Very inviting environment, staff was very friendly. I do say make sure when getting a hair style that they can do the exact hair you want. My daughter picked curls and they didnt tell us until after that she couldnt do the curls just the braid, although we were charged FULL price for half the hair do... Other than that it was a successful trip.
This is a candy store for those of us that love AG dolls, furniture and accessories. Im an adult collector, I always spend at least 2 hours in here each time. Its such a dilemma of what to buy next. Im super glad Im only 2 1/2 hours to the big Seattle store. Everybody is super helpful and friendly.I took my Nanea in for eye replacement, and they put this cute pink hospital gown on my doll. And treated her gently to be mailed in.My ONLY complaint is that the employees at the register always forget to ask if I have a rewards account (and if Im chatting I forget too), then Im halfway home, too far away to turn around, before I realize my purchase didnt get credited to my rewards account. When I purchased Nanea last fall at this store I was not told there was a rewards program. So my suggestion would be to have a small sign at each register so that guests and store employees remember to ask about the purchase going towards their reward account. The store also has the historical mystery books on sale for $1.00! While supplies last, what better summer reading than more about favorite AG dolls?
Very very Humiliating experience,, No Brown or black people allowed. The store employees follow brown and black people all through the store and keep staring at you... Avoid this store if you want to keep your self respect
Staff was wonderful. Helped us pick the perfect american girl doll and clothes
If your daughter or granddaughter love dolls, this is the place to go. Parker loves to browse and always finds something for Maryellen. We always have fun!
Theyre closing, and canceled our reservations while we were on our way. But we still had as much fun as possible.
We visited the store for my daughter’s 7th birthday and we were not disappointed. We were greeted at the door and the employees were very friendly, professional and helpful. It exceeded my expectations!
Really helpful and pleasant staff! Came in to get a gift and everything was easy to locate and the staff was around to answer questions.
Location is convenient easy to find, interior of it is large size a lot of space, well organized,Stuff are friendly, products well displayed it’s a little bit pricey!
I am very grateful to have the Lynnwood American Girl (AG) store nearby. Growing up as an AG doll collector in Hawaii, I would flip through catalogs and long for a store close to me. The AG company itself has always been in a class all its own. Its refined dolls, well-made accessories and superb products endure the years, making them well worth the pretty penny you pay for them.I came in with the realistic expectation that the Lynnwood location is not as grand as, lets say, the flagship Chicago store where Ive been before. Its quiet, but super cute with the potential to grow and improve. Alderwood is a great mall (my favorite in the Seattle area) and the store is well organized, neat and clean. Its big enough and complete with the doll hair salon, which I have used twice so far.Sabrina is wonderful to work with and the only person at this store that I trust my dolls hair with. She strikes the perfect balance of being both friendly and professional, while also being well versed in hairstyling. Be sure to request her. She did a fine job on my Molly, Addy and Samantha dolls hair. I get so many compliments on Addys braids in particular, which I am in LOVE with! Please see the attached photo of her awesome work. :)My dolls are a highly personal and expensive investment. Yours are, too.WARNING: You must protect them from certain associates here who are not well trained. I did not appreciate watching McKenzie pull roughly on Samanthas (my vintage doll from the 90s) hair and DRENCHING her precious locks in an excessive amount of water while running around to deal with other customers when she was supposed to be focusing on Samanthas hair during our appointment!!! I felt alarms going off in my body as she carelessly did so and immediately notified a nearby associate to call Jen, the manager. They took my contact information and Jen called me by the end of the day to reschedule Samanthas hair appointment with Sabrina instead. I appreciate that Jen offered to take care of Samanthas hair for free due to the inconvenience and horrible experience poor Samantha endured. Jen was very nice, easy to talk to and genuinely apologetic. I am glad she was available to smooth things over.Another associate, Julia, was rude and unwilling to engage with me. I thought her unenthusiastic, poor attitude was very unacceptable and not up to American Girl company standards.Just be careful here and protect your precious AG dollies. You will be sure to find joy at the Lynnwood American Girl store with the right staff members! :)
Staff didnt care about anyone. My son was having difficulties and we were blown off.
Super staff & great selections.
Pricey as you would expect but the ultimate experience for the American Girl doll lover! And the staff is so helpful! Don’t forget to bring your doll and have dessert after your shopping escapade! They have seats just for them at the table too!
