up buying 40+ dollars worth of stuff because of one super friendly person there. Im naturally introverted but she made me feel welcome and got me excited over things and made my visit really fun and enjoyable. Ive never had a bad experience of course at this store, the staff is always super friendly and they have great stock for a nerdy fangirl like me, but this visit was definitely made special enough to want to make note of it and post a review.

I love the Alderwood mall location. The staff is so great and the store is clean and organized, even during back to school. They go out of there way to help and offer suggestions. It is easy to shop here and earn the future hot topic cash.

This place sells really cool items. Some of it does seem a bit on the spendy side for what it is. Although you can find great deals here at times too. Its always fun stopping in to take a look and see whats new.

Seem to find the cool people working here when we randomly stop by, knowledgeable and supportive of their inventory by way of providing the best information to get the best deals and be aware of all promotions. They have great clothes and a great selection of Funko pop figures. They have nail polish, perfume, makeup cute bags. The only thing that could be better is the prices. Other than that everything is great!

Its the same store that I remember as a kid, just new stuff. Decent attention, not to pushy, helpful. As I have a need to return for wild and crazy things, I will.

I enjoy browsing through their Pop Vinyls, enamel pins, t-shirts, and keychains. Plus, their displays change frequently. And their staff is always friendly and helpful. This is always one of my first stops when I visit the mall.

A good store for the teens to twenty somethings. A bit too modern for me but still stocks a great and impressive range of stuff. Not metal enough for me but still always good for a nose about in.

This store is awesome when youre 13. Its not so awesome when you have to take a 13 year old there to shop because they think its awesome. However, the staff has always been friendly to my plight. They understand.

Location is actually roomy!The staff is friendly, without being pushy. Theres room to walk in the aisles, without the toddler Im carrying touching everything. And theres almost always a sale.

You know what I love about this store? That every time I walk in wearing my librarian-style work clothes, the associates still treat me like Im just as cool as they are, even though Im not.... I come here to buy gifts, and its always been painless.

Hot Topic is my guilty pleasure. No matter how old I get, my love for pop culture and inexplicable need to express that love in tshirt form never goes away. The staff are always nice and I can tell that the company has a good culture.

Great selection, clean and well organised - my biggest complaint was inconsistent sizing - only mediums on one shirt, only larges and smalls on another. As an XXL guy that got pretty annoying, managed to find the shirts I wanted in my size but was disappointed to see many cool shirts with zero size variety in a full stack! Staff was super cool and fun to be around. Get heavier music, though, hip hop is not at all what I expected from a store that prides itself on rock, metal, grunge etc!

Always has been always will be one of my favorite stores to shop in. Employees are always so kind and ready to help if needed.

Typical Hot Topic experience. Loud music, cramped areas, TONS of merch. These arent necessarily bad things, but if youre looking for someone to help you find the perfect gift for your son/daughter/niece/nephew/grandchild etc, and be your personal shopper, youre better off ordering online. I will say that despite the cramped space, the store is organized by fandom and/or character so you can self navigate pretty easily.

The staff member folding t-shirts couldnt answer basic questions about the current sales advertised on their big signs, which was only mildly annoying, so we had to go to the checkout to find out which sales applied to our merchandise.The girl working the checkout was strangely aggressive and tried to mask her blatant irritation with our questions about sales price with a sugary tone while she stared dagger at us the whole time and cut us off while we were speaking more than once.I know its Hot Topic and the dress code is probably pretty loose (plus its Halloween month) but she looked pretty legitimately insane caked in flaking white makeup and wearing a tube top with her hoodie zipped way down and something scrawled across her chest- We left our $75 purchase at the counter and walked out because she was so off-putting to speak to. She didnt seem to care at all about helping us, just moving us along.tl,dr: with the combination of clueless/passive aggressive employees well look for t-shirts elsewhere :-/

Hot topic I cant remember that employees that worked there but had a great time ended spending way to much... Lol I totally didnt know in the back.. Of the store they got grownup time stuff to buy and use at home.. Go check it out.. Totally not afraid to help you out

Okay Hot Topic. Not a lot a girls clothes. Mainly tee shirts. Just ok selection of accessories. Guys clothes mainly tee shirts. Guess this would be a good Hot Topic if you were just looking for a band shirt.

Actually, my daughter is the one that like this store, and the employees are very attentive and polite.

If youve been to one Hot Topic, youve been to them all, but this one is laid out better than most locations that Ive ever been to. Hot Topic remains the best place to get band shirts and Disney/anime/fandom stuff, outside of online storefronts.

They got the T-shirts I love and plus theyre on my size.

Best place to get mostly anything fandom related. I got a bring me the horizon shirt, blink-182 shirt, and the 1975 as well. They have nice beanies as well. The panic at the disco one I ordered was super soft and comfy. The atmosphere is very, well, depends on the kind of person you Are. They usually have rock music on and sometimes that can be a bit much for some people. Especially if its screamo 😂 In my opinion, I think the place is great! My favorite store in alderwood :)

I visit this store pretty frequently. The people that work there are generally helpful and nice. I needed to exchange a shirt for my husband and the difference was 4 dollars. The guy asked me if I wanted to get something for the difference. I said no thanks as it was crazy busy and I didnt really want to go digging through everything. He replied So you want the 4 dollars? Okay I need the card you used. I began to tell him that it was my husbands card and I didnt have it. He interrupted me and said So you want 4 dollars in store credit? Youre going to come back here for 4 dollars. Yeah actually....I go to this store all the time and I dont have time to dig around through the obscene amount of merchandise you chose to stuff your store with. He rolled his eyes and acted like I had just asked him to pick up the entire store and move it somewhere else. I have had the displeasure of working in retail. I know it sucks especially around the holidays but come on dude.

Staff was friendly, prices a bit steep but your paying for branding and to make a statement. The store is small, dark lightening I assume to set a mood, shelves are tightly packed, almost over crowded with merchandise. Limited to whats current/a popular within that genre.

This store is such an excellent place for pop culture and music nerds to buy tons of merch including clothes, jewelry, costumes collectibles and just plain cool nick nacks.Also, they usually have sweet deals like buy 2 get one free or even buy 3 get 3 free ! This is a such a good place to come back to time and time again year after year.Theyre also related to Torrid and BoxLunch (US only) not are still incredibly rad !!

Oh boy, does this place bring memories back. its really a look into the past, this store. but thats in no way bad. all the my chemical romance shirts you could want for the emos (like me haha), all the chokers and pins for your punk look, and even some cool gear for the gothic types out there. its really an amazing store to get your band merch. only cons i have is its a little small and kinda cramped, but the humorous and friendly employees make up for it. i always enjoy shopping in here!

Theres a larger clearance selection at this one in my opinion. The sales associates here are usually very kind and cheerful :) I chose 4 instead of 5 because the clearance stuff is just put into boxes which makes it more difficult to look through.