I loved my whole experience in the store and over the phone! The staff goes over and beyond for the Kids especially when admitting a doll to the doll hospital. We sent my daughters bitty baby into the doll hospital and they took good care of her and fixed her exactly how we wanted her fixed! The only drawback was it took almost a month to get the doll back and was a long month in my house. My daughter has been sleeping with her bitty baby since she was one years old so this was a hard thing for my daughter! I couldnt be happier with American girl! Now that my daughter got her Bitty Baby fixed she wants to send her American Girl Rebecca in to the hair salon in the store to get her hair done.
Ive always loved American Girl doll store. I grew up looking at the magazines and circling everything. Now that Im older, I really appreciate the value of the dolls and the things they help teach and inspire the girls with. Ive now bought all three of my little sisters their own doll. Its a wonderful tradition to start, no matter how old you are. ❤
This store is little girl magic! Friendly and helpful staff. Hands on displays where all the toys can be touched. Thoughtful touches like Its my birthday! Stickers for birthday girls AND their dolls!
Pricey - but makes little girls (and older Women) happy :)American girl is pricey. There are cheaper dolls out there. But they have a HUGE selection of dolls, matching dresses / accessories, and back stories for each doll. Also a fair mix of races / nationalities as well. If you want to spoil (in the good way) a little girl its worth going here.Plan to spend $150-200 to get a doll and full dress set
My family and I lived in Vancouver, BC, Canada for 37 years. During that time, we spent many happy trips going to Seattle. Of course, we would make a special stop at American Girl in the Alderwood Mall. We purchased Molly there, just before she was archived, and we purchased many outfits for her and our Rebecca doll. Now, we live in eastern Canada and have since added Isabelle (2014 GOTY) and Maryellen to our collection. But we still miss the great AG store in the Alderwood Mall.
Staff is well trained. Very helpful and friendly.
The dolls tasted awful, terrible service. when I asked for a menu they gave me a doll with the name menu. not impressed. I tried chewing on the dolls hair and licking the eyeballs, but I have to say it was quite rough and I didnt enjoy the texture of the doll. work on the seasoning. overall my favorite meal was the stuffing of the dolls head- I reccomend that if you get anything.
We took our daughter her for her birthday. The store was fully stocked, lots of displays oh all the dolls. Staff was friendly. If youve been to American Girl before theres no need to warn of prices. However, if you have not, come with at least $200.We went to the bistro for lunch. It was just the 4 of us and we got the lowest level birthday package. It came out to $100 for a couple burgers and pasta. There was a little cake and ice cream. The food was pretty bad. The quality did not match the price. The only thing that made it worth it, was my daughter was super happy. If you dont own a doll, the bistro will lend one to you as well.
I visited this store last March for my birthday along with two of my friends. It was awesome! I got one of my dolls ears pierced, and we ate in the bistro. I even bought a doll, MAG 37! The only thing that sort of sucked was that I ended up having three dolls to carry around. I had my look-alike, MAG 25 (who got her ears pierced), and the doll I bought. The food was great, along with the desserts! The service was great! The bistro was beautiful! I wish that there werent those big windows, people kept staring at us.Overall, this was an awesome experience! I got to share it with my two best friends.
Having four daughters theres nothing better than a visit to the American Girl Doll store. This one has a cafe, a lot of retail floor space, interactive displays & a helpful staff. High marks for a destination visit to Alderwood Mall to stop in & spend some time with your daughter($) there.
Fabulous place!!! So clean. Im always amazed by cleanliness! So fun, even as mom, its such a fun place to be! My daughter loves hanging out there!
Wow. This is paradise for all doll lovers. A lovely experience. We brought in our newest doll, she had a stay at the spa while we shopped for her and her sisters. All got a new frock, accessories and my daughter got a matching outfit. A lovely experience but expect to pay for it!
Great service! We were greeted at the door and promptly helped! Thanks to Donna my daughters welliwisher is all fixed!
Clean, decently stocked. Overall a nice store. Missing items on the shelf here and there and seemed a little short staffed for all the activity but the staff I spoke with was very knowledgeable about the girls stories.
Love this place.sorry my little girl is all grown up.went there for my best friends granddaughter.
Just needed a gift card but the salesperson took me straight to the cash register, got a gift bag and rang me up. It was quick and easy. Nice gift bag.
Cute place. Love the selections. Will be back to get a doll for my granddaughters
The store was really easy to browse, and I didnt get lost or anything. I liked how they had a wall for the different dolls in their various outfits. Really cool
Hope my daughter grows out of this phase quickly! Super expensive, slow service, had a snooty person try to help. Luckily another, younger, associate came and knew what she was talking about.
Love this store!! Everyone is very knowledgeable and friendly! Lots of great books for girls and of course beautiful dolls, clothes, and accessories. Could easily loose an afternoon just browsing.
Staff extremely friendly!. Of course if kid loves American girl doll, then they go bananas here. Bring lots of money or credit card power and work it a of overtime later. :)
This place is kind of crazy. Id never been to an American Girl store before and Im not into dolls... But I really need the Mars lander play set and the space suit. Also, my seven year old daughter loves it here, so theres that.
Weve been here so many times- and theres always something new! The store is so child friendly, dolls and items to touch and play with- very organized and clean- and our favorite bathroom in the whole mall 😆
Took granddaughter fun time save your money up it cost a lot money
Fantastic. Awesome birthday party arrangements. Wonderful and kind staff.
This store is clean and bright and smells like cupcakes! Its like a little girls dream. They have a doll salon, a Cafe for birthday parties, and even doll holders in the bathroom stalls. Theyve really gone above and beyond to create an experience instead of just a store.
Went to the store this morning. Spent over $400 in dolls and accessories. Tried to eat at the Bistro but they didnt open until 11:30 this morning. No big deal... Wed go to our doctor appointment and return for a late lunch.Just left the AG store (2:50pm). The Bistro had 2 customers in it and the lady working refused additional customers. She said she was the only one working as the other lady had to go pick her sick kid up from school. That she was only honoring people who already had existing reservations. What a great way to treat customers....
Such a fun store!Lots of displays. Lots if helpers to guide you through. Clean, roomy. Love It!
Love you too baby girl and I will be there in a few minutes and Ill be
My daughter loves this store. So much variety
The customer service phone line needs a lot of help. Not only they cannot help (doll appointments, hold a paid order at store pickup) but when they tell you information on the above subjects they are wrong. Either they need more training or their management needs it
Wow. Its huge. I accidentally donated a hand me down doll. My 5 year old is mad. Anyway, xmas is aeound the corner. Grandma to the rescue...Nanea is perfect! Looks just like my girl! I was not prepared for all the amazing choices AGD has...wow.
Beautiful shop with quality dolls. Great place to throw an American Girl fans birthday party.Located in the Alderwood mall village outside the NE entrance.Find dolls and accessories for American girl dolls here. They have a doll hospital, salon and party packages.
Explore the american girl empire. Everything you ever wanted to see or do american girl style. From birthday parties to hair salons, a magical day awaits your child. And for the dads out there, a very nice and calming bathroom in pleasant colors. Its a bit spendy in here but it makes my kiddo really happy
I haven’t actually been here because the nearest store is in Portland and it is permanently closed. Sadly. But anything ag related I love so ya. 5 stars. If possible could an ag store open again near me? I live inVancouver WA. ?😐? Pls? Just so you no I’m ten. I ❤️ ag. 😇
Im really not the right person to evaluate. But my wife, daughter in law and grandkids loved it.
Salon was great. Fixed my 30 year doll right up. Check out messed my amount but they fixed it
It was fun shopping & decorating for a mini Tieg, for my Tieg. It made the experience more meaningful and special and I think she feels/felt the same way, I think because of it she will treat her Samantha really well and respectfully. I think I had as much fun picking her out as my daughter did! The ear piercing, the hairstyles, the outfits, Glasses, shoes, the endless accessories! A great fun must have vacation date for any mother & daughter who live in a town or city that do not have one of these stores.
It was meant for little kids it had interactive stations for the kids it was really pink and girly
All the sales people in there were nice and courteous very helpful didnt know what to get and they pointed us into the right direction
Great selection. Just pricey
Ok so I only had an American dollars years ago that my grandma gave me, and I never even knew this type of thing existed for them! (Probably my parents doing). I went in, and its very expensive (its American girl though...) And it was so cool. They have a doctor, a hair stylist, and a bistro. Super cool. If I was 8 again. I would be going crazy.
Pleasent help, nice decor and lighting. Kinda expensive.
First time here. Its HUGE! So many things to look at and play with and do! They do events and are SUPER friendly and knowledgeable about the products and Care of the dolls.
My twin daughters each received an AG doll for Christmas last year. I then took both my girls to the store a month later to get new outfits for their dolls. My daughters had the time of their lives and the staff was friendly and attentive to me and my daughters. It is a dreamland for little girls.
Location at Alderwood Mall is closed as of May 2021.
Great place for kids to get toys or just to play.
We brought my daughters AG (Madame Alexander) doll in for a makeover: hair, nails, earrings, one outfit, and an accessory. The staff was considerate and never mentioned that the doll was not an AG. At first we were both a tad overwhelmed by all the possibilities. The staff guided us all the way. Unfortunately, the outfit my daughter wanted was only available with a new doll, which was disappointing. However the staff helped us put something together that my daughter was really happy with. While the prices are quite high for doll clothes and accessories, the experience we had and the joy my daughter felt when she got Rose back was totally worth it. I think this is something we could do a couple times a year.
I would of given 5 stars because all associates were very welcoming, helpful and the store is easy to browse and shop but once I purchased my items, Kaya’s saddle for horse steps high and a two doll bag carrier the excellent service I had received fizzled. I wasn’t asked if I needed a gift receipt. I didn’t remember until after the transaction. My items were placed in a bag. I asked if I could have a box to wrap the doll bag. I was told the boxes were only for the clothes but she would give me tissue. I noticed the customer next to me was getting her items wrapped in tissue with a star sticker so I aske for the sticker she went in a drawer and got a sticker then asked if I needed a birthday sticker too. Upon leaving I met up with my friend who was still getting her items checked out. The young lady checker her out, Carie?, I think and I hope she doesn’t get back lash, gave me a box! She is why I will travel up from Normandy Park to shop at this store again. Genuine brick and mortar customer service from entering to leaving!
Very nice store with a cafe and even a beauty salon for the American Girl Doll, clean and very organized.
Great store, my kids love it but it is a very expensive habit to maintain. At least it motivates the kids to save their allowance so they can actually afford anything in there with their own money.
Its a great place to shop for little girls play items
Just took a stroll through. My home girl enjoyed it.
Daughter loves this store. The prices are astronomical, tho. Over $100 for one doll which doesnt include accessories. They never go on sale.
People always told me girls were expensive. But, still, I wanted to go for daddys little girl. Im so screwed.Hey, American Girl, how about complimentary beers for dads?
Its an adorable store and an amazing concept. I can only imagine the market type that this appeals to and keeps it in business. Unfortunately its not for me, and I go there periodically because my little girl wants to look at dolls. Its not that its bad or anyting, just a little bit out of my price range. Everything does look well made and well-constructed, they also have a full-fledged salon for your doll! So if your doll needs a haircut or needs to be mani pedid, they can hook you up.
Never order online. Very slow delivery.. We are waiting for more than 10 days.. and customer representatives are not sure about delivery date in Canada.
Omg this place the most horrible place ever .... we had birthday party schedule and put the deposit when we get there .... we don’t even have room ugggg .... there are sooooo un professional 😡😡😡😡🥵🥵🥵🥵😡😡😡😡
Im Caucasian and I was getting Addy and the lady at the counter asked and I quote, Wouldnt you rather get a doll who looks more like you like Kit or Maryellen those are pretty dolls and they have a better reputation. I still love the dolls and their stories but not always the employees
Dangerous with a young one.. Haha but really fun at the same time. Very expensive stuff but lasts..
Cant wait to bring my granddaughter back
Staff are very friendly, they have an assortment of dolls and product out on display that the children can try and the cafe is the perfect place for a pampered lunch (but not too pricy)!
It was a good bday celebration here today
Very friendly store for kids to spend time trying out toys and have a playful time.
Expensive, but if you already have one of their dolls, you know what to expect. Its a cool experience for the little ones, and for me, thats what matters most.
This is such a cute place to bring little girls. My daughter and niece loved it! Both the bistro and the store. The bistro allows you to borrow a doll if you dont have one. Theyre freakin expensive if you are looking to buy (at least $100!) and that doesnt include the extrad accessories and clothing. The food was decent, but a little overpriced for the quality. Service was wonderful though! The girls loved being able to eat with dolls at the table, but it was a pain trying to leave without a doll...
Good service but store policy is pathetic. We know its overpriced. .however. .an overpriced high chair could at least have a picture of the product so a young child is able to anticipate whats inside..extremely cheap..plus..you are unable to call the store to have questions answered. .very dissatisfied
This was the most wonderful doll store Ive ever seen.
Just a cute store for big girls, and little girls.
Granddaughter and I did the Fathers Day Brunch there. They made the day a very special event for us! Five Star.
Best store ever!! Cant wait to go back
I got her hair done it’s so pretty😂😂❤️❤️
Love AG! 2019 girl of the year celebration was a delight!! See you in 2020
Yes. I liked the place because it helps me to have a great gift for my sweetie litte daughter.
Everyone was helpful and not pushy about what to buy.
The staff here is always so friendly and knowledgeable!
Very nice people working there.
Spoooky, need more eye colors
Amazing store. The kids loved it!
The terrific staff made a little girls dreams come true and were joyfully indulgent of her boundless enthusiasm.
